Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash

bekerja sama dengan Clozette Indonesia aku akan mereview Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash. There's two bottles of body wash of the same product which delivered to me.
Berikut adalah list ingredients lengkapnya:

Berikut review aku untuk body wash ini,
secara tekstur, gel yang sedikit cloudy ini sangat mudah berbusa karena ada kandungan SLES yang notabene adalah detergent. Buat kamu yang sensitif terhadap bahan ini agaknya kurang tepat diberi label "suitable for sensitive skin".  Aku akan coba mereview produk ini se-objective mungkin karena banyak bahan yang bagus juga meski kandungan yang tercantum adalah SLES. Tingkat keamanan pemakaian sangat bergantung pada cara dan seberapa sering kita pakai, perlu diketahui untuk berhati-hati agar tidak terkena mata ya, karena ini kan sabun untuk kulit juga bukan untuk cuci mata hehe.

Untuk aku pribadi, busanya cukup mild (karena selalu pakai shower puff yang bantu membusakan agar aku tidak perlu memakai produk terlalu banyak, alias lebih irit donk hehe). Tapi secara umum produk ini mudaaah banget dibusakan (karena alasan ingredient tadi). Nah, apakah ada efek lembab atau melembutkan? 

Di kulit aku, ada efek melembabkan yang mild. Jadi habis mandi tetap harus pakai body lotion atau body cream favorit. Kulit aku gak berasa keset banget atau kaya ketarik, jadi masih oke untuk kulit aku yang memang tergolong kering dan sensitif ini. Enak dan cukup nyaman juga, seperti kulit berasa bersih tapi tidak kekeringan.

Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash ini biasanya aku pakai sebagai shower gel, jadi aku basahkan dulu seluruh tubuh dan setelah dibusakan baru busanya yang aku pakai untuk membersihkan kulit. Karena belakangan aku juga jadi lebih sering mandi (karena selama pandemi) setiap kali keluar rumah begitu masuk langsung mandi hehe biar gak bawa kuman ke anak-anak dirumah. Body Wash ini juga bisa dibawa untuk cuci tangan sesering mungkin saat diluar rumah.

Aku juga bisa pakai di bath tub, sambil berendam, pas banget saat aktivitas di siang hari yang panas, kulit sudah penat, penuh keringat dan lengket, dan ngebayangin kumannya aja udah geli banget. Tuangkan sedikit demi sedikit di air hangat suam suam kuku, dan bantu dengan shower cloth untuk menggosok permukaan kulit. Aroma lembut Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash ini amat sangat lembut ya dan semua aroma yang tercium adalah bahan alami.

Setelah mandi, saat kulit masih moist dan lembab lembut gitu, langsung pakaikan lotion agar kelembaban terjaga lebih lama. Saat kulit lembab, bahan yang melembabkan kulit dari lotion/cream lebih bisa diserap atau 'lebih mudah nempel' dan menjaga kulit lembab berjam-jam. Bisa juga kamu lanjutkan dengan produk Aveeno lainnya, selain untuk baby, ada juga Aveeno lotion untuk kulit dewasa.

Kami sekeluarga masih ingat banget dulu sering beli Aveeno saat masih tinggal di Singapura karena produk Aveeno ini terkenal dengan tag 'natural' nya. Meski memang tidak 100% natural but their products can be kinder to the skin. Sekarang bisa dengan mudah kita dapatkan di Indonesia, variant nya pun semakin lengkap, semoga Aveeno terus berinovasi dan memberikan produk yang lebih baik lagi untuk kebutuhan kulit kita sehari-hari untuk jangka pendek maupun panjang.

Aveeno Baby

last week I went to an event with Aveeno thanks to KBBV in Mother and Baby Fair 2018 in Balai Kartini. The event went on smoothly with a doctor in the house, representative from Aveeno Indonesia and an influencer which is also a mom with concern over her baby's skin.

The doctor is Dr. M. Akbar Wedyadhana, SpKK, FINS-DV and the mom influencer is Ellyse Sinsilia. Dr. M. Akbar is happen to be a dermavenereologist from Senopati Skin Center, so he definitely qualified to talk about skin condition.

During the event, we talk about skin sensitivity in babies and young kids, as well as how to keep the condition healthy and comfortable. So there's things that we can actually do even thou' the condition (like perhaps sensitivity) is considered permanent due to hereditary from the previous generations (aka parents). You can definitely heard more on my Instagram account (@Carnellin) since I post most of the talkshow on instastories.

The thing is, we tend to generalized the kids condition based on society, so if all babies are using Telon oil (for example) we thought that would be the best for our kids without even learning that our babies might allergic to it or just simply couldn't take the heat. Or other 'misconception' like some babies aren't supposed to be bath, or cleanser regularly while medically they were supposed to be cleaned well using proper skincare, like in this event, introducing Aveeno Baby.

As a mom, I always tested the products on myself first before giving them to the kids, and since I'm also having sensitive skin that will react almost in a number of days or sometime even almost immediately, I can offer them (my kids) as a human tester. I can feel assured that Aveeno Baby products that have met the US FDA Standard can be safely use for my children. The product contain so little aroma means that most mass produced products in Indonesia market for kids is bombarded with unnecessary perfume and ingredients that can harm their delicate skin.

I'm back with another lotion from Aveeno, what can I say, I'm a big sucker for Aveeno. They have these lovely products that actually kind enough for my dry skin.

I easily get eczema lately, seems like my skin is getting worst. I love lotions, I have tons at home from drug store brands to the perfumed ones all the way to the sensitive items. Now, I can only use the products for sensitive skin, sometimes, for ultra sensitive skin.

As written on the details and at the packaging, it is my skin's savior. It really helps my skin becomes soft, smooth and finally has freedom from nasty eczema. It is sometime itchy, like a dried wound, and it doesn't look pretty either. It bothers me so much since it means I can't just use any body lotion that I like. There's so many out there that looks irresistible, smells good and comes in pretty packaging. But I can't really use them thanks to my skin's condition. I don't know whether it is a temporary condition or permanent, but for now, the health of my skin has become a priority and using products such as Aveeno does helps.

I'm using the lovely white creamy lotion twice a day on daily basis after a shower. It easily glide on the skin and doesn't feel greasy nor oily. Comfortable and pleasant all the way everyday. It doesn't have any distinct scent, like even almost none.

The skin feels like there's a thin film protecting the skin from dryness, feels moist but still transparent and light. I don't know about staying 24 hour on the skin since I still have to use it twice a day due to my skin's very dry condition.

Overall,

a superb option for my dry and sensitive skin, it calms, relaxed and gives me comfort. My skin appears healthier and gradually the eczema are healing and disappearing one by one.

I've made a post before this for their daily moisturizing lotion, this is the lighter version from their formula, sheer hydration. Even thou' it was sheer the hydrating ability is still pretty good and satisfying.

The bottle is similar, just comes in a lighter shade of blue. The original formula is in vivid green, this one is baby blue, they look refreshing. So does the texture and color of the lotion, similar to any lotion, but the texture is closer to the gel, but still in the cream section. A sheer but not yet transparent.

The verdict.

I love this product as it helps my dry skin to become moist with a silky effect yet still powdery. The skin can still 'breath' as the product is far from heavy. There's a bit stuffs in the ingredients list that may not suitable for those with sensitive skin, do read up everything before using a product.

But for me, so far, the lotion hasn't create problem.

Overall,

a non perfumed lotion that cares and moisturizes without any rich feeling nor heaviness. It helps my skin to feel comfortable and away from dryness. Sometime the skin feel so itchy when it is dry, when using the product, I no longer have any itch to scratch.

Those with very dry skin may need to reapply a few times a day. Perhaps to summed up,  this is probably a product made for summer than winter.

Love it and everyone in my family are using it with me, it's that one lotion we can all enjoy.

I've used many body lotion and lately has been neglecting my skin since I simply gave up. Most body lotion sold in Indonesian market made my skin even worse, the high content of perfume, chemicals and other disturbing ingredients simply make normal skin become so dry. I think I was one of the 'victim' from those lotions. So when you happen to use products that made the condition worse, simply put it off.

The thing is, usually they don't happen within hours or days, sometime it took weeks, for me, after using a product that made my skin so dry, I can see the significant result in a week later. Even after stop using it.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is one of the product that gave me good result within that day. My dry skin become moist, yes, there's that filmy or balmy sensation left on the skin, but overall it was comfortable.

The lotion is white and light creamy in texture. There is not hints of scents, so the aroma is pretty plain like none. Absorbed well after around 10-20 minutes but when the skin touches water, the lotion feeling is there again. So pretty much the lotion is there on the skin to keep them moist on the surface.

Do I satisfy with the product? Yes. So far it is far better than any other lotion I've tried.

Unfortunately, it is not available in Indonesia, I got mine from hubby's recent trip to Australia. I presume they have higher standard in skincare that are more to the naturals, against animal testing, use less chemicals that are known to be dangerous to the human kind, and so on.

The formula itself is pleasant, comfortable to be used daily, day and night and the skin feels comfortable all day and night long. I enjoy the non scented lotion as sometime perfumed lotion can be a bother too, if one can use unneeded ingredients, why not. Less chemical, better result.
