Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst

Hello lovelies,

I'm back with another mask for dry skin as I love these kind of masks, they are a sleep-in kinda mask where you can simply close your eyes and doze off without the need to rinse off or taking it off.

It's Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst, sold in a package of three for every skin condition, and yes, Origins understand how one skin can change like climate. The concerns during humidity, dry seasons, or hormonal issues.

-*-

I've known Origins since around 2009 and been loving it ever since. They are definitely not in the budget friendly category, more like luxury items but for me, they worth the price. The ingredients, quality and effectiveness is well known.

I can go on and on about Origins and I remember that the first products that I used is from their mega mushroom collection.

This is my first time trying their mask, a highly rated mask that cost around 25$, not cheap for sure, but I love it!!! Let's see why.

-*-

As these are the trios, the one I'm reviewing now is the one in the green tube. So, if you have problematic skin, stay tube as I definitely will make reviews for clean and clear skin out of trouble.

-*-

Put dry skin to bed with this ultra-rich, hydrating overnight mask. Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oils deeply and instantly quench compromised moisture reserves and help build a reservoir for tomorrow. While Japanese Seaweed helps repair skin's barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature aging. Skin awakens comfortable, refreshed, supple.

Deeply and instantly quenches skin's compromised moisture reserves and builds a reservoir for tomorrow.
How to use:
1. Use your favorite cleanser.

-*-

After reading the details, wow, it seems like the ingredients are top notch. It helps slowing down aging and I want to wake up where my skin looks refreshed, supple and moist.

-*-

The yellowish rich cream feels light and the smell, of it is so good, reminds me a lot of one of Kiehl's product that use Apricot Kernel Oils as well. A sweet nutty fruity notes that boost my mood as well. Somehow, it smells fun.

Below, is the texture of the product and I'm often using it like a night cream, so it is not really as thick as mask during application but the effect is like a weekly mask. Even thou' I'm using it like twice a week since I'm addicted to the effect and smell, oh the smell is just so good, like it was freshly yums.

-*-

You might think, oh perhaps this one is only good for dry skin, in fact, once in a while we will suffer dryness, either it is conditional or something happen to our body, hence this mask will surely do to even an oily skin. Normal skin can also (for sure) enjoys and I can honestly says that sensitive skin can also enjoy the mask in peace.

Scent-wise, it was fragrant alright thanks to Apricot Kernel Oil but it's not that synthetic scent that bothering for the whole night, it will subside over time and peaceful sleep is for sure possible.

Waking up, my skin feels soft, delicate and I really like that bouncy moist effect. It equal to the price :D and the unbeatable healthy shine? Ohh, they made me look like I own this skin everyday.

-*-

Overall,
probably the best sleeping mask....ever.

Best scent, convenient without oily nor greasy nor oily feeling and unlike gel that usually kinda sticky, this one is pleasurably silky, so my pillow doesn't have to suffer. Absorbed fast too and leaves the skin with just enough moist that last until I woke up, even when I sleep sideways.

OLIVE YOUNG Butter Moisturizing Hydro Jelly Mask

Hello lovelies,

who loves pampering? Oh  I do, I really do! Like spending a relaxing time in a spa for the whole day, but in reality, who have the time and privilege to do it all the time?! We need to work and get our ass off every day to get things done. So, a little thing called face mask have been sold all over the world to cater our skin's need in the simplest and fastest way possible.

We can do it at home, inside our work cubicle, or even during a flight.

-*-

South Korea perhaps has become one of the country with the most number of masks being produce and sold every day. Like they have this bundle packs and it was really a lot. On almost every beauty store, brands, to cosmetic counters are selling masks. One of the most famous beauty store there is Olive Young. And this is one of their mask collaborating with DreamWorks.

Oh yes, a lot of their products are engaging customer by joining partners with cute objects such as LINE, Sanrio, to many other cartoon character and famous celebrities.

This is gingy by the way, a talkative ginger bread from Shrek.

-*-

I love hydro jelly mask since the texture is so irresistible even thou the 'butter' word kinda worries me, seems like it's just a referral for hydrating.

Most of the details is in Korean and I gave up searching online since I can't seem to find details in language I do understand. So this post will be solely on experience.

-*-

The packaging is thick and soft, suffice and made it seems like a good quality mask. Opening the packaging is easy since there's this zigzag pattern on each end.

Inside there's two pieces of mask, one for the upper half of the face and the other is the lower part. The color is like caramel and the smell is buttery.

The jelly mask is unique with soft and stripy surface. The cost of each mask is around 3-5$.
-*-

Each mask is protected with a clear and white plastic, open one put the mask on the skin before opening the other plastic, it helps during application so the mask stays put.

-*-

I actually forgot to take picture during mask time and made video on my instagram account @Carnellin, here's (above) after remember to put them back on for picture sake, hence apologize for the mess, it was actually a lot more neat where the masks are like film being securely covering the skin.

The mask is not really as 'wet' as most face mask, so it can dried up within 15-20 minutes. The skin feels moist afterwards and using a moisturizer afterwards helps seals the hydration inside longer.

Aside from the texture of the jelly that I like, I think the function itself is rather so so, I meant yes, there's a moisturizing effect but not really in an abundance way where the skin feels like so juicily moist.

I guess this is more like an everyday mask than an intense weekly basis pamper.

-*-

Still, it worth trying, suitable for normal skin for sure.

Cheveux Apricot Ice Tea Shampoo and Mojito Scented Hair Mask

Hello lovelies,

months ago, I went into this bazaar at one of the mall in West Jakarta. As usual, there's local brands that we can only see in Instagram. Their name is unique and the products seems fresh. Cheveux means hair in French.

-*-

Shampoo&Conditioner : Cheveux shampoo & conditioner 100% natural 100% bahan alami tanpa kimia.. 100% sulfate and parabens FREE Sulfate : detergent shampoo yg membuat akar rambut rusak Parabens : pengawet kosmetik pada shampoo umum penyebab gejala kangker..

-*-

Aside from the cool details of the products, they also come sin this lovely new scents like Apricot Ice Tea and Mojito that I bought. Still, the fact that they don't contain paraben nor sulphate, they still have silicone.

-*-

So, I kinda focusing my review for this post on the mask. I know that the mask is said can be used for the scalp but since it has silicone, I avoided using them in the scalp as silicone in the long run blocked the roots of the hair. Same goes with the shampoo, I use it on my hair and use another shampoo for the scalp.

-*-

The details on the packaging is cute, the words somehow lures me to have them everyday. And the smell, oh they really good. The Apricot Ice Tea is fresh, fruity and and tea like, so it's pretty much like an apricot ice tea, kinda sweet and fruity at the same time, I love it.

The texture of the shampoo is a creamy gel, feels soft and lathers quite well, not abundantly like detergent or a very foamy shampoo but quite nice. The clean feeling is not really felt too, perhaps due to the silicone, so it is more to the slippery side than squeaky clean. I wish the milky orange shampoo could perform better in cleaning the hair. Usually, I need to use it twice to get near the clean feeling I desire.

The scent however, smells so good and I wish it last longer too, they last around a couple of hours, not bad thou' and if I want, I can simply purchase their hair perfume to make the scent last longer.

-*-

Here are the details from the back side of the packaging of the shampoo and mask.

-*-

And here's the texture of the creamy, juicy, citrus-y mask.

The color is milky yellow and the richness can be felt the minute I looked at it. Even thou' it's rich, it's light at the same time, doesn't add weight on the hair.

Like said above, since I'm using it for the hair only, I wont review the feeling on the scalp.

-*-

The mask, again, is emphasizing on the scent rather than function on the hair. The effect is similar to using a conditioner. Made the hair softer and easier to comb with an airy feeling. Mojito itself is a drink well known for being maxed up with citrus, mint and so deliciously fresh, hence, using the same concept, the scent is like that too, I find it harder to resist.

-*-

The effect on a severely dry and damaged hair is not really significant, but in boosting my mood, they are so good. Imagine going back after a long day at work, feeling the urge to cleanse and find this in the shower room, it lifted me up.

Overall,

A good start for a good hair product, I hope they remove silicone and add more variants to their hair care collection.

Price around 85k to 150k.

5 Best Face Wash For Any Skin Type

Hello lovelies,

sorry for being mia for quite some time, it's been like a down time for me. Usually on my period somehow I'm far weaker than usual, still, without further ado, collaborating with Komunitas Beauty Blogger & Vlogger KBBV in this beautiful month of January 2018, here are some of my utmost favorite face wash and I highly recommended them as it is so versatile, any genre, gender and age may use. They may are made for certain skin type but they do works on any.

-*-

Start with Clinique Liquid Facial Soap in Mild, yes it is mild, but it made beautiful bubbles and froth that cleans the skin without causing them to dry. From sensitive, dry, normal to oily skin can enjoy the cleansing ability as it is so smooth and soft. Don't underestimate the 'mildness' as it still effective and can be use as often as you want.

I let the whole family enjoy using the product and they all do enjoy it. From the kids to my husband acne and oily prone skin.

You may read more here: http://whileyouonearth.blogspot.co.id/2015/10/clinique-liquid-facial-soap-mild.html

-*-

Next in line, is from my favorite brand too, which unfortunately not yet available in Indonesia, Neutrogena. It was made to wonder.

Read more here: http://whileyouonearth.blogspot.co.id/2016/12/neutrogen-deep-clean-hydrating.html

It is a liquid cleanser alright but made to amaze as we can use it on dry skin with makeups on, so it's like cleansing oil, but after letting the makeup melts, add some water and it turns into a face wash, just like any face wash it bubbles up and cleans thoroughly. Some even say that it is the best of both world as it cleanse like cleansing oil but with the squeaky clean feeling of a face wash.

Those who seeks for an all in one solution should try this product and it comes in 3 variants too for brightening, normal to hydrating.

The product comes in a pump bottle and clear gel, smells good and works well. But on some hard waterproof makeup, do clean them first using a real oily base makeup remover before proceeding to this product.

-*-

Back in the old days, there's this powder that turns into cleanser, it's kinda like detergent for the clothing :D Somehow reminds me of that (oops). But this thingy is for the face and it comes with enzyme hence it has to be kept in dry form.

Read it more here: http://whileyouonearth.blogspot.co.id/2016/07/covermark-clear-wash.html

When you are ready to use it, pour some powder on a clean hand and add a bit water to work it through. They'll bubbles up almost immediately and use that bubbles to clean the skin. By making them wet and foaming it up, we activate the product and it become ready to be used.

Now as the product has been activated, it will clean the skin all the way to the pores, and it felt so good. The skin feels very clean, if you're looking for a squeaky clean feeling and this is it. But afterwards they'll smooth the skin up and they wont feel dry.

What I love about the product is that they'll take the dead skin off too, it'll make the skin appear brighter in an instant as it take the dullness away.

-*-

Three Balancing Foam is probably the most exclusive of them all as it was made with special ingredients and smells so special too. Like a garden of citrus just bursting into my senses.

Read more here: http://whileyouonearth.blogspot.co.id/2015/02/three.html

The product comes in a thick white cream and as any other Japanese facial wash, it bubbles up like whipped cream at it's peak. It lathers on beautifully, so soft and irresistible. I love it so much and everyone in the family enjoying it so much too as it works really well in cleansing the skin. They are not a makeup remover but it cleanse traces of makeup remover and daily debris in an instant. A refreshing feeling is unavoidable and I believe there's many skincare benefits as well, as the price perhaps should equivalent to the effect :D

-*-

And if you're looking for a much more friendlier price, always try a drug store brand like Kracie, Naive Aloe Vera foaming facial wash that also bubbles up abundantly and creating a soft whipped cream like foam with a faint and very subtle scent.

Read more here: http://whileyouonearth.blogspot.co.id/2015/07/kracie-naive-facial-cleansing-foam-aloe.html

The cream is thick and white, kinda similar to most products that bubbles up like this, I guess Japanese people really like these kind of products that foamed up without fail, even when I turn the bowl upside down they will not fall.

There's many (like really a lot) foaming facial wash from Japan that are like this, so you can simply choose according to the budget, scent, and perhaps accessibility as they are kinda similar in terms of benefit, the fun is in the bubbles that said to clean all the way to the pores.

So there you go, from drug store to high end. From liquid to thick cream, they are all suitable for all skin type and easy to be used. We all love those bubbles in our face wash and I don't think we'll ever get over it, they are a never ending trend.
-*-

Don't forget to check out KBBV Instagram account and Rani Oktavia , she also write some of her favorites which is more suitable for those with oily skin.
Until then, see you again soon on my next post.

MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick

Hello lovelies,

these babies from MAC are my recent treasure and they are (for sure) pleasing and satisfying.

I've shared a review on the lippies before (here) and how much I love it. Now, here's another product not to be missed.

-*-

MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick and mine happens to be in NW50, a shade that is perfect as a contouring color for me.

The product comes in a crayon like container and as the auto stick easily twisted up to be used, it's a very hand tool for me.

-*-

The packaging is a bit fancy, like the rest of MAC products where the packaging is in black, this one has a bit of a sparks. The brown color on the end is the shade of the product inside.

-*-

It blends easily on the skin and stays. That's the best part, it stays.

-*-

And below is the final result of using it.

-*-

Here's one more fact that wonders me, it can be used on 'wet' and ' or dry condition, like before and after powder and they still blends well.

-*-

During 'wet' after all the liquid and before all the powders, I use beauty blender to blend the product and after powder and everything 'dry', I simply use a brush to help blending it again, and I love the final result as it definitely create a cheekbones I never had.

-*-

Thank you so much MAC Cosmetics for giving me a product that works, giving me that defined irresistible lines.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lip Color

Hello lovelies,

it's time for another liquid lipstick, and I don't think I'm done with them even thou we are in the trend of shiny, metallic and glossy. I can always go either way, from velvet, matte, dewy, super glossy to metallic and glitters. Depends on the occasion they are all good.

-*-

Here are some details from the official website:

A lip colour that provides a splash of colour in a liquid-suede finish that lingers.

For those who prefer timeless glamour to all-out flash, matte reigns supreme. M∙A∙C introduces a twist on this classic texture with robustly saturated shades of Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour. Whichever shade you choose, all promise one thing: a splash of colour in a liquid-suede finish that is impossible to forget.

Long-wearing, eight hours
Colour wears evenly and smoothly, eight hours
    Provides stay-true colour, eight hours
    Non-feathering, non-bleeding
Apply to lips using the edge of the applicator for a smooth, sharp shape. Use the tip of the applicator to perfect your application.
For a diffused look, try blending the edges of the lip with a 219 Brush before the liquid lipcolour dries.
Use over Prep & Prime Lip for ultimate comfort.
-*-

Sounds very interesting, right?! Mine happens to be Ess-presso, a deepened chocolate brown. They happen to have more than 25 shades and they all look so interestingly good. Any makeup addict would love to collect as the colors are solid.

-*-

They may look thick, rich and super creamy, but on the lips they feel so pleasantly smooth. Easy to dispense, swipe and blend, but careful, the setting time is rather fast (means good too) so when there's error, clean it fast before they set.

After set, it stays so beautifully flexible, comfortable and not drying. It stays as long as I don't eat something oily, since waterproof never means oil-proof.

-*-

And the shade? Oh clearly seen on my photos, I super duper loving it.

-*-

Verdict? Great texture, finish, solid vivid high pigment color, stays on and easy to clean with oil based cleanser. The applicator is spot on, the wand works like magic and my lips look so deliciously good, full coverage, it's the best since they are comfortable too.
