Prada Candy Florale

Hello lovelies,

Ohh, I'm so into Prada lately, their perfume that is.

They have this new series called Prada Candy, they are colorful, pretty and comes in 5 aroma. Prada Candy EDP, Prada Candy Florale (reviewed in this post), Prada Candy Kiss, Prada Candy Gloss, and Prada Candy Sugar Pop.

And I happen to have some heehee, for me even thou' they carry the same Prada Candy, they have different personalities one to another, and collectibles.

Let's discuss Florale, shall we?!

Prada’s latest fragrance evolved from the concept of an imaginary flower created especially for Candy. Of course, Candy cannot simply have any flower. Her fantasy flower must be unique, embodying her many facets: the fragrance’s light airiness puts the sparkle in her, followed by tender powdery notes that echo her Spring-like grace. A final whisper of warmth and honey reflects Candy’s rich sensuality.

Do opened their website and explore the world of Candy, a girl who goes on a quest to out of space to find that special flower.

Look at the box, it looks so girly right?! The flowery scent will definitely be something that girls love.
That flower is the white petals with black center we see on the soft pink box, it's the 'special' flower.

The container itself is fun and definitely gorgeous, need that black thingy to hold them together when carrying it during traveling. So I think, I will put it at home, I remember my last Valentina by Valentino that broke since I always carry everything inside my bag, so it's kinda like Doraemon.

The bottle would not be able to survive on certain level of weight. So do be careful.

As you can see from the image above, the stopper is on the top of the white cap. So it's pretty fragile if it's not securely put when inside a luggage.

The sprayer works just nice and sprayed an enough amount of perfume each use. It was pleasant, aromatic, lovely, beautiful, calming and fresh at the same time. I feel feminine using the Eau de Toilette, it was so good, somehow it reminds me of a jasmine tea, I don't know why, there's not even a jasmine here.

It was limoncello sorbet (top), flower of peony (heart), with benzoin, musk, caramel and honey (as a base).

What is benzoin?
Benzoin is a balsamic resin extracted from several types of stryax tree. It is often used in perfume not only for its smell but also as a fixative to increase stability and longevity. It is also widely used in the creation of incense.
Other details which I find on Sephora:

Candy declares her love for flowers. She takes on a new flirtatious game, where sensuality is pushed to the fullest. The delicately sweet smell of Candy meets a new, refined bouquet of sparkling cedrat and blooming cosmos that intermingle with her elegant softness. Candy is blossoming.

So there you go, perhaps it was a cedrat (citrus) and bouquet of cosmos which got me interested with the perfume. And the interest become even more after it settles to the middle and base note. They all smells so good and amazing, like there's no loop hole of something that will put me off. From the top to bottom is all pleasantly wonderful and stays true to it's feminine and chic components.

Since it was EDT they'll last for 3 hours max, but I love how it settles on me as it was so sublimely gorgeous even more than those mere hours.

Easily spray it on again to freshen up. Love, love, love.

The Body Shop Polynesian Island Tiare Eau De Toilette

recently, going to The Body Shop has gotten more and more interesting than ever since there's many sale and promotion going on. After all, this is a season's to be jolly.

Looking at my own personal perfume collection that might even last till 2 years, I'm still as interested as ever when finally one perfume bear the resemblance for my love to Hawaii.

I've been there once and as a perfume addict plus traveler, I always linked a scent with the place. And Hawaii smells just like this. There's flowers there that are nutty, musky, aromatic and beautiful all at once and so sensual in the most wonderful way ever, and it's called plumeria. This is not identical, just similar, in a way. It has that warmth and beautiful beach tropical island kinda scents.

The Body Shop Bristish Rose EDT

this is the newest EDT in The Body Shop world. It's a bit late for me to share the review but I still want to share as I love the scent, it has that iconic rose scent that is pleasurable.

It was made as a series. It has many items inside the series and when they are layered the power of the scent will multiply. When used alone, it was pretty faint and only last on me for around 2-3 hours max. The bottle is simple and the details on the bottle is provided just as it is.

The scent reminds me a lot of a classic rose scent. Definitely suitable for rose lover and to be used with the rest of the range for a all around rosy experience.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cucumber

Hello everyone,

Elizabeth Arden has a lot of new fragrance and I don't think they'll stop anytime soon.

With their existing iconic series from the Red Door and especially Green Tea alone, the variant is more than most brand would have.

The Red Door just launch a new variant called Always Red.

Always Red has that Red Door feature bottle but in slightly different shade. Darker and black on the top for an ombre finish. The scent for me is a bit more serious compared to Red Door.

During the event, Elizabeth Arden Indonesia also introduces me to their new product in the skincare line. A product that has been gaining a heaps of attention here and there and where most skincare brands developed. It's like a primer to a serum, a 'thing' that become a booster for a serum, made to be used just before serum to increase the efficacy, which serum? Any serum!

The product comes in this milky gel texture, very easy to be taken by the skin and it's is made for any serum (even for the non Elizabeth Arden).

And of course, the perfume, the one why this post is made, Green Tea Cucumber, the one that I fell in love immediately due to it's freshness and apparently it's because there's watermelon inside (no wonder).

There's Sunflower Morning Gardens too that smell lighter than Sunflower original, yes, I'm a huge fan of fragrance from Elizabeth Arden and has been using her brand since 20 years ago. Sunflower and Red Door are my two favorite fragrance when I was still in school.

Well, I'm not here to compare them, but to share my thoughts on La Vie De Boheme, inspired by a girl in a hippie spirit, free and adventurous. Full with dreams and romanticism. Love everything surrounding her and blooming with flowers and the love to everything that's beautiful in live.

After a shower and getting ready, I sprayed some on me as a finishing touch, as a scent that lingers on me the whole day that carries me to my dreams and achievements.

Everything is carefully made in the Anna Sui world, even the box comes with Anna Sui Color Palette and Bohemian art.

Made by the perfumer, Philippe Romano, DROM. 

At first, we can smell the amazing Turkish Rose and Sparkling Pear, settled a bit to a Burgundy Berries and Dragonfruit. Surely but sure Peony comes along, followed by the flowers mixed with woody scent of sheer musks, black vanilla, sandalwood for that fun but mysterious.

What do I personally thinks of the perfume?

it's like a dream, filled with sweetness and unique scents from the roses and berries and woods, it's like nature and art combine, alongside with freedom, delicateness and charm at the same time. Yes, it is in fact a charming perfume.

Looking at the bottle, the shapes, the curves and design, the color of the liquid, the cap, I pretty much understand the correlation between the scent and everything that comes with it. If it's made for a girly girl, then the color should come in a pink colored liquid, but it's purple, it add more dimension and sophistication. If it comes in a clear liquid, then it is more to the mature or classic and formal. If it's yellow it is usually adapt fun or even serious.

So it's in a rose pattern bottle, with golden cap, comes with a clear purple liquid, it is bohemian at its true form. Liberating, not ordinary, unique, yet still feminine, beautiful, and of course dynamically modern.

Last weekend BBMM and Sogen Asia has a wonderful event at Playroom, Pantai Indah Kapuk. We are there to celebrate, understand and learn more about fragrance and the beauty of So...? Fragrance and Parfums Love.

In front pf our VIP room there's a London bus waiting for us to take pictures with. Yes, So...? Fragrance and Parfums Love are from London. They look so festive in red, right?! The bus and the phone booth are like a match made in UK >.~

And on the other side? Wait, what do we have here? Bloggers! Yes, they are busy taking pictures with the props and products given by the team.

Inside the bloggers are ready to hear more about fragrance. They seem excited and did you noticed they are wearing pink, red, and purple?! That's the dress code for the event.

In the event, there's competition for best dress, best makeup, best photo, best tweets, best instagram updates, heehee. We love competitions and giving out prizes to those who come to our event, next time, don't missed it, okay.

Their products has more variety in London, so apparently, after doing some research, Sogen Asia has decided that there products that they selected are the ones that suits Indonesian people the most. So, when you probably travel to other countries and see So..? Fragrance and Parfums Love in different variant and item, you wont be surprised.

And psssttt!! They also told us that the price sold in Indonesia may be cheaper from other countries, city like Bali has the highest number of sales since tourist find them cheaper than the one sold at their own.

Right after the session with Sogen Asia, there's Q&As, and of course, we do give out some gifts for the those who ask as well.

Some of the questions are about the ingredients, which Ms. Oppi could not deliberate but assured us that it is safe. Product range and why not all of them are available in Indonesia, and yes, the answer is to suits Indonesian market where most of us are more interested in body mist instead of EDP, hence EDP from Parfums Love and So...? Fragrance are not available.

Soon after, it's a workshop with Firmenich.

In this session is Mr. Luc Barriet and Ms. Marina.

In this interesting workshop, bloggers get to know more about base note, top and middle notes. We also get to sniff a few of the scents usually used in a perfume.

There are a lot of fun facts, including, these ingredients are gathered from around the world. Nose or a perfumer must be able to tell hundreds or thousands of different scents and able to tell the differences in each scent and where is it came from. A great nose also able to tell the time and how those ingredients are gathered. Like, rose in a summer and picked at dawn from Bulgaria.

The bloggers are enthusiasts to hear and learn more about perfumer, scents and how it made into a perfume. We also love the guessing game. Turns out that it is not easy to tell all of them.

The scent last for around 2-3 hours with delicate ends. It started as fruity and in the midst of floral, but the one that definitely become the highlight is the juicy berries and apple. Suitable for those who are fun and lovingly cheerful.

So...? Brit, the attitude can be noticed instantly, different, unique and unlike others.

It is full of love. The flowers are fresh and reminds me of wild flowers, later on the crisp scent will settled with powdery and a hint of vanilla after a splash of amber and cranberry.

The body mist only last for an hour or so, and you can easily use it again and again to boost the freshness.

For those who are looking for a light scent, this would be a perfect addition to your dresser. And you can choose the ones that interest you.
