Klinik Hang Lekiu

last week I went to an event at Klinik Hang  Lekiu. You may have already read that some bloggers are invited here to try on their products and treatment, on this post I will share some of my experience during the event, trying the treatment and the products given.

The beauty clinic is located at Jalan Hang Lekiu, just like the clinic's name. The beauty clinic itself is quite spacious and have many rooms.

One part of the event which I think to be very interesting is when they show us that their cleanser contains no SLES that many said as to be carcinogen. How to differentiate between cleanses that contained SLES or not is to see the water that we rinse it with, the one without SLES has no milky residue, so the water remains clearer.

One thing you should know, SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) is different, one is already known and proven to be dangerous and must avoid at all cause, one is not.

These are all KHL products I'm going to review in this post and available at Klinik Hang Lekiu alongside with all Anna Wijaya Salon. So if you perhaps want to try their skincare, you could simply come to any Anna Wijaya's Salon and purchase the goods.

One of the unique facts from the clinic is that they make their own skincare, so they really know the highlights or benefit in using their products. This is also to keep everything in their mind that they thought it thoroughly for the customers.

There's many rooms here and each are designed for different treatment, there's consultation room, there's treatments where doctors are needed, there's dentist, there's facial, and so on.

Each machines are already set in each room, making it more convenient.

As seen, the decor are mainly in white and greens.

Most of the rooms comes with privacy and there's still curtains, this is perhaps why many female customer feels comfortable and safe as on some treatments we can to change our clothe to what's given, with the privacy and curtains it is well closed from public view.

There's one rooms where there are several beds, but there's still curtains too that separate each customer.

I happen to get a private room for my RF treatment to help the lifting and firming my skin. I'm 37 years old after all, so firming and lifting should be my thing, I'm happy they offer me the treatment.

I wish the staff could explain to me a bit about the treatment, what will be done, and what should the customer feel during the treatment, she is pretty much a quiet type perhaps.

The treatment itself last for 1 hour, start from cleansing, since I asked for the eye makeup not to be removed and the treatment itself doesn't touch the eyes area, it's okay.

Then the RF treatment using the metal plate is started. The feeling is comfortable and warm, like a iron made for the face. It smoothen and helps tighten the skin.

After that, we are given a mask, the mask is like a jelly in texture, it's felt harden but when it is dry, the  mask can be peel off the skin. It's a gentle peeling movement and the mask itself is cool and calming, I was told by the staff in front (not the staff performing the mask) that it is a pearl mask.

You should try the mask, feels nice!

And above, the laughing line is seen reduced, like the skin is more relaxed and firmer. The result could be permanent when done routinely. I was told that the treatment is around Rp. 200k.

The place itself is said to be packed on weekend, so if you want to try on their treatments (which I think to be reasonable prices) do call and make appointments first.

There are several doctors here and skin experts, so everyday I was told that there's always at least a stand by doctor.

My time is finished at the clinic, and I went home with their products. From cleanser, toner, serum, day and night cream, so 5 products in total.

These are the texture of the creams, one is day and the other is night cream. The day cream is whitish and thicker than the night cream. While the night cream is more to the gel.

Each ingredients are listed on the packaging, the container is small and perfect for traveling.

Here are the serum, toner and cleansing.

The toner is watery and easy to be used, damp a cotton pad with it and apply it on clean skin right after cleansing.

Below is the gel cleanser, it is clear and slightly bluish, easy to lather and clean the skin from daily debris.

I like the night cream as it gives my dry skin more hydration but they are both considered giving the skin light moisturizing effect perfect for normal to dry skin.

The gel cleanser is my second cleanser after makeup remover, so it helps cleansing the traces and leftovers while it is suitable as a morning cleanser when just waking up.

The toner have a calming and soothing feeling, it also helps cools down the skin. I like to put some on a spray bottle and put it inside my fridge for an immediate cooling effect and refreshing feeling anytime during the day, plus the toner helps keeping the skin damp for serum application.

Last but definitely not least, is the serum. The one that looks like a gel yet nourishing the skin.

Oya Clinic Relaxing Treatment

some time ago, like perhaps, almost 6-9 months :D I was invited by Oya Clinic for an event at one of the most prestigious location in the town.

As usual, Oya Clinic is presenting their most proud treatments which I yet to try. Ulthera and their famous face and body shaping treatments.

On the event, they also share a bit about Oya's backgrounds and all the breakthrough they've made.

One of their patented item is the sticky gel-like brown creams that are used during the treatment. A special formula created by Oya.

A live demo of face shaping is shown during the event and all the guess can freely ask or even try a bit.

It was a brief but concluded presentation, I think everyone get the idea of how the treatment works. I've also tried their facial shaping and enjoying every little bit of it. Their treatments are comfortable and doesn't involve pain.

After the event, I'm given a voucher to try their Relaxing Treatment, which I just had today heehee. Yes, I've been really busy and postponing pleasure.

The treatment took around 60 minutes. Start with cleansing, scrub, and then they use this metal thingy that 'collect' dead skin cells and things that can be obtain like white heads, they found quite a lot around the nose. The procedure is not as painful as extraction but the pointy areas does feel a bit, like scrapping the skin.

Continue with the massage, which I think worth every minute of it and so relaxing. I'm kinda addicted to the massage and would love going back for the massage alone. The technique itself is superb.

Followed by a mask, a usual paper mask that we seen a lot in the market that helps hydration.

After 20 minutes of using the mask, the skin is prep with moisturizer and sun protection.

Thank you so much Oya Clinic, this is one of the best facial I've had in years. My skin feels and looks so clean and the massage given by the therapist is spot on. Ease out all the stresses away.

ACT (Advanced Cell Therapy) at Euroskinlab

around a week ago, I was offered another opportunity by Euroskinlab to try on their signature treatment that was known as ACT.

ACT (Advanced Cell Therapy) 

Langkah awal Treatment ACT ini adalah Exfoliate yaitu mengangkat sel kulit mati untuk memperbaiki lapisan epidermis (texture). Kemudian Repair, yang berguna untuk memperbaiki lapisan dalam kulit dan fokus pada masalah utama (structure). Langkah terakhir adalah Maintain untuk mempertahankan texture dan structure kulit tetap dalam kondisi terbaik.

Selanjutnya dilakukan adalah Infusion System Generation yang di dalamnya terdapat tiga tahap yaitu Ionthophoresis, bertujuan untuk memasukan infusion system sebesar 800.000 Dalton ke dalam kulit. Setelah itu langkah yang ke dua adalah Electroporation dengan menggunakan energy electricity mengubah kualitas serum A+ menjadi A- yang kemudian memasukan 1.000.000 Dalton. Terakhir adalah Dermo-Electroporation tanpa mengubah apapun bentuk dari kualitas serum, tetapi memasukan 1,5-3 juta Dalton.

Above is my skin before the treatment, the room is clean and cozy, I love the comfortable ambiance, the room is not big, but it'll do.

After getting ready, I was told that my skin need to be properly cleaned and the blackheads plus one acne to be extracted. I was in horror mode. And it was pretty painful, I can't stand it and ask the extraction to be stop half way.

And I'm not the kind of person that thinks extraction is needed, I spoke with many beauty experts and dermatologists too that aside from extractions, there are other ways dealing with black heads and acne. Especially acne, it is wiser to let them heal first. Since no one told me that I can't have the treatment while there's an acne, I hope this post helps anyone who wants to get treatments at Euroskinlab to wait until there's none.

After the gruesome minutes of taking those black heads and one acne, yes, I only have one acne, since I ask the therapist to stop, she put some watery lotion on cotton pads to be placed on the areas that has just been extracted. I am very sensitive in terms of pain and seems to have very sensitive skin too,

For other it might not be as painful as me :D

After that the whole process is a breeze and I pretty much enjoys the anti inflammation lamp to reduce the chance of any negative effects from the extraction.

Followed by the actual ACT treatment which involves serums and this toll connected to the machine that deliver electric motions and feeling on to my skin. It is definitely not painful but it kept me alert as I have never try anything like this.

There are different kinds of serums, mine is energizing (suitable for dry skin), there's one for acne skin, whitening and anti aging. You can choose one according to your skin type and needs.

The finishing touch is the mask. A creamy white mask. Calming, comfortable and kinda relaxing.

The therapist also provide me with beauty tips and the conversation went on smoothly, she seems to be confident in what she is doing and understand just about anything in the clinic. She knows all the treatments, methods and handle my skin quite well (apart from the extraction) she is gentle enough on my upper cheeks area.

When finish she applied moisturizer and sunscreen, my skin feels moist then hence you can see my video on Euroskinlab official instagram with my candid testimonial (haha!) with my face just wakes up from the treatment.

On the next day the skin feels so dry, I add hydrating serums and use heaps of watery masks and it took me 2-3 days to get the dryness heal. There's no flaking skin nor overly dry skin, just some stings felt on the upper cheeks, perhaps due to the many movement or wiping on those areas, do take note that my upper cheeks are super sensitive that others won't probably feel the same.

Overall,

a fast treatment that boost up skin condition in a very short time. Perhaps more suitable for those with normal to oily skin type and not really for very dry skin. Still, I can't deny the fresh look it gives to my skin, like it does appear younger, skincare can be absorbed better and the skin do feel smoother as well. There are a bit of pros and cons like the extraction before the ACT, but the ACT treatment itself is faultless, I want to try the anti aging as well.

Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray

this particular item in a no brainer in terms of being well known and fully functional. From health, comfort to beauty, the brumisateur has won hearts from all over the world. Hydration, soothing, refreshing, cooling, are just amongst the why we are using it.

Personally, Ive been using it for the whole family. In humid climate, the product provide a clean and cooling comfort for the sweating skin, wipe it off with a clean tissue and the skin are back to life. The pores that has been clogged are happy again.

In dry air like inside an aircon room for long period of time, the facial spray hydrates the skin with no fuss nor frills. Just happy pleasant light comforting h20.

The pump also produce smaller particles so the skin doesn't get drenched but nicely sprayed. It is perfect when using makeup, the skin gets a cool hydration without the mess. The brand also have a version for babies, I hope someday I can try it on.

I've been using it as a toner, skin softener, when it is hot and as a skin cooler, refresh the hair and body, for the whole family too, as a body toner where I'm using it before a body butter so it doesn't feel so thick, as a makeup setter for a more natural look.

As the product is small enough to be carried around in a purse or shoulder bag has added another bonus point as well.

My First Facial at IOMA

A week ago, I went to IOMA at Seibu, Grand Indonesia. This time, I wanted to try their facial treatment at the counter. Everyone may enjoy this facial treatment for free after purchasing Bespoke (current promo).

The room is finished now, the condition is cool, temperature controlled and quiet. That's exactly what I need a peaceful place to do my face. After the hustling and bustling of the city being too jammed in the traffic, I need space and serenity. Do tell the BA (beauty adviser) if you want to have an undisturbed treatment time.

  The room is squeaky clean to my liking, the towels are spotless and the smell in here is wonderful.

Before the treatment began, my skin is being diagnosed and checked thoroughly, it seems like the bacterial activity is pretty high. But, since I'm pregnant, the BA advised me to do the hydration instead of anti bacterial just to be safe.

I changed into the towels given and start the process. Begins with essential oil, gentle exfoliating emulsion (scrub), so there's no painful extraction of the blackheads or pinching the acne. Continues with moisturizing toning lotion, ampoules oligo pro line, anti dryness mask, generous eye contour cream, serum hydratant optimum, optimum moisture cream day & night and finished with inoui elixir.

There are a lot of products used and the each product are presented with different massaging and application technique which made the treatment pretty special for each individual. So each item are given and prescribed according to the prior skin check right before the treatment.

For me the treatment is nice and the products are so wonderful, but I wish the BA would give me a gentler touch and the towels to be more softer to the facial skin. Beside those terms everything perfect.

And the immediate result is seen at the 'after' check. The skin gain hydration and the skin 'peeling' level also improving. I think the treatment deliver a week usage of their product in a matter of an hour.

Overall, this is a facial treatment with undisputed uniqueness, just like the rest of the products and brand's value where human skin aren't created to be 'one size fits all', the facial treatment also held up to the same policy. Giving each client a different approach, different products, different variation and different methods. Each of us may come in different timing and found our skin in different condition than before, the facial treatment will adjust to the needs at that moment. So for me, this truly divergent approach will be beneficial for individual for that spot on treatment every time.

Colax Care Pack Facial with Menard

Hello everyone,

these last few days has been boiling hot isn't it?! I feel like melting with sweats dripping as I am jolting down right now. I wish I'm in a cool comfortable place as I were a few weeks ago with Menard. Invited to enjoy their signature newest treatment, the facial presented as an indulgent that can only be done at some of their branches, as in mine was at Central Park Mal.

All the bloggers invited have their skin checked and since mine was dry I'm opt to the hydration, but somehow the therapist is giving me a collagen treatment, which is find for me as I do have fine lines as well. So, instead of Moist Pool Pack, mine was Colax Care.

They ushered me to a facial room, and there was all the products and tools needed in the facial time. Take note they do pay a great attention in providing an excellent service for anyone. So the customized treatment according to the skin type and personalized pressure. I can find myself at ease here as they are NOT accustomed to extracting the black heads and acne. This is a true pampering experience Menard style.

The pink collagen mask is so cold, my skin immediately feel the freshness it brings. The whole treatment took around an hour and the massaging technique is sought after. I kinda wish I could do this every day, a girl need to be pampered every day ^__-

As the mask is removed the result is quite visible, the fine lines are reducing and appear younger. Who could resist an hour of pampering moment that ends with wonderful result? Who said beauty is pain? Menard certainly did not comprehend those words.
