Vidal Sassoon Light & Soft Nude Shampoo

Hello lovelies,

still looking for that perfect shampoo? The key is easy peasy, always look for a non silicone ones that cares for the scalp and hair growth, contain no sls or sles, and of course no paraben. But it's hard, especially in Indonesia, not a lot of brand mass produce this kind of product. While the world has keep evolving with the best and safer thing for daily use, we are kinda stuck, many brands still 'proud' giving us silicone inside their shampoo and claim to be the best for dry hair (sighs).

-*-

Seems like I'm having so much trouble finding details for Vidal Sassoon from China on google, like it was impossible. So this post is made solely from my experience using it.

Start from the packaging which I really like, it's red as any other Vidal Sassoon trademark product but since the theme is nude, it has that transparent part on the bottom. It's clear and it's the first of VS product with clear packaging.

And one of my favorite key feature is the pump bottle, I always love shampoo in a pump bottle, it's simple and more hygienic. It doesn't allow spills and mess in the shower room and usually comes in a right portion on each pump. But traveling with a pump shampoo is a challenge :D

-*-

Nevertheless, the details is mostly in Chinese on the back side and the front has some English details so I know that this is a nude shampoo where silicone is not included. When you happen to have dry hair and oily scalp, most shampoo in Indonesia are addressing the hair problems and made my roots worse, like the oils is just unbearable, silicone also add stickiness. So this is a clean option with a lightness and not adding  problems to my scalp and hair.

-*-

The shampoo is a clear gel that smells fragrant, lathers on beautifully on the hair and abundantly without causing my hair to feel tautly dry. So there's no squeaky clean feeling like there's tons of surfactant.

The clean feeling that it gives is pleasing and comfortable, the scalp and hair are both happy. Usually the option is rather the scalp or the hair only and no in between, but this one made the scalp cleans really well and the hair still feel manage-ably soft (of course I still have to use conditioner) compared to other shampoo for oily roots that strip the hair barren.

-*-

So far, the shampoo shows a good interaction with a colored hair too, they don't really preserved acid color hair but doesn't remove them all at once, it's somewhere in between since acid hair color means they will be loss in every washes. Conclusions, in terms of perfect for the colored hair, I would say, yes.

-*-

Overall,

a shampoo that everyone can use, thanks to it's light and soft formula. Smells so fragrantly good and never overwhelming. Perfect for dry, colored, damaged to even normal hair with no problems. Love the silicone free formula that made my scalp happy.

Organist Natural Science Deep Cleansing Scalpcare Shampoo and Organist Natural Science Herb Vinegar Nutritional Shampoo

Hello everyone,

usually we don't really pay attention to our scalp, as long as the hair is fine, it grows well, doesn't loose too much or still look pretty overall. Until we find the hair loss is too much, the hair falls in numbers we clearly see as not normal, when we see patches of baldness or perhaps thinning, then, we try to look for a solution, hair tonic, or treatments in salon or perhaps natural remedies. The thing is, most of us usually have the effort to solve the problems when it already occur then preventing it.

Some of the key in hair growth lies in the scalp, and our daily treatment. Yes, good dietary habit is important, alongside with balance lifestyle from sleep, exercise, to cleanliness, but every product we uses also plays an important part. I found out that shampoo, the one that goes directly in touch with our scalp is paramount.

-*-

What do we look in a shampoo? Trust me, don't look for aroma or commercial, do look for ingredients that benefit the hair and what's more important is to see that they don't contain things that are bad for the scalp. Why scalp? There's where the hair grow, when the scalp is blocked by stuff like silicone, the roots are unable to grow beautiful strong hair. So stop using any shampoo that contains silicone right now and repent.

Other than silicone, there's also paraben, it's been banned for skincare and cosmetics as well in Europe.

Now, why many shampoo contain silicone, it's there to make the hair shines, like most ads about shampoo boasting about how shiny, silky and radiant the hair is, well, it's perhaps silicone. Silicone itself is okay when in hair, so if you happen to have conditioner or hair mask that contain silicone, use it, but not on products that reach or even touches the scalp as it can build up to obstruct hair and in the end, hair growth.

The first thing is to look shampoo that contain no silicone and no paraben, and perhaps a good detox like a deep cleanse to remove all those silicone barrier on the scalp.

As I search around Watson in Takashimaya, I've noticed these shampoo from Organist Natural Science, and the first one is actually their Herb Vinegar Nutritional Shampoo which we bought and use until they are finished and we absolutely love it. Now we bought some more since we see more variant.

Let's start reviewing the Deep Cleansing Scalpcare Shampoo.

Both of them is clear and smells good. The Deep Cleansing has a slight minty or cooling effect that feels refreshing on the scalp. It cleanse the hair really well without being taut. So even without silicone, my hair still feels soft and shiny afterwards, it's comforting with the wintry effects.

The scalp and hair becomes cleans afterwards, sometime I need one session while on some other days when my hair is really greasy and dirty, I did it twice. The product lathers well and smell fresh, it provide a pristine finish.

Similar effect with the Herb Vinegar Nutritional Shampoo.

The Herb Vinegar may not have that minty fresh coolness on the scalp but still clean and smells so good. I prefer the vinegar one in terms of the aroma compared to the deep cleansing but they both works well on my hair, my daughter's too. She always have that musty scent on her scalp, especially when she just got back from school, but using the Herb Vinegar, her scalp smells flowery good and what I love about their shampoo (both) is that they both gave us a shiny hair that looks healthy plus clean and light. Like an automatic volume on the hair from the root all the way down.

And even thou' this shampoo contains no silicone, the hair stays tangle free, so squeaky clean like very drying effect is not available here. The hair is easy to run through using my fingers and the surface of each hair is full and appear nourished.

The scent? Stays on me almost the whole day, I love it! I know we are not supposed to choose a shampoo based on the scent, but getting one that has all the right ingredients and benefit with lovely fresh floral scent is a bonus I can't resist.

-*-

Gradually, by using non silicone shampoo, you'll notice the hair fall is getting less and less, the scalp no longer feels so oily and greasy, and the growth of your hair becomes normal again. Keep using the right product every single time to keep the scalp and your hair happy, and when they are happy, you'll certainly be happy too.

MINISO Floral Silicone Oil Free Smoothing Shampoo

Hello lovelies,

I always looking for that perfect shampoo, the one that smells so beautifully floral fragrance, contain no silicone oil since I know it was really bad for the scalp, and eventually made your hair falls out for being so clogging, and lathers well without making the hair strikingly dry. Finally, I found my dream in a shampoo bottle inside MINISO. Yes, MINISO,  not a beauty store, drugstore or normal daily market I went into, so it's kinda surprising and they are budget friendly too. It cost around 5 SGD (I bought mine in Singapore).

-*-

What does it says on the bottle,

Silicone oil free. Leave your hair clean, smooth and silky. Contains extractives from prenus speciosa, rose rugosa, iris florentina. Moisturizing your hair. Make it not dry any more. Make your hair bright and smooth.

And it was right, every sentence. Usually, using a silicone oil free shampoo means my hair still feel a bit taut, kinda dry, and mostly like I still need a bunch of conditioner or hair mask afterwards. Using MINISO Floral Silicone Oil Free Smoothing Shampoo is so different that other silicone oil free shampoo that I've used, MINISO made the hair feels so good, like so manageable and smells so romantically delightful.

I still need to use conditioner since my hair is severely damaged, but not as much as when I'm using other brand that cost 2 to 3 times higher. So it's like the best one in terms of function, effects and cost. I look at the product with one eye thinking how good could it be, like it shouldn't be that good, but it does, it was remarkable. Like a hair this soft should be because of silicone, but it's not, they must have put other moisturizing and silky-ing ingredients into the shampoo. They must have found some miracle ingredients that does magic. Prenus Speciosa seems like a thing that available in Diagon Alley.

Nevertheless, I seems like to find something that really precious in MINISO and I started to look at their stuffs differently now, as my next project in Singapore, I'll try more of MINISO's products and hopefully soon.

Words of the day: never judge a shampoo by it's brand.

Thank you for reading my post, see ya!

Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo

Hello everyone,

this is indeed a product suitable for everyone. The Amino Acid Shampoo, the one that contains no silicone and paraben, whoot!

Why am I so happy? Oh well, we all know that paraben is not good, now how about silicone?! For me, that's the one that make my hair limp and may blocked the scalp. I already have an active scalp, I want no more silicone to make it worst. The sebum and greasy scalp is enough. That's why the pure coconut oil inside this shampoo is a friend indeed.

It is a delightful shampoo experience alright, soft, smooth, gentle, yet effectively making my hair feels so good (and the scalp too). The coconut is makes everything seems like a breeze, like I'm in a tropical island filled with coconut tree, hearing islanders making music, while letting my hair blown by the comfortable wind, so light, so airy, making them feel lightweight.

Highly recommended for those looking for a non silicone shampoo, paraben free, and lathers on smoothly. Result: A soft airy hair that smells coconutty.

Use a proper conditioner for a desired effect.

Thank you Kiehl's Indonesia.
