Make Over Riche Glow Face Highlighter

Now, after using all those makeup, I'm using Riche Glow as my last thing as it accentuate everything that deserve the spotlight. Like the bridge of my nose, my chin, upper cheek and may they look gorgeous throughout the day.

I think the packaging has said it all, it have the exact same tone as it is and look at the two finger swatch down here, the highlight can be as bold as I want it too or as seen on my images in this post (all the look are using Riche Glow) some are natural stroke (like 1-2 brushes away) while some are using firmer brush for a stronger feeling.

It's up to you and product itself is pretty self explanatory, the fine particles and build-able formula is also benefits of using Riche Glow. And for sure, it can be used on the body too, imagine a perfectly blossomed decollete.

So far I have no problem using the product with any brush I have at home, they wont block in one side or another, making the powder very user friendly even for first timer, it's a fool proof makeup.

MakeOver Micellar Water

Hi lovelies,

this is a review for MakeOver Micellar Water, and yes, MakeOver also launch their own micellar water, like we need more option heehee. But, don't get me wrong, their actually really good and able to take away makeup too, so most micellar water are created as a double or the last cleanser, hence it picks up the stuff on the pores, not really for waterproof makeup, but MakeOver develop one as an all in one cleanser.

Skipping cleansing oil, foaming facial wash, just use it on a dirty skin, dirty as in full makeup with thickest foundation, concealer, hard core waterproof lippies, mascara, eyeliner and anything you consider taking it to eternity.

Simply prepare the micellar water solution by damping a cotton pad with it and gently wipe the skin.

You can see on the image below, some waterproof makeup can easily be taken away with a single swipe. Only the waterproof mascara, given the condition, sometime waterproof mascara also gets stuck on our lashes since it's not easy to go through lashes one by one. We need to use an eyelash brush dipped in a cleanser to really clean them, or use a cotton pad soaked with micellar water like this and let it stay for a while on the lashes while keeping our eyes closed. A minute should do and the makeup particles are breaking, and the cotton pad can take the reside and cleans everything.

I do need to wipe my skin several times by changing the moist (with micellar water) cotton pad on the skin until the area becomes really clean and there's nothing can be captured by the cotton pad. So yes, using it on a face also the same, keep repeating the process until the moist cotton pad becomes clean, which means the skin has no more makeup.

I'm using it the other day, the liquid is a bit creamy but still in a liquid category. The color is just mesmerizing with enough shine. I can use it alone or with a lip gloss for an added shine.

The color stays nicely enough but it is not for long wear, I can easily wipe it off with a tissue.

I'm starting by using Corrective Base Makeup in green that help ease out those redness on the skin. Such as under the nose, and patches where some sensitiveness appear.

Just dot it every place needed and blend it well. The creamy liquid is so easy to be used and feels light on the skin. Doesn't have any scent whatsoever.

After continuing with some foundation and loose powder, I add some color makeup from Make Over collection.

Not in particular order, here they are.

The Golden Express eyeshadow surprisingly can be used on a daily event without looking too much. When special occasion the intensity can easily be added.

The eyeliner is very special for me, definitely the creamiest I ever try and feels so smooth on the eyes area, including the waterline.

The blush on is used as a shading powder for me, and it made the cheeks more visible heehee, more than just a pau.

And these are the lipstick, I have two, the one in Drop Dead Pink used on the image below and the red on the swatch is Red Temptation, yes, very tempting, will use this one very very soon and show you the result.

Below is me after using everything that is mentioned in this post going on an event.

Love the creamy feeling of the liquid lip color and the mild buttery scent. It is also quite long lasting, a bit glossy, and doesn't stain.

Easily wiped off with a tissue. The only thing is that the eyeliner that doesn't stand on the waterline or inner line of the eyes. It smudges and gave me that panda look.

Perhaps it would be better if I add a dust of powder and brush it off a bit to set it longer. But overall, a wonderful products that are budget friendly and give vivid result.

Make Over Enchanting Nude

Hello everyone,

as promised on my previous posts, I'll make a look using Enchanting Nude, but since my sister is at home, I'm asking her to be a model since she wants to go out as well heehee.

Enchanting Nude is perfect as a daily look or when you want to create something bold, the soft and sultry hues are perfect for that innocent enchantment. Actually, we can create several look using the trios, on this look I made for my sister, the brown shade is used more than the other two. The white as a highlighter below the brows and the dark brown plays as a smudged eyeliner.

Prefer something that is bold? Look at the makeup below, just by adding liquid eyeliner, falsies and bold lipstick a more daring look is created.

Overall,

it is a simple yet amazing products from Make Over that feels smooth and easily used without a mess. The powders are pretty pigmented and I can use it more than just eyeshadow, the white one can be used as a highlighter for the nose or other part of the face while by adding a bit of brown on the cheek bone and the sides of the nose they has officially converted into shading material. It is one of the must have colors and collection in my makeup stash. Multifunctional and beautiful result.

Btw, do you know that the darker shade from Enchanting Nude can be used near the hairline, from the forehead to the ears, by blending it gently and without overdoing it, it help create a more egg-shaped facial contour.

Make Over Ultra Cover Liquid Matt Foundation in Ochre 01

I'm back with one more item from Make Over. This time it's the foundation.

Lolabox send me Ultra Cover Liquid Matt Foundation in Ochre 01, suits my skin tone perfectly, but how about the texture, feeling on the skin, staying power, and bottom of it all, do I love it?

Let's start dissecting the product shall we?! Start from the packaging, the black plain box is okay, but I think the paper could be thicker for a sturdier look. The bottle is wonderful, I really like the design and would never complain on a pump bottle as it keep what's inside hygienic. Nobody wants additional germs on their face, right?!

Then the liquid, the main star of this item.

The smooth glowing liquid feels soft on the skin and easily distributed on a moist skin after skincare usage. I noticed that the product dries pretty fast, so I hurried down and blend it all on my skin.

I've tried mixing the product with a serum I have and the result is not good, the product is better to be used with a damp sponge.

The foundation after setting, add powders and colors. The foundation made the skin looks matte, covers in medium level, made the loose powder sets easier since the surface are soft and dry, and on me the foundation last around 4 hours before start melting or needs touching up.

Conclusion, a liquid foundation that is suitable for my skin tone, blend easily with a damp sponge, gives the skin a matte finish but not as a natural looking skin. The product doesn't adapt to the natural skin tone but visible as a layer of makeup. Covers large pores, very fine lines, and some discoloration too. I think this is a budget friendly makeup which gives the skin a plain makeup with minimum addition to the skin as a skincare. For around Rp.119.000 the foundie will function as it is, a simple foundation, with no 'special effect'.

MAKE OVER Ultra Shine Lipstick No.10 Down To Brown.

lately I've been hearing about Make Over and it seems like they have created quite a buzz out there. The tag is #Cheap #Indonesian #MadeInIndonesia #ItWorks. Those who've tried them must have understand what I meant. They are affordable, suitable for end users and makeup artist and work well as a makeup.

Make Over has opened a lot of counters throughout Jakarta (in the malls) and seems like keep getting good raves from customers, and finally, this month, thanks to Lolabox, I manage to try one of their item. The lipstick. The Ultra Shine Lipstick No 10 which is Down to Brown. Personally I have no expectation to this product as I think it is a simple makeup item which does what it does best, decorating the face.

The texture of the lipstick is okay, quite firm, not hard, but in the middle of firm and not easily break like those high moisturizing lipstick which easily melts and mussy. But at the same time this lippy doesn't give the lips hydrating effect but not overly drying as well. If I have to put them into a score it will be:

And here's my look using the lipstick.

Do I like the color? Not really, I think it is suitable for those working in the office where seriousness is the key in their daily life, like showing they meant it ^^ or when ones want to look natural in an earthy kinda way.

Overall, it is a good lipstick that does what it does, without any additional effect (like skincare infused makeup), or at least in the minimum level of skincare, worth the value in terms of the lipstick itself is NOT expensive, and I can see why so many people are raving it. It's a simple product that works just as it is!

May 2013 Lola Box

There are a lot of items isn't it?! And I'll be waiting for next week where Lola will replace the expired item with the new ones.

I've tried some of the product now and like Skin79 it will be on a different blog post ^^
But for the rest of the item, I'll share my personal thoughts here:

Clarins UV+HP11 SPF40 UVA UVB PA+++ Oil Free and Anti Pollution Day Screen Multi Protection.
A milky salmon lotion which distributed easily on the skin for a velvety smooth feeling, a bit glossy but still comfortable to be used daily.

Clarins White Plus Total Luminescent Serum.
A clear cool almost 100% transparent gel that smells so good and freshen up the skin almost instantly. Absorb so fast and leave the skin plump and lovely. I would love to use it everyday just for the texture alone.

Air Lift Toothpaste
A simple toothpaste which have a properties almost like a minty chewing gum, keep giving me a fresh minty feeling up to an hour after brushing the teeth with it. The thick white paste is providing fresh breath, but I think I need more than just a fresh breath, like the one for sensitive teeth.

Masami Shouko Cleansing Sponge and Puff.
Both work well like usual, but I like the puff better since it feels softer on the skin. I know the cleansing sponge help trigger skin simulation but sometime when rub too much during cleansing will irritate my sensitive cheeks.

The Face Shop.
The Clean Face series, Toner and Lotion.
A fragrant collection that tone and moisturize the skin in a light way. I can't say anything more from the 5 ml products.

After trying to figure it out a unique topic for the members, one of the staff (start with letter H) really want a Valentine with no pink with it. Say whattt?? Valentine is all about pink, so now, try to twist your mind into something romantic without the signature color.

Now, here's mine

Here are all the products I've used for the look, variety from Anna Sui, Laneige, Palgantong, Estee Lauder, The Body Shop, Dasoda and Lash Grip. You may search their individual review at my blog on the labels or search through the search tab.

Using Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion SPF 50+ PA +++ as a base. This is the first time I'm using the product and it was quite easy to be used and lovely. Later I'll provide the review on another post.

Mine is No.21 Natural Beige. The shade is very natural as most BB Cream will gives skin a greyish tone or whitish, so it is not really natural. Really natural? Yup, they are 'mild' on the skin, like light-medium coverage and look somewhat natural compared to 'old days' foundation. But nowadays, foundation already gives us so many choices to look like we are on our 'born-with' skin.

So back to Laneige, the Snow BB Soothing Cushion is able to make an evenness, covers most of the problems and ready for some colors.

Add Palgantong powder so there base are set finely. This product is still my best loose powder for being so good in not melting. It kept the makeup sets for 12 hours or so. I've used it during my trip to Osaka in summer and touching up is a privilege. This powder is able to stand through sweats and sebum for more than 12 hours. Just remember when sweating to dab on the tissue and don't swipe. Dab is the best thing for a settled makeup.

The thing I do next is adding some blush on from The Body Shop, it's an old product which I still love thanks to the shimmering effect of a rosy glow. Not pinky ya, rosy.

Make eyebrows using Anna Sui's brow set, and eye shadows as well and make it all about sophisticated purple. A strong yet still romantic tones to be used in Valentine.

And adding some purple lashes. Using Lash Grip is wonderful as it is black in color and sticks for the whole day as long as during usage, it is waited until dry and no sweat has touched the unset glue. Removing the glue is tricky as it will not come off altogether. Or perhaps I use too much? In my defense if I'm using less, it will be gone in a few hours.

An eyeliner is added, DASODA is used and a stay on waterproof eyeliner also help to masquerade the gap between the fake lashes and the real one attached to my eyes.

Last, after seeing the whole look, I think my eyes should be the center of attention, I use a peachy gloss on the lips from Estee Lauder.

And the makeup is done, but Valentine wont be suffice with this look, I need a wardrobe to make them complete.
