Benefit Advent Calendar

Hello everybody!!

This is gonna be a very long post, 24 products all at once. Babies from Benefit Advent Calendar.

-*-

A candy coated countdown to Christmas, from the 1st one to day 24. The box is like a big book that feels like a wonderful gifts is inside, it is indeed. For quite some time, I've been using products from Benefit Cosmetics and I want to try them all, these minis is perfect, I can try them without the commitments of full size items (which ain't cheap either).

-*-

The details of each items are shown in the back of the box (fiuhh, that's a lot).

-*-

Not necessarily in order (or perhaps it is) since I forgot which is which heehee.

Here they are:
1.
A paper clip (boooooooo) hmm, not exactly what I want in mind but I do hope for a better day tomorrow (as in day from the calendar).

-*-

2.
Second day, hooray!!! Ultra Plush Lip Gloss A-Lister that add oomph! to the lips. It add volume and gloss in the same time for that luscious lips.

-*-

3.
Next is They're Real! Woohoooo!!! The mascara that has been adding some length and volume to the lashes. Unfortunately, it is not really waterproof, more like water resistant and a bit waterproof.

-*-

4.
Next is Stay Don't Stray, an base for the eye or perhaps more familiar as an eye primer. It made eyeshadow last longer and the colors become more vivid as well.

-*-

5.
And then, It's Potent! Eye Cream. The one that I think a bit too creamy for our weather.

-*-

The eye cream is similar to the moisturizer, which is also available in this package (later on you'll see).

6.
Continuing the next day is The Porefessional.

A pore reducing complex to be used after moisturizer, it made the skin looks like it's been going through some 'soft focus' camera effect.

-*-

The pores become small and far less visible, redness also fading and the good news is that the product can be layered with another liquid makeup afterwards. Some products in the same category from different brand will noodles when used with other liquid makeup afterwards.

-*-

7.
Next is a hair tie (another boooooo), it's pretty but still not what I want to see and use from Benefit Cosmetics.

-*-

8.
And same goes with the Beauty Sticky Notes ( I can feel tears coming down my cheeks). The moods lifted up when I see Ultra Plush Dandelion (hooray!!!) but another lip gloss?!

-*-

9.
I wonder when can I see the tints (yes, we'll get there later). The Ultra Plush Dandelion made the lips looks so smooth and silky, it is in a coral color, suitable for almost all skin tone and that creamy gel made the lips appear better.

-*-

10.
Stay Flawless, I use it like an eraser on my skin, a base that provide long lasting effect for the makeup used after that. Still a loose powder is needed during touch ups.

-*-

11.
And here's the Benetint, hooray!!! And it kinda coloring my fingers more than my lip and cheek area. On the lips, it felt a bit uncomfortable, like sensitive and a bit itch. Is it just me?

-*-

12.
Hello Total Moisture Facial Cream, this one is almost finished, which means I've been using it diligently and it works well with any serum I have. The creamy moisturizer provide hydration in a rich texture yet melts on the skin.

-*-

13.
Ah, my favorite. PosieTint, I even found it better then the Benetint, the color is more visible and I could never resist a cotton candy tone.

-*-

14.
Another downfall afterwards, a hair band, do I expect all beauty products inside the box from Benefit Cosmetics? Yes, of course, like I'm expecting all accessories from an accessories shop that its.

-*-

15.
Ooh La Lift, to be used under the eye for an instant boosting effect, can also be used as a highlighter for the nose bridge and upper cheeks after using foundation.

-*-

16.
Or High Beam for that nose bridge, upper cheeks area for a more beaming effect. Like a glistening radiance.

-*-

17.
Yes, Laughter is the Best Cosmetic said a Doodle Pad, like Benefit Cosmetics it is. And yes, I'm being sarcastic as why it is another diversion from the cosmetic.

-*-

18.
That Gal, ahhh, I'm a big fan of That Gal and has been using it forever. It made the skin looks luminously beautiful, like a perfect hint of soft pink radiance onto the skin, adding that youthful persona into the whole complexion. I apply it liberally all over for that lovely base.

-*-

19.
A polkadot hair tie >.<.

-*-

20.
Ultra Plush Lip Gloss Fauxmance, ooohhh this is good. It add more and more pout to the lips. Definitely bring sexy back.

-*-

21.

Watt's Up, another 'highlighter' from Benefit Cosmentic, comes in a crayon like texture but blends well on the skin.

Want to see what's inside the product? I'll share more images later on at my instagram account @carnellin. For now let me show you the swatches of some of the products.

-*-

They look pretty, right?!

-*-

22.
Let's continue with BadGal Lash, A mascara that create long lashes instantly and yes, still smudge a bit on me.

-*-

23.

Chachatint.

A tint in coral-orange hue for those who are looking for a lip and cheek tint in a not so common trend....nowadays. But I think back in the old days, everyone is using this kind of tone as a blush.

-*-

24.

Haha, if we can't make it let's Fakeup, a concealer that seal imperfections on a non flat areas to appear finer and smoother.

-*-

That's it!! All 24 of them and I'll make more updates on my instagram when I'm using them and see the effects on me. Below is when I'm using That Gal, Fake Up, Ooh La Lift, Watt's Up, Benetint, Ultra Plush Lip Gloss Fauxmance and BadGal Lash.

-*-

I've used them in many occasions and by mix and match each products I can get different results.

Below is the stain on my finger from Posietint.

-*-

Beside the Posietint, I'm also useing Porefessional, Dandelion, Stay Flawless, High Beam, and They're Real.

-*-

They do look great altogether isn't it?! I love how their primer and makeup base made the skin looks super duper good. I can simply layer them one by one for a desired effect and function accordingly.

-*-

Last but not least, the full collection of Benefit Cosmetic Advent Calendar 2014.

-*-

Love it!!!

Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner

Hello everyone,

I guess by this point everyone already heard about the amazing product from Benefit called They're Real! Push-Up Liner. This lash hugging gel liner pen is famous for being so friendly to the lashes, instead of being a frenemies to the lashes, they hugged them tightly and soar. Really?

Before we're going to that point let's read some details from http://www.benefitcosmetics.com.

-*-

Why we love it!

It’s the FIRST EVER lash-hugging gel liner in a pen! This matte black gel formula won’t smudge, budge or dry out, and the innovative soft AccuFlex™ Tip hugs your lashline from corner to corner. The closer the line, the bigger the eye!

24-hour* & waterproof
*Instrumental test on 19 panelists

91% said it was longwearing*
88% said it hugged the lashline*
84% said eyes looked visibly larger*
*Results observed in a consumer panel survey on 32 women after 2 weeks

How to apply

For first-time use
To prep the pen, remove the AccuFlex™ tip protector & discard. Twist base until gel appears on tip. Wipe off excess.

For daily use
Wipe leftover gel off AccuFlex™ tip before each use to get fresh liner every time. Slowly twist base until a tiny amount of gel appears on tip. Rest the tip on the base of your lashes and guide along your lashline from either the inner or outer corner. The angled AccuFlex™ tip works both ways.

Details

1.4 g Net wt. 0.04 oz.

Beauty tip

Double the REAL! Wear they’re real! push-up liner and they’re real! mascara together for beyond longer lashes AND bigger-looking eyes.

-*-

All the information provided on the packaging is enough and convincing, so I did my share and try it. My first impression is the tip. Look at that!

-*-

It is so flexible and I must say, as an eyeliner, it felt so comfortable to be used #kickingthosesharppencils. I really impressed on their ideas in making this AccuFlex. Oh yes, I'm actually a big fan of Benefit since they are first arrived in Singapore back then when I'm still living there. I love the names of the products, the cuteness, wittiness, and so lady like at the same time. I meant lady in the 50's whose like doing pin ups, so perky and gazilion miles away from boring.

-*-

Now, back to the product, look at the details of the tip, it's not like any other eyeliner, no brush, just that rubbery like edge with tiny hole in the middle for the eyeliner to come up. And almost every time I want to use it, I pre-clean the tip, as it is waterproof, the product will harden and we need the fresh one to come out without anything blocking its way.

-*-

I usually use a tissue and pressing here and there making sure the inside also clean, and again, look how flexible it is  ^__^

-*-

After a few twist on the end part of the pen, the fresh liner comes out, here's how it is. It's not as 'liquid' as a liquid eyeliner, it's not as 'creamy' as an eyeliners in pots, it's like as 'crayony' as crayon eyeliner does, and not as dry as pencil eyeliner is. To be precised it is more like a liquid crayon....does it make any sense? But it is. The gel is just like that, and it dries up almost instantly, which make using They're Real! Push-Up Liner so wonderful, no fan, no holding the eyes in the weird position so we wont blink is needed.

-*-

And does it waterproof?

Yup, it is. The lines are made to stay. Once set it set pretty well. It is also smudge resistant, suitable for long wear and does feel suitable for those areas on the lashes, I do meant directly on the lashes.

But, still, a product has its limit, if you're someone like me, very active, in terms of activity and very active glands ....ehm sweat gland near the area where the liners are, it does become flaky and comes off when the sweats and oils join forces in fighting the gel. So I'm probably those 9 percent of people who disagree in long wearing.

Nevertheless, if you're a fine gal, who sweat less than me, or have non oily lids or perhaps less oily lids than me, you should be very happy, as this is would be that perfect product for you. Am I refusing to use it again? Nope! It is still one of the best thing I ever try and will keep on using it as it does have a resistant power which are better than many other brand.

Tips: If you happen to have a sweaty oily lids like mine, no worries, here's a thing that you can do, before applying the eyeliner, dust just a bit of loose powder or fine baby powder on the lids, just a sprinkle dust will do, you can use cotton but for precision. Remove the excess using a very fine brush.

Those dust powder will help absorbing the sweat and oils so the liners can stay on longer. Do be careful in dusting, as it is so close to the eyes. And don't use to much as you never want those gel to become a chunk-like consistency on your lids.

Bottomline,

a great product not to be missed.

You may check Benefit Cosmetics website for ideas on how to make the eyes bigger and other inspirational shape of eyeliners. I'll also will make mine at my instagram account @c13v3rgirl.

Thank you ClozetteID and Benefit Cosmetics Indonesia.

Indonesian Beauty Blogger March 2013 Make Up Challenge

Hello lovelies,

Indonesian Beauty Blogger March 2013 is officially started today ^__^

Created a look like a dazzling Marilyn and win prizes from The Balm, a cosmetic brand from San Fransisco which recently landed in Indonesia.

-*-

Some of the products used in this tutorial are courtesy of The Balm and will help me creating a look that hopefully as mesmerizing as Ms. Monroe herself.

-*-

Here are the three items, Balms Away, the eye makeup remover, Shady lady, an eye shadow with a whole lotta attitude, and Mary Lou Manizer, a highlighter / luminizer that want to get all the attention she can get.

I'll share Balms Away review on a next post and two makeups here ^__^

-*-

It's gonna be an exciting next post ^__--

-*-

Let's start the step to step guide of me trying to create a glimpse of Marilyn's iconic look.

Start with a bare face.

-*-

Boi-ing, an industrial strength concealer from Benefit to cover large pores, under eye, fine lines and other imperfection.

-*-

Shiseido Lifting Foundation shade I 00, by fingers, dot a few spots on 5 parts and blend away. Covering all the uneven skin tone and creating a base for the skin. Wait for a good 5 minutes before the next step, so the foundation have time to sets in.

-*-

Followed by a compact powder by Estee Lauder.

-*-

I use a foundation brush for CyberWhite EX Extra Brightening Powder Makeup. Make sure the skin is completely dry and the foundation has set before this powder or it will make some blotchy effect.

-*-

Then a Loose Powder from Teint Miracle series from Lancome, a very beautiful light powder that gives the skin a luminous effect with a mild glistening aura.

-*-

On some part Touche Eclat from Yves Saint Laurent is added, then blend with fingers.

-*-

Anna Sui Eyebrow Color Compact is used for my brow in shade 03. Simple, so easy to use and looks natural.

Don't forget to tidy up the brows first.

-*-

I use a base for eyeshadow using Kate eye shadow in PU-1 inspired by this look from Marilyn,

-*-

She looks stunningly beautiful.

-*-

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner for that cat eye look or at least a winged, but I need something more, the lashes.

-*-

D'Eyeko is used, and just happen to be the only lashes I have that able to create a very sexy cat eyed lashes.

Tips of using D'Eyeko that I get from Lizzie, use from the outer side to the inner, and it works!

-*-

A subtle touch of a Cheeky Glow, for that light blushing touch from Maybelline.

-*-

I need a shadow that really perk up the eyes and increase the effect of the sexy lashes, Shady Lady is here.

-*-

Comes in 10 gorgeous shades that's bold and brave.

-*-

There's some tiny sparkles, I see they have some shades that's not available in other cosmetic brands and unique too.
The selling price is Rp.150.000.

-*-

Same goes with Mary Lou Manizer, which I think a must added collection to any beauty pouch. Rp.280.000.

I love this highlighter as it draw attention right through it and exactly where you want the attention to be. Easily blend and watch out, you may in for a spotlight \^0^/

-*-

Then, it's the lips, I tried making them thin but decided to make it bold and so red and seductive,
Maybelline Red Porcelain, I love this lipstick, like a red leather just landed and rule.

-*-

No Marilyn look would be complete without that famous black dot, right below her left cheek.

-*-

Using the Hyper Sharp Liner again and voila!

I want to go all out with a blonde wig, but try imagining Marilyn in a brunette.

-*-

Using my Philips are a curler, a wave that says, hello, I'm here.

-*-

Get a help from L'Oreal Professionnel Bounce Whip.

-*-

Divide the hair section by section and tongs on! Change my clothes into something with vintage tag label, and I'm ready!

-*-

How do I look?
