Lash in Bloom Multi Lash Extention by Browhaus

yesterday I went to Browhaus again, and this time it's in Plaza Senayan. The place is tugged beneath Metro Dept Store, just one level below the ground, so do take escalator down and you can find Browhaus right at the end of the corner.

One of Browhaus famous service for the lashes is called Lash in Bloom, there's several type from single to multi, the recent one is called Multi Lash Extension which is the one I'm trying right now.

Lash In Bloom is a lash extension service by BROWHAUS that gives you beautiful lashes that frame your eyes to make them appear larger and darker. It is a quick and effective way to emphasise your eyes, giving you a groomed and polished appearance.

Soon, my session begin. Start by cleaning the area, oh there are some tips before coming to the appointment:

Arrive with clean, bare eyelashes without any make-up, including mascara. Eyelashes should not be permed or curled. If you have an eye infection or have recently undergone eye surgery or lasik, we recommend a minimum rest period of 2 months after your procedure before proceeding with Lash In Bloom.

On average, Lash In Bloom can last between 3 and 6 weeks depending on the growth rate of your natural eyelashes. The duration differs with every individual. We advise reapplying a new set of eyelash extensions after 4 to 6 weeks. We also advise that you let their lashes rest for a couple of weeks in between the removal and application of a new set of lashes.

After care.
You do not have to apply eye make-up but if you wish to, only apply water-based mascara for easy removal. Do avoid using oil-based make-up removers directly on the lashes as oil may dissolve or weaken the adhesive bond. Use lint-free cotton/cotton pads to remove make-up from around your eye area. Do not use cotton balls or swabs directly on your lashes as the fibers may get entangled with your lash extensions

The process is pretty much comfortable and quick, prepare yourself for a nap. Eat around 1-2 hours before, go to the toilet and empty your bladder or any other restroom business, drink properly, wear comfortable shoes and clothes, then, just sleep heehee. Waking up to a new set of gorgeous lashes.

I know since that's what I do, it was enjoyable. And it is better to just sleep then keep on waiting on full alert, aside from that the therapist could have done a better job is you stay till, she can concentrate and work faster. 2 hours is the time that was stated in the website, but varies from people to people, still Browhaus have a good standard in timing and try to be precise.

I don't really have long and bushy lashes, so the length suggested was number 11 and I choose the C curl, so it was still natural. You can always prefer a more natural look or dramatic. The curl can goes all the way to D and the length to 13.

No redness, no irritation, no discomfort, I love my eyes, they appear more alive now heehee. And of course, there's no trip to Browhaus without getting my eyebrow fixed, it's like the best place for my brows. This time I choose the threading, it was faster and gets all those tiny new born and soft hair lifted up.

For a cry baby like me whose tears went down the minute a tweezers plucked a hair, threading is the best option. It was super fast, like perhaps 5-7 minutes and I have my eyebrows ready for the day.

Just look at the difference it made. The eyebrows and eyelashes are definitely the key to an uplifting look. My eyes appear more alive, expressive, and definitely prettier heehee. I can understand why so many people pays a lot of attention to their eyes and eyebrow since it made a lot of differences in one's look.

It is recommended not to let the freshly made lashes meet the water for the first 24 hours. Always gently brush the lashes using a lash brush to maintain the shape. Keep them clean by avoid using heavy eye makeup and never tug, rub, nor pull them. Hygiene is always best to be kept for the overall health, keep your hands clean before touching the area.

One tips from me, do use water based cleanser for the eyes, like micellar water. Use damped cotton bud (after lightly dipped) in micellar water, to clean sensitive areas.

The glue is pretty strong, I will keep everyone updated on my instagram account @Carnellin whether the lashes last for 3-4 weeks or not or maybe more.

Strip and Browhaus at Lippo Puri Mall

It's another good news, hehe, New Year's Eve has to be filled with tons of information like these, right?!

Strip and Browhaus is opening their new branch at Lippo Puri Mall in West Jakarta. Hooray!! Finally, a really good place to was and have my brows done in my favorite place. So far, I haven't meet any other place that offer a better service and quality compared to Strip and Browhaus.

Their standard of hygienic is so far above other places, from the disposable gloves for each customer, spatula, and no double dipping, with clean room, towels, and other disposable things like cotton bud, pad and many other things. So you really know what you're paying for and get so much more with the staffs friendly attitude.

The location of the salon is tucked behind restaurants, arrays of Suan Thai, Carl's Jr, Sukiya, etc. Go walk into the corner before the parking lot. It's a new mall in West Jakarta and it still pretty vacant, fans of Strip and Browhaus will enjoy it more here since it is less crowded than other branch where you really have to queue and make prior appointment before each visit. Still,  everyday, there will be customers here, after all, it's Strip and browhaus.

Why do I came here? They have new services and products too. A semi permanent eye liner, which I haven't tried and they keep adding new current items to be enjoyed by customer too in the wax department. Do you remember my excitement around a year ago sharing about their liquid wax that become hard and doesn't need any paper to pull it off? It comes in chocolate and strawberry and I swear it was the best wax for Brazilian? Now, adding the lemon and cucumber.

Lemon helps brighten and cucumber is moisturizing.

After a short wait (around 3 minutes) I was escorted to my room, they are seating for eyebrows, comfortable chairs and enough for around 4 people at once.

As I went into my room, waxes are available for my delights. All in their heating container and all smells so good. There are exactly as their variant, the chocolate smells like delicious milky chocolate, the lemon are as fresh as your dishwasher liquid, the cucumber are delightful and the melon is sweet. Melon? Yes, a new one as well shown below, in red clear liquid, to be used for wide areas such as leg and still need a sheet to pull everything off.

Below is cucumber, the one that I choose or advice to as well as it is moisturizing since my Brazilian area is rather dry.

The wax for my Brazilian and navel area are done around 15 minutes, they are consistent in making every treatment 15 minutes flat and the staff are fully aware of the pain level so they keep it to minimum. I've tried many places for waxing and they are by far, still the best one in terms of cleanliness, service and pain level.

I am someone who can't tolerate pain, at almost any level, and if I can bear this one, everyone can.

Since my areas are sensitives, here are the preview on my legs and how the waxes are. They are all started as liquid, warm and cozy. Within seconds, they'll become hard and gripping the hairs only and not our skin. So when pulled, it is only the hair was being lifted off. Same goes with the lemon, it is as milky and rubbery as the cucumber once dried and the application process itself is the same.

It's just the scent and the function slightly different. Aside from those, the texture and ability is simply the same.

Last but not least, the melon. It's a clear red wax that smells fruitilicious like melon do.

And since it was made for areas such as leg, body, arms, etc, and need to be pulled off using a piece of clothe.

Soon after that, I'm done in the waxing business and make my way to the brows area to get my brows done.

It's been a while since my last visit here and in this holiday season I finally have time to take care myself ehm brows.

Within 5-7 minutes, my brows are done. They are plucked so fast using a tweezers by the therapist and drawn again using a powder brow available at browhaus. I love how clean it look now and as usual, just like the wax, I was advice to avoid peeling products, scrubs, hot/warm water, excessive exercise and overexposure of the sun.

Browhaus Express Lash in Bloom Update

Hello everyone,

this is an update post regarding my Express Lash in Bloom experience.

It made a big differences, huh?!

After around 5 days the lashes start to crumble, a few parts even went away on its separate path.

It may fall off with a bunch of them or just a few lashes. It really is depends on how you treat yours daily. I manage to keep it away from water as long as I can, at least like suggested by Browhaus, the first days. And I do not use any cleansing oil nor any other form of cleanser that contains oils. I even avoid oil based skincare around the eyes.

I already do the free touch up provided by Browhaus on Sunday (exactly 7 days after they are attached). The procedure is a breeze and a bit faster. Please do watch the video below first, where the lashes starts to witter.

You can see that the first few falls wont be much of a problem since there are still so many lashes around, still Browhaus recommend a touch up to help the lashes stays on longer.

Neat right?! After the touch up I also do the suggested as before, no water for the first days, no cleansing oil until now and be gentle on those lashes. This include when I'm wearing my glasses, I can't use it properly, there has to be a distance since the lashes are so long.

When taking a shower, I can't wash my face like normally do, I use Bioderma Sensibio H20 with cotton pads every time. When waking up in the morning, I always touches my eyes, as to clean it up, I have to be really careful not to accidentally pulls it off. Last but not least, when using contact lenses, I have to gently press the lashes near the roots to keep my eyes open during placing and taking off.

Regarding the weight, it's like using fake lashes. Is it worth all the trouble? For me, YES! It help me heaps. Putting on fake lashes can be bothersome at times when I'm busy and tons of things need to be done, these babies already attached makes makeup way easier, and when going out, just put on some base makeup, do the brows, blush on and lippie. Eyeliner and eyeshadow doesn't event needed. The eyes already getting enough attention alright.

Express Lash in Bloom: Cluster Extentions, at Browhaus (Senayan City)

I just got back from Browhaus at Senayan City. Yes, I want to make this experience fresh, so fresh that I still remember every little details.

First, why? Why do I make this post or do the lash extension process? None other than there's so many eyelash extension on the rise as we speaks. Many has done it at local salons or beauty clinics. Some has their woes of the lashes are falling off as fast as the next day to those who feel discomfort during the process.

To enlighten all of that, I think for me personally, it is best to go to the expert, a place where I always feel safe and secure. They are so far the expert in the brow business, waxing (with Strip Ministry) and lashes too. With full safety and quality in one hand, all of their procedure and products are carefully chosen and delivered to the customers in the so far the best manners possible.

Consultation is always put upfront, even when you're about to do the service they will advice all the pros and cons before hand. When I'm going to do the procedure, looking at my slightly red eye, the staff ask me to wait, but since the redness only cause by sleep deprive, I'm moving on.

For the Lash in Bloom, there are several types, the one that is really famous is the extending from the natural lashes. So it's the same like hair extension, where in here, they only adding the hair on the strong ones.

How are the lash extensions applied?

What is the difference between our Lash In Bloom treatments and traditional lash extensions at other salons?

The main differences lie in our new adhesive formula, our lash quality and application technique. Traditional lash extensions are usually bonded with an adhesive that can harm your eyes. These extensions will also cause fuming that will in turn irritate your eyes, especially when they come in contact with water.

Our new glue is an odourless, non-stinging adhesive that is strong yet comfortable and safe for your eyes and lashes. Our lashes are also extremely lightweight and will not cause your natural lashes to fall off prematurely.

Should I add mascara, or any other kinds of eye make-up to my lash extensions?

It is not necessary. Lash in Bloom naturally darkens your lashes and lash line. If desired, you may apply eye shadow or other types of eye make-up for your preferred enhancement. Use a water based eye makeup remover when removing eye makeup.

Can I use eyelash curlers on my lash extensions?

We do not recommend the use of mechanical eyelash curlers on your lash extensions as the curlers might have a damaging effect on them.

How do I prevent my natural lashes from falling out?

Do not tug or rub your lashes. We also do not recommend wearing it longer than the stipulated period of 2 to 4 weeks. Application of a lash nourishing serum is highly recommended after removal of the lash extension to ensure healthy lashes.

Lash in Bloom Aftercare Tips

• Avoid getting your lashes wet within the first 24 hours. Allow the adhesive some time to dry thoroughly. A light bath or shower is advisable.
• Avoid hot steam from the shower and sauna as well as swimming pools and tanning salons for the first 48 hours.
• Avoid splashing water directly onto your face. Cleanse your face with a facial sponge or cloth instead. This is to prevent the lashes from getting entangled.
• Avoid the use of all oil-based products and make-up removers on or near your lashes. Oil may dissolve or weaken the adhesive bond. Use only water-based make-up removers if necessary.
• Avoid rubbing your eyes constantly after the treatment. Gently pat and cleanse your eye area in outwards motion.
• Use lint free cloth/cotton pads to remove make-up from around your eye area. Do not use cotton balls or swabs directly on your lashes as the fibers may get entangled with your lash extensions.

Like on the title, I'm choosing Express Lash in Bloom: Cluster Extensions. The result is dramatic, like using a falsies, this is what I want, something that beyond natural. And for me, I think this is the right choice as well, as the extensions are not from the lashes but attached to the lids.

The difference between Lash in Bloom and Express Lash in Bloom is the end result, the process is a bit the same, sticking the hairs to add lashes. Express Lash in Bloom adding volume and extensions in clusters by placing them in between lashes, while Lash in Bloom is like the description above by Browhaus, adding the length of hair by sticking extension on the existing lashes. So the Lash in Bloom is more suitable for those who have strong existing lashes, so the strands become longer and the lashes looks more obvious but still natural.

According to the team at Browhaus Senayan City, usually, Express Lash in Bloom stays on longer compared to Lash in Bloom, and I also avoid the risk of my lashes, if it's not strong enough, they could fall off. Again, this is the importance of having a consultation before the procedure, so Browhaus can suggest which one suits you best.

After choosing Express Lash in Bloom, they ask me about the length, offered medium by Ms. Diana (my therapist) I opt for the longest ^___^

Before continuing with the process, she reminds me about the after care, which is the same as Lash in Bloom.

Actually, I really want to make a live video during application and the whole time I'm in the Browhaus, but due to some sensitive issues, I can't. The products and everything used is discreet, but they assured me everything is on and by Browhaus products and standards.

Put on a very comfy chairs, the ones that everyone sits during brow's sessions, I lay down the whole 60 minutes, I doze off in a matter of minutes. The procedure is comfortable, fast, I do feel a bit tweak and pulled on some parts of the lids, but it is completely painless. I do feel some itchiness on a few areas on the lids when the clusters is stick, but goes away in a matter of a minute or two.

Overall, I feel it as a breeze, from the beginning where Ms.Diana cleans the area and put some white stickers on my lower lids to put every lashes on to waking me up, it's like hello, waking up with a full lashes like using falsies. At first, it is a bit sticky when I just opened my eyes (yup, during the whole process we can't go anywhere and we can't open our eyes), but Ms. Diana do her magic and everything become comfortable, as comfortable as using my own falsies. But this time, I don't have to put it off at the end of the day. I just let it stays on me.

What do you think of the before and after?! Looks really different isn't it?! It's kinda the point of being dramatic ^__^

Like using a full falsie, the vision also a bit like using a personal umbrella on each side of the eye, there's definitely an added weight, but I get used to it since it's literally like using falsies, only a bit lighter than my usual's, perhaps because it is attached to the lids.

Definitely feels safe and secure since all the material used is safe for the eyes, since I know there are salons that uses ingredients or glue that can harm the eyes.

Browhaus also provide a free tune up, from tomorrow until the 7th day. I'm going back for tune up and I'll make more post or perhaps a mini vlog, where I'm just showing off the lashes after a week being applied and after tuning up.

Get Waxed at Strip and Have A Brow With Browhaus

Okay, first thing first, don't you think that this is the best ad you've seen? Chocolate or Strawberry Super Wax, what are those? You'll see them in a moment.

Now here it is, about some time ago I went in to Strip at Senayan City and meet Mrs. Elly, a beautiful lady that owns the place. And we have a very nice chat regarding Strip and Browhaus. For Browhaus, I think nowadays it's quite common and can be found in many salon in Jakarta or surroundings, but the one that really create a beautiful suitable design for you, is their main purpose.

Browhaus Reception - Senayan City

Linked with Browhaus is Strip, the Ministry of Waxing. I still vividly remember like 5 or 6 years ago I was going here and there looking for a place in Jakarta that do Brazilian Wax, a full wax for our private area. None are willing to do so nor even heard that kind of services. So when I moved to Singapore I was so happy to see Brazilian Wax was flourished there. Nearly every mall have one (or 5 sometime). But I'm puzzled with choices, which of them is the best one. I do my math (counting prices) and observed each location.

Browhaus Room - Senayan City

So I've tried Strip at Raffles City, I still remember going there, I feel kinda scared, for the pain, and imagining all the things gone wrong. I went for XX Strip for full bikini line, it was a breeze. I remember how quick and almost painless it was, the staff also nice but not overly sweet, she do her job well without a fuss and made me feel comfortable. I remember the word 'breath' on the wall in front of me.

After that experience, I went to other places for Brazilian Wax thinking it would be the same. Price wise, Strip do cost more (but not the most expensive), some do priced cheaper, but later I found out it came with other things as well, called pain and super pain.

Strip Reception - Pondok Indah Mal 2

In Singapore alone, I've had Brazilian Wax in a place that quite famous (if I say it out loud here, you'd surely recognized) for the term of pain for a full Brazilian Wax was about 6 out of 10. 10 as in giving birth. So I guess the word bearable was true and I thought if I do it in Strip it would be the same (remembering I only done a XX there before).

That's why I settled with 6/10. Then I moved back to Indonesia last year and try other places that have Brazilian Wax, claiming they done this for years and fully qualified to do the job, with constant training and QC. The pain was 9/10. I swear to my self NOT to do anymore Brazilian Wax in Indonesia. Until I found Strip.

 Today I was scheduled to do a Brow Construction and an All Off Brazilian Wax. First, Brow Construction, the picture above is me with the therapist. She is pretty and her brow is perfect.

This is me, before. My brow are a mess haha!

Frankly speaking, I was ready for the pain, but she didn't give me any. She is really quick, it's like crazy fast keep plucking my brow according to what we're agree on. Oh yes, we did consult each other on the suitable shape for me. She finished one brow for a mere 5 minutes, and she is so humble saying it was 10, really, it was 5 minutes from the first pluck to the last.

Then after 10 minutes, both brows are done. I love love love love love, have I say it clearly? I love it! She made an arch which lifted up the whole face and it looks natural on me. The best part of all is how fast it is, some customer do their brow during a fraction of their lunch hour and it cost around Rp.100.000, affordable have a new meaning, and it says awesome!

Then, I moved to a closed room, comfy bed and clean environment, Strip is well known for their high standard of hygiene and in Indonesia, the rule stays the same. And I've got to admit, now as I will take the full all off on Brazilian Wax my fear came back, will it be so painful like the last time?

But before that, I try on the IPL for my armpits. The area is cleaned, shaved the applied by cool gel. Then the IPL is done within a second, since I only want to review the pain, it was really painless. There are some very tiny pinch felt, but it's really far from the word pain, it's just a sensation. The therapist told me that usually a pain (heat pain) can be felt if the (level of) strength of the laser is too much. Some customer want an express result and 'force' the therapist kinda over the limitation of her condition. so my advice, to listen to your therapist, they are likely to know their stuff well.

I wont do a review for a full IPL service since it will be useless, a person's hormone, condition and hair follicle is really varied. Some took 6-7 treatments and they are hair free for more than a year, while other need less or more.

Now, we moved on to the Brazilian Wax. A full all off.

I prepared myself for the worse, after cleaning the area, I lay down and the therapist asked me if I was interested in the add ons, which is several shapes we can choose, triangle, rectangle or heart shape. I opted for all out, which means no shape. What's on my mind? I think I need to review how does it feel for when everything is waxed in Strip. Please do thank me, it does crossed my mind, does a beauty blogger really need to go through all this for a review? Sometime it does.

I'm using a Chocolate Hard Wax, which smells and look like chocolate. But I can't show you any picture regarding the process wink wink, so I just show you what it's look like. Here, the pretty cutey strawberry show us how. They are both hard wax (Chocolate and Strawberry), and work kinda the same. But the Chocolate works better for the area down there.

Above is the picture of the hard wax being scooped. It was kinda hot and drip easily, so the therapist need to keep on spinning it, wait to cool a bit before applying to our skin. She always made sure which heat level we can stand. No need to worry about getting burned.

The when applied, I found as always this part as a real treat before the pulling begin. And I noticed she didn't put any paper, cloth or anything to pull the wax with.

It was a peel off wax!

The wax was easily peeled of from my skin, but stays strong holding each hair, I was amused and relieved all at once. Each pull was completely just the hair. My skin stays undisturbed, therefor the pain is far less than any other places I've been. It was 2 out of 10. Yes, some places you can still feel pain, but count to three and all the pain are gone. It was not just bearable, it was a truly liberating experience. My fear of Brazilian Wax is all gone thanks to Strip! They are the best in the best in the business and I highly recommend getting your wax done at Strip and Strip only.

The result is a clean smooth skin with no irritation. There are a very little bit of left over (like 1%) and easily plucked with a tweezers by the therapist.

On the walls there are some words by celebrities whose a fan of Strip, heehee, I made my comment there.

This is me with my therapist from Strip, frankly speaking, my smile is REAL, I was happy as can be. The experience is superb and please do try at least once in your life time. Btw, they do have 20% off until April 2012 for a first timer, so instead of Rp.340.000, you just need to pay Rp.272.000 for a liberating experience like I have.

A little bit sharing here on why I keep having Brazilian Wax, is not just like some people think, you know for sexual pleasure, it's more like hygienic reason. I like a clean soft private area.
