V10Plus Vitamin A Serum

Hi all,

it's V10Plus time again, and these are the serums recommended for my skin condition. I've been using their serums for almost 2 years now and I'm happy with the texture, formula and of course result.

They are still water based and so far suits most skin type.

What is Vitamin-A?

The Vitamin A serum (in pink bottle) is actually good to be used around the eyes area.

So, I'm using the Hyaluronic Acid for the whole face and Vitamin A for the eyes zone, including under and sides.

Since the serum is water based, I didn't have any concern at all. Oil based product will usually gets into the eyes and disrupt the vision, but Vitamin A serum by V10Plus absorbs almost instantly on the sensitive skin. The serum can also be used on deep lines such as laughing lines as it help 'relaxing' the skin cells.

This is like an all on one serum for the eyes, we all need a break from our stressful life and guess what, most of us doesn't have the chance to do it often and still need to look great. The serum will helps us to look great and have better plus healthier skin as well day by day.

Clearer Skin Day After Day

V10 Plus Quasi Cleanser contains of natural plants and roots extracts for deep thorough skin cleansing without ripping off the skin's natural moisture film. It promotes brightening for a clear and luminous complexion.

Directions : Squeeze a pea sized amount of cleanser, lather it with water and massage over the face. Rinse off well with water.

As seen above, it is a clear gel, and the product actually doesn't lather almost at all, at least on me, I've tried making them lather in so many ways and it just doesn't work. No foam nor bubbles comes out. Doesn't mean that it's a bad thing, it's just that they don't lather as conventional cleanser.

After 'lathering' the gel on the hand, I use the product on wet face and it cleanses in a way that almost like some gentle cleanser I know but feels cleaner. I don't know whether it is really cleaner but there's that sense of going to the direction to squeaky clean, but of course they don't give the skin that striking clean like detergent do.

The skin does becomes clearer and still moist, like almost nothing happen. For me it's like the cleanser massaging the skin and pampering, while doing so lifting up impurities and leave everything that belongs to the skin behind, so if you're using it for the first time, especially for those with dry skin, you'll love it.

On the other hand, those with oily and very dirty skin would need to use it perhaps 2-3 times or repeat the process until the skin feels 'clean'.

When using makeup, do remove the makeup first, using makeup remover, before using the Quasi Cleanser. 

V10Plus Ceramide Extract Cleansing Gel

This rich and gentle gel cleanses impurities with Natural Plant extract. It moisturizes skin and Plant extract enhances the retention of essential moisture which keeps skin soft and smooth.

Directions: Pump a small amount (about 2 cm) into palm, lather it with water and massage over the face. Rinse off with water or lukewarm water.

The gel is clear and feels like a runny jelly. It lathers quite easy with or without using a foaming net. When using a foaming net the foam become softer with smaller bubbles than none. I prefer using a foaming net as it cleanse the skin better. There's a fresh sensation when used, it is not exactly minty, more like a bit cooling and...well, fresh. The cleansing process feels comfortable.

Daily debris, light makeup, and dirt can easily be removed, but when using heavy makeup or a sun protection products it is best to use a makeup remover first before Ceramide Extract Cleansing Gel.  

What do I love about this product?

No paraben.
Lathers well.
Suitable for daily usage.
Doesn't irritate nor make the skin dry.
Comfortable when used and after usage.

V10Plus Hyaluronic Acid And Amino Serum

I'm back with V10Plus, a brand based in Singapore with products made in Japan. They are famous for their serums, I've been using their serums and these two babies are my recent favorites. The Hyaluronic Acid and Amino.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic Acid is one of the main components of dermis and horny layer. It can hold 6 liters of water per 1 grams and it works to keep water in the skin. At the age of 60, Hyaluronic Acid will be about one third of what a baby has, but it decreases as you get older. So it is necessary to supply more of this moisturizing factor with age. 

Hyaluronic Acid is good for…

Dry skin and inner dry. V 10 PLUS serum has a high reputation of permeability, because it contains lysolecithin (phosphatide), which speeds up the penetration into the skin, as it is the main component of cell membrane.

What is amino acid?

Amino acid is the most important NMF in the horny layer. V 10  PLUS amino serum reproduces the relative proportions of 8 amino acids (glycine, alanine, proline, serine, threonine, arginine, lycine, glutamic acid) in the horny layer. It also contains 2 other amino acids: trimethyl glycine (high moisturizing effect) and ergothioneine (protecting effect).

Dryness. It moisturizes the skin with marine collagen and decreases the dullness by enhancing metabolism. V 10 PLUS amino serum has light texture and makes your skin smooth.

And where are they going? To Japan with me!

I'm bringing them on board since I need them, my skin need them. These serums are made for dry skin like mine. The water based formula are drank instantly by the thirsty skin, absorbed with nothing left on the skin, like they have made the serum so pure so the skin can easily accept everything in it.

It was beautiful and so simple. Due to the water based formula as well, those with any skin type can use these babies, so friendly to the skin.

Use the serum after cleansing and top it off with any moisturizers, for a longer moisturizing effect, use a hydrating moisturizing made for dry skin. When you have other issues such as aging, acne prone or oily, these serums can also be used with any kind of moisturizers of your choice.

I wish V10Plus developed a formula for a moisturizer specially made for dry skin type, since there's only a few of them that are actually really good and made for dry skin type.

As seen on these images, the serum is suitable for outdoor and indoor usage, summer air or in a room with air conditioner, the whole day, it keeps the skin well hydrated during video taking from morning till late the evening. My make up holds together better since the serum is light enough, so it doesn't cause any greasy or oily effect on the skin.

The hydrating effect also wonderful so my skin doesn't break off or shown flakiness due to the dryness. Actually, before going to Japan, like 2-3 days before, my skin is at its worst, no makeup could stay still, signs of dry skin is emerging like the skin is peeling itself off. After using the serums from the flight to the next day, they seems moist enough and healed from the dryness. I'm really happy that my skin can look like normal in the video.

Below is my close up look, my skin looks so much better, like it's never been through a 'drought' before.

This gentle peeling contains rice bran extract & seaweed extract. Without any harsh scrubbing, it effectively removes dead skin cells and reveals a cleaner & clearer skin instantly.

Directions: Pump an appropriate amount and leave it on cleansed & dry skin for 5 seconds. Then massage gently with your finger tips in circular motion. Dead skin cells in the form of tiny flakes will appear shortly. Rinse off the flakes thoroughly with water

Overall, I'm pleased with the result. The peeling process is fast and gentle on the skin at the same time, no redness nor irritation. This is suitable for those with sensitive skin. After the dead skin is off, skincare become easier to penetrate, recommended go be used routinely depends on your skin condition. I like to use it 1-2 a month.

V 10 Plus Luminous Series Brightening Serum Vitamin C 8% + Rose Centifolia Extract

how are you? I hope all of you are well.

Did you know that V10Plus already in Indonesia? They are still trying to get all of their products through the regulation and BPOM registration, so let's just cross our fingers so they can make it here with all of their lovely goods.

Why do I become such a fan of their products? None other than the safety reasons. No paraben, no chemical fragrance, no artificial color and no mineral oil. Those ingredients are well known for causing allergic reaction and even huge skin problem like cancer (oh no!)

I've been sharing some reviews of V10Plus products, so far all of them become one of my favorite skincare items. The water based formula helps the skin to get the nutrients better and faster too.

The product I'm going to review now is their Luminous Series, the brightening serum with vitamin C 8%. It is not the highest content in the market but it is considered quite high than most brands. And the most important is V10Plus doesn't contain stuffs you don't need (like paraben, mineral oil, etc).

The color of the serum is a clear orange hue and has that distinctive smell of a vit c serum. The texture also a bit more richer than other serum in the V10
plus family.

Just two drops of the serum each night. I think they made the instruction for night use only for vit c can't stand against the sun during the day, hence perhaps it is useless to use it on day time?! And it is important to keep it away from the sun when not in used. Nevertheless, whichever you have please do keep all the skincare from the sun since some ingredients are photosensitive.

The feeling on the skin is comfortable with a bit of warm feeling not as warm as a 10,5% vit c but definitely warmer than the 5% vit c. There's this 'signature' sensation, velvety and smooth, like when using any other vit c serum but this one is more watery.

Why is there so many vit c serums out there? It's because vit c is well known in helping the skin to become brighter, reduces dark spots and help the overall complexion to become better, it is also said to help remove dark scars caused by acne or to be precised by mistreating acne.

And V10Plus Vitamin C serum is suitable for those looking for safe ingredients away from paraben, allergies and the 8% vitamin c is not too high, for those with skin sensitivity may still use it with ease. How do I know? One of my bff have a skin sensitivity, she can only tolerate product that are no paraben, no artificial perfume, etc, and in term of vit c, she can not tolerate 10,5% and a lot of chemicals.

Effect after using the serum:

Gradually the dark spots begin to fade, the darker the spots are the longer it gets to be completely gone. Overall skin complexion will become brighter due to the pure concentration of vit c, but it all depends on how you use it and the lifestyle involved.

Tips:

Use sun protection during the day, and when possible avoid the sun light at it's peak. Use products that doesn't irritate the skin as irritated skin will become darker and darker eventually.

Playing with Mixing Palette from BeautyGoodsID and Altering Foundationwith Skincare

BeautygoodsID aka Wenny sent me one of her mixing palette, a simple product that you probably already seen it here and there at instagram. Yes, she only sells her items at instagram with an id @BeautyGoodsID

At first, I thought, hmm what am I going to do with this thing? And ideas start popping, something that I really want to do, making my own concoction of makeup base. Mixed with my favorite skincare or other things....curious? Let's check them out.

Start with the most classic of them all, Advanced Night Repair serum and Double Wear foundation. The serum is famous for being so light in texture yet hydrating the skin nicely, and those are the instant effect only, the long term benefit consist of repairing the skin back to it's perfect form. The Double Wear foundation also loved by many for it's great finish, but we all know how quick it dries up and settles. Most makeup artist from Estee Lauder's team will suggest the usage of this dynamic duo together.

What is the difference in using hand as the media or mixing palette, first, the hand has temperature and pores, it will change the texture, even if it's only a slight. The pores will absorb some of it's 'liquid-ness' hence the mixture will become drier faster. The mixing palette has a room temperature, doesn't absorb the products being put on top and last, no messy hands means less germs too.

By mixing these two together, it will gives us more time to blend the product onto the facial skin. This may not be a problem for an expert but for amateurs (like me) extra time means better applications, softer finish and more flawless result.

As seen the palette does not affected the products and solely function as a container, use a brush to blend the products together or I can apply the foundation first followed by the serum during blending.

Take note, there's no differences in preparing the skin before makeup, even thou' there's serum here, it doesn't meant we can skip the skincare routine. Start by cleaning the skin, use toner, serum, moisturizer, wait around 10 minutes or until the skin is ready for makeup and the skincare is absorbed well.

Now, my second concoction is a mixed between serum and drugstore foundation and the third one is facial oil by belif and the drugstore foundie. So one same foundie with 2 possibilities outcome by using 2 different mixture, one, an oil based product, and another a water based product.

The one mixed with water based serum from V10Plus remain it's original form and velvety but the one with facial oil lightens a bit and feels loosen more than the other. On the skin, the foundie mixed with V10Plus set faster, as the water based is easier to be absorbed by the skin, this concoction is perfect for those with normal to dry skin, it added a hint of moisture without being too much.

The foundie mixed with true facial oil is best for those with dry-very dry skin, as the foundie become so moist, but not oily, the true facial oil from belif is wonderful and I can see why this ultra fine oil is loved. The skin will glisten beautifully even with a drugstore foundie like Za.

Now, I'm adding a moisturizer from Hada Labo in the V10Plus mixture, this will make the mixture loosen and create a base like tinted moisturizer. The percentage of the products used will determine how it will be, more foundie means more coverage, less foundie means lighter makeup, suitable for those who doesn't like to use thick makeup. A BB cream can also be made by yourself using skincare, such as serum, moisturizer containing spf and foundation. Some powder may be added as well.

All depends on the brands and ingredients, not all brand is suitable with other products, I know for sure Double Wear foundation from Estee Lauder is best with the ANR alone.

Now, let's continue shall we?!

These are the result of a tinted moisturizer, a light coverage with moist effect. You may change the moisturizer according to what you have and the result desired. Here's some tips in choosing moisturizer:
Hydrating moisturizer which focused on adding moisture, usually contain more water will give the skin a natural hydrated look, suitable for almost all skin type.
Anti aging moisturizer, usually thicker and contains oils, will help those with aging signs as the ingredient may 'blurred out' or fills in the lines and wrinkles. Also help promote a better complexion.
Lifting moisturizer, feels a bit rubbery, hence it may not be suitable with a lot of foundie since it will create crease and/or perhaps noodle-ing.
Whitening/brightening moisturizer, helps lightens the tone, best to used for those looking for a fairer skin. Add some sparkles or golden dust, like the sample (way below).

Above is without some sparkles and below is adding some golden dust from IZU. The fine particles is perfect, bigger particle is not advice-able since it will make some gunk instead of nicely blend. No one wants a chunk of golden sparkles in random places.

Ta-da, glowing skin instantly, suitable for those going into special occasion like a wedding.

The possibility is endless, try mix and match your own items at home using this simple mixing palette from @BeautyGoodsID that only cost Rp.75.000.

Cleaning wise? I use a simple makeup remover and they are all gone.

Drop some speedy cleansing liquid directly and using the same brush, mix it up so nothing sticks, use a tissue and wipe them off. I proceed with cleaning it with a dishwashing liquid (just to remove the residue from speedy cleansing liquid) and the mixing palette is good as new.

The brush is clean as well ^__^

My Daily Routine with V10 Plus Quasi Serum, LX Advanced Eye Cream, andLX Advanced Lifting Cream Treatment

Helloooo everyone,

Phewww, after consecutive reviews on each of the products I've recently received from V 10 Plus, the Quasi Serum, LX Advanced Eye Treatment Cream, and LX Advanced Lifting Cream Treatment, now, here it is the post I've said will make for you on how do I use all three together as a series.

Take note that these images are made 2 weeks before, and I keep using them as it is shown here, start with a clean face, if needed do a double cleansing, when the skin is perfectly clean without any residue or abundant dead skin cells on top of it, the nutrients from the skincare will be absorbed way better.

Without using toner, I'm using Quasi Serum, why am I using the toner right away? I was told by V10Plus representative that their products are water based and purer that other products from other brands. No oils and easily penetrated into the skin, using other brand including toner will blocked the skin from receiving theirs. The serum itself is very comfortable to be used directly on the skin and within 1-2 minutes there's none left, so I better hurry and applied the next step, eye cream.

Using only ring finger and about this size, gently dab on the circle areas and then swipe it over the lids.

The eye cream feels really light and comforting on the skin, like melts instantly too. The area become hydrated without being too much. Nobody like an oily eye cream and LX Advanced Eye Treatment Cream is definitely not oily.

Last, LX Advanced Lifting Advanced Cream Treatment, as seen the cream seems a bit thick and gooey. Looks rich and luxurious, it does felt luxurious on the skin. Like an expensive cream haha! I'm really running on words, but yes, it does feel like an expensive cream, smooth, finely made and even thou it looks heavy, on the skin the cream feels light and unburden. There's this density and firmness when used.

No need to use too much, like seen above, just use enough, I'm using around one corn size, since the cream is like melts on the skin really well and glide all over. This is suitable for those whose already above 25. Those whose been taking care of their skin really well may start from 30's but for those already having premature aging may start early. The stem cells active ingredients will work continually and 'wakes up' the cells to rejuvenated, imagine like when you're running out of fuel, your body start feel lethargic and exhausted, when given energy bar with vitamin water suddenly you'll feel alive again and start to be productive once again, that's how it works on your skin. So there's a restoring process and triggering the cells to work like they used to, when they are young.

And ta-da!! This is how I look two weeks later, the skin become firmer and less lines, the large pores reduced and even skin toned thanks to Quasi Serum. My eyes looks fresh as well.

So, in terms of aging, it is not recommended to just use one or two items, it is best to be used as a series as they work together hand in hand, like a synergy they created altogether, one addresses some concerns, while some to other concerns.

For those in their early 20's and want to start early, it is always best to start with a serum that suits the skin's need, then find an eye cream that feels light and penetrated easily. Moisturizer is always a must and remember a hydrated skin will always look plumper, healthier and younger. Keep drinking at least 8 glass of water per day and eat your fruits plus veggies too.

Another tips from me is start reading the ingredients, hey I'm not a pro myself, google it down to see what they are for, some ingredients already banned while some need precautions. LX Advanced Lifting Cream Treatment

Heehee this is the third item from V 10 Plus that I introduced to you today. It's the LX Advanced Lifting Cream Treatment.

The day and night cream comes in a luxurious packaging of a clear cube. Somehow it reminds me of a conventional eye cream on the market. The 30 ml product is a rich white cream that feels good on the skin. At first it might feels rich but somehow melt on the skin nicely and like most lifting cream there's this type of 'stretch' it creates, sticky is not the exact word, but more like creamy texture that pulls the skin outward direction against the gravitation. It's a feeling that ones will understand after trying the product. Don't expect a hard pulling action or tightness ya, just a light gentle 'pulls' felt by the cells.

I do look younger after 2 weeks of 2x daily usage. My cheekbone is more noticeable than before usage. I do have laughing lines (well I do love to laugh a lot) but it is not nice to have those lines when I'm not laughing. The lines are not start to become less and lesser, btw, my image above is not edited, I'm not using any filter, just makeup (^___^) but usually even makeup wont cover laughing lines (true story).

Will I keep using this product? Of course! To who I would recommend the products for? To those with skin aging concern, if you start seeing fine lines, large pores, and sagging skin even at the earliest stage, start using this cream.

As usual any skincare is best to be used as a series and not alone. Start with a cleaned skin, toner, serum according to your skin's need and then moisturizer. During day time top it off with sun protection and during night time, let the moisturizer sink in first before tossing into bed. 30 minutes usually enough so the skin has time to absorbed the nutrients, not your pillow case.

LX Advanced Eye Treatment Cream

A lot of my readers has been asking for solutions to these problems:
dark eye circles,
eye bags,
fine lines near the eyes.

And they all want a brighter, firmer, prettier looking eyes which is of course linked to the conditions surrounding the eyes. So dark circles, sagging eye bags and fine lines or even wrinkles wont do much help, they do help in terms of adding the age factor, which we all refuse to have. We want youthfulness and younger looking everyday.

It is a general knowledge too that the aging usually start around the eyes, why? Due to the muscle contraction and sensitivity of the area. The skin on eye's area are thinner and hence more fragile to damages. Lack of sleep will immediately turn the color under our eyes to become darker, bloating will promote sagging eye bags and lines, well, we do smile, blink, scratch and touches the eye's area like any other part and sometime forget that those area are much more sensitive, that's why we have to touch them gently. Ring finger is the weakest in terms of pressure, using eye cream is always recommended using that particular finger only.

Beside the touches, the habits and healthier lifestyle (enough sleep, etc) we also need help from outside called eye cream. With so many eye cream on the market, it is confusing which one to choose.

My suggestion is to look according to your needs and skin type, for me? I'm looking for an all in one product for the eyes from V 10 Plus. The apple stem cells, plantago major seed extract, and vaccinium myrtillus leaf extract help to boost the skin eye area's in terms of elasticity and firmness. The glucosyl hesperidin and cynara scolymus (artichoke) leaf extract help minimize the appearance of age spots, dark patches around the eyes and dullness for an all over youthful brightness and radiant looking eyes.

What do I love about the product? It is again due to the texture, I think texture do play an important role in skincare, if it's too thick the skin will feel uncomfortable and having difficulty to be absorbed, now the skin near the eyes are already so thin and sensitive, it need a product that is water based, light and easily penetrated, we don't want any milia seeds there, right?!

The eye cream are meant to be used after we clean our skin, use toner, serum and then the eye cream, right before moisturizer or face cream. Twice daily and with the help of ring finger. On another post I'll share how to use this product with 2 other V 10 Plus items.
