Kocostar Therapy Series

Hello lovelies,

a while ago I share several posts for Kocostar regarding their slice fruits and flower masks. They are cute, adorable and comes in irresistible variants.

-*-

Aside from those colorful masks, Kocostar also launches several other masks made for therapy, they called it therapy series. I have one for the hands, one for the nails and one for the hair.

-*-

They are all easy to be used, perfect for those relaxing time at home, or perhaps for the nail and hand, you can use it while sitting in a car or plane during traveling.

-*-

Details are given in English on each of the container.

For the hair mask, just apply the mask using the cap on a clean hair, right after shampoo and towel dry.

For the hand and the one for the nails, just put them on while they are dry and clean.

All of these masks are made to be sit for around 15-20 minutes.

-*-

A nourishing and soothing hair treatment that hydrates and rejuvenates dry and damaged hair.
Professional salon steam technology creates soft & silky locks in 15 - 20 minutes.
• hypo-allergenic •

Aqua/Water/Eau, stearyl alcohol, amodimethicone, behentrimonium chloride, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, mineral oil/Huileminérale, dimethicone, methyl gluceth-20, dipropylene glycol, cetrimonium chloride, polysorbate 80, isopropyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, trideceth-10, panthenol, citric acid, hydroxyethylcellulose, vanillyl butyl ether, disodium edta, fragrance (parfum), Hydrolyzed Keratin, Butylene Glycol, PortulacaOleracea Extract, HamamelisVirginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, LavandulaAngustifolia (Lavender) Water, Laminaria Japonica Extract, LavandulaAngustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Thymus Serpillum Extract, SesamumIndicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

  1. After shampoo, dry hair slightly
  2. Wear the hair cap and put all hair inside
  3. Fasten the cap with sticker and massage gently to absorb rich nutrition into your hair
  4. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse the hair thoroughly
  5. Try not to apply on scalp
  6. Best results when used weekly

-*-

The product comes inside this cap we can simply use on the head. The creamy formula are there. They smell flowery and soft.

When using the cap, it was pretty much warm and I can't use it longer than 25 minutes, I just feel uncomfortable using it for a long period, like it was too stuffy.

-*-

The orange cap is light but perhaps since it was filled with mask (not really abundantly, suffice and cover the hair just fine) and plastic, I feel like my head can't breathe. I don't know how that made sense, but it did.

Anyway, After 20 minutes I'm taking it off and feel the air is so cool.

-*-

I rinse it off with a tepid water and feel my hair become so soft. So does the floor in my bathroom, everything feels so slippery.

I can easily comb them and enjoy my hair being tame again. No dryness felt nor looking coarse, like they are normal again.

And as usual, these kind of result is not permanent, I have to regularly mask my hair to maintain it's condition. So my hair can look like hair again and shine.

-*-

An intense, soothing treatment of botanicals and vitamins to protect and repair stressed nails while strengthening nails against splitting and peeling.

Aqua/ Water/Eau, Glycerin, Paraffinumliquidum, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Polysorbate 60, Behenyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Betaine, ButyrospermumParkii (Shea Butter), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Silk, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cera alba, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, 1.2-Hexanediol, Propanediol, CaprylylGlycol, IlliciumVerum(Anise)Fruit Extract, Soluble Collagen, AscorbylTetraisopalmitate, Ceramide 3, Milk Protein Extract, PortulacaOleraceaExtract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Oil, Citrus AurantiumSinensis (Orange) Fiber, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit, Citrus Grandis(Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Disodium EDTA

  1. Peel open each pack and put on mask on each finger
  2. Leave on for 30 minutes to 1 hour
  3. Massage remaining liquid from mask in the fingernail area onto fingernails and fingertips after removing mask from each finger
  4. Use as needed

-*-

Next in line, is their nail pack. This is unique. Most products comes in a form of a tube, cuticle formula or well, hand cream. This one is in packs where each finger gets it's own home.

Inside the white lotion is waiting, to soften and made them feel comfortable.

-*-

15-20 minutes while watching TV fly by. Since I can't use them with my smartphone hence watching TV is my only option.

This is a unique experience for sure. The lemon citrus aroma is fresh and the lotion made the nails looks shiny too. I hope it nourish my nails as I color them often.

-*-

When I took it off, there's still some lotion left and I just distribute it evenly and wait for another 10 minutes or rinse it since I kinda need my fingers. Even after rinsing, the nails and fingers which are previously inside those pack still feel so soft and smooth. The aroma is definitely gone after rinsing but the effect is still there for the whole day.

-*-

Continue with a Hand Therapy Pack. Like it's name, it was made for the hand and yes, a glove is definitely included. The hair has it's cap, the nails has their own individual packs, and for sure, the hands also has theirs.

-*-

Open it up and inside the gloves are the lotion as well. Just put the hands and fingers on every section correctly and voila, wait for 20 minutes and enjoy the delightful scent. This one is pretty fragrant.

-*-

And yes, I can't play with my smartphone when using the gloves. TV is a good option or take a nap. Waking up, open the gloves, and there's still some white lotions lefts on the skin like the image below.

-*-

Simply massage the leftovers or rinse it when you need a squeaky clean hands like I do. The skin will remain soft and smooth even after rinsing and this treatment is suitable to be repeated once a week for hands that always soft and smooth.

-*-

Thank you Kocostar Indonesia for the lovely products that care for my hair, hand and nails too.

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream

Hi everybody,

hand and nail cream is not something that I use on daily basis, in fact, I rarely using it, perhaps during traveling is more needed, especially on a dry and cold climate when the skin become very dry and the nails are brittle.

Due to the constant use of warm water and soap, the hand and nails can be pretty weak and dryness as well. On the other hand, I dislike the use of any cream since it is usually sticky or greasy. So I prefer use them on the back of my hands only. Like applying a tiny dot on the back of my hand and rub them together.

I do notices that most hand creams are available at the doctor's office, since they have to wash their hands between each patient and that would make their hands very dry, a cream is much needed. The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream is one of the cream that gives the skin a silky finish with little greasy effect.

-*-

Product description
This effective daily hand cream cares for nails as well as hands and contains two manicurist’s essentials: sweet almond oil and panthenol.
  • Moisturizing
  • Conditions nails
  • Sweet almond scent
-*-

The scent of the almond is faint and not really there to be sniff after 30 minutes is up.

The cream does gives comfort to the dry skin and shine to the nails and not really felt slippery but on my constantly wet palms, they do become slippery. So most of the time, I'm using it for my elbows and knees. The product also a good substitute for my body lotion  :D

Perfectil

Hello lovelies,

I'm back with Perfectil and ready to give you a review.

After consuming Perfectil each a day after a meal to make sure a full tummy (not after a snack or something light) little by little I see differences.

It's not something major since I do take care myself pretty well from the outside, like skincare, using the right shampoo, conditioner mask, lotions and even put on some nail oils, but I still do see significant results upon using Perfectil.

-*-

My hair feel and appear stronger. It's not as thick and luscious plus as much volume as I want it too, but they do appear stronger. When I have my hair done at the salon a few days ago, after the process, the hair doesn't dries out easily as before and even the stylist says my hair is weak. I still can't bleach it yet, but there's improvements on the condition.

For my nails, I'm happy to say that, the breakage is reduced. The last breakage is around 2 weeks ago when it is usually once a week. And the skin, hmm, I never have a problem with this area, perhaps a bit dry from time to time and it still is, but I do see radiance on my skin becomes better.

One thing that I like to add, my lashes. They appear darker and seems fuller. I'm not talking about my upper last which has been added with extension but the lower ones, the one that less than the upper.

The research does recommend taking the supplements for 3 months or so to see a more significant result.

-*-

Thank you Vitabiotics.

Perfectil is available at local pharmacy and drugstore such as Guardian.

Argan Oil by Green Esthetics

Hello lovelies,

as a beauty enthusiast, you've probably used or at least heard about Argan Oil. For the past few years, Argan Oil is known as liquid gold. A precious oil that has many benefits on our skin (face and body) hair and even nails too.

Around a month ago Green Esthetics offer me some of their products to be reviewed, one of the product is Argan Oil.

-*-

Benefits for skin:
Reduces wrinkles and lines by stimulating skin cell renewal, increases skin hydration and elasticity, and combats free radicals. Also used to treat burns, acne and to reduce scaring and stretch marks.
Benefits for hair:
Hydrates hair adding shine and reducing frizziness and split ends. Also contains antioxidants to repair the hair and scalp on a cellular level and reduce dandruff.
Benefits for Finger Nails and Cuticles:
Fortifies fingernails making them stronger while softening the cuticles giving a radiant look. The argan oil treatment for your nails is easy. Simply dip your fingertips in a solution of 50% argan oil and 50% lemon juice.

-*-

They shipped the oils directly from Morocco, at their website, you could see they are 'collecting' certificates from ecocert, Bio cert, GMO free, animal cruelty free, USDA Organic, and Natural Ingredients Pledge.

Everything seems so good but one thing that always made the difference is, is it effective? That's the only question that would decide a customer into purchasing or not.

I'm not impress with the packaging and the design,  I think it could be better, much better.

The container itself works just fine and the pump works well, the oil comes out beautifully and hmm, I can't seem to find the ingredients list here and there.

-*-

I've tried many argan oils in the market, I'm not an expert but I know that it has been used in many ways, from body lotion, body creme, as a shampoo, hair serum, hair mask, and this is the first time I received an argan oil for top to toe. Usually, it's already mixed inside a product as mentioned.

Argan Oil from Green Esthetics is fragrant, perhaps it is mixed with fragrance, since I can't find the ingredients list, I can confirmed.

On the nails, it help them shines and appear stronger, since I do occasionally have chipped nails, I think I have to keep on using it for a longer period of time to see the results.

Beside the nails, I've used it on my hair and it has to be really in small amount, like 2-3 drops for my medium length hair. More than that, it feels too oily, I find it best as a pre-shampoo treatment. Massage the scalp and hair with around 4 full pumps of Argan Oil. Leave them around 30 minutes - 1 hour or as long as you can stand them being greasy. And then wash the hair with shampoo, rinse well, add 2-3 drops of Argan Oil onto your favorite conditioner and put them on the mid length of your hair all the way to the ends. Leave them around 5 minutes and rinse everything off.

Dry and style as usual and I'm noticing my hair shines even better and without the greasy residue.

-*-

I didn't use it on my face since I can't really tolerate oily matters on the skin. Jakarta itself already very humid and I always prefer a water based skincare for the face. If I had to, an emulsion where water become mixed with oils is the maximum level of thickness I can take, moisturizing creams also feels too much.

Still, I can use it as a mask, mixed around 2 pumps with 2 spoon of honey, applied on a cleaned skin and let it rest for around 10-15 minutes, rinse and cleaned well the skin will appear more hydrated, healthy and have that radiant glow.

On the body, I'm mixing it with my body lotion, during each application I add 1 pump to the 1 dose of lotion I'm using, and it is only for night time since it become too oily during the day. Perhaps if I live in a dryer climate the Argan Oil would be more usable on daily basis. When used at night time, the oil will stay on the skin for 8 hours and waking up with a softer and supple skin. It feels good, like I just put on a sleeping mask on my body.

Thank you so much Green Esthetics.

Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil

Hello nail lovers,

how are you?

Who hate a broken nail? I do, I really do, broken, chipped off, jaggy ends, etc, they really bugged me. If it happens on a long nails, I can just cut it off or use a nail file to tidy them up, but when it happens to a short nails, ouch, the cut may be went too deep and into the flesh under the nails. I dislike the feeling of a too-shorted nails. The skin underneath feels so sensitive.

This is one of the product made by Sally Hansen to help strengthen the nails and nourish the cuticles, it is called Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil.

-*-

Details from www.sallyhansen.com:

Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil

Helps strengthen & nourish nail & cuticles
  • Get soft, healthy looking cuticles & smoother nails
  • Absorbs quickly into nails and cuticles to deeply hydrate
An intensely moisturizing Vitamin E oil that softens cuticles and cares for dry, brittle nails. Natural Essential Oil Complex with Vitamin E, Wheat Germ, Apricot Kernel, Aloe & Panthenol moisturizes & conditions cuticles while increasing nail flexibility. Salon tested. Dermatologist tested.

-*-

Here it is a clear oil that contain a lot of nourishment for the nail and cuticle surrounding the nail. Please do read the instruction on how to use the product at the back of the packaging.

-*-

Use it nightly, massage in, leave it overnight and rinse it before using a nail color. Or if you are not using any nail color, just leave it as long as possible. One thing that caught my attention is the 4000 I.U of Vit E to help the nails getting stronger.

-*-

Of course, this is not a magic cure, use it regularly and as a routine activity to build the strength, for normal nail condition, it can be used as a booster, while for those with weak nails may use it as a treatment. The weaker the nails the longer it need to recover. The whole bottle last for months when used for all 20 nails (finger and toes).

-*-

This is how it looks like on the nails, oily and glistening. They oils doesn't last long on the nails and cuticles once I touch the bed for that 'overnight' treatment, since I moved around much. So I tend to leave it around 10-15 minutes while gently rubbed in after application for better penetration, before bed time.

The oils helps the nails to be stronger and the cuticles to stay moist, which is a good thing for those suffering from extreme dryness where the cuticles easily cut or peeled off (ouch).

Hmm, the product still contain paraben, so in terms of safety, I think it is best to used it as needed, maybe when the nails are already in healthy state, no need to use the product as a long term treatment.

Thank you Sally Hansen Indonesia.

Sally Hansen Miracle Cure

Hello gorgeous!!

How are you today? I hope these gloominess wont bring yourself down, let's focus on the cool breeze Jakarta lack of during normal days. I know there's flood everywhere, I hope none of you are affected and please do stay safe.

Right now I want to share another product from Sally Hansen collection that gives the nails a stronger effect around 50% in 3 days, wow! That's quick.

-*-

Here's the details from www.sallyhansen.com:

50% Stronger Nails in 3 Days! Exclusive Micro-Mineral Formula fills in cracks to instantly strengthen and reinforce nails. Instantly stops peeling, seals the nail plate and bonds layers together. Strong moisture magnets target severe dryness with intensive moisture. Natural Proteins and powerful Anti-Oxidants penetrate the nail to help strengthen nails from within.
-*-

The packaging looks festive, I love the blue and gold.

-*-

It is a very easy to use product, just applied them on clean nails, so remove all those polish, colors and debris. Applied the Cure as needed and the effect is on the nails felt almost instantly. The look is like after using a base, only lighter.

There's a minor peels on the nails due to regular nail coloring and it does looks better within days.

-*-

So far this is the best nail strengthener I've used,
1. For instant result and fast drying properties
2. For the result like base coat
3. Gives fast remedies for weaken nails and protect the outer layer for the weeks to come.
4. Can be easily reapply after 3-4 weeks or when needed.
5. Effective for both finger and toe nails.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat

Hi all,

This is one of my favorite product from Sally Hansen, Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat. Why? It has the ability to gives the surface of the nail polish dries so much faster. Not entirely harden and set but the surface is dry enough to the touch and do gentle movement.

-*-

Details from www.sallyhansen.com:

  • Double UV filters shield manicure from fading and discoloring.
  • Helps resist chipping.
  • Salon Tested - Dermatologist Tested.

Keeps manicures beautiful up to 10 days! Exclusive Acrylic Polymer Complex helps get you out of the door in a flash — just 30 seconds to set! High-gloss superior shine.

-*-

Not all nail polish ready for the touch within 30 seconds - 1 minutes, most of them can bear the mildest touch after 3 minutes or so and set within an hour. With Insta-Dri the nail polish dry faster as the surface set faster as well. It added the shine and strength to the nail polish as well. 7 days no chip resistant is proven for me.

The product also helps the nail polish to stay brilliant in terms of color and I can top it off again when I see signs of fading shine (due to the hard core mama's job in the kitchen).

I've tried it with many other nail colors from different brand and type, so far so good. The product can be used with just about any nail polish on the market.

Thank you Sally Hansen.

Sally Hansen Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover

Hello lovelies,

I'm back with another Sally Hansen product, this one is Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover. Apparently they have several other nail polish remover according to the nail's need, from the Kwik Off to strengthening and extra strength.

-*-

Details from www. sallyhansen.com:

Removes polish and moisturizes dry, brittle nails. Enriched formula with essential nutrients helps promote strong, healthy-looking nails and cuticles with every use. A special blend of Vitamins and Aloe Vera replaces moisture in dry, damaged nails.
-*-

The moisturizing is perfect for dry and damaged nails so the formula seems to be softer or gentler than the normal one, I found them to be a bit more difficult in cleaning a nail polish than the other range, is it just me? Or perhaps I's using a hard-to-clean nail polish. I've tried using another product and it perform better than the Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover from Sally Hansen.

I guess it is back to one's need, if you happen to have dry and brittle nails and normal or conventional or ehm cheaper nail polish making your nails worst, this item will be a great solution. It's not that it wasn't able to clean the nail polish, but when other brand need 1-2 swipes, with Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover needs 3-4 swipes to make them really clean (or more if the nail polish is tough). With the benefit of a moisturized nails than before.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails

Hi everyone!!

After kept on trying different nail colors and stay colored for months, my nails need some rest. The yellowness need to get some sunshine to get back in normal color. The strength and vitality also need to be restored. Hard As Nails is a product I need at the moment.

The product can be use alone or as base coat.

-*-

The look and appearance on the nails are almost like any base coat, but lighter and they do help the nails gain strength and normal color in a matter of days. I love how my nails changed so fast. I don't have to wait for a full week. Now, around 5 days after application the nails look lovely and healthy again.

-*-

(details from www.sallyhansen.com)
No more chipping, cracking, nor splitting. Today is the 6th day and the shines are still there and the nails are getting stronger and stronger by the day. This is a great way to let the nails 'rest' without compromising on the look.

Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat

Hello girls!

Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat is here. The product has been a long time favorite for it's many function, here are the details from www.sallyhansen.com:

All-in-one patented strengthening base and top coat works double time...for double protection. As a base coat, Double Duty moisturizes and hydrates nails with Panthenol. As a top coat, Double Duty protects with Nylon.

I've used it many times and it coated the nails and then gives the colors some added shine and perfection so it'll last longer on the nails. I even use it to prolonged it's life, so when the shine seems 'reducing' from the polish, I re-apply Double Duty for a somewhat-like-new again looking nails.

-*-

It's a simple, can't go wrong product from Sally Hansen that gives the nails protection (since 'care' is their main idea), shines and stronger nails at once.

Tips from me: If you're really into nails, please do let your nails 'rest' once in a while (like a week of every month) so the nails has time to breathe and get some sun shine too.
