Samsung Gear S2

Samsung has recently launch Samsung Gear S2. A Smartwatch with unique features that easily controlled, played with, and of course stylishly wearable, and on my case, preference, when used with certain wrist band. No worries, they come in many design and style. First, let's check their function before drooling about it being fashionably 'it'.

It is shaped exactly like a watch, but a smart one with rotating bezel to easily change it's feature..or may I say face. It has many faces. From presenting timing, line, messages, calls to collaborating with Nike+ Running. Everything related with daily lifestyle including health is here.

The good news is, Samsung Gear S2 is compatible with any smartphone you have, as long as it comes with one that above 1,5 RAM and Kit Kat.

The product comes in two variant, Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic. Gear S2 Classic made for user with elegant taste of leather band while Gear S2 is ideal for those with active and dynamic lifestyle who adore minimalism.

One of the best feature that I like about Gear S2 is the 24-hour Activity Log that can keep on 'counting' our fitness level. Perfect for a busy mom like me to keep me moving or rest when I needed. The daily water and caffeine intake also can be counted with one of the feature.

Beside those, during exercise (or whenever possible) within turns and clicks away, Gear S2 comes with Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Heart Rate, AmbientLight, and Baromete sensors.

The battery last around 2-3 days and wireless charging is available.

We dunk it inside a water tank and it stays on and off and on again with no problem whatsoever. Perfect for a clean freak like me, I need to wash my hands frequently and taking them on and off will be a bother. Same goes when it is raining or during swimming.

After connected to your device, the smartwatch can easily help you receive calls (or reject them), reply and send messages, connected to line, and any other app that will probably linked in the future. In this way, you can keep being connected without keep opening your phone.

I was on a team with Dewi and we were both pretty enthusiast with all the quests. Apparently, we have to keep on tweeting while taking pictures and try to figure it out how to use the smartwatch in the best way possible. It's not as easy as we though it would be. The screen kept going off and with so many features, we were overwhelm at first, after all, the playing time is only around 30 minutes, we couldn't figure it out all of its features.

Samsung Galaxy J5 4G LTE Features

seems like we're not getting over Samsung Galaxy J5 yet.

We've seen it's Ultra Power Saving Mode, More Battery Power, Quick Launch, Smart Manager for a quick navigation, Enhanced Camera with build-in flash camera and amazing front light, Stunning Viewing Experience with it's Super AMOLED screen, and now, another brilliant feature, the 4G LTE.

What is 4G LTE? According to webopedia:

An acronym for Long Term Evolution, LTE is a 4G wireless communications standard developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) that's designed to provide up to 10x the speeds of 3G networks for mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, netbooks, notebooks and wireless hotspots. 4G technologies are designed to provide IP-based voice, data and multimedia streaming at speeds of at least 100 Mbit per second and up to as fast as 1 GBit per second.

So basically, it's a feature that enable Samsung Galaxy J5 to become more updated, fast, reliable and connected to the rest of the world. Like in some countries, the phone are now already so up to date and only those who are using 4G can stays connected.

For beauty bloggers, it means that we can connect faster and better too to our social medias and audience alike.

Everything from twitter, instagram, google shares and everything I can think of is available in a single press of a button app, and 4g LTE helps me to connect faster and better too, this is the reliable part of the phone.

Imagine when you're thinking about someone and wants or desperately need to connect but the server or provider is just too slow or in a low signal, the 4G LTE can act like an 'antenna' that catches stronger signal too. It provide some kind of aid for us to connect.

To understand better, here's an example, you're in a cafe with your friends and free wifi is provided. Somehow your friends phones able to connect to the wifi and even watch streaming videos while yours is getting a difficulties just to stay connected. Even when you do, the signal seems to remain poor. The problems is not on the wifi or the internet connection provided by the cafe, it's the phone. Your friends phones are probably already with the latest technology such as 4G LTE and yours are not.

Related to my expertise, the 4G LTE enable me to share live videos on the spot, wherever I am and whenever possible, I can share live updates such as periscope.

Samsung Galaxy J5 Super AMOLED Screen

Hi all,

I'm back with my second post for the new Samsung Galaxy J5.

This time, it's about their Super AMOLED Screen. What is it? As someone who is not a tech savy, I have to rely on wikipedia, to explain the terms.

AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) is a display technology in mobile devices and television. OLED describes a specific type of thin-film-display technology in which organic compounds form the electroluminescent material, and active matrix refers to the technology behind the addressing of pixels.

In short, it produce brilliant colors and HD finish with lower cost and power too.

What does it do? What does the Super AMOLED screen do to my work as a beauty blogger? Look at the picture above and tell me that you do see the differences.

It made images appear brighter, better and of course much more appealing that it actually is. It's like watching on HD and let Samsung Galaxy J5 transform everything I capture into this picture perfect beauty.

Tons of images could easily be taken with ease and I thought it would take so much energy and memory, but it doesn't. From the front camera to back, everything looks awesome thanks to the Super AMOLED screen.

The response time also so fast, with less energy consume, bright or low light the smartphone remain power efficient and friendly enough to be used all day long.

Beauty bloggers are known to take gazillion images for a single product, so when we review and even during events, we took shots like hummingbirds flapping their wings. So we need our smartphone camera to stay alert and response quick enough to our needs without compromising the quality. Whenever we want to refresh the album and check our images, they are fast and comes in brilliant results.

Every single shots I took the colors are just amazing and reflects less light too. I know that they usually works better for outdoor but doesn't mean that the indoor are compromised. The screen also stays true when the direct sunlight hits. So you wont have a problem glaring at your phone when the sun shine so bright.

I can go on and on, but I think these images will actually explain better that I could ever do.

And in terms of saving the energy, it is also not a secret that beauty bloggers carry camera, smartphones, charger and power bank as well. With Samsung Galaxy J5 I've been using it alone for the past few weeks, replacing everything that are heavy and power consuming. And they do absorb less energy. In a day with 2 events, I don't have to recharge, probably until the 3rd event during the same day. I still do take tons of images for sure and there's no way I could reduce the amount of images, so? This is wonderful. I don't have to bring those extra weight and carry the smartphone in my purse only.

Now, let's get back to the event shall we?!

All of us are so happy to see the customize tumbler that has our blog on the new Samsung Galaxy J5. It's not just that, everyone also given the actual product.

Above are the specification of the products, all of you technical genius must already know what it means, it is the perfect product for those who need a smartphone for daily lifestyle without a fuss. Selfie and wefie lovers will also love the front flash for that 'never go dark' photos from front camera.

When we unwrapped the box and found the phone inside, we noticed that there are two colors of the phone, black and white. I happened to be given the white one (yeay!!! My favorite color).

I turn it on and amazed with how bright it is, I can simply adjust the brightness at the shortcut setting within a single swipe from up to downwards.

Everything is like new phones should be, fast response, quick launch and the navigating system is just wonderful.

The design of the product is pretty, the semi rectangular shape with molded sides and the slimness of the phone fits to the tightest jeans.

And like most beauty bloggers, the first thing that we tested is ... the camera :D
I immediately taking some selfies and amazed by how the front camera can take bright images even in dimmed lights. We are at one of the restaurants in Lot 8 SCBD and it was night time, as usual, most restaurants here comes with 'candlelight' brightness, hence photos are usually dark, but with Samsung Galaxy J5, the photos are looking fine.

Btw, something came into my mind when I was playing with the phone for the first time, Samsung is famous for being trendy and cool at the same time, when we watched Korean Drama like in the KBS World, the actor and actresses are usually using product from Samsung, I guess this is also why the brand always comes up with something new, current and updated with the needs of their user.

When we're taking selfies, the camera also equipped with beauty effects which automatically turns regular photo into celebrity like quality. The scale are from 0-8, with 8 becomes the most edited above all. I usually goes for number 4 since it looks pretty and natural at the same time. The front camera is 5MP and the back camera comes with a powerful 13MP and yes, you can see the details of the things you took photos with pleasure. The 8GB data is enough for a day's work of a beauty blogger, I suggest moving them to the computer as soon as possible for a fresh slots for the next day.

I also enjoy the timer, choosing between 2,5 and 10 seconds accordingly the camera also comes in a jiffy with 2x pressing the main button. So when I see something pretty and need immediate freeze frame, just press that main button twice and the camera is launch.

As seen in these photos, I'm taking my Samsung Galaxy J5 everywhere and during multiple events, seems like Samsung Galaxy J5 has been my perfect companion in events and daily lifestyle, I can literally take pictures anytime and anywhere thanks to the capability of the camera, since camera seems to be evolving around me lately >.~  (all bloggers could definitely relate to this) as an image do contain 1000 words as well.
