W~III Skincare

Hello lovelies,

those who are following me on instagram or youtube, must have known about my recent love, it's W~III Skincare from Taiwan. Please do watch the video at my youtube channel (here) before continue reading the post. You'll see the texture as well.

On the video, I'll share with you two products I've received and in this post it will be three, Night Cream, Essence (or serum) and Day Cream. I've been using the Night Cream and Essence since perhaps two weeks before receiving the Day Cream, and now, I'm using them continuing the routine.

Look at the packaging, they look gorgeous, right?! Some even say the container itself is luxurious. I do agree, and the one that made me interested in the products even more, is what's in it.

Let's start with the details of the essence or serum.

I thought I already learn a lot when I was given a product knowledge but I understand even more when I met them, and one more good news, W~III will open their first counter soon in Jakarta.

Nerd alert, this is for those who really want to know the research behind W~III Skincare, and I must say, it does contain a handful of difficult words, don't be embarrassed, do google up. I really feel the need showing you this since, for me, it's ground breaking and mind blowing too. Like they did a pretty serious stuff in finding the right ingredients and formula for that highly effective skincare that made any other skincare in the market (no matter how pricey they are) looks less beneficial.

And please do compare W~III with other high quality skincare on its class, and not that mass produce stuffs that really bad for your skin where it is filled with bad chemicals and water only.

β-glucans are notable for their ability to modulate the immune system. They work in an incredibly powerful way by stimulating the activity of

macrophages, which are versatile immune cells that ingest and demolish invading pathogens. As they do so, they stimulate other immune cells

to attack. Macrophages also release cytokines, chemicals that when secreted enable the immune cells to communicate with one another. In

addition, beta glucans stimulate lethal white blood cells that bind to tumors or viruses, and release chemicals to destroy it. Not surprisingly

then, they turn out to be useful antioxidants. One study found that yeast-derived beta-glucan could reduce free radical formation in vitro.

For ages, it was believed that the large molecular structure of beta glutens would prevent them from effectively penetrating the skin. This all

changed a few years ago with a study published in International Journal of Cosmetic Science. The results showed that beta-glucan, “despite its

large molecular size, deeply penetrated the skin into the epidermis and dermis.” The same team tested 27 people to evaluate the effects of

beta-glucan on facial fine lines and wrinkles. After 8 weeks, there was “a significant reduction of wrinkle depth and height, and overall

roughness.”

So after the penetration issue was resolved, a team at the University of Alberta discovered how. It seems that the beta glucan enters the skin

the same way that water penetrates a brick wall. “It does not go through the brick, it goes through the concrete binding the bricks together,”

explained the lead scientist. “As a result of our study, we now know that glucan works through the inter-cellular lipid matrix, or the cells’

cement, to enter the lower levels of the skin. Of medical significance is the fact that beta glucan creams promote wound healing and reduction

in scaring following surgical procedures.”

Other researchers believe that beta glucan stimulates collagen, possibly by inducing the release of immune/inflammatory mediators, such as

IL-1 and NFkB.

Need me to sum it up?
Basically, the ingredients help healing, build immune, strong antioxidant, reduce scar in a significant way (obvious to the naked eye), reduce wrinkle and lines too, and many more. And in my case, the first visible sign is the pores, they literally shrunk to a soft and smooth appearance.

Above is the serum, I put some in a small bowl and the below image are is for Day Cream (lighter blue with gel like consistency) and Night Cream, slightly purplish with richer cream like texture that easily drank by the skin.

All of their products contain no colorant, so the 'blue-ness' are from the natural ingredients with high concentrate and really good for the skin.

I love their smell, it's so faint and floral. Signs of using natural ingredients for sure. All of them, from the essence, day and night cream works hand in hand in creating a better skin for me. Even thou' their texture is really light (those with normal to oily skin can enjoy), dry skin like mine is happy also. It is enough. I can add another hydrating emulsion when needed but these three is a great anti aging formula that I can't even compare.

Trust me when I said that I've tried so many skincare in the market, from the luxurious to mediocre, and again, I want to speak in the level that is somewhat equal with W~III and it's superb.

I'm almost 40 years old, hence I know the real issues of aging. I'm living it, and I've been using anti aging products before reaching 25, almost all the high end brands in the market has landed on my skin, I know their texture, scents, they effectiveness and some even faults too. I can say that W~III Skincare, actually works, they made differences.

I used to have normal skin in my 20's and change to dry and sensitive, it's normal for a skin to change perspective and changing products according to the skin's need and W~III filled the skin with the needs I am right now. Lines, some large pores, some sensitiveness, dehydration, uneven skin tone to some dark spots.

Using W~III Skincare (especially the Night Cream and Essence) for around 3 weeks now, I can see that the skin appear healthier in terms of fading spot, smaller pores as mentioned above that made my skin appear smoother, to help in even out the skin tone. The fine lines near the eyes are definitely reducing, so does some other fine lines. The laughing lines are reducing too, and I hope it'll keep reducing so my skin appear younger and healthier.

The Essence is powerful yet so light and comfortable, the Day Cream is like a cool refreshing gel that hydrates and perfect for the day, and the Night Cream replenish the skin even more when we asleep, none of them have heavy texture, none of them is greasy, all of them are so easy to be used and show amazing result.

NUVE Skincare

these are NUVE Skincare that I happen to receive from Derma Ministry. They consist of foaming facial wash that dr. Verna using herself with serum that she loves as it promotes hydration and day with night creams in separate container.

All dressed in fancy white and black details.

I've tried to find some details online, apparently they are live on instagram at Nuve Skincare and website at www.nuveskincare.com.

Let's start with their Glowing Serum

The texture is like a beautiful runny gel that either thin nor thick, it's so comfortable and pleasant. There's definitely a scent, subtle thou', not too obvious.

Then, it's the Glowing Day Cream.

Nuve Day Cream, cream pagi dengan SPF 30 untuk MELINDUNGI kulit dari efek buruk sinar UV seperti kemerahan karna paparan sinar matahari dan noda-noda gelap.

Which one is it? It's the one in powdery white formula, where the Glowing Night Cream is slightly more translucent.

The Day Cream have an SPF hence I figure a slightly white cast. So do notice that before using.

The good news is also the SPF which give a proper protection during day time, and it is in sync with their 'glowing' theme, a brighter skin does need protection from the sun by preventing darkness.

The Night Cream helps to push down the melanin since sometime they do overreact and causing dark spots. By using the cream that have a gel texture, the skin feels moisturized and comfortable on night, especially when using the serum right before, it boosted up the hydration.

I do have some doubts since the ingredients still have parabens and silicone too, but dr. Verna Gunawan assured me by providing data and reasonable explanation on how silicone and parabens in low dose (of course) only acts as a preservative and used in a safe dose. I understand it is up to one's opinion on the subject. So if you look into ingredients list all over the world, so far only European countries that prohibited parabens in their cosmetics products (including skincare).

Remember, the ones that listed on the farther down there is the least amount inside a product, so I think she is telling the truth that the parabens are far down there, only to protects the natural ingredients from going bad, like mold, bacteria, and germs.

Now, let's continue with their cleansing foam. The white creamy gel like texture that easily bubbles up and gives the skin that perfectly made foam. Whenever I'm using a foam net with it, they'll bubbles abundantly and can create that no drop foam that was dense enough, tiny enough, and can goes into the pores. The clean feeling it made is also comfortable, not dry squeaky clean that we want to avoid.

The doctor told me that she have dry skin as well, but this cleansing foam is something she can use, again, trusting her was the reason I want to try the cleansing foam. The cleansing foam is from dr. Verna Gunawan. So it's not available at Nuve Skincare ya.

One thing I want to add about their serum is that I can use it as a skincare routine (after cleansing and toner, right before moisturizer) and as a makeup booster. Add a drop with a foundation and they'll add this consistency which made the skin appear healthier and more natural.

The finish is a dewy and happy skin.

Use the trio as a complete skincare routine from Nuve Skincare on daily basis to see results. As the product comes in small packaging, I think they last around 2 weeks when used every day.

I'm also using the serum to help my stretchmarks, it helps soothing the skin and generate healing as well.

Tony Moly Magic Food Golden Mushroom Sleeping Pack

this is the final post for Tony Moly Magic Food Mushroom series. I've blog about Strawberry Mushroom Sugar Scrub, Choco Mushroom Cream Pore Pack and now, the Golden Mushroom Sleeping Mask.

By believing the power and wonderful things on mushroom like matsutake, shiitake and chaga, Tony Moly made these babies. They are so cute and adorable. The top of the jar are the mushroom cap, simply twist them open and there's a safety plastic lid, just remove it and use the product inside.

They are sold in three when I purchased them on a cruise ship, but I think it is possible to buy them one by one as that's how I saw on their official website.

What does this sleeping mask actually do? Well, sleeping mask is just a name, it's actually a night cream, something you can use as a night time routine and not necessarily a mask, since one brand made it (the title sleeping mask) famous, many Korean brand did the same, put the title 'sleeping mask'.

Apply the product on a clean skin, best to be used after scrub and choco mask.

Exfoliate, remove impurities and shrink pores (sounds good rite) and then give the skin ample hydration and nourishment from the Golden Mushroom.

The product is a yellowish cream, feels soft and the creaminess is slightly addictive. It's a perfect cream for massaging the skin. The cream itself I think works well even without being massaged but the skin will react better after being pampered. Massage relaxes the skin and help the circulation on the lower level of the epidermis, the skin sometime will appear more fresh and alive.

When used together, these three cute mushrooms works hand in hand in preparing the skin, from cleansing, clearing, and even made the pores ready for nourishment to finally the massaging effect that usually firming and tone the skin.

It's a good product, they are not complete, we can still need toner/softener and serums in between but generally can be added according to the age and skin condition of each  person.

What I also like about the mushrooms is that they don't have overwhelming scent, the strawberry scrub smells juicy and fresh, the choco like cocoa infused, and the golden mushroom is mild and soft in scent. A skincare that is too fragrant is not really good, especially when the scent is artificial, so perhaps, these Magic Food Mushrooms are considered good.

The scrub can be used on weekly basis for being mild, the choco cream pore pack 1-2 a week and the sleeping pack can be used more often.

Overall,

they are a must try products that doesn't just  come in cute packaging but function well too.

IOMA Generous Day and Night Cream

finally, I'm back in reviewing beauty products, it felt so good in doing so. It's kinda my thing, especially when it's about skincare and I love skincare. I have a closet fills with skincare. I do collects them, like I want to try almost every (good) skincare out there.

  There you go, seems like they are a very impressive pair isn't it, and they do.
  
  The unique gel cream formula is white (both) and feels so good on the skin.
  
  Let's start with the Day Cream which like a deep exotic white floral that some may like or dislike it at the same time. For me, it's a bit like medicinal in terms of scent but I'm not really worry about it since it goes away like 30 minutes or so, or perhaps I get used to it pretty fast.
  
  I'm focusing on the fact that it felt fresh and comfortable on the skin. During day time, we always look for that moisturizer that hydrates, firming, yet made the skin still feels light and comfortable all day long, well, for me, this is the moisturizer I've been looking for.
  
  It's hydrating enough and at the same time, provide that ample vitality on my skin, like they stay looking good. No dullness nor looking like I'm exhausted. It's been tough lately, and my skin stays perky, I think one of the reason in this awesome day cream.
  
  And the Night one is a biggy too. It has the similar scent but the texture might feels gel-ier (not even a word but you get what I meant). It has more bounciness than the day cream, feels sticky for like 2 seconds and it turns the skin instantly into this moist, supple, mochi-like skin that feels ultra soft and very comfortable. Using it like I've been using a hydro gel mask on my face all night long and the gel infiltrating my skin creating this gel barrier or a thin film that providing long lasting plumpness to my dry skin. And it does last, sleeping for the next 8 (or 10 hours when I'm lucky) I woke up feeling so good for my skin. Like I've done something right.
  
  I imagine the serum would be a total winner too, hopefully someday I can try the whole set.
  
  For now, let's just say I'm very happy in these babies, once again IOMA has made me feel ultra happy. My skin looking fine day and night with that added touch of regenerating so they'll stay young longer or better, getting younger everyday.

Here they are, simple in pearly white with golden details. The product is  a creamy lotion, one with a whiter shade and the other is more to the beige. Guess which one is it?! The beige is actually the day cream (the one that contain sun protection) and the white one is night cream.

Both of them may look creamy here, but guess again, once blended on the skin they'll become velvety, to then soft and absorbed well on the skin without any greasy nor oily residue, and I just love the soft delicate floral aroma, like honeysuckle.

There's no irritation nor sensitivity occurs when using the product but for my dry skin, I think I needed more, I need creams that provide more hydrating power. Perhaps I need to use their serum too, I do not know, but for now I can honestly say, those with normal to oily skin will enjoy using this product as it contains no known harmful chemicals. Perfect for man and woman plus it has that lovely texture that feels good on the skin.

I still do use the products, but I add a hydrating serum and hydrating gel with them, and they work just fine. So I can perhaps says that they works well with products from other brands.

Overall,

A great product that pays attention to the ingredients, origin and value for the customers. Comes in a packaging which I think is perfect for skincare, it's  a pump bottle that always assuring in terms of hygiene. The scent is lovely and gives the skin that soft luminous glow. Both Day Cream and Night Cream are a pleaser. The Day Cream contains SPF 30 that fits for day time user who meets the sun, or simply add a stronger SPF when exposed even more (like during outdoor sports).

The Night Cream also superb as it allows my skin to stay comfortable all night long (hydrating serums and gels is still added).

Vichy reminds me a lot of Biotherm, being from France and using thermal water as well in their products. They both smells so good and promote one thing that I look the most in my skincare, hydration.

All the details are written on their official website, packaging and you could never go wrong as long as you read. It was all written clearly from how to use, benefit, and so on. And they were all correct.

I've been amazed by this night treatment and the vicinity of the texture fooled me. It appear milky, like very creamy and perhaps rich, but it's not. It's actually how they described it, creamy gel. It's really is gel, just appear creamy.

I'm using it on my clean skin and after toning, the creamy oh wait, I should have said, milky cloudy gel glide on easily on the skin and absorbed almost instantly on my skin leaving no residue whatsoever. Perhaps my skin is dehydrated, perhaps it was too tired and exhausted, but it was said to gently massage any excess onto the skin, but there are none. The night treatment is so soft and leaves a velvety feeling on my skin.

Unlike most sleeping mask with gel texture that typically causing some sticky ends, filmy, or a few even greasy silky effects, this one completely doesn't. It's just velvety and very much comfortable to be used before bed time when you hardly have any energy left but will wake up looking great since the skin looks like you just had 10 hours of undisturbed sleep with nano humidifier right in front of your face as long as you sleep. It's that hydrating.

Perhaps, I need to put thicker layer so I can massage the excess after 10-15 minutes, but so far, thin layers already gave me so much benefit which I enjoy.

Sleeping in a non stop air conditioner no longer become a problem, I'll definitely bring this during my winter travel soon.

It has a mild natural scent, and the gel texture is gooey and a bit slimy. It melts on the skin like liquid jelly and easily spread on the skin to become transparent and there's this radiant glow instantly on the skin.

It is a bit sticky at first but after around 10-15 minutes the surface of the skin like being covered in a thin gel film that keep the skin moist all night long. Waking up, the skin will look dewy, supple and very comfortable. The white, slightly thick cream with a hint of subtle floral scent feels good on the skin. And the first thing that I noticed is the plumpness it created on my skin. It making the skin appear younger as it provide moisture and nourishment. I can't really say the nourishing part as I can't really see microscopic but my skin gives the significant differences in just a week of using the product.

The lines looks relaxed, the skin appear more flawless with the reduced pores in sizes, and the glow it created, and everything it between. I really like the effects on my skin every single morning. after around 6 months with this product, I finally able to share my review. I've used it on and off since my skin is very delicate and sensitive in a way that it is actually quite dry as well.

So, it is made to be used as a night cream, after cleansing the skin completely, use it just enough and never too much. The first feeling that I do felt is a mild discomfort on my upper cheeks, this is the area that are very dry and not recommended in using the product, as well as areas near the eyes and lips, avoid them.

So for me, I use it only on my T-zone and a bit on the U zone as well avoiding the upper cheeks and sometime the whole cheeks area to be safe.

I think those who can benefit using this product more is those who have dull skin, the one that perhaps have problems with smoking, aging and doesn't have dry nor sensitive skin in general.

The product on me give immediate result, as in a day, I can see that the skin looks clearer. I do add a hydrating creme on top of the product to help ease out the areas near the cheeks.

The texture of the product is like a milky yellowish gel that has a mild scent. A scent that reminds me of lactic acid. It's not strong, the scent will fade away in a matter of minutes. Even though the texture of the product is light, I can still 'feel' it on my skin. Kinda like a mask, it clings a bit tight. I'm not really a fan of this reaction as well, hence it took me a while reviewing it. I can only use it as infrequently as possible.

But again, those who are having 'thick' skin may enjoy it better and see the differences within days where their skin will kept on being revealed to a smoother, softer and even brighter version.

My advice is to add more sun protection products during the day or perhaps avoid the immediate sun exposure during the usage of this product to keep those new layers happy and protected. And as usual, whenever you use a sun screen, do clean them up in the afternoon using a makeup remover.
