Nature Republic Real Nature Rose Mask Sheet

another mask from Nature Republic not to be missed. They have tons of masks, seems like almost all Korean products have a lot of masks. The recent gossip where people put a video footage of a reputable 'L' brand making it's mask unhygienic-ally has reach the surface, hopefully Nature Republic is a safe one.

Many ingredients such as cucumber, green tea, orange and many many more like this Rose are available at their shop made it so difficult for use to choose just one. I choose the rose since it looks pretty :D and rose itself is famous for many beauty properties for the skin from calming to revitalizing.

Rose extracts moisturize and revitalize skin. HOW TO USE: 1. After washing the face, apply toner to prepare the skin for the next step of skin care. 2. Open the pouch, pull out the mask, and place on the face, using the eye area to align correctly. 3. Remove after 10-20 minutes and gently pat for better absorption. CAUTIONS: For external use only.  Avoid contact with eyes.  Discontinue use if signs of irritation or rashes appear.  Keep out of reach of children.

In Korea a bundle pack of ten is sold (during sale) the same price as in one in Indonesia, imagine how cheap they are, and they often have sales, promotion and bonus gifts too, I miss Korea, shopping beauty products there is like having a galore with kilos candies (those candy store sold in kilos) heehee.

It's pretty easy using the mask, just clean the skin, use some toner or facial mist/spray and put it on. The size somewhat fits most face. The white sheet mask will turn into transparent on the skin and the scent of Rose is noticeable from the minute I opened the packaging. There's a lot of liquid on the mask and inside the wrapper, so for sure, within 20 minutes or so, the mask wont dry out, just keep adding the liquid or use the liquid later on like serum.

After 30 minutes, I put the mask off and massage the skin a bit by adding an emulsion to the wet skin. After that, adding a moisturizer and I love how my skin glows in moisture. The skin feels so comfortable, it is ready for the day. When the skin is prep like this, makeup would stick and last better too.

When the temperature is hot outside, cool this masks inside the fridge for at least 1 hour, use it on a cleaned skin and feel the immediate cooling effects and shrink the pores at once. Summer never felt better thanks to this tips.

Nature Republic O2 Bubble Mask Sheet

this is one of the most unique mask I've tried before and I like it. O2 bubble masks usually comes in a pump gel form, this one is in mask sheet. Either way I find them both have their owns benefit. While the pump gel is abundant and we can simply use it anywhere, the mask sheet is simpler for one usage.

Wash-off bubble mask sheet removes impurities from pores and refreshes the skin as abundant fine oxygen bubbles are generated

HOW TO USE:

1.  Before opening the pouch, rub the pouch well to evenly mix the content.

2.  After washing the face, evenly attach the sheet on the dry face while aligning it with the location of the nose and mouth.

3.  After 5-10 minutes when the bubbles are fully generated, remove the sheet.

4.  Gently massage the skin with the remaining bubbles and wash off with lukewarm water

*A little itchy or burning feeling during use is a natural occurrence as bubbles are generated.  If the burning sensation continues, discontinue use and wash off with lukewarm water.

The packaging is like any other mask in terms of size and outer look, but the prints on the packaging looks funny, like bubbles all around and this is actually a literal speak as we will feel like we are using bubbles as mask.

The rest of the packaging in front is black and some details on it, it looks promising. I looked for a clean feeling and a clean pores, oh that would be good, like once in a while, we all want that super detoxing experience where the clean feels super clean and like it breath fresh air once again. So when I applied skincare, they'll absorb easier.

To make sure the mask works well, I cleaned my skin from makeup and use a bit of facial spritz after cleansing, tear the packaging and pull it out. I noticed that there's some leftovers in the wrap, and they are already start bubbling by itself the moment I tear it open.

Immediately I put it on my face, so I wont loose a moment of bubbles.

Within seconds, look at all those bubbles, they are abundant and works it's magic. I don't feel any discomforts, more like pure pleasure, like my face just went in a whirlpool of jet bubbles that calms, cleans, and help micro-circulation.

After 5-10 minutes the bubbles are maximize, it become so full, thick and covered my skin with the bubbles and it's not just from the outer side, inner side too. So it works both ways.

Look at my skin beneath the mask, tiny bubbles are popping, there's this sizzles sounds like when an effervescent  tablets inside a glass of water.

I take off the mask from my skin and squeeze the bubbles from the mask, it is still a lot, and the bubbles is perfect. They are so light, fully fluffed and made by order. It's a perfect specimen how a cleansing bubbles should be.

The skin already have tons of bubbles from the mask and now, I add some more from the leftovers.

They feel so comfortable, super tiny, and feels like they deep clean my pores since they goes into it and removes impurities.

After the experience (rinse everything off), my skin feels so soft, freshly clean and still so much comfortable, this is a really good experience for me, for sure, I'll keep using it and continue trying more O2 bubbles masks in many different forms and brands too.

Nature Republic Super Aqua Max

I'm back with more moisturizers that you could ever digest :D I'm a huge fan of this moisturizer and this is my second purchase. The first one I own is the pink one for dry skin, this version, the cyan shade is for normal combination skin.

The product comes in a heavy glass like jar, clear with colored inner side so it looks like water or thermal water, an illusion of ice also and gives us a glimpse of what's inside, a skin hydrator.

Twist the lid open and there's a lid that covers the surface made out of white plastic, just open it and behold, the gel with the same tone as the container, beautiful gel that seems so cooling and moisturizing the skin.

A spatula is provided for hygienic purpose.

Aside from the texture, the aroma of the moisturizer is so fragrant, reminds me of Biotherm but that one is on way different class (a higher one haha!). My husband always says my face is scented everytime I'm using this one. It's not realistic to someone face to smell this good, like I'm using perfume on my face, however, I'm enjoying, the scent is not something that bothering me, perhaps since I like the refreshing aqua scent. If it's a perfume, the name could be Aquatic Blue or Sprites of the Ocean heehee.

Now the performance, does it work like a charm on my dry skin, it does! No complains from my cheeks whatsoever, they feel comfortable whenever I'm using it. I know my skin need hydration and I'm glad now many brands and products has comes up with the specification I need, hopefully many products in Indonesia will also comes to this idea where water based or perhaps mostly water based moisturizers emerges.

Nature Republic Shea Butter Ultra Steam Cream

Moisturizer is one of my must have thing in terms of caring for my skin. I can't never go without one since my skin is so dry, and I think I feel naked and vulnerable without one. Some people doesn't really like moisturizer due to the texture, mostly the heavy and perhaps sticky one, well, I guess those people wont really like this product. Nature Republic Shea Butter Ultra Steam Cream may not be sticky, but definitely not in the light category.

Starting around early 30's my skin definitely need something more than a watery or gel like moisturizer that usually made for normal skin type. Creams is all after, start from something that gel cream to now, pure cream as my skin is dry and I need moisture to kept them young and happy. Didi you know that the moist-er the skin is the better they'll look in the short to long term. Those who uses moisturizer on daily basis can keep their skin looking fresh even thou the skin has start degrading...ehm aging.

The product comes in this white tub, pretty normal for a cream moisturizer, white, thick and satisfying.

The cream is like reading my mind, it melts on the skin and easy to be spread on moist skin. Always use moisturizer after cleansing, toning/softening, and for me, serums. So the skin is still damp, dab the moisturizer on several places as you please and gently massage the skin for a better absorption.

They might look thick and heavy at first, but upon the touch of my skin (which is perhaps warm) the moisturizer turns into slippery and light. The product hydrates and gives my skin an instant bouncy effect since it's filled with moisten agents.

The scent is similar to most products containing Shea Butter and since the main ingredients is clearly shea butter and water, the smell of the product is of course, shea butter.

Does it really last 48 hours? On my dreaded dry skin, not really, more like 24-36 hours, and mostly I have to took a shower twice a day and for sure by that time I cleaned everything and use all the skincare all over again, including this one. One time I was sick, hence I'm not really taking twice showers per day, so this one is finally took my test and the moist effect last 24-36 hours where then I have to clean and re-apply. I never re-apply any skincare on a dirty skin, always cleans them first.

Overall,

a great moisturizer for dry skin or very dry skin. It made them feels comfortable once again, like they were once flexible but since they are dry they are not happy and felt like being pulled here and there. Using the moisturizer made them supple, hence relaxed and contented. The key in using a heavy thick creams is always put it on a damp to even wet skin, face mist or brumisateur also can help. The product have a subtle soft scent which I think calming and perfect for this kind of moisturizer, like something that you're expecting when using a Shea Butter cream, and the thing about steam cream is they are this multi usage creams made for just about any part of the body. So I can use it for my elbows, knees, or neck and decollete. Just any part that is dry and needy.

Recommended? Yes! For dry skin owner.

Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Moisture Watery Cream

those who suffer from dry skin like me must have try many brands that helps dealing with the problem. I was always looking for that perfect texture and feeling on the skin and one that doesn't sting.

Some brand claims that when it does sting, it must be working, but I don't really like that sting feeling on my dry skin. Like putting salt on a wound.

Getting one from Althea, this Super Aqua Max from Nature Republic seems promising. It has the color of coral, it's like the 'it' color of 2015, so pretty and adorable at the same time.

Here's what it's look like. Ohhh, it's calling me by the name. So juicy, fresh, succulent and beautiful at the same time. It had me by hello.

I was of course a bit speculate at first, like would it be too oily, is it made for Korean skin and their dry climate, would I drench in grease?? All of them soon to be answered.

I'm using it for the first time during night. After cleaning the skin, I put on some lotion/toner, serum and then this moisturizer. The aroma is wonderful, dreamy, floral and soft at the same time. And the texture is rich and compelling. When first applied, they feel so silky smooth and filmy, like covering the skin like mask. I thought they will stay like that, like a sleeping mask where I have to keep facing upwards during sleep, but before I know it, around 30 minutes or so, my skin finish drank all those wonderful cream and feels comfortable. It does a bit like sleeping mask but better.

It doesn't leaves any residue on the skin like most 'gel' does, the skin takes everything and feels soft, supple and definitely moist afterwards. I sleep around 8 hours and waking up feeling good about my skin. Bouncy and hydrated. And here's one more good news, I can use it during day time too, it is so comfortable anytime, day or night, or both.

So far, suitable to be used with any other products I have, serums, toner, and other skincare routine like for the eyes.

The product also blends well with liquid makeup used afterwards, creating that soft finish base that made my dry skin appeared healthy with a lovely hints of glow.

Astaxanthin Power Moisture Fixer

on the previous post I've reviewed the series of Astaxanthin from the toner, essence, emulsion and cream (read: HERE). Now, as mentioned in that previous post, there's one more item that I really want to try, the Moisture Fixer.

Somehow I'm not that confident in using it as a primer, but still I'll do that ^__^ and share you some thoughts, however, the main attraction would be Moisture Fixer as a Sleeping Mask.

Look at that! Isn't it beautiful? An amber gel form which resemble an almost set jell-o and all it's glory. I do play with it for a while and until you actually look at it and personally scoop it out and yes, play with the product, where then you'll see exactly what I meant.

When scoop out in a quick way, it will act like an agar, but when gently pour down, it will slowly melts and drips like honey.

It is the most interesting texture. I wonder how they made it like that and why and all the history behind the making. I hope someday all my questions are answered. For now, I'm just enjoying the product ^__^

I put it on a cleaned skin and let them do it's magic. Again, when gently put on the gel will slowly melts and able to be distributed well on the skin. I think if it used as a primer after a cream, I have to melt them well at my palms before touching the facial skin.

This is me after 30 minutes using Moisture Fixer.

At first, the gel feels cool where then there's this warm sensation. I let the whole family to try on this mask, my mom, dad, hubby and sister. We all experience the exact same thing when all our skin type is differ by far. The skin gets rejuvenating effect waking up in the morning. I don't experience abundant moisture but perhaps when used with the whole series the moisture will stay intact inside the film it created.

Overall,

By using the moisture fixer alone the skin get a warm feeling, the smell is light and a bit citrus zing at the end, the lovely texture is fun to put on the skin and application also easy once the gel is melted. I did massage it a bit before leaving it on around 30 minutes or so before bedtime so it wont stick anywhere else but my face.

The sleeping mask gives the skin a bouncy and firming effect (yes, all of us experience that as well), which means this is the perfect item for aging skin in terms of sagging. The rejuvenating effect also so lovely like the skin somehow become younger and healthier overnight.

In terms of being a primer, the honey golden gel helps a sticky foundation become looser blends everything before setting it finely. Wait for the skin become touch-ably dry before adding some powder.

Nature Republic Astaxanthin Power Series

I'm here with a series from Nature Republic called Astaxanthin, fiuh! That's a hard name.

Anyway, in this post I will share a review of using the products I have from the Astaxanthin series. The product which is made for around 30's and above.

I feel really tempted after reading the details about the products and how cool they are as they added the elasticity back to the skin and those anti-oxidant as I'm really concerned due to the high pollution in Jakarta. The coenzyme Q10, vitamin C and arbutin, the ingredients that a skin need to get fairer and younger is there. Let's see how my skin goes after using the products for almost 2 weeks.

A heavy glass bottle with bright orange look, quite heavy, and I love the cap details, like a leave. Almost all Nature Republic items have that same design for the lid.

Start with the toner, a clear orange fluid, smells like orange too, fruity and fresh. The toner is a delight to the skin as well, Easy to use. I damped the cotton with it right after cleansing and feel the skin responding by getting softer and ready for the next step, the essence.

The Essence is delightful as well, gooey and orange. Smell like marmalade with the texture like simple syrup. Gentle on the skin and easy to be absorbed. The skin instantly grab the moisture and become hydrated. I love to use it day and night.

Next is the emulsion, a creamy texture in a heavy glass bottle, I wish they come in a pump shaped, since it is a bit tricky to jotted them out. Smells like a fresh peeled orange, not as light as the essence, but still feel easy on the skin. Help the skin to retain the moisture and stay plump longer.

Last on this series is the cream, a super duper rich cream which I think is my least favorite product here. Why? The texture is so creamy and feels thick on the skin. I use it on night time only since on day time feels sticky.

The smell of the cream is like a orange milk, pleasant and nice. On the damped skin the cream will easily glide, so I always make sure the skin is in their wettest possible heehee.

Here is the result after using Astaxanthin for around 2 weeks. The skin does become plump and hydrated but on a few areas such as under the nose (above the lips) some acne are spotted, not much, just 1-2, but I think that's due to the rich formula. But overall the series does provide me some benefits such as:
More hydrated skin
Plumped skin which means less fine lines
Fairer skin
Healthy glow
and
Fresher look.

Whitening Collagen Dream 70 Eye Cream

I'm back with more love to the eyes ^0^

In finding an eye care, usually I become more selective and careful since it will be applied around the eyes and as a contact lenses user I avoided thick texture and those that easily glide into the eyes and cause blurry, or worse, irritation.

A lot of eye cream on the market are too oily and can cause some oily bumps under the eye that caused by eye cream. These bumps are known as milia. Please do avoid the eye cream that's too dense, too rich, and hardly absorbed. The skin under the eye are different from the rest of the face, it is thinner, so it need special attention too and special care as well.

This is one of the product for the eye that I recently used which give the enough nutrition without being too heavy nor greasy.

This eye cream contains 70% marine collagen and vitamin C to boost elasticity and whitening. This eye cream contains nano liposome, which is derived from marine collagen. It gets deep under your skin to enhance your skin's elasticity. It also contains Vitamin C to give you a brighter and clearer skin tone. It improves the appearance of deep wrinkles that have been caused by aging, which appear around the sensitive areas of your eyes. It strengthens the elasticity and firmness of your skin. It brightens the dark circles under your eyes to give you a more youthful and radiant look.

How to use:

Before applying moisturizer, apply a small amount and pat gently around the eyes and allowing it to absorb to your skin.

The cream actually look like a gel when looked closely, a bit transparent, light and cooling too. Very delicate, soft and smells good. Soft flowery scent. I used around a rice size cream with my ring fingers and easily swipe them before tapping on the lower and upper area of my eyes. And sometimes uses it on my lips too when night times.

So far since I don't have dark eye circles so I could not comment about the whitening effect but I like how it gently hydrate the skin around the eyes while giving them a firming touch. I use it regularly for better result (day and night).

Snail Therapy 50 BB Cream SPF30 PA+++

Snails products are everywhere nowadays and it seems to be a hit in the town. Snails are known to have a regenerating effect on their ehm, slime.

This BB Cream contains 50% snail secretion filtrate (mucin) that keeps the skin moist and firm by forming a protective film over the skin. It makes the skin healthy and radiant. The massage function of an all in one puff improves your skin's complexion and makes your skin look radiant. Its excellent adherence and coverage function keep your makeup for long hours.

How To Use:

1) To create natural, radiant skin: Open by pulling the cap off, and hold the puff facing downward. Gently press the middle of the container, and dispnece a small amount onto the puff. Apply evently to your face in a massaging motion.

2) To create flawless, transparent skin: Turn the cap until the pointed part appears. Gently press the middle of the container, and dispense a small amount and apply evenly on your face.

On the packaging there's two puff provided, one attached and the other one still in the plastic shown above. Clean the puff after each use with lukewarm water.

I like the packaging, the large tube is big alright, but I don't have to bring it everywhere since the staying power is moderately long, I use it for 5-6 hours and it stays on. I think it can stay on longer too. The multifunction cream that gives coverage and sun protection in the same time is always welcome in my makeup box. I use it daily (daytime). I didn't feel it being oily and let's just say the BB Cream pampers my skin while giving it a nice look too ^__^

Remember that this not that raw material secretive from the snail, so do not jump into your garden and apply the liquid coming out from a snail when you see one. The mucin in the product are already going through some process for hygienic reason and efficacy. So only the important ingredients in the mucin are used.

Below is me using the Snail Therapy 50 BB Cream SPF30 PA+++ with the puff (as I think the attached puff is a unique and wonderful idea)





The BB Cream is light, covers and feels really good. I was pretty afraid at first and heehee it's a secretive from a snail, I'm thinking some gooey....slimy.... errr, just not pretty. Let's just say I'm hesitated at first but the minute it touches my skin, all the hesitation and doubtfulness just melt away. The after image is just me the BB Cream, it felt velvety smooth and any powder haven't been added. Definitely gives me an even skin tone, redness and fine lines are gone and dryness? Unlike other BB cream, the Snail Therapy gives the skin a comfort without drying the skin.

Below is my step by step usage.

The puff started as a light cream colored, then when the BB Cream is out a deeper beige lotion cum cream comes out, I dabbed it on and the puff works so well, the spreading, applying, blending process becomes so easy and for a clean-freak-enthusiast like me, it's the perfect tool to minimize fingers intervention. there are some parts that need small brush or sponge with edges for areas hidden by the sides of the nose and delicates like eye's area.

Overall, it's a must try snail-inspired-contained product where safety and effectiveness shown ^0^ Love it!

Tips: For daily use or a natural look, just add some loose powder on top, no need adding more foundation. Always use a moisturizer before BB Cream (any BB Cream) and if you want some concealer may be added on some part before the BB Cream, it is also possible.
