Mario Badescu Whitening Mask

Hi all!

Here's another product from Mario Badescu, seriously, it's like my blog has been invaded by Mario's stuff and all seems so good. I'm trying to be realistic and it seems like so far no fault are made.

Let me show you the Whitening Mask. By reading on the reviews from the website of mariobadescu.com  it's all praises and swearing how good the product is.

This is it, a simple form of a whitening mask in a pot. All Mario Badescu's products are in this simple bottle, pot, etc. They sell what's in it, not the packaging. Why do I write 'smells good'? Simply because the mask smells really good. A merit between fruity and flowery, berry and freshly made.

Details from their official website:
This hydrating mask will help brighten uneven skin tones and gently minimize the look of old acne scars and discolorations from the sun. Skin lightening, natural ingredients like Kojic Acid, Licorice and Mulberry make this mask gentle for all skin types. Contains no Alpha Hydroxy Acids making it safe and gentle for acne erupted or very sensitive skin.

How to Use: Apply a thin layer of mask on clean skin avoiding eye area. Wait 5-10 minutes and rinse thoroughly with tepid water. Follow with serum and moisturizer. Use 2-3 times a week.

Ingredients: Deionized Water (Aqua), Kaolin,Balsam (Myroxylon Pereirae Resin) Peru,Wheat (Triticum Vulgare) Starch, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Sorbitol, Kojic Acid, Mulberry Extract, Licorice Extract, Grape Extract,Scullcap (Scutellaria Galericulate) Extract

Here it is the white mask looks like a white clay that again smells good. I uses it after cleaning the face and the oh-so-thick mask is better to be used with a brush for mask application. If not, it's okay, I used fingers as well during this photo shoot, don't I look happy in it?! Simply because I do!

Usually mask feels a bit sting, smells bad, or simply ineffective. This one feels good, smells really good and effective too. The mask become dry in less than 10 minutes. Feels soft to the touch and not 'wet' anymore.

I cleaned the face with a warm water and my konjac sponge but there's still some waxy feeling on the skin. A bit sticky but when dried, not sticky anymore. Remember to keep checking the mirror whether the mask already thoroughly clean and it need a gentle rubbing to remove all of them. I proceed with toner, serum and moisturizer. The skin looks instantly fairer and I can't find my black heads, where are they?!

Overall, I like this mask for being so fragrant from natural resources, easily applied, doesn't make the skin dry, instead it create a film that keep the skin hydrated, a bit difficult to be cleaned, instant fairness right after the mask is removed and rumor has it that it can be used overnight too. I'll definitely try it on since I believe it does for the ability to keep the skin hydrated inside.

What can I say? Another brilliant product from Mario Badescu, made available locally by Luxola.

  3. probably after continuous usage, avoid sun at it's peak and use plenty of sun protection when exposed to sun whether indoor or out
