Kanebo Media Moisturizing Lipstick

Hello lovelies,

I've been looking for autumn colors since well, autumn is when the colors are the best, it has the depth of wine and dark colors berries, and I just love those colors. Or I could go either nude, it's like the best season ever.

I'm kinda bored with spring and summer colors now, and I'm in the mood for autumn. Winter itself usually about frost and metallic shades.

Oh well, here are the colors I picked from Kanebo Media (Japan). Pk-22, WN-08, RS-24, RS-18. They have 22 shades in total, surely anyone could easily pick one they prefer. Or in my case, 4.

-*-

All the details are in Japanese, since after all they are all bought in Japan. Each of them cost 950 Yen, and just in case someone asking, I don't know where to get these babies outside from Japan.

Kanebo itself is a big brand in Japan, they have many brands below them or made by them, Media is one of the 'sub brand' from Kanebo. Hence we can rest assure of the quality  of the product.

-*-

The product comes in deep blue color and pale gold lining. Opening and closing the product is very smooth and the details of the product is provided on the plastic box while the shades are seen on the bottom part of the lipstick.

-*-

Aside from lippies by Media, I also bought one from Rimmel (far right), hence there's 5 swatches instead of 4.

And yes, they are all autumn shades. I wish I can get some more (being greedy).

Let's just start with the review shall we?! All of the lipstick are moisturizing for sure, comfortable to be used and since it contains Marine Collagen, Olive Oi,  and Jojoba Oil.

-*-

The first one I use is RS - 18

The shade is like a faint rose, rather pinkish and subtly coral. Still in the nude zone for my lips.

Do pay attention, as one original lip color may affect the result of the lips your using, same goes with skintone. Hence, always try the lipstick prior from buying.

-*-

It was subtle, comfortable and suitable for daily use as the color is mild. It gives me a fresh looking makeup do.

-*-

The next one is PK-22.

This is probably the nudest one of them all out of all four.

-*-

This is perfect when I want to have a heavy eye makeup do. So the attention will all goes to the eyes. And the nude lippies also somehow made the look appear serious and classy. Suitable for an event too.

-*-

And for those who knows me well, must have already guess, WN-08 is my favorite.

-*-

The wine shade like a dark berries is just irresistible and speaks autumn at it's finest. Like this is the best shade to be used during the season. Imagine red colored leaves, walking around with outfit that matches, the lips looks so ravishingly good. I know that Indonesia doesn't have four seasons, but we can never beat the feeling of in the season.

-*-

Just imagining the whole scenery and simply enjoy the seasons shade. I love using WN-08. I did wish the brand invent a prettier name instead of coding and numbers.

-*-

The next one is RS-24.

back to the rose, but this one is a bit like dusty and a hint of brown. I love it too. It is more to serious like going to an important meeting or so.

-*-

It has a bit of metallic effect on me, perhaps I can still use the shade for winter.

-*-

Overall,

all of them are wonderful, very smooth texture, glossy, highly moisturizing but not greasy nor oily. Some shades are more pigmented than the others, like WN-08 is the most pigmented, followed by PK-22, RS-18 and RS-24. Easy to be used, forgiving in terms of when making mistake, hence they don't stained nor have waterproof ability, but their shades does last pretty good as long as no swiping is done. Doesn't bleed on me and have a soft subtle scent that somehow fresh and a bit to the floral.

-*-

Thank you so much hubby for getting me these babies and understanding that your wife needs more than 85 lipstick at home.

Kanebo Impress Granmula

Hello lovelies,

last week I was invited by Kanebo Indonesia, for an experience at the counter with Impress Granmula series.

-*-

Please do read more regarding Impress Granmula here:

http://www.kanebo-my.net/impress/en/granmula/skincare/index.html

-*-

First, they are testing my skin, with the skin check I was able to know that my skin is in my 20's while my actual age is 30's.

But there are still room for improvements, especially in the sebum zone, my skin is oily here and the sebum looks too much.

-*-

It was clearly seen that my cleansing is not enough.

So the team do a mini facial on me, let me try on the products from Impress Granmula, but first, they cleaned everything from my skin.

After cleansing they put on lotion, by using a cotton pad and with a patting motion so the air on the skin may break loose and so does everything else. This technique helps the rest of the skincare to penetrate into the skin and the skin gets the nutrients it need.

Followed by serum, emulsion and the cream. They all feels good and comfortable on the skin. I can't say much since this is just a counter experience.

Below is my skin condition after the mini treatment.

-*-

The moisture and sebum level is better but how come the suppleness and circulation lessen a bit?!

After finish, of course the Kanebo team helps to do my makeup all over again.

I found a product from Lunasol which I think irresistible, the Creamy Matte Crayon Lips, they come in 4 shades and super pretty. I'm using EX02, please do see the swatches on my instagram account @carnellin.

-*-

I wish I can say more about Kanebo Impress Granmula, but since it is only an experience at the counter and one time only, all I can say is the products is light and rich at the same time. Comfortable to be used and doesn't irritate my skin.

Thank you Kanebo Indonesia.

Kate Lash Extention Mascara BK-1

Hi everybody!!!

A gal always need her mascara fresh and new, well at least every 3 months to keep the eyes healthy and problem free too. So when a friend gave me this mascara, I'm gladly accepting the gift from Japan ^__^

-*-

Kate is a brand from Kanebo, they are known for being chic, trendy and current.

-*-

Here are the details from:

http://www.kate-global.net

-*-

Below is the image of the actual product, the neat packaging is modern and sophisticated at the same time. Trendy!

-*-

The mascara itself is not as creamy as other mascara and doesn't look like a gel either, so it is something in between, where it is light, but still covering, giving the lashes a thin coating that stretches, which gives the lashes a longer looking natural lashes, and feels light as well.

It does add a bit curl, I don't use any eyelash curler for the images below:

-*-

The thin coating film easily break thou', but the rest stays without fail, waterproof and easily clean after use with cleansing oil.

Do I like the product?
Yes, for the light feeling, non-sticky, natural look of a mascara that add length and curl without being to thick or unnatural, stays almost all day long despite the few 'droppings' of the 'fake lashes'. Overall, it is a wonderful product that add lashes in volume as well, so the eyes become more interesting.

Kate Wide Edge Eyes by Kanebo

Hi everyone,

from my recent trip to Japan, I bought these goodies from Kate. I've been a fan of Kate's eye shadows for the amazing sparkling effect since 5 years ago and for me they are among the first that keep giving sparks to the eyes in the vividly natural way possible.

Nowadays, there are many other brands and variety as well, we have plenty of choices in getting our eyes dazzling.

Mine is in PU-1. I love how easy and simple the product is, blending has never become easier and the fine texture of the powder makes it worth every penny to purchase. The look changed into wider eyes but still in the softness and delicate tones of Japanese makeup.

Here is my look from yesterday's event with Boss. The dark shade can easily gives me a smokey eyes, the white base is super fine and soft, suitable as a base before everything else and as a highlighter for the nose, the purple is a hue that so delicate and definitely no color block here, and the beige, light brown and cream is the complements for everything else and make a wonderful harmony.

I rarely use a primer prior using eyeshadow and with Kate Wide Edge Eyes? I don't feel the need to.

All the details is in Japanese, so please do mind the Google translate method up there ^0^

Kanebo (and like other brand in Japan) has many many many branches of products below, such as Kate, Lunasol, etc. Still in one giant happy family of Kanebo, thou'.

Media is still in Kanebo.

Below is me using the pressed powder after using Even Better Makeup by Clinique. So the pressed powder is used after foundation/BB cream, I'm not recommending it to be used solo.

I love the instant brightening effect and the skin become soft and smooth. It's not exactly mattefying but definitely keep the sebum away, so the skin appears velvety powdered. For me no.1 suits my skin well for giving a fair look without being pale, no.2 gives the skin a more natural look with more beige.

The powder last for 2-3 hours and need another touch up when I'm outdoor, but if the air is dry or in air-conditioned room, it can last for 4-6 hours (my skin type is combination dry).

Collage of me after using Bright Up Powder, fair looking skin it!
