I really like the finish it made, natural and create a healthy skin look without being thick, oily, nor matte. It's just perfect.

On the image above I'm adding a loose powder on a hot and humid day. But on a dry air or if I stay in an air conditioned room all day long, I can just use Evenfair Perfecting Cushion and then color makeup.

On me the foundation last all day long when I didn't use any powder afterwards, sometime when I'm adding a compact powder (like on the look below) the cakey under the nose are caused by the powder. So, if you want it to last all day, a light loose powder or non will be enough, depends on your skin type and condition as well.

Tips: When using a creamy blush or other 'wet' type color makeup, it is better to put them on right after the foundation before the loose powder or when using non powder.

If you add a powder like loose or compact type, the color makeup is preferred in powder formula as well.

By doing so the finish can be dewy/moist or velvety.

Sulwhasoo Clarifying Mask

Hi lovelies,

I'm back with Sulwhasoo in reviewing their mask called Clarifying Mask. A simple facial mask that is gooey, sticky and smells like a lot of Korean herbs inside.

I have two sachets from Sulwhasoo Indonesia, one sachet enough for single usage, the size is smaller than a pack of matcha drink ^_^

And here's my result in using the mask.

The brown sticky gel is spread on a cleaned skin after using skincare (as it is the tips from Sulwhasoo's PR in Indonesia), as the product will be too sticky and harder to remove if it's used on a cleaned skin without skincare.

The smell is really medicinal, Korean medicinal, like Ginseng and a bunch of other stuff ^__^ Korean, Chinese, and Japanese medicinal herbs are indeed have different scents are they are made according to the local herbs.

When using the mask the only trouble is when putting it on, I can't spread them well, so there's part that's thicker than the other. I hope it doesn't really matter, for sure, when lifting it up there's no difficulties. I can't peel them off as one piece but small pieces here and there.

The result is as seen on the image above. The skin instantly looks cleaner, more radiant, appear healthier and definitely uni-tone.

Sulwhasoo Holiday Travel Set (Gentle Cleansing Oil, First Care Activating Serum, and Essential Firming Cream)

Hello everybody,

from my recent encounter with Sulwhasoo, they handed me a travel set consist of cleansing oil, first care activating serum, and a firming moisturizer.

Packed nicely, the series is enough for a couple of weeks usage. I'm starting with the Gentle Cleansing Oil (all details given provided by: us.sulwhasoo.com)

A cleansing oil that gently removes makeup residue and impurities from the skin.  White Birch promotes the skin's natural circulation and turnover cycle to restore healthy glow to the skin.

Before wetting your hands, pump Cleansing Oil twice onto your palm and massage your forehead, nose, and cheeks in a circular motion, melting away all makeup residue and impurities. When makeup residues and impurities are melted down, rinse off with lukewarm water.

The clear oil doesn't feel light but not really on the heavy zone, it removes all impurities like makeup and daily debris. When used as a makeup remover a double cleanser is needed (like a foaming facial wash), but as I uses it as a daily cleanser to remover daily sebum and debris, I don't feel the needs to double cleanse. The gentle cleansing oil is wonderful and smells full of Korean herbs. Pleasing the senses from the nose to the skin. The after feeling is a soft clean skin.

Continuing the routine with first care activating serum. The one that said to be their best seller.

Formulated to replenish essential moisture and nutrients and to boost the effect of every subsequent treatment. Milk-vetch, licorice, and dwarf lilyturf work synergistically to optimize the Korean herbal ingredients in the complete collection while deeply hydrating.

Apply morning and evening over cleansed face, spreading evenly with fingertips. Gently wrap the face with both hands for better absorption.

Why is it a best seller? It helps the skin to be fully ready accepting the next thing applied on the skin. Almost every brand are struggling on how to prepare the skin so they can absorbed the nutrients and nourishment from the precious ingredients prepared. Most of them are known as toner, lotion, softener, etc. So far, the First Care Activating Serum wins. The brownish clear almost gel-like liquid is amazing.

The feeling is comfortable on the skin, the product absorbed on the skin leaving no trails behind, another Korean herbs scent is felt, something feel medicinal here.

And the best part of using the first care activating serum is the product that I'm using next can be absorbed better, in this case, it's essential firming cream.

Restore elasticity and tone with this firming cream, blended with potent Korean medicinal herbs to instantly firm and tone slackened skin while stimulating collagen for long-term lift. The cream feels and looks so rich, white and beautiful. Again, the medicinal scent from Korean herbs, but for me, somehow they all smells good and comforting, even if ones dislike the scents, it will go away almost immediately.

Now, the problem with most firming cream is how rich and clingy they are. Thanks to the first care activating serum the cream glides easily on the skin and penetrates better, leaving no traces behind, no greasy, discomfort or like most creams do, creamy feeling that attracting many dirt and create a slightly oily feeling.

The combination between first care activating serum and the firming cream is wonderful and I can see why the serum is loved so much.

I do noticed the big differences when used together or alone, they are best used together and with the rest of the series.

Sulwhasoo Beauty Workshop

Hello lovelies,

who doesn't know Sulwhasoo, a beauty brand from South Korea that recently launched special items according to the country 'trademark', and from Indonesia, it's Monas.

But before we get to that point, Sulwhasoo also launch special items, all 200 or a not-so-mini packages that contribute to YCAB. They are not talking about 10%, Rp.5000, or so, but all net price is donated to YCAB.

Back to the Monas packaging, it is actually their number one product at Sulwhasoo, the pre serum, called First Care Activating Serum.

Just by adding another layer of paper on the outer layer the packaging transform into something so meaningful for one's country.

After sharing some information, we finally stated the workshop about these wonderful products. Their main ingredients are pine tree and red ginseng, where through research and exploring been made into a certain texture and molecules that suitable to be used as a skincare.

We've got to choose between pampered or do the routine by our self and I choose to do it by myself to help me learn about their products more.

The items given during the workshop started from a cleanser and all the way to makeup.

Before actually putting them on my skin one by one, I started by playing with the texture, aroma and learn about each of the items on the table. The fact that none of them contain paraben, natural ingredients, non scented (hence au naturel smell of the pine tree and red ginseng), and suitable for even the sensitive skin.

The texture of the pre serum is amazing, so light and absorbed in a matter of 2-3 seconds, the properties also to help another layer of skincare to be absorbed better, easier and faster too.

The cream looks thick yet the feeling is comfortable and most suitable to be used in our tropical climate as a night cream, but if you travel to a dry climate places, the product is suitable as a day and night cream.

And last, we top it off with powder, Sulwhasoo compact powder. Available in several shades that all comes with natural colors.

Overall, it is an enjoyable workshop that me and Hanna have. We feel the texture, learn more about Sulwhasoo and let our skin be pampered.
