JAFRA Long Wear Creme Blush and Liquid Matte Lipstick

How is everyone? I hope things are well and we can all have fun with some makeup.

These babies are from Jafra, they are Long Wear Creme Blush in Mauve shade and Liquid Matte Lipstick in Soft Kiss shade.

The box are all in black and white details, clear and simple message of the products.

Let's start by reviewing the cream blush.

The product is as it is, a creamy blush that feels comfortable on the skin. The packaging looks like a powder container, usually cream blush comes in a pot. You can simply use a brush, sponge or fingers in using the product.

There's three available shade Peach, Peony, and on this post, Mauve for Rp.158.000.

As seen in the images, it was pretty pigmented and the color can be bold from the single swipe. Blending it was easy, finger, blush, or sponge, any form will do. And as the form is cream, use it on a wet makeup, before applying any powder. So I'm using liquid foundation, concealer and then this cream with some highlights gel and stick contour.

I'm blending them all (on designated areas) using beauty blender and they'll make my skin appeared like above.

I must say, I can't never go without blush on, it's a must have, must use, must be on the cheeks as it add radiance, tone and live up the mood. I always feels like the blush made me prettier heehee.

Last step is seal everything using a finishing powder. This step helps everything underneath stays put on its place and looking more naturally flawless. The cream blush does last for hours and hours without going away.

The blush is pretty bold in color with demi shine finish. Build-able from the lightest shade to dramatic by layering. Easy to be used, smooth and I have never experience any allergic nor discomfort in using it. I don't smell any distinct scent when using it as well.

Next is their Liquid Matte Lipstick, I know I know there's tons of liquid matte nowadays and you must be wondering why should I choose this one, the things is the shade is one of the reason. Their undertone is neutral to fair skin, hence it is suitable for most skin tone without looking dark. Somehow it's brightening.

There's around 6 shades and each cost Rp.199.000, so in terms of price, it is still in the mid range.

The product comes in a tube, like most liquid lipstick, and dries up pretty fast without giving my lips uncomfortable crackings. The formula have a sweet vanilla cupcake kinda aroma, which is not my favorite, but when it's dry, the scent wears off almost instantly, hence I have no complain.

The color is as it is, when you see the clear packaging, it shows what's inside. The other 5 shade are varied from bright red, deep red, slightly orange, and pinks.

They do last quite good on the lips, as long as I don't eat anything oily, it'll stay. That means, cleaning the liquid matte require cleansing oil to easily break the particles and wiped them off with a cotton.

Regarding the moisturizing effect, I think it's not really significant when I'm using it. It's not terribly drying but it's not really moisturizing as well in terms of like using a balm or some sort since the finish product is still in very much matte.

So there you go, a beauty products from Jafra that are easily and comfortably used, perfect for daily or special occasion plus practical too. The Long Wear Cream Blush can be used for all skin area, like as a eyeshadow, lippies, as well as cheeks. It is a great makeup for a one tone look.

The Liquid Matte is pretty comfortable too and long lasting (as long there's no oil in touch).

Do try these babies, especially the cream blush, I do highly recommend it.

Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos

as a blush addict who doesn't seems to ever get enough of that rosy cheeks or perhaps something that was so pink or a healthy hue. Apparently they also made the complexion appear fresher and younger.

The product comes in a black box and a round shaped blush duo with a small brush too. I prefer my own brush but the small one provided is enough during traveling.

It was said to be blush duo since there's two tones in one container, it helps providing a mode multi-dimension look for the face than a uni-tone.

The blush comes in two variants, and both are two tones.

There's a tad differences between the the two shade, one is more sparks (peach) and the pink is more to demi matte. A combination between these babies provide a more natural healthy blush that glows radiantly.

A blush may be just a blush but somehow it helps creating a more romantic look on me, speaking of romance, this is February, a month of love, time to get lovey doey.

The Body Shop Fresh Sorbet Blush

this is one of the product from The Body Shop I've been trying for quite some time that I even wonder is it still available at The Body Shop stores or it has been discontinued. Many online shops apparently still selling it, but hmm, I don't think it's easily get in Indonesia due to some reasons. They are still available in Thailand thou'.

The products emphasize on fresh sorbet like cheeks that available in 4 shades, Tuscan grape, Florida sunstar, lychee blossom, and Cuban watermelon (mine). They smells so refreshingly fruity and looks so good. The gel sparkly texture and seems like they might do the skin some good.

Below is me try to use the product.

As seen, they don't really blend easily, and you should just use a bit by bit. They do share a common problem like most tint cheeks makeup, apparently they stain the fingers more than the cheeks.

After trying to keep and blending, I have to remove some of the residue and the result is this faint like stain. I've tried to layer it some more, but it's not easy.

It's somewhat like a faint blush. Perfect to be used if you prefer something like this, a makeup that emphasize on the lips, or other than the cheeks.

Overall,

I'm not recommending this product since it's too faint and not easy to blend. The scent and texture may appear nice, smells good and interesting but that's it, those are the only things that interesting about the product.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Paints Blush

who love blushes? I do!!! Oh, blushes are like my weakness, I collect blush in many shades and texture. So when I received one from L'Oreal Paris in a palette, my heart beats faster :D

I know a lot of my looks recently featuring a soft blush, but that's not really me, I like them bold heehee.

However, no matter how 'soft' they are, I tend to put different shade on every look. Warm orange, pink, roses, or soft peach. And they all are now available in a single product from L'Oreal Paris.

They looked great right?! Even as it is. The color is vivid, powdery, easy to be used, and it's all about color. It has a low sparkles, more like matte, so it is as it is, color.

Here are the swatches:

Salem, warm orange, pink and rose (from left to right), they surely look good.

Start with the salem, the image below is me using the tone and somehow it kind give me a chic look. Okay, perhaps due to the whole look and accessories.

Next one is the pink with a bit of warm orange, so yes, they are mixable, the color is beautiful on their own or when mixed between two or three shades.

They gave me that fresh tones. Like I'm in the pink of health. You know, these blushes can be used as eyeshadows too.

And here, the rose, one of the tone which I think to be the most sophisticated, I don't know, I just tend to love any roses shades. From lippies to blushes, to even nail polishes, they just look good on me, or perhaps since I like the tone, I feel happier when using them and it's shown.

MAC Lip Pencil and Powder Blush

From the recent event with MAC with the title of Fruity Juicy these babies are made safely to my home. They are a lip pencil and powder blush.

Look how beautiful they are. The lip pencil looks so sophisticated with the cool deep red tone and the powder blush that comes with a bright orange hue called Bright Response.

The first thing that I've tried is their Lip Pencil in Half Red (soft burgundy).

The formula is smooth, like it was the first thing that caught my response. Other than the exterior of the pencil, they were so good and for sure a high quality product. No wonder the people at MAC were so proud of their goods.

The product is like all MACs, in black, were the tips of the pencil are colored in half red, showing the color inside. The details are written in bright silvery tone and easy to read. The cap can fully closed the pencil so they stay in their moist form, suitable for the lips. Doesn't harden and not dried out.

The intense burgundy shade is beautiful, and the pencil is easily sharpened so I can always have a sharp end for most precised lines.

And I'm using it to fill in my lips too, so the whole lips are using the Lip Pencil as a liner and color too. I love how it felt on my lips.

It's perhaps one of my utmost favorite lip pencil thanks to the shade and texture. Somehow the combination between the Bright Response and Half-Red matches, like a warm autumn air and red colored leafs coming in plus those pumpkins.

I can kept go on and on about the lip pencil, yes, I did fell in love with it from the first use. It's like I finally found my one. A shade that speaks to me. The pigments, boldness, consistency, and even finish is just like what I want. So in every little detail, it's my dream lip pencil. And the color does last very long too, water resistant, it stays until I use a makeup remover or eat something really oily :D

Now, let's discuss about the Powder Blush in Bright Response.

This is their Powder Blush in small, so yes, their normal one is not this small, so do wonders up. This is a smaller version and the shades collection is not as many as the original size, only around 6. Bright Response is one of the 6. MAC are famous with their blushes too, they come in many texture, finish and even ingredients.

The container is rather similar with the original size. The color of the orange is ... orange, it's really is. They are bright, cheerful and somehow I like it. I rarely use a blush in this .. orange. Peach yes, a slightly orange hint on a pink or red blush yes, like in coral, but never this shade of orange, and I'm surprised by the result.

I look different, like a good different, not boring definitely, more to the fresh and delightful, and with the half-red, they are a match for this fall season.

I love how smooth and powdery the texture is, they are so delicate yet strongly pigmented at the same time, like I couldn't believe something that so soft could be this vivid. The hue of the blush is enhancing my fair skin, making them fairer (and the lip pencil too), making me kinda pale, like that Night Before Christmas bride, but not close to that extreme.

Adding a few highlights and the look appear more 3D. The orange blush has a hint of sparkles but I think I need to add some more, hence this look is me adding that sparkles to the cheeks. I look like a fresh squeezed sweet citrus there, it's not my usual style but I enjoyed it very much and kept thinking of using them more often, like adding more themed look. They open up my eyes to more possibilities and new modes.

They might not be a summer look when used together, but I think the blush alone could be.

Overall, a great products not to be missed (kinda another reason for just about anyone to splurge on MAC).

Directions for use

- Cheeks make-up:
Use the applicator to apply a drop onto the cheek and allow the texture to melt in by massaging the skin using circular movements with the fingers. Wash your hands after application.

- Lips make-up:
Apply a drop of Lipcheek to the lips, then spread out the texture using the applicator. If your lips are naturally dry, apply nourishing Superlips My Supertips balm first.

For the vivid rosy cheek I use three layers, seems like they are more on my fingers than on the cheeks, that is the most problem on all lip and cheek stuff, perhaps a clear silicone sponge should do 
the trick for every lip and cheek stain out there in the market. The brush or sponge will also help, but it only do help in not staining the fingers, yet the tools still absorb the tint.

I don't have any problem with the texture, scent and feeling when using the product but I just don't want to waste them, they are so precious. The fresh berries, rose , bergamot are just too good to be true. And the texture of the gel, it's addictive. So slippery, gooey and fun to use.

And below, is me using the product on my lips, a product that appear so glossy and gooey at first will settle into this pink matte finish.

The scent, texture and feeling is stronger on the lips than on my cheeks, I guess the thin skin of the lips can absorb and took more than the skin on the cheeks and moreover I can just pressed my lips together and they'll get even more intense that way.

The product is lovely, my lips are dry, and unlike other lip and cheek tint where they just give color, this tint gel moisten the harden parts of the skin of my lips and made them soft again, so there's no tacky dead skin leftovers on the lips, the appearance of the lips become smooth and filled with fresh pink color.

The applicator is also gentle on the cheeks and on the lips, they are great in sensitive areas too (since the skin on the lips is again, super thin). After dried up, gradually the scent also fades away and will keep being fade until they are gone. The stain however stick far longer than the scent, but they do still runs out eventually, especially after drinking and eating, so do reapply as needed, since the product is compact, I have no problem carrying it on my purse for a quick touch up. Plus, I love keep sniffing on the scent.

I think Guerlain is a brand that looking out for the youngs too, this is one product which I think suits those who loves the recent trends. From the shade, texture to easy to apply made it perfect for first time user. And if you're a mom like me who concerns about quality of the ingredients, for sure, Guerlain got it covered.
