Pop Colors For a Runway

Hello ladies!!!

Nowadays Pop Colors and Runway looks are everywhere, they are fresh, delightful and fun! The Jakarta Fashion Week is just around the corner and after finally found a time to do a makeup for my sister (since my pregnant skin is sensitive), here it is, my version of a Pop colors for a runway.

(So sorry, later on when my skin is less cranky, I'll make one on my face)

-*-

Here are the brushes used for the look and below is the step by step on how I made this look possible.

-*-

First, of course, start with a clean face and a good base. Using Maybelline for her oily combination skin is perfect. The BB Stick stays on her perfectly without fail, Clear Smooth is added for a sheer coverage just to add a bit of mattefying effect on the skin and made the skin feels velvety.

Then, I tidied up her brow using Panasonic without changing her brow at all (she loves her brow so much) since I also a fan of a thick brow. For me a bushy brow is ALWAYS in trend. Emphasizing on the colors of the look, especially the eyes, thanks to Maybelline Color Tattoo the shades are just irresistible. Using the Teal as the base and Gold on the upper side is appealing for that lights on runways. I'm using Color Crush on the lower lid in Grape Expectation.

Next, is the eyeliner, Maybelline Master Liner only on the upper lid and ooohhh I love the lashes done by Maybelline in Long Extreme Double Stretch, the number 1 gives extra length and volume (white creamy texture) while number 2 is the black mascara. Coating the extended lashes in black gel and like making them look real.

Moving from the eyes is her cheek, since we are blessed with chubby cheek a shading is needed, instead of using shading and highlighter plus bronzer separately, the all in one product from The Body Shop is perfect. Giving her cheek bone in an instant.

Adding a bit of blush on her upper cheek by using The Body Shop All in One Cheek Color in Ginger is perfect so the attention is still to the eyes, Last, the lips, a healthy dose of Fruity Jelly by Maybelline in Berry Bella for a high shine lips without any bold color.

Easy peasy isn's it?!

These are all the products used for the look ^__^

End of Year Party Look for IBB MUC Dec 2012

Hi everyone!

Indonesian Beauty Blogger is back with a makeup challenge \^0^/ and this December (2012) the theme is End of Year Party Look

Prices for this month will be from NYX

These are some of the stuffs I used for transforming my sister heehee, yes, my sister will be my model once again.

Thank you my dear sister ^^

First, on a cleaned moisturized skin, I applied a concealer (Shiseido) on the area affected with acne marks, redness and uneven skin tone, including the bags under the eyes. Followed by foundation from Shiseido to even out all the skin tones and set the base with loose powder from Coverderm.

The concealer is a bit darker than her original skin tone so I applied as if it was shading as well to enhance her cheek bones.

As for Coverderm Finishing Powder, the fine particles easily blend and create a natural matte finish look. May be applied right after foundation or at the end of the overall makeup to 'set' everything's up.

As usual after the base, I always more to the eye's zone, start with the brows. As she like her natural brow, trimming with a tool from Panasonic is my answer. Then draw a bit lines using Revlon and brushes the brow with mascara from Lancome.

But I recommend a tidier brow for a more 'Party Look'. For me the brow could make a big difference in one's look.

Next, is the liner. I'm trying this stickers for eyeliner, just open the packaging and stick them on the lids. Of course it's a bit tricky especially when ones doesn't have an even eyelids, like my sister, her right eyes appears bigger than the left thanks to the uneven lids.

A scotch tape may be applied before the eyeliners stickers so the eyes become even, then after sticking the stickers, use a liquid eyeliner with the same color as the stickers.

I've used Shiseido, a creamy eyeliner to help even out the sticker, there's a tiny bling on the edges of the stickers. Next time, I'll choose a bigger one.

This time, I want the eyes to be sharp and let the eyeliners get a spotlight, so no eye shadows are used.

Followed by Benefit's Duster as a highlighter only on the nose line.

A bronzer by The Body Shop and blush on by Anna Sui for her cheeks area, one for the cheek bone, and one to add a touch of rose so she wont look pale and dull.

Last? A lips sticker!

I'm so excited about this next item as it can create a difficult look which will be super duper tough using a normal lipstick and brush.

Hello! Noticed me?!

Get her hair done. attached a bling on her forehead, use a very sparkly outfit and my sister is ready for an End of Year Party!!!

Panasonic Wet/Dry Epilator ES2058

Say ouch!

I was really drawn for an epilator since waxing for me took time, effort and well money. So lazy to go to the waxing place but hate shaving since it will darken the area and the hairs are so fast to regrow. So I decided to buy an epilator.

Reading so many reviews I've decided to try myself one. I bought a wet and dry epilator that easy to clean and simple to use......if you can bear the pain.

Feels like those area are electrified I even have a bit of cold sweats, but not on all areas thou'. When plucking those hairs from my legs is a pretty much a breeze compared to armpit hairs. It was painful. But I bear with it remembering I paid 99$ (-20$ since it was on sale) and I don't want to waste my purchased good.

I will try on my bikini lines and do another review. But seriously? So far so bad :(

Conclusion:
It work! Despite other review that says Epilator does not work, mine did, it even do a great job, my skin are free from hair, it does took time but it pretty fast. 1 armpit took like less than 15 minutes, including brushing the hairs away and clean the tools. It does depends on how thick yours is, but mine is considered normal......not thin.

For the pain, my suggestion, have a warm bath/shower before epilating (is it even a word?). Use shaving gel/foam or normal soaps so the skin stays moist. Last but not least you can take a local anesthetic cream on the area before the process.

And take a deeeeeepppp long breath, cause it will be long after you're done for you to remember to breathe.

After effect: Some dots of bloods are seen, not many, about 3-4 dots per armpits. I use Betadine, and if you happen to have those afterwax/shave cream to reduce redness and avoid infection, ingrown, discomfort, etc use it!

And........ now (like a day after the post above), I've done my bikini line. It was as painful as armpit hair, especially when they are thick. Cut the long hairs for like below 1cm, so when the epilator pluck the hairs it wouldn't get stuck due to the length. But again, the area become smooth and clean afterward, unlike shaving which still have bumpiness and sharps hair emerging from below.

I will keep on using my epilator until it was said to help reduce the growth, I haven't get to that stage yet, when hair become thinner due to multiple plucking but I hope someday.........soon.

Big TIPS!!!!

I'm so happy when I discovered this method, I've done this before and I don't know why, I completely forgot about it until now. Do you know about those creams that able to remove hair like Veet or Nair (not making an ad here). I used them and let them rest accordingly (to the instruction of each brand) and try using their spatula (which for me rarely work), after cleaning the cream with the spatula (perhaps some hair do taken off easily and most don't) then rinse with water until feels clean, while the root still weak I use the epilator and it reduce the pain by far.

I feel like I've conquered something here and hope it help you all. My sis hated the pain and it gives her so much fear just hearing the epilator turned on, now? She is happy with the result AND the process. No one should endure such pain anymore.

Watch-out!  The cream 'numbness' can only be felt in minutes, so don't wait too long.

Downside: Those who have skin sensitivity and/or allergy to the hair removal cream can't use this method.
