Silkygirl Long-Wearing Lipliner

recently, thanks to MAC, I begin to use more lipliner since the formula is like a matte lippies, it's thick and dense but full of color at the same time. So for me, it's a good thing as I'm not a fan of a wax nor lipstick that is too creamy or too glossy. Leave it to lip gloss, lipstick should be thick and creamy and surely, dense.

Somehow a thick one interest me the most since it doesn't give my lips a greasy feeling, so I either prefer a lip ink that comes in a liquid where only the color later existed on the lips or this kind where it felt thin.

I'm using the lip liner all over the lips and love the mauve shade, it's gorgeous. The solid color is satisfying, there's a room for improvement in terms of glide smoothly, but it is close, and since the product is so budget friendly, it never hurt.

Never twist more than you need as they'll surely break.

Use lip gloss for a watery finish or use it with your favorite lipstick with the similar tone.

The packaging is typical to any other liquid lippies but the design is so hip. Reminds me a lot of a brand from UK that is eye catching and suitable for the young or those who are young at heart.

The colors are vibrant too, mostly reds and pinks but it is pretty differ one to another with nude as well. They given me 2 shades, first is 1. Retro (like peach in tone) and shade number 8. Artsy ( a deep dark red shade).

So it's totally in different part of shades for sure.

Below is me using the products from SILKYGIRL, from the base makeup, eyes to the lips, and yes, it's Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Artsy.

The feeling is comfortable, it's matte alright and it doesn't give me that tight gripping dryness, so it's still gentle on the lips with the maximum effect. From pigment, coverage, texture and staying power.

The price is definitely in the budget friendly too, I think this one is worth collection, like the whole set of shades.

And to complete the look, I'm also using their Ever Glossy Nail Polish that comes in Dusty Pink, irresistible!!

SILKYGIRL Magic BB Oil-Control Pure Fresh Powder

This is a fresh product just arrived today at my mail and immediately went trough a test. Here are some of the benefits of the product:
1. Contain  SPF 45 / PA +++ is actually pretty good for daily use to help the skin survive under the sun.
2. Available in three shades, 01 Fair, 02 Natural, and 03 Rose Beige.
3. It is said to be No Shine, No Oil, No Fragrance, No Clog Pores and No Animal Testing.

And it contain a bunch of ingredients such as porous powder that absorb excessive oil, saw palmetto and rose fruit extract that visibly reduces pores vicinity, and hyaluronic filling spheres hydrates for a soft skin appearance all day long.

Selling price Rp. 55.000 which perhaps means budget friendly.

The compact itself is not big, but it has a relatively good mirror, sponge and the powder. I've tested the product on a damp slightly oily skin. So it's pretty messy. Usually, most powder will simply noodled and become very cakey. This one doesn't.

Since it is small and the price does made me underestimate the product. I forgot that during my college days, I used to wear cheap fake affordable products and since it's powder, I'm using it everyday and it's like the first thing that I run out. I forgot that 'these' kinds of product that people used to underestimate are the ones that truly works in a sense of makeup as it is.

The product may not infused with skincare as 'heavy' as the overpriced one, or inside a 22 carat gold packaging, plus perhaps not an Asahi Glass mirror, but in it's simplicity, it still deliver as it is.

The just right sun protection to the ability to absorb oil like dessert drinks water is just amazing. Those who have dry skin will definitely suffer and it is a product made for oily skin and all it's benefit from being oily. Did you know that oily skin get lines and wrinkles less than dry skin?! So stop complaining if you have oily skin, you'll love it in the end.

Back to the powder. I've tried it dry and I've tried it wet, using the same sponge the product just work. I love it better when it is wet since it can really act like a Magic BB. Since my skin is not oily, the result may not be as obvious as those who are, but I still can see some differences.

The skin tone is even, the skin appear brighter and I'm wearing number 02 which is natural. I think the product kinda like a Japanese powder which only share a few shades but do cater like all skin type which means the powder is somewhat transparent but have a good coverage. And as my skin is dry with normal to a bit oily on the tzone, I can feel the drought, it really taken all the oils. If you wear it for the whole day do drink plenty of water and during night time, enjoy a pampering watery sleeping mask that promote pure hydration on the skin. As oily means dehydration at times, drinking plenty of fluids and use watery sleeping mask never hurt.

SILKYGIRL Go Matte LipColor

Hello lovelies,

as shared on my previous post about SILKYGIRL newest collection, the Matte Lipstick, here are most of the collection.

The shades consist of 6 matte lipsticks, due to the stock, SILKYGIRL are now run out of number 5. Seems like Sassy Orange is a huge hit.

Let's start with number 1. Nearly Nude, which for me it became completely nude. I guess for shade number one, the base color of your original lips also matter, on me somehow it became like a faint orange to coral.

The texture of the lipstick is smooth, all of Go Matte collection is not dry at all but very much comfortable even thou' it is not really moisturizing as well.

Number 2 is Wild Pink. a shade of light fuchsia, a color that definitely match any skin tone, live up to the moment and scream 'IN LOVE' without the need of emotional attachment to particular someone.

It's not as bold as red but definitely not in the 'tame' district as well.

A color that I think perfectly fine for single and strong powerful women who lives in the show business or fashionista.

Number 3 is Siren Red. Brave, bold, a touch of brazen too, powerful to the bossy and full confident area. A red shade that never gets bored.

But I want my red to be deeper and bluer too, it still feels too light for me.

Mystic Rose, shade number 4. I always have a thing with rose and matches every shade with 'rose' in it. I guess it is my persona. My comfort zone. My color for everyday me, a timid side of me. The one that ones to blends in but still look pretty and presentable. It's cute and mildly seductive.

Last but definitely not least, my favorite, Exotic Wine.

As seen, my chapped lips are still chapped and not conceal. It is a sign of a light lipstick but somewhat good coverage.

I'm loving this shade since it is unique with a hint of blue, violet, magenta, red and pink with the right proportion. A color that I love using it everyday without getting bored.

Tips: do scrub the lips for a smoother finish, except if you're like me and in the very sensitive zone during special time of the month and the lips bleed easily. Just keep drinking water with plenty of fresh veggies and fruits and those moments shall pass :D

A few weeks ago I was invited by SILKYGIRL for an event at Plaza Semanggi. The long waited product has finally here in Indonesia, it's the matte lipsticks.

Of course, for me, the highlight is still the products, the nail polish and the matte lipstick.

I was given some of their products, one shade for the matte lipstick, one for ever glossy nail polish, an eyeliner and blush on from the existing collection and everything in this cute box.

The matte lipstick I received was number 6, exotic wine. A shade that has been in my mind lately, somehow it looks so sophisticated and seductive at the same time.

It is matte but doesn't feel so dry, in fact it was really comfortable to be used on the lips without the feeling of a 'matte' lipstick.

The color is actually pretty much like the lipstick, due to the lighting during photo, it became a bit like brick red, when it isn't.

And aside from the comfort, I also like the fact that they have almost no scent, some scent can be pretty disturbing, one with too much or the completely no scented hence it felt chemical. This one has a subtle scent that I like.

For those who are a big fan of a completely matte finish will fine them as semi matte finish and still transfer but doesn't bleed.

I love how it coated the lips and appears like second skin. Like a thin veil covering the lips imperfection and give color.

The lipstick last around 3-4 hours on me since it is not transfer-proof.

And after being happy with the lipstick, since it is budget friendly as well with relatively good formula, I'm also amazed with ever glossy, the color is so there and the gloss after adding a top coat is like amazing.

The nail polish comes with a small brush and the texture of the nail polish is like magic, it stays on the nails and I hardly make a mess since it doesn't melt and goes everywhere. So it is not as runny as most nail polish I used before.

Clozette Beauty Blogger Gathering with We Chat, WRP, and Silkygirl

Hello everyone!!!

I'm back with another exciting gathering with Clozette Indonesia. This time, they collaborate with We Chat, WRP, and Silkygirl.

Located at hot HongKong Cafe (thanks to the dying air conditioner), Clozette Ambassadors and members has gathered and we all excited about the event we're going to have, since Priskila Eirene is here to teach us how to make a simple video tutorial.

From the basic tool to free apps she recommend for any beginner to start with. She explained everything clearly and with ease.

Her tips includes:
Invest in a good tripod, always take a video in a panorama view, find a lovely background, if not, a plain white will do. Avoid making video in the bathroom. When possible use proper lighting and sun will always be a free and wonderful option.

Free apps you can use are Splice for Apple products and Viva Video for Android.

We also get a chance to make a short video during the event and she helps us understanding each process.

It is best to make a short video instead of a long one, a tutorial under 3 minutes gets more hits than the ones longer. Make short videos and then combine them into one. Edited them one by one to get that right period. Use audio or record your voice in the editing process. If needed use a microphone for a clearer voice.

Combined the videos all together to make one video. If you prefer to have music, always use the one that doesn't have copyright issue.

The next event is with WRP.

WRP are known as weight reduction program by dieting. They are not promoting self hunger but more to selective diet and counting calories. They support plans, products and nutritionist as well on their WRP centers.

They are so adorable, and beside easy to be used, as usual the products by SILKYGIRL is always friendly to the wallet.

For me the highlights is definitely on the lipstick, the Moisture Balm Lip Color feels so smooth on the lips and moisturizing as well. I really love the color. Lychee is not a common name for a lipstick heehee but in SILKYGIRL world, it does.

The color glides on easily and leave that perfect mid matte and glowy effect. For me, it is just right.

I'm also liking the blusher for being so soft, so the color is not pigmented, so it gives the cheek that subtle hint of rosy glow (or other shade if you choose different).

I found SILKYGIRL products very suitable for those looking for an everyday makeup, whether you're in college or working, they are fit for that fuss free daily look.

Silkygirl Big Eye Smokey Eyeliner + Smudger in Blackest BlackandDarkBrown

Mine is in Blackest Black and Dark Brown. The Big Eye Smokey Eyeliner definitely have an eye catching name. It promises a bigger eye in a smokey look.

Here are the swatches, the Blackest Black is clearly seen to be smoother than the Dark Brown, on the skin or on paper. It was softer in texture compared to Dark Brown.

As clearly written on the pencil, these babies are waterproof, but really, I've tried many so called waterproof product, only a few prevail, and these are amongst those few. It is really waterproof and it sets pretty fast, like the fastest one I've tried, I'm taking picture right after swatches and they are dried. Unable to smudge them in a matter of 60 seconds.

So I made another line and immediately smudges the line and it works. But when the smudging is done when they are set the smudger has become an eraser. So I really have to do it as soon as possible, A.S.A.P.

Here's my first trial on the eyes.

It is really difficult to do in within seconds, so I kept on trying until I get the right formula.So I'm using a primer that gives the skin a moist effect to compete with the instant dry formula.

Below are the results, in two style of eyeliner. These are so far my best result in using this super waterproof eyeliner.

But I'm not giving up just yet, I'll keep finding and figuring out how to stay ahead before it sets.

Overall,

A perfect pencil-crayon eyeliner that sets almost instantly. When used the product will stay on the most oily, greasy and sweaty eyelids without fail for hours and hours. The only problem I have is the smudging, I have to be really fast and still figuring out the way to do it to make a perfect smudges.

On my mind right now is adding a bit of moisturizer, like dab a bit, or perhaps an eye cream right before usage so I can buy a bit more time before it set. Or I can gradually build up the smokey look with thin line and smudges layer per layer. Once set the smudger will become like an eraser where it lifted up the products from the skin and eraser-like-residue starts coming off.
