JAFRA Long Wear Creme Blush and Liquid Matte Lipstick

How is everyone? I hope things are well and we can all have fun with some makeup.

These babies are from Jafra, they are Long Wear Creme Blush in Mauve shade and Liquid Matte Lipstick in Soft Kiss shade.

The box are all in black and white details, clear and simple message of the products.

Let's start by reviewing the cream blush.

The product is as it is, a creamy blush that feels comfortable on the skin. The packaging looks like a powder container, usually cream blush comes in a pot. You can simply use a brush, sponge or fingers in using the product.

There's three available shade Peach, Peony, and on this post, Mauve for Rp.158.000.

As seen in the images, it was pretty pigmented and the color can be bold from the single swipe. Blending it was easy, finger, blush, or sponge, any form will do. And as the form is cream, use it on a wet makeup, before applying any powder. So I'm using liquid foundation, concealer and then this cream with some highlights gel and stick contour.

I'm blending them all (on designated areas) using beauty blender and they'll make my skin appeared like above.

I must say, I can't never go without blush on, it's a must have, must use, must be on the cheeks as it add radiance, tone and live up the mood. I always feels like the blush made me prettier heehee.

Last step is seal everything using a finishing powder. This step helps everything underneath stays put on its place and looking more naturally flawless. The cream blush does last for hours and hours without going away.

The blush is pretty bold in color with demi shine finish. Build-able from the lightest shade to dramatic by layering. Easy to be used, smooth and I have never experience any allergic nor discomfort in using it. I don't smell any distinct scent when using it as well.

Next is their Liquid Matte Lipstick, I know I know there's tons of liquid matte nowadays and you must be wondering why should I choose this one, the things is the shade is one of the reason. Their undertone is neutral to fair skin, hence it is suitable for most skin tone without looking dark. Somehow it's brightening.

There's around 6 shades and each cost Rp.199.000, so in terms of price, it is still in the mid range.

The product comes in a tube, like most liquid lipstick, and dries up pretty fast without giving my lips uncomfortable crackings. The formula have a sweet vanilla cupcake kinda aroma, which is not my favorite, but when it's dry, the scent wears off almost instantly, hence I have no complain.

The color is as it is, when you see the clear packaging, it shows what's inside. The other 5 shade are varied from bright red, deep red, slightly orange, and pinks.

They do last quite good on the lips, as long as I don't eat anything oily, it'll stay. That means, cleaning the liquid matte require cleansing oil to easily break the particles and wiped them off with a cotton.

Regarding the moisturizing effect, I think it's not really significant when I'm using it. It's not terribly drying but it's not really moisturizing as well in terms of like using a balm or some sort since the finish product is still in very much matte.

So there you go, a beauty products from Jafra that are easily and comfortably used, perfect for daily or special occasion plus practical too. The Long Wear Cream Blush can be used for all skin area, like as a eyeshadow, lippies, as well as cheeks. It is a great makeup for a one tone look.

The Liquid Matte is pretty comfortable too and long lasting (as long there's no oil in touch).

Do try these babies, especially the cream blush, I do highly recommend it.

Hydration Dynamics

Start from the Cleansing Cream. A rich creamy lotion that helps clean the face. It was a rinse off type.

Toner, to be used after the cleaning process is completed.

Day cream that contains light SPF 15 for daily usage and below is a night cream.

This is my review based on item per item.

I've been using the cleansing cream to remove the daily debris only. The pink purplish milky lotion smells good and gentle to the skin. Suitable for those suffering dry skin.

It is used on a dry face, gently massage the cream onto the face and in circular motion. I've tried it with cold water as well as warm water, I think the product work best with a warm water. The result is far from silky, in fact it created like a waxy coating on the skin. This is something that I think some of us won't get used to it.

I've tested the product as a makeup remover as well, I put on some foundation, eyeshadows, lipsticks, eyeliner, mascara and so on.

Massage the cleanser on the skin.

After massaging, I've left it on for a while, just in case the cleanser need time to 'work' before wiping it off and rinse it.

As seen, it was unable to clean makeup, so please do use a makeup remover prior to the cleanser if you happen to use makeup.

Followed by the slightly tinted toner. The toner is like water, I felt completely nothing when touch the skin, but the effect is mildly moisturizing and preparing the skin for the next step, which is moisturizer.

After using the toner with the cotton pad, I dab some Day Cream for day time. Almost all day cream that contain SPF 15 or any sunscreen gives the skin a whitish effect and looks like using a mask when taking picture, the Hydration Dynamics day cream looks natural on the skin and comfortable too. Most cream that claims to help hydration usually feels oily on the skin. This one doesn't. The velvety feeling is smooth.

The last item is the night cream. I thought the day cream feels nice and light, so the night cream must be heavy and sticky, it's not. The product feels comfortable as a night cream as well. It stays on the skin but I think not overnight, perhaps for 5 hours max.

Overall,

these products does deliver result as said in the packaging and product details. The price also budget friendly, start from around Rp.100.000 - Rp. 250.000. I'm not really a fan of the scent, I think it would be better if it have milder/fresher scent.The cleanser need to be improved to clean the face thoroughly since I'm still enjoying a more 'clean' and fresh feeling. The toner is okay and I have no complain. The day and night cream works just as it is, so I think this series is suitable for those who are looking for a no fuss no frill, economics, basic, and plain skincare that offers hydration.
