Detox and Slimming with Derma Ministry

Hello lovelies,

during my recent trip to Derma Ministry, the dr. Verna performs some aesthetic procedure on me so I can see immediate results on my face, but she also advises me to slim down by detoxing first. She said that the procedures helps by injection but a proper way to loose some weight still important for a more conclusive result.

Like the double chin and ehm... overall fat heehee, it needs to be well taken care of. The health from within or general health surely will make some effects on my beauty too. My jaws and chin would looks so much better when I'm slimming down, it's not about being skinny or petite, but being energetic, lighter and of course, healthier.

Above are three bottles of Detox Juice and a slimming pills in a bottle. First, I have to detox myself with those three juices for three days, so 1 bottle per day. 1 bottle can be divided into 3-4 times a day by mixing it with plain water with 2/3  water to 1/3 of the juice.

So every 30 ml of the juice, add 60 ml of water.

What's inside the juice? Derma Ministry said that it was fruits that helps burning the fat, lemon, cinnamon and thamarin. So it was quite sour for me, and acidic too on the mouth.

In the slimming pills there's: Vit B1 (tiamin, help turns carb into energy for the body and brain, especially nerve system), B2 (riboflavin, a very important nutrition that helps the body to produce red blood cells, releasing energy from protein), B6 (increasing body metabolism to increase burning process), and B3 (helps to break down protein and fat).

The pills are better to be taken 30 minutes before meal and three times a day.

On the scales that shows my weight here are the result of the detoxing juice.

On the first day my weight is 58.5 kg, so every day for 4 days I kept taking picture of my weight in the morning at a relatively same hour.

I was sooo hungry on day one, it was tough, so Derma Ministry said that we can still eat a little bit of food, mainly fruit they are apple (preferably the green one), papaya, and boiled egg. Veggie like steamed broccoli also allowed. So I munch on those food with steamed purple sweet potatoes too in between when I feel like super hungry.

I guess I love eating.

On the next day, the weight slightly go to the left, looking like 57.5 kg so I was a bit amuse and excited too, I know that if I want to see real result I need to reduce my intake, so boiled eggs only with some fruits for day too alongside with the detox juice.

It was easier said than done, especially when I'm at home, I feel better when I'm in an event or mall where I can put my mind on somewhere else. Since the juice need to be kept cold, I know that I have to keep going back and forth to my home, or using a cold thermos. Having some ice cube also helps so they stay cold when I'm outside my home. The doctor said that the juice contains no preservatives hence I think it is better to keep them cold.

On the second day of detoxing I noticed that my weight is keep reducing to 57 kg, an affirmation of my effort. I noticed that I don't feel lethargic nor less energy, it's just the hunger. Like I'm used to my kids eating habit (like every 3-4 hours) so it kinda hard preparing their meals without having to eat as well.

I have to keep my mind busy but in the same time, I have a household that need me to cook and/or prepare food, that's a real challenge for me, and I rarely go to sleep with an empty stomach, ah that's one of the hardest thing for me as well. so I usually have some boiled eggs 2 hours before bed.

On day three of detoxing, my weight went down to 54.5 kg, it's quite significant right?! From 58.5 kg to 54.5 kg that's 4 kg in three days. I know that's a lot of hungry times but the doctor said it helps reducing the stomach (gastric especially) and I guess it does, it shows on my picture during the event. My waist line is the one that noticeable. I'm happy that the first thing that shows was my belly.

It was around 83-84 cm at first and now it reducing to 76-77 cm, that's a really good thing right?! I read that pot belly is the number one sign of obesity (yikes!). I need to loose more I guess and this time is the slimming pills turn since the detox juice is like a jump start of a good diet habit.

Eating less carb, less fat, less red meat and try to focusing on overall health by eating more fruits and veggies.

That's me on my recent event, I noticed the curves on the waist area is looking much better than before. I hope I can keep up in loosing some weight and thanks to the slimming pills that promote energy from metabolism and everything that has been stuck on me (fat ehm) I'm looking for a lighter and better future ahead.

Derma Ministry Experience

yesterday I went to Derma Ministry. Located in Ancol, Pasir Putih 9 no 9, which  is easily accessible from the Ancol highway exit. Or you can ask @Derma.Ministry on Instagram for bookings, details and appointments since the clinic is pretty much happenings and there's always patients there.

Many questions come into my mind before I went there, like what kind of treatment should I have? Is there needles involved? Would I choose slimming or rejuvenation, something that care for my skin or making changes? I was a bit overwhelmed. Still, after reading reviews and asking around plus understanding that Dr. Verna Gunawan is someone I can talk to via whatsapp, I see how open she is and friendly, it eases me.

During the day of the appointment seems like there's two other patients beside me, so I just wait there. The waiting area is comfortable with black sofas, drinks like water and coffee, with some snacks and candies provided. The room appear clean and comfortable.

Getting here simply search for "Klinik Gunawan" in Google Map and easily located as it is, it was pretty precise. I have no problem locating the clinic and the place itself is pretty spacious.

Inside are information on what kind of treatments available here, and it was pretty complete from face to body. The doctor have products that is famous in Indonesia and she also add more from Korea and other part of the world. Derma Ministry also develop their own products (skincare), detox juice and slimming capsules.

Nowadays, Botox V-Shape, Nose Filler, or treatments that made the skin glow and heals from scars are very famous, Derma Ministry have those and eyebrow embroidery too. One of the treatment I see is Salmon DNA that heals, brighten and gives the skin a second chance within 2 treatments the results are significant.

Then, it's my turn to meet the doctor, oh she is so slim and pretty. Her hands are so delicate and she checked on me thoroughly. I want slimmer face for sure, but don't really understand the procedure, so she suggest Meso Double Chin, Jaw Botox, and Chin Filler. Those treatments help shaping my facial feature so I look more define instead of plain round (as in chubby).

I said I do have low tolerance against pain and she said not to worry, apparently, she use special needle and method to reduce pain by far. I also asked about whether there's down time and side effects, she said so far it was pretty minimal, most of the patients experience none and even there's a minor feeling after the chin filler, she will give her patients an over the counter painkiller.

After making sure all my concerns are answered we when to the treatment area which is sterilized, so we have to leave our shoes behind. My heart was beating so fast heehee, I can't hide my either excitement or being so nervous. Many things run through my mind and most of them is the needles.

The spacious room is somewhat soothing, the decoration and huge window in front help my mind to think about something else. While I was getting ready, the doctor start by cleansing and sanitizing the skin.

My treatment starts with Chin Filler, after applying anesthetic cream, the doctor gently insert the filler, hmm, as seen below, my face is all tense, yet, I don't feel the pain, it was like an ant bite me and that's it. No pain that leaves me saying beauty is pain or whatever, it was very tolerable, she is genuine in saying she order a special needle so the pain could be minimal. It was so minimum that I kinda in disbelief, I was in my period too and usually far more sensitive, yet yesterday, the whole chin filler (1 point), jaw botox (4 points) and meso double chin (10 points), where each points means 1 insertion of the needles, I feel fine all 15 of them.

She have several methods from special needles, cooling, to creams and they worked!

Process to process went on smoothly, when she shaped the chin, the result is obvious within minutes where other areas from botox and meso double chin could take around 3-5 days for the final results. She also advises me to do detoxing and slimming by taking their detox juice and slimming pills (will share with you the review soon ya).

The detox juice is a 3 days program while the slimming pills should be taken 3 times a day to boost metabolism and energy. Aside from the slimming program, the doctor also handed me their skincare, from cleanser, serum, day and night creams. I will also share about them on my blog after trying.

Shaping the chin filler.

After the chin filler is jaw botox on both side of the jaw to help with the slimming effect or known also as v shape. Korean people are all about V shape, they even have that 'perfect' ratio on how a face should be.

Let's go back to the pictures below, the doctor was right, by adding a 'chin' on me (heehee), it add feature to my face, so my face appear longer instead of 'just round'. Hence, give the impression of a slimmer look.

Above is the images in natural makeup and my usual makeup below. The chin does look so much better, right?! It pulls the attention for a heart shaped face map which I love. I hope I can maintain the condition by eating better diet too.

I will push myself for the detoxing and slimming program as the doctor also said, it will help my feature too, my face will be more defined as well if I'm slimmer. It's not for beauty only, but health too, too much fat as in obesity is never a good thing, I have to take care myself better and the motivation given by doctor Verna Gunawan is what I need.

 a week ago, I went to Oya Clinic and get myself one of their most famous treatment, Velashape III.

I arrived at the clinic around 11 am and ready for my treatment. The clinic is located at PIK area and it's the second brand from the one at Menteng. Everything is dressed in white and the layout is luxurious.

First, I have to change into their wardrobe, alongside with the provided disposable panty and bra. Since the treated area is belly, and there's cream involved, the bra and panties surely get bits of it.

The therapist will clean everything as well after, but still, it is best that everything is kept as clean as it is as most customer will have another activities later on.

Above is the machine, Velashape III. It looks pretty and detailed.

As I am ready, the therapist measure my belly in cm before the treatment and later after on. I felt a bit nervous as I have low tolerance about pain, but she assured me she will make sure there are minimum involved as the machine do suck and gave heat (as it helps melts the fat).

This is what it's look like, on top it kinda like an iron but inside there's some metal roller. The wand sucked the skin and the roller seems to be helps breaking the fat. There's heat but very much comfortable.

They don't put Oya's special cream, just some lotion to help the roller to rolls better (I guest), and the feeling of overall treatment is comfortable. I felt very much happy about it. On some areas like near the bones, there's a bit more pressure and slightly painful, however, on areas like belly where there's many fat :D it was really good. Like I'm getting a good workout without doing anything.

At first, I thought it was just warm, but when I get up and move to my back, the belly touches the skin on my hands and it felt hot, the surface felt hot without any pain.

Continue to the back side, so the treatment went all over the belly, waist and back of the belly, so it's mid part all over. This is the part where I think to be less comfortable than the front, since perhaps it has less fat.

I was also told that the effect would be days. The heat itself last a day and the tightening and firming is continuing. I love this kind of treatment and wish I can have some more, 3 or 4 of these treatments for permanent effects. Each treatment cost around Rp. 2.500.000 and there's a 10% discount at the moment.

I lost around 3 cm that day and felt really good. Like perhaps I just did some sit ups and mid body workout. Plus some sauna and steams for the extra heat, massages done for firming and so on, so it's pretty much hours of exercise and treatments in one. 2 hours went by so quick and I'm happy about the treatment, I recommend anyone who have problems with cellulite, fats and firming to try the treatment at least once.

Oya Clinic Body Shaping 2nd Treatment

I'm back with another Body Shaping Treatment at Oya Clinic. This time, I'm trying on the same treatment but in different branch, it's in their main one in Menteng area.

The location is near many famous restaurants and the designs inside the clinic is gorgeous.

After arriving, within 5 minutes my room is ready. Hmm, it's not as clean as usual, there's still some leftovers from the previous client on the open trash can with items for private part. I think they could be better than this, on my other visits it was fine and clean.

After undressing and get into a disposable pants and bra, the treatment begin with something for lymphatic, a machine suck the sides of my neck, it's like suction cups used in TCM. It felt comfortable, I wish the therapist helps with my shoulders too >.<

Soon after that, continuing using a warm to hot metal plate that rubbed all over the area. We can choose an area per treatment. The therapist said, usually it took around 10 treatments for a significant effect.... or at least for someone like me haha.

The Body Shaping treatment at Menteng branch is indeed more comfortable, no electric feeling on this part, it was just warm with a bit of heat at some point, I hope it melts away all my fat.

The therapist seems to be working hard melting my fats, hmm 5 kg of overweight is there, do melts them away please, I want them all gone, disappear and made me slim :D

 The therapist told me that the effectiveness also lays on the hands of those who do the treatment, so it's not just about the machine, the therapist must know which part to do it more and which is less. So even on one area of tummy, there are several areas from upper, lower, sides and back too. Mine is focusing on the front, upper side to be exact.

And then, it's that buzzing time, the part where my tummy is wrapped on special cream and the rubbery plates that felt so cold (since the previous part is warm to hot), and it was 'plastered' tight to my tummy all around the area.

This is the toning part where it helps strengthening the muscle, creating the same vibration as when we're exercising to build the firmness. This is the part where every part of the treatment combine, after being melts, it toned and firmed. This is why one treatment is equal with hours in the gym where we need to warm up, cardio and build the muscle.

And the final part is sucking again on some parts of the tummy. It felt somewhat pain on the lower tummy where the skin is loose after pregnancy. So the therapist move it up above, so communicating with the therapist all the way through the treatment is important to making sure it was effective and convenient at the same time.

And here it is, the final result, there are no redness, no after care needed, the skin feels comfortable and toned. It helps building up my body even after the treatment, the doctor also did told me how the treatment goes, it will continue working even after treatment.

What about the measurement? I lost 5 cm that day, definitely an improvement I like to have. Now I just need to keep up with continuing exercise, proper diet and more of these treatments please.

a few days ago, I went to Oya Clinic again, and this time it's for their Body Shaping Treatment.

The treatment is emphasizing on burning the fats, loosen the cellulite, stimulating the muscle, firming, and yes, in shorts, slimming too. So it's like an all in one treatment for someone ... like me.

Being a mom of two, travels a lot, loves food, and a full time beauty blogger too, means I do have less time to pamper myself and sometime exercise too. I can feel the muscle tightening and feels like having spasm. It was not painful at all.

For me, Body Shaping treatment involves many different techniques and does visibly help shaping the body. The first section that involves sucking and heat was not really comfortable for me, it felt pain but not completely painful, perhaps since I do came during my period. Turns out, it was not advisable nor recommended by Oya Clinic to do one during a period since the skin is far more sensitive. I'll do take a note and will come on other time for my next visit.

As seen below, the area become red and there's a few marks. They all subsiding within a day and the mark is reduced on the next day, and it'll be gone on the second day after the treatment.

The best part is, I loss 3 cm within a single treatment and the doctor at Oya Clinic told me that the treatment doesn't stop there, it'll keep firming, reducing body fat and strengthening the muscle for the next couple of days. So there's a continuous effects. I know for sure and like mentioned above, it need efforts too for a better improvements. Better diets and exercise helps, so they all works simultaneously with the treatment. It made maximum impact.

As for me and my always on the go lifestyle, this shall do for now. A treatment that less than 2 hours which helps me getting on that a one size smaller dress perfect for an event in the weekend.

This is the small tube which last only around a week when I use the white cream on daily basis at my tummy and thighs. I use around coin size on each areas. Massage them like described in their details, in circular motion, the product easily absorbed on the skin and the feeling is comfortable. No greasy, sticky, nor residue on the skin, just soft and silky.

The black tube is cute and small, the full size is 100 ml and perhaps can last for more than a month.

Upon usage the white lotion has this mild tingling and cooling feeling on the skin. I've tried many products that are similar, it has a burning sensation and really uncomfortable to be used, plus we can't even touch anyone in the house, especially kids since we don't want them getting that burning sensation. Soon the first treatment begun. Lipocontour to the rescue. The part that I choose is my upper arms. They are not really have a lot of fat, but due to lack of exercise, they are sagging alright...compared to when I'm in my 20's. So I think I choose these parts as well since I've done some on my tummy and thighs.

It was warm and kinda like a massage using a somewhat medium size roller.

It glides on the skin and with a certain pressure. It use a gel to become a lubricant, the same gel used for USG and as long as there's gel the metal wont feel so hot on the skin. Once the gel is out, the metal felt so hot and sting a bit.

One upper arm took around 20 minutes, so the total is around 40 minutes or so.

Before and after the treatment, my upper arms are measured. I lost around 1,5 cm each side.

After the gel is prepared and I was tucked in those stripes. It has to be firm enough but not to tight, it was comfortable.

And then a hot blanket is wrapped around me and the aircon is turn off. They gave me TV with the remote to help me get by. It was around 60 minutes.

It was hot and I'm sweating furiously. Like I'm in the gym and getting some hardcore exercise. The vibrating is bearable and so does the heat. I'm pretty much enjoying the treatment.

After the treatment, I felt like I just got my self a good exercise. Energized and ready for the day.

It's a good thing they provide a shower room so I can refreshed my self after all the sweats has reduced.
