So in this review, I'll share with you my first experience using the product since it's just been days. At first, when I opened the lid, the amazing citrus fruity scent is just bursting with freshness and I love the scent so much that I kept sniffing on it.

The white gel cream also looks so beautiful, it's cream but like jelly, so easy to be taken by the skin, melts within touch and made the skin instantly moisturized. I don't have to keep on massaging the product for the cream to be absorbed, my skin will drink all of it within seconds.

Like the cream is enveloping my skin with thin film of moisture, the collagen, ceramide and everything works together to help the skin become supple and soft.

Dry skin cracks easily and filled with lines and wrinkles, by using the cream, the skin gains strength by flexibility and hydration. The nourishing cream helps the skin and goes to beyond the surface so the moisture stays within and continue working giving the skin that mochi bouncy feeling for hours and hours.

For those who are looking for a deep effects may use it as a cream mask, simply apply on a clean damp skin, thin layer will do, or thick when you really need more, especially for me on the cheeks area where they were the driest, and leave them on for 15-30 minutes, I can also use an optimizer to add more massaging action so my skin absorb them even more and alive. Wipe the leftover with soft facial tissue or massage it to your neck, hands and elbow, or anywhere you please, the feeling is just wonderful. The skin becomes so soft and clear afterwards since it is filled with hydration.

Even thou the texture is creamy and the name contains horse oil, no worries, it's not greasy and sticky, the cream is pretty much comfortable.

I feel like the cream is pretty rich in ingredients hence I'm not using a serum when using Duplair Horse Oil, just clean the skin and spray toner so the skin is damp. Like known, the skin is can works better in damp condition including when using skincare, mask, or serum and moisturizer. That's why we've been longing for moisture that last on the skin, hence they'll stay happy and healthy, the 'thing' that made the skin able to retain moisture is non other than ceramide.

We all know that we have collagen that made the skin, so it is beneficial having cream that contain collagen, and this cream have 3 collagen, neat right?! Collagen and ceramide in the cream works side by side for our skin.

The soft pink huge tube is really big, and I think it could last a while, even when using it as a cream mask once a week. I do use a non metal spatula for skincare every time I use it to scoop it out, or make sure you do have clean fingers when taking them and no double dip, so the product stays hygienic.

The middle white lid can be thrown away when not in need, but during traveling, the mid lid is needed, or you can simply get a smaller jar for lighter baggage.

Otsuka Jelly Collagen C Placenta C Hyaluronic Acid C

I can't believe after all these years and so many boxes of jellies I bought every time I visited Japan, I didn't make any review, not even once. I always asked by many people what kind of beauty supplement I consume in daily basis, and it's always these, Otsuka Jelly or perhaps some even know it (now) as Earth Jelly.

The products come in three variants, each of them is different, the only similarity is that it's in sachet, individually wrapped on a box for a month. There's pink, orange and blue, what are those? Let's see one by one.

The orange one is placenta jelly, comes in mango flavor. The pink one is collagen, with mangosteen extract (oh wow mangosteen is a real hit in Japan too) with fish collagen, and the blue one is hyaluronic acid that taste like pear or they said it themselves, French taste.

These are the appearance of the jellies in sachet, so they are so easy to consume, just one per day, that's why they sell them in boxes packaging. 1 box contain 31 jellies. Since they are supplement, taking them in the long run are the one that made the differences. So, if you can't committed yourself in consuming them on daily basis for months and months, I don't think you can get the optimum benefit.

Let's begin with the pink one, which is collagen, this is the first type I consume since years and years ago, I think it's around 2012. The jellies are sold in beauty shops like Matsumoto and other drug store all over Japan. I think the price is around 2000 Yen gives and take, I think I got mine around 1800 Yen.

Next is the Placenta Jelly in mango flavor, please by all means, click on any image if you want to read all the details including the ingredients of the jellies. The pink one is fish collagen while the orange yellow one is from pig. So there you go, those who can't eat pig or perhaps pure vegetarian, I can only say, sorry.

Last but not least, here are the last one of their variant, in blue, like the perfect resemblance to hydration since it is hyaluronic acid, for hydrating the skin in general.

So if you noticed that all the supplements have C it means that they all contain Vitamin C, the amount might be differ one to another but they all have.

I think the company is very good in making these jellies, they have created trend, a way to eat beauty supplement simpler than any other brand (like Meiji with their collagen powder, or most brand with pills), these jelly is way more fun to consume and perfect for traveling too. I took one per day and just by counting the sachet as per days of traveling and I'm good to go. They don't need special packaging, fit to the slimmest purse and easy to be opened.

Look how delicious they look, the jellies are irresistible. There's differences in texture too, the berries which is collagen (pink) is the one that more like agar, not as fragile as agar, still in jelly consistency, but slightly like agar, breakable. While the yellow (placenta) and blue one (hyaluronic acid) is a much more former in texture, and I think the hyaluronic acid is the firmest of them all, I can wiggle it as much as I want and it wont break. And yes, I do love to play with my food, that's why I know.

Regarding the taste,

The blue one is the freshest one with a sweet pear flavor, I don't really relate the feeling like French taste as describe by the brand. More like something that taste good and easy to consume, even my kids are loving it, not that I want to give them but the texture and appearance of the jelly made them really want to try.

And this variant have mild sweetness, while mango (yellow) is the sweetest of them all.

The orange yellow one, which is mango flavor, has no scent or feeling like eating placenta whatsoever (thank goodness), so I don't feel any weirdness in consuming, like eating a jelly, mango jelly that is.

Like said above this one is the sweetest of them all and don't think of it like a regular jelly that taste super sweet, but comparing between these three, in moderation, the sweetness is still mild.

And the collagen, the pink one with berries, it have that sweet and sour flavors like eating berries. This one is red, juicy, and kinda like berry jam.

I've been consuming this variant the longest, perhaps they are one of the reason my skin is looking better and healthier. It may not make me appear younger, but delays aging as they are antioxidant too.

There are pros and cons whether the supplement (any supplement) for the skin really can made differences on the skin since the metabolism and absorption are differ one to another and it may not even reach the skin (the nutrition).

However, there are many people in Japan who appear so much younger than they actual age and claim to consume these beauty supplement for years, so I guess, in the end, they do help, when taken correctly, in the right dose over the period of time and with healthy lifestyle.

Like using skincare on daily basis, the effects are gained afters continually using it on daily basis and when used properly, I personally believe, these beauty supplement are similar. Hence, never stop taking care of yourself using any means possible with the correct attitude and healthy diets, habit and overall happiness. We all know, a happy heart is a key to perfect health.

Konnyaku Shabon Konjac Soap Gold Face Wash

I found one jelly like product during traveling in Otaru, Hokkaido. It looks so cute and adorable. The shop itself is pretty small and they have two people that keep promoting the products, from lotion, serum, to konjac soap. Yes, konjac soap!! We know konjac sponge right, it's been a huge hit back then for the irresistible texture that cares the skin, now, it's soap made all from natural ingredients.

The colors are so pretty, there's pink, yellow, white, green, and mine, gold.

All made using the clear water and essential oils. Everything was handmade too.

This new groundbreaking cleansing soap, Konnyaku shabon, contains a large amount of extracts from natural konjac potato (yam). The Hakodate store carries five limited versions of the soap: Tange Weed and Gold, Melon, Peach, Beer, and Soybeans. A hint of lavender scent is added after the famous flower in Hokkaido.

Every single one of them is wrapped beautifully in a paper like cotton wrap, it's so 'Japanese', these handmade items was made with care. I was also given a lotion to try, it was so good, I wish I bought them all, from the moisturizer and not just the cleanser. Everyone in my home enjoy using the face soap, it bubbles up abundantly, using a foam net it can make that perfect foam in no time.

Using the hand it will need more time heehee, but I still do enjoy using it, the konjac texture is sooooo adorable. I like playing with it heehee, it is so bouncy and slippery at the same time, smells good too. We love how relaxing the scent is and never overwhelming.

The cleansing properties is amazing, it is clean yet gentle, but when left on the skin too long, since sometime I love using foaming facial wash as a 2-3 minute mask, some products can be as good as that, works as a cleanser and mask, the nourishment gets into the skin and the cleanliness is unbeatable. But, again, for Konnyaku Shabon, it can be a bit itchy on sensitive to dry skin, that means it helps regenerating, so on those who have dull skin, try leave the foam for a few minutes and it helps rejuvenating the skin, noticed the skin regrow faster and better too.

For me, a perfect cleansing is a start of a good skin care routine,
with a clean skin, acne can be reduced or avoided at all,
with clean skin skincare absorbed better,
with clean skin, makeup performs better too.

Everything starts with a clean skin.

Overall,

A very good face wash with gold, Rishiri Kelp Gold (to be exact) that promote elasticity.

What's in it?
Gold Foil and Rishiri Kelp essence with lavender scent. Fucoidan contained in Rishiri kelp from Hokkaido and the ceramide the konjac provide moisture the skin and improve elasticity.

Easy to lather, foam abundantly and beautifully, works like a charm in cleaning the skin and making them happy. The skin is clean with soft and smooth effect all over.  Definitely recommended the soap for everyone who wants better skin condition, firming and younger looking skin.

Clymina North Yellow Cream

a while ago during my recent trip to Hokkaido, I found this baby on as a last minute shopping venture near the airport. The product seems to be known as a souvenir from Japan and perhaps famous too since I see that there's information for it all over the store.

It was like an all in one cream but with unique texture that like a creamy gel with tiny curds. These curds will melt on the skin. Curds? Yes, kinda like that, like cheese curd on a yogurt like consistency.

And one thing that made me purchase the product is that it comes in several different variant, mine is apple and it smells so fresh and fruity.

The first function is as a lip balm. It have a smoothing effect that instantly cover the surface of the dry and chapped lips. I'm using it on my hands too as it absorb pretty fast, the skin feels moist and comfortable without any greasy effects.

What's inside the cream?

Starting with natural oleic acid and vitamin E obtained from non-pesticidal sunflower oil "Northern Yaei" in Nayoro City, honey, rapeseed oil of Anpingo town, salmon skin marine collagen, deep ocean water, pesticide herb extract, etc. Hokkaido "Clymina (Crimea)" skin care cream, which has been carefully selected with carefully selected ingredients.

And of course, the cream can be used on the face too, it provide the skin with ample nourishment, I feel kinda bad for myself, I should've purchase the bigger one. The cream made the skin feels like it was happy and well maintained without causing any side effects. I have a sensitive skin that pretty sensitive to perfume, but this one I can use with ease.

The all in one cream (all in one as if can be used for any part of the body, from face, hand, heels, elbows, to even as a body cream) is perfect for traveling too. Just bring one for the whole family as it helps any gender and kids too. I don't know about babies, but my 4 years old can use it when her cheeks felt dry when we're in the plane.

It help soothe the skin with the properties inside and the lovely green apple boost the mood too, we really like the scent. Some of the other variant too by we like green apple the best.

A small one like this cost around Rp. 100 k, so it's not really expensive product. What I love about the product is also the fact that it is a environmentally safe product made with responsible. They have this whole information on the pamphlet about the ingredients comes from local farmers and so on, it was a genuinely good product I can feel happy about whenever I'm using it.

Hokkaido Okhotsk Mystar Hand & Body Cream

these babies are my treasure during my recent trip to Hokkaido. Lately, Japan has been booming with all natural skincare products from face wash, serums, lotions to multi balm and nature infused and based on ingredients.

Famous local benefits like honey, seasonal vegetation, to fruits and flowers, many highly acclaimed crops has been used, and in this post, it would be about honey, sunflower oil, and asparagus. I'll separate the post into three, each for one product that deserve a post on its own.

I bump into these babies on a mall right next to New Chitose Airport and we were about to board that day. It's kinda a last minute shopping spree thinking that I should get some for inside the plane. It would be around 12 hours journey including transit time in Hong Kong and my skin can be pretty dry. The kids can use it too since it doesn't have known harmful chemicals. Ooh, I can go on and on about beauty products from Japan nowadays how they grow improving the local produce to home industry, it is their brilliant mind that never seize to amazed me.

They have testers on the store and when I tried them I knew I have to buy them. These are the babies, irresistible babies.

Each of them have different texture and benefits that are so beautiful while making the skin beautiful too.

Let's start with a Hand & Body Cream with honey as one of the main ingredients.

The packaging, details given on the store, are all about honey and the benefits of honey in this product. It care, nourish, and protect the skin while healing them as well. The sweet smell of honey is irresistible, I love how calming it is and made me feel comfortable. And the texture is surreal, it was one of the reason why I feel like I have to made this post, since I think it is one of my best finding. I love traveling since it made me allows meetings with these beauty products, a product that was unique, effective and healthily beautiful.

The aroma is not just honey but a bit of citrus too, so it's a refreshing addition while the texture is melting on the skin, covering, creating thin films that made my dry skin so happy and healthy. I love it, it changes my view of a hand and body cream where it becomes light, breathable, but very much moisturizing and the effect is immediate and last on the skin, it soothe and gives my skin an instant lift. That tiny cracks when the skin is super dry, are covered in a matter of seconds and looks perfectly moist once again and no residue whatsoever on the skin. Like it was drunk all at once, the formula must be so good to be so acceptable by skin.

I'm using it for my hands and body too. Too bad I only bought a smaller version since I'm worry about travel limitation on liquid, but I'll be sure to get some more whenever possible.

Highly recommend this product for everyone. The scent may not last for hours but the protection does, I simply use it twice a day and enjoy the benefits of a nourish skin all day long.

They sell the hand and cream for around 1500 yen, which I think so worth the price. A lot of very expensive products in Indonesia market that comes with hefty price but in so much less benefit nor quality.

Alovivi and Purevivi Launch in Jakarta

last weekend, Suika Beauty invited me to an event that announce the coming of Alovivi and Purevivi in Jakarta. These two brands are from Japan (figured from the name, right?!), hence I'm excited to see whether I know them or not, or at least get to know them better.

Alovivi itself related to aloe vera as their main ingredient. They have tons of products in the Alovivi and a few from Purevivi, Purevivi is more to the cleansing items.

The event is held in Gandaria area and begins with a presentation by the representatives from Japan.

Since all the ladies are from Japan, a translator is needed during the presentation. The lady in black is the translator and the rest are from Japan introducing the products. How to use them, what is the function and what are the benefits in using the products. I'll share with you one by one on the post below.

Most of the products are put on the table for every guests to try. There's skin balm (which is a trend in Japan right now, the beauty stores are filled with skin balm nowadays), moisturizing water, cleansing water, cleansing wipes, gel, lipstick and eyeliner too.

They all look so pretty, I love Japanese products since the design is so clean, simple, yet effective in details.

The texture is really like a balm and the scent is so refreshingly citrus. Anyone who love orange will enjoy smelling it every now and then.

The scent may last for around an hour but the balm is still there layering the skin with moisturizer. The feeling could be a bit sticky when used too much. I advise using it on a damp skin.

The next one I tried on the spot is their lipstick, since it was new, sealed and haven't been used, I can put it on my lips directly. The color is red and a bit sheer, a typical Japanese lippies, they love sheer lipstick. But we can continue layering it for a bolder look, still, the trend is different from the west.

We (Asian) prefer to have our skin conditioned to be nourished and well taken care off so we don't need to use too much makeup, that's why skincare is so important. One of the product, that I think is one of the highlight, is their gel.

Aside from the Skin Balm, all in one gel also a huge hits, even on department stores that sells souvenirs are these all in one gel. I happen to bought a few from Japan during my recent trips. In Hokkaido I see many skin balm where in Osaka or Kansai area, I see many all in one gel. These gels are famous during summer as it cools the skin too with light moisturizing effect, suitable for humid weather.

And there's mask too, I'll review it soon since it is one of the products given in the goody bag. Aside from the products to bring home, we can purchase some of them on the spot too. I bought their number 1 cleanser from Purevivi that won Cosme award. An award that get many attention in Japan since it is real and based on customers review.
