W~III Skincare

Hello lovelies,

those who are following me on instagram or youtube, must have known about my recent love, it's W~III Skincare from Taiwan. Please do watch the video at my youtube channel (here) before continue reading the post. You'll see the texture as well.

On the video, I'll share with you two products I've received and in this post it will be three, Night Cream, Essence (or serum) and Day Cream. I've been using the Night Cream and Essence since perhaps two weeks before receiving the Day Cream, and now, I'm using them continuing the routine.

Look at the packaging, they look gorgeous, right?! Some even say the container itself is luxurious. I do agree, and the one that made me interested in the products even more, is what's in it.

Let's start with the details of the essence or serum.

Nerd alert, this is for those who really want to know the research behind W~III Skincare, and I must say, it does contain a handful of difficult words, don't be embarrassed, do google up. I really feel the need showing you this since, for me, it's ground breaking and mind blowing too. Like they did a pretty serious stuff in finding the right ingredients and formula for that highly effective skincare that made any other skincare in the market (no matter how pricey they are) looks less beneficial.

And please do compare W~III with other high quality skincare on its class, and not that mass produce stuffs that really bad for your skin where it is filled with bad chemicals and water only.

β-glucans are notable for their ability to modulate the immune system. They work in an incredibly powerful way by stimulating the activity of

macrophages, which are versatile immune cells that ingest and demolish invading pathogens. As they do so, they stimulate other immune cells

to attack. Macrophages also release cytokines, chemicals that when secreted enable the immune cells to communicate with one another. In

addition, beta glucans stimulate lethal white blood cells that bind to tumors or viruses, and release chemicals to destroy it. Not surprisingly

then, they turn out to be useful antioxidants. One study found that yeast-derived beta-glucan could reduce free radical formation in vitro.

For ages, it was believed that the large molecular structure of beta glutens would prevent them from effectively penetrating the skin. This all

changed a few years ago with a study published in International Journal of Cosmetic Science. The results showed that beta-glucan, “despite its

large molecular size, deeply penetrated the skin into the epidermis and dermis.” The same team tested 27 people to evaluate the effects of

beta-glucan on facial fine lines and wrinkles. After 8 weeks, there was “a significant reduction of wrinkle depth and height, and overall

roughness.”

So after the penetration issue was resolved, a team at the University of Alberta discovered how. It seems that the beta glucan enters the skin

the same way that water penetrates a brick wall. “It does not go through the brick, it goes through the concrete binding the bricks together,”

explained the lead scientist. “As a result of our study, we now know that glucan works through the inter-cellular lipid matrix, or the cells’

cement, to enter the lower levels of the skin. Of medical significance is the fact that beta glucan creams promote wound healing and reduction

in scaring following surgical procedures.”

Other researchers believe that beta glucan stimulates collagen, possibly by inducing the release of immune/inflammatory mediators, such as

IL-1 and NFkB.

Need me to sum it up?
Basically, the ingredients help healing, build immune, strong antioxidant, reduce scar in a significant way (obvious to the naked eye), reduce wrinkle and lines too, and many more. And in my case, the first visible sign is the pores, they literally shrunk to a soft and smooth appearance.

Above is the serum, I put some in a small bowl and the below image are is for Day Cream (lighter blue with gel like consistency) and Night Cream, slightly purplish with richer cream like texture that easily drank by the skin.

All of their products contain no colorant, so the 'blue-ness' are from the natural ingredients with high concentrate and really good for the skin.

I love their smell, it's so faint and floral. Signs of using natural ingredients for sure. All of them, from the essence, day and night cream works hand in hand in creating a better skin for me. Even thou' their texture is really light (those with normal to oily skin can enjoy), dry skin like mine is happy also. It is enough. I can add another hydrating emulsion when needed but these three is a great anti aging formula that I can't even compare.

Trust me when I said that I've tried so many skincare in the market, from the luxurious to mediocre, and again, I want to speak in the level that is somewhat equal with W~III and it's superb.

I'm almost 40 years old, hence I know the real issues of aging. I'm living it, and I've been using anti aging products before reaching 25, almost all the high end brands in the market has landed on my skin, I know their texture, scents, they effectiveness and some even faults too. I can say that W~III Skincare, actually works, they made differences.

I used to have normal skin in my 20's and change to dry and sensitive, it's normal for a skin to change perspective and changing products according to the skin's need and W~III filled the skin with the needs I am right now. Lines, some large pores, some sensitiveness, dehydration, uneven skin tone to some dark spots.

Using W~III Skincare (especially the Night Cream and Essence) for around 3 weeks now, I can see that the skin appear healthier in terms of fading spot, smaller pores as mentioned above that made my skin appear smoother, to help in even out the skin tone. The fine lines near the eyes are definitely reducing, so does some other fine lines. The laughing lines are reducing too, and I hope it'll keep reducing so my skin appear younger and healthier.

The Essence is powerful yet so light and comfortable, the Day Cream is like a cool refreshing gel that hydrates and perfect for the day, and the Night Cream replenish the skin even more when we asleep, none of them have heavy texture, none of them is greasy, all of them are so easy to be used and show amazing result.

The details sounds so impressive and astonishing isn't it?! But imagine of using sticky, slimy eggs on to the skin (or hair), the smell and texture itself my put some off for a while. Again, due to aging or one of the thing that said to be aging is larger pores, it's just the way it is. The skin wasn't able to retain moisture as it is and loose it flexibility in keeping them tight, so the skin stays after enlarging. So the pores are like breathing things where they can become large or shrink, like when we were hot they will open up and when we are cold like after an ice mask, the pores are definitely shrinking.

Now, to keep the pores small, things need to be done in regular basis, and keeping them clean also one of the way, if they were clogged, they'll stay open. So cleanliness also one of the key, why don't we start with the cleanser then.

The product lathers well when added with water, but there's this tartness, like when you are touching white eggs that started to dry up, there's this sensation or feeling of rigid, I'm not saying it as a good or bad thing, more like describing as it is. The face feels weirdly clean thou, since there's this tart feeling. So, it kinda feels like there's some leftovers on the skin, it's a good thing that the other thing I have is their Cleansing Water.

A no-rinse cleansing water that immediately shrinks visible pores and leaves a refreshing finish without stickiness.

Directions

Sufficiently moisten a cotton pad with the product and lightly wipe your entire face. You can leave it on stubborn makeup to absorb for easier removal. Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water and finish with cold water.What?? So we need to rinse it or not??

Funny thing, the details said to use it on a cotton pad and it cleans the skin (kinda like micellar water) but then after that, they said to rinse it off (all the details are from The Face Shop official website), so it's a bit confusing for me to use it like toner or rinse it off. But I feel better with rinsing it off since again, there's this tartness or taut or tight feeling afterwards. Those who owns oily skin perhaps will enjoy this matte like feeling. But the sides of my nose feels a bit pain, like being too dry and irritated. Still, the rest of the face is fine, so perhaps I just keep on focusing on the upper cheeks near below the eyes area where the pores are visibly large and not anywhere else.

Those are seems to response well and appear shrunk. I like it.

Overall,

a relatively good daily cleanser (not makeup remover) that focusing on large pores, making them appear smaller like when using egg whites without the stickiness or slimy feeling of an egg, and not the gamy and smells too, so they smells pretty good. Those with oily skin will enjoy this product even more while those with combination to dry perhaps using the products on some areas that need the effects.

Vichy Idealia Lumiere

these babies are a relatively a new items in the Vichy Singapore, a place where I bought them a few months back. Vichy itself is one of my favorite brand from France that provide beautiful skincare. I love their moisturizers, gel masks and so on.

These are some of products I have, but the stuffs that I'm reviewing in this post is only the Idealia Lumiere. The ones that I felt most interested at the moment since Idealia is a line made for 30's, which is my age right now.

It's the series that helps fighting dullness, large pores and uneven skin tone, the first signs of aging.

Apart from what I mentioned above, my skin is also dry, which is why, again, I choose Vichy Idealia since they do care for dehydration too, plus still in the heart of Vichy, they also contains mineralizing thermal water that contains necessary elements in keeping the skin stronger and in better condition.

You can get the moisturizer alone or like me, with the serum as well, since I don't think I can get over serums. They are made to marvel, lighter in texture but packed in things that I really need and essential for the skin.

So you can be sure there's no surprise, or may I say, unpleasant surprise later, just make sure you do read all the data, just in case you might have some allergies to one or some of the ingredients.

Aside from that, Vichy Idealia Lumiere comes in a lovely soft pink hue, it is hard to missed since it is probably the only series in Vichy that comes in pink. It is said that the effects of using them would create a charming rosy glow, this is really a trend among Asian with yellowish tone.

I am Asian and I do have fair yellowish tone, I don't mind my skin tone whatsoever but I do like to see how I am in rosy tone, perhaps they'll made me looks better.

Amazing isn't it?! The result are seen and felt within a month, that's pretty fast for a skincare product, a drugstore brand to be exact. The formula has a rich creamy yet light texture which I can use day (and night too). I don't feel any greasy nor oily side effect, just comforts and love those hydrating agents. My skin enjoys the softening effects too, they made my skin appear more relaxed, calm and there's this lovely, in-love-like radiant glow.

Good news for healthy minded people, their product is paraben free, hypoallergenic and best of all, non comedogenic. Do you know that using bad products can gives you comedo, acne and even irritate the skin? So do use ones that are known for being safe and effective at the same time. Never go and sought products that doesn't comes with safety standards or your skin will pay for it.

As for me, Vichy is a guarantee of a high quality product made with safety and care in hand.

And Idealia Lumiere is a range that is so perfect for me right now, it have all the needed basic for a 30's like me, from the texture, brightness, anti dullness, moisture, to this amazing radiant without any guilt that they will clogged the pores nor paraben.

Adding the brilliance of the product, I use the serum as well, just before the moisturizer.

The serum is of course, lighter, runnier, and easier to be taken by the skin. So I clean my skin really well, use a toner or softening water or face mist, and this serum. It's a watery gel in texture and has a similar scent with the moisturizer, soft floral.

They both are made to be used with each other. They compliment each other, one prep the skin with abundance of ingredients that
Recharge the skin with Peony root and Vichy pH Balancing Thermal Water to energize fatigue skin for hydrated rosy glow in gel like form which is so lighter and the other in creams that seals the deals. So one works by penetrating into the skin while the other on the surface.

The result is everything you see in my skin. Soft, radiant, moist, supple and a hint of rosy glow which I find to be a nice surprise. A brightening product usually stuck on being so fair and pale, while this one is making the skin appears happy with a hint of blush.

Conclusion, definitely products that I'd recommend.

DearPacker Madagascar Clay Mask

I want to share with you one unique mask that I got during my recent trip to Korea. I know there are so many clay mask on the market right now, most of them dries up and tightens, this one stays moist even after 10 minutes is up. And what's great about the mask, it can help reducing oils, large pores, yet still feel comfortable and non-drying.

The packaging is a pot, I wish it came in a tube like container so it would be more hygienic. There's a faint citrus scent and mostly earthy, like woods and  suddenly I'm in the middle of a forest. I happen to have several sachets given when buying, that's why I fell in love with Korea, whenever I bought something, they'll throw in so many freebies from sachet samples to full size items.

Living in Jakarta means pollution from the water that we use everyday and air too. As early as 9 am I noticed that the air quality here already so foggy with smoke from the traffic. It's horrible. We may use air purification device at home, but when we're in the car, or going out, we have no choice than to be surrounded by those pollution.

Our breathing system is threaten by the low quality air and so does our skin. Believe it or not, our skin breathe too and they also 'forced' to take the pollution. That's also the reason why we need to take showers daily, it cleanses, but the one that is kinda difficult to clean is the one that are hiding inside our pores. A deep clean like using this kind of mask is necessary. Clogged pores could lead to breakouts, acne, irritation, to aging, large pores and many more problems.

This product allows a deep cleanse of the pores and smooths the skin. It removes the residues from the face and exfoliates any dead skins. It also tightens the pores and manages the white&black heads. This product does not dry out like other clay masks.

(10 minutes is up)

Look at that, the mask is still the same as when I applied them. It is still as creamy and flexible as when they are first applied. The cream is so smooth and soft, unlike other clay or kaolin based mask that's so brittle and sometime sandy that dries up like cement but it's like that blended avocado. Creamy, delicate and feels good on the skin.

I rinse them off and noticed that I only applied them on areas troubled by large pores, oils and black or white heads while avoiding the dry parts like cheeks?! So whenever I'm using mask (any kind of mask), I like to keep them per zone, except maybe mask that promote hydrating since it can be used to just about any part.

Another good thing about this mask is that, it help dries up acne. I have one acne under the nose and it's been bothering me that day, after using the mask, I find that on the next day the acne is gone. I do use the mask on night time before bed, so just after a night shower, when the skin is cleaned, I applied the mask, left them on and then rinse it after 10 minutes with lukewarm water. I splash a lot of water on the face to loosen the mask before gently massaging the skin to clean them thoroughly. I then applied skincare where then I went to bed.

This is my skin on the next day, it's clear, smooth and no more acne while the skin doesn't seems or felt dry as well. So for me, this is a good mask that works in cleaning and detoxing the skin so other products like skincare used afterwards can be taken afterwards. The overall experience in using the mask is very comfortable and pleasing. The product works and perform well, I do noticed the clear skin afterwards and on the oily t zone has become soft and away from excess oils.

The packaging is like most of shu's collection from the makeup area, black with details in white. Simple, sophisticated and with class. 


The products comes in a tube, easy to be disperse and everything made in Japan (which means in fully function).

The cream is ivory color and like most of the products that are similar, a silicon like formula that hides pores and made the skin appear flawless and poreless.

Easy to be used and blended on the skin, it settles quite fast , so don't wait around and work it out on the skin as soon as you get them out from the tube. You may apply the product all over your face or only on several areas where the pores are the most visible. It created that velvety and powdery finish so the skin not just look smoother but felt smoother too.

On me, it also hides redness and mild imperfection, as seen on the image below, the after skin become fairer, less blotchy and like having a dust of loose powder.

I want to test the ability of the base by not applying any foundation afterwards, just powder makeup. Followed with the colors and they do last for 5-6 hours before the sebum and sweats starts to melt them up, I can prolonged the staying power by adding some dusting powder every 3-4 hours.

Above is when the makeup is still fresh and below after around 4 hours later.

As seen, the base is quite good, it made my skin appear flawless with minimal makeup. I don't have to use a liquid foundation, just a BB Powder and loose powder after the Smooth Out and the base is pretty much done. No one can tell that I'm not piling on makeup base.

3 Concept Eyes Pore Silky Balm

So basically, the product itself is a base to be used before applying makeup. The base that provide a smoother finish for the makeup by covering large pores, so there's minimal 'bumps' or 'holes' need to be covered. The result should be a unified skin with minimal pores appearance and visible on the surface.

Pore Silky Balm comes in a black rounded container with spatula and sponge provided. The balm is a white soft-velvety like and yes, silicone is involved. But usually with other brand, this kind of product suitable to be used only as a base before liquid makeup, Pore Silky Balm by 3 Concept Eyes are made for before and after makeup application, as in for touch ups.

This is the products and like said on the instruction, used the product little by little and I find the rubbery sponge to be much helpful.

The result is a smoother skin, minimal pores and reduce the redness as well. The skin feels powdery soft and applying makeup right after also become easier and less hassle. I can use liquid or powder foundation afterwards, it really doesn't matter, no noodling found here.

And they hide fine lines too ^__^

The product alone is perfect for a non makeup makeup look. Apply the Pore Silky Balm, followed by powder or a light liquid foundation, then loose powder. For a maximum coverage, apply the Pore Silky Balm, followed by liquid foundation or cream foundation, concealer, loose powder and then compact powder. You may decrease the products used by deciding on the coverage and your skin condition. Just remember to use skincare before the Pore Silky Balm and let the skincare sips for 15 minutes as well.

For me this is another great product from 3 Concept Eyes that gives result, but I think the price itself could be lower, there are other brands that offer similar result but comes with friendlier cost.
