Lakme Moon-Lit Highlighter

Hello lovelies,

Lakme Moon-Lit Highlighter is here, this is a highlighter and bronzer in one for those who want their look still appear natural and never overwhelming.

The product comes in a half and half circle container. Perfect for on the go.

-*-

-*-

That's the swatch, they look so gorgeous right?! Like the glow is very pretty and perfect for either day or night. I can use the bright ones on areas I want to highlight and brown one for bronzing, or people nowadays know it as contour. The powder is soft and smooth on the skin, easily applied and doesn't chalk on. It spread on the skin really well no matter what kind of powder brush I use. Simply applied with smaller brush for areas such as nose bridge or the inner corner of the eyes and wider brush for cheeks.

-*-

For me, the best thing about Moon-Lit Highlighter is how they play with light. It's not that kind of greasy glow or something that made people look in a irk way but it's just a pretty subtle gorgeous glow and it helps shape the feature, which for me, clearly it's the bronzer.

You do know what people say, right? Those with dark skin focus on highlighting while those with fair skin can focus on contouring.

Thank you so much Lakme Indonesia, see you again soon.

MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick

Hello lovelies,

these babies from MAC are my recent treasure and they are (for sure) pleasing and satisfying.

I've shared a review on the lippies before (here) and how much I love it. Now, here's another product not to be missed.

-*-

MAC Studio Fix Perfecting Stick and mine happens to be in NW50, a shade that is perfect as a contouring color for me.

The product comes in a crayon like container and as the auto stick easily twisted up to be used, it's a very hand tool for me.

-*-

The packaging is a bit fancy, like the rest of MAC products where the packaging is in black, this one has a bit of a sparks. The brown color on the end is the shade of the product inside.

-*-

A chubby twist-up concealer pencil with a precise rounded tip.

Its portability and mess-free application make it the perfect product for on-the-go touch-ups.

Usage

Apply to skin directly from applicator or with 195 Brush.

-*-

As someone who is blessed with chubby cheek and more than one chin, I personally, definitely, truly, need this item to contour. And it works like a charm.
It blends easily on the skin and stays. That's the best part, it stays.

-*-

And below is the final result of using it.

-*-

Here's one more fact that wonders me, it can be used on 'wet' and ' or dry condition, like before and after powder and they still blends well.

-*-

During 'wet' after all the liquid and before all the powders, I use beauty blender to blend the product and after powder and everything 'dry', I simply use a brush to help blending it again, and I love the final result as it definitely create a cheekbones I never had.

-*-

Thank you so much MAC Cosmetics for giving me a product that works, giving me that defined irresistible lines.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Total Cover Concealing and Contour Kit

Hello lovelies,

continuing with the hampers received from Sociolla and L'Oreal Paris, these three babies are among them. On this post, I'll share a review using the palette for concealing and contouring.

-*-

With 4 shades and 1 sponge, the kit is suitable for a fair to medium skin tone. The formula is creamy in texture and easy to be blended. I can use them alone for daily look and then a loose powder to sets in, it is perfect as a no makeup makeup look, or as an additional for my full coverage after a foundation.

-*-

You can use the sponge given, brush, or even a finger. I use a small corrector brush and easily spread them on my face according to a dimension or features that I want. The cheeks are preferred to be rounder, the nose is thinner and longer, the forehead is smaller, the cheek bones are more accentuated, and the chin is defined.

-*-

Since I'm blessed with double chin, I need to draw my jawline to make it more firmer and gave me a better 3D look. Of course, this is my formula at the moment, I can easily adapt the strokes and lines according to the look I want, and so do you. Everyone's face is indeed unique.

-*-

After drawing some lines with the shade I want, the lightest for highlights, the darkest for contour and the mid part for under the nose and some for concealing that one annoying acne on the cheek which as you can see are not that visible anymore. Do zoom in, it is rather hidden (clue: right cheek).

Using my favorite beauty blender (or the sponge also will do once it was been damped a bit) just dab dab dab everywhere to help blend them and even out.

-*-

Above is the base for my no makeup makeup look, simply ad some colors like lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, a tad of blush and so on. Or, make it a full one like the image below. I use the product after a foundation, so the base is set with a rather flawless skin to begin with. Total Cover Concealing and Contour Kit that was used after simply making the look more contoured and perfect.

-*-

It helps made my nose appear smaller and the nose bridge to be higher, sharper jawline, better cheekbones and a much rounded plumped cheeks.

The creams are so easy to be used and pretty much demi matte, so far the product works well with any other product (even brand) I have and not disappoint me. No crumble, no piling up, just easy breezy blendable product that adequately light.

Too Faced Let it Glow

Hello lovelies,

this is one Christmas item hard to be missed and I think it's still great for summer too with all the radiant glow, especially us who lives in the city and kinda missed those sunny beach radiant glow. It's a slightly different glow but I still can happily use them on events.

-*-

The product was on sale on Sephora a few weeks ago and perhaps that's the reason I noticed it. The sale product are gathered near the entrance and clearly seen, I know that most of them expired within a year and usually in countries like USA or Europe, these kinds are already sold over 90% off or perhaps discarded while it's still on sale here in Indonesia.

Oh well,... this is Let it Glow after all, as seen below, it consist of 3 small containers of blush, highlights and bronzer. Pretty much something that I can use within 6-8 months.

-*-

-*-

This is Love Flush Blush in Love Hangover, a beautiful shade of a healthy pink which I found to be irresistible. I use it on my cheeks on the first image above. Well, I use all three of them on the first image. It's so gorgeous and I love how the lights bounce off them, they look so pretty and like I have that irresistible glow.

Added with the Candlelight Glow Highlighting Duo in Rosy Glow. A two tone highlights that is perfect for just about anytime. I love it during the evening, afternoon, or even day time. I can simply add them or put it down gently with a faint glow for that subtle touch or during special occasion I can add some more.

-*-

They look super pretty right, so girly and adorable. I remember going to an evening that day using this two tones that look so beautiful and it boost my confidence. I love how it made my cheeks looks sultry soft and super smooth. It's a perfect one I've been searching all these time.  The radiance that attractive and doesn't seems like I'm oily or sweating (like some highlights I found) and the pearly luminesce is quintessential.

-*-

Last but not least, Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer that can be used for eyeshadow too, the four delectable shades of perfect harmony. Snowy white, chocolate brown, glowing pink and beige.
Using a small brush, they can be used individually.

-*-

These bronzer is suitable for me giving a more tanned look than the rest. The choco brown as a contour and the highlights in between. One with super glow and the other with a more pale and white matte finish.. not really matte but compared to the snow white one. Whats great about them they are also last long, like almost the whole day, it stays really good and feels ultra comfortable for being airy light.

I've used them during a day out in Singapore where it was hot and humid since we spent most of our days being outdoor, yet the glows are still there. It's that iridescent flush I can't resist.

-*-

Overall, love it to the max!

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette

Hello lovelies,

it's so good to be back on my blog. I've been really caught up lately with a lots of things, my house is renovated, I've been going back and forth to IKEA, took a short holiday, getting sick and so on, and now finally I'm here again, doing something within my passion.

These babies are from USA, a relative just got back and she help me get these babies (along with other products too-will be shared in separate post) and I love how practical and useful they are.

Contouring has never been easier.

-*-

Rimmel’s first Sculpting & Highlighting Kit designed by Kate Moss.
• Soft shimmer powder to highlight the cheek bone, brow bone, centre of the chin and bridge of the nose.
• Shading powder to contour the sides of the nose, jaw line and forehead.
• Powder blush for colour and definition.

-*-

They have 3 available shades and the two are Golden Sands and Coral Glow. The other one which I do not have is Golden Bronze.

The differences lies in the number 3, their blush. Golden Sands has rosy to pinkish hue, where Coral Glow has a peachy coral blush. Their highlights and contour has a tad differences for lighter to darker skin tone. 001 Golden Sands is more to the lighter and 002 Coral Glow is for those whose in more natural shades. And perhaps 003 Golden Bronze are for those with darker tones.

But as for me, I could easily use 001 and 002 just fine.

-*-

Above is my before look, I'm using a BB Cream and a bit of powder to set the base, and then I apply some of the sculpting palette like in the description of the product details above. The powder is fine and easy to be used plus very comfortable too. I really like using it since it has particles that powdery and buildable at the same time. I can use it as soft as I want or a bold as I prefer. In this post I'm using 001 Golden Sands.

-*-

And then, for the final finish, I can blend them easily for a better overall look that shines, highlights, glows and create a three dimensional finish.

The product works well with any other base that I have at home, it doesn't noodles, nor clumps. And I really love that luminous touch, like my skin is a pearl.

-*-

This one is definitely a keeper, would love to keep using the product, it has everything I need and helps me appear better too without looking like overly done.

Etude House Play 101 Stick Duo

Hello lovelies,

similar to my previous post, it's about contouring and highlighting. While the Aura Highlights only focusing on highlights, Etude House Play 101 Stick Duo is like said, a duo, contouring and highlight in one.

-*-

cum shading stick expresses defining contour makeup by highlighting the nose bridge and chin line

  • Highlighter & shading duo stick

  • Easy blending, creamy texture

  • Quick & easy multi-auto stick

-*-

The product comes in a box with details, inside is a tube with two side, one with lighter shade acts as a highlight and the one with darker shade as a contour.

-*-

Information given on the box is compelling. Etude House has been an international brand, hence everything already given in English.

-*-

I find no problems at all reading the ingredients and other necessary details including how to and so on.

It was pretty much an easy product to be used and one can use it according to the shape of their face.

-*-

As for me, this is how I'm using the duo.

-*-

I'm focusing the highlights on my forehead, nose bridges, upper cheeks, chin and the contour goes to the sides of the nose, jawline, cheek bones and neck in vertical stripes.

-*-

I'm using the stick duo after a cc cream, hence it was still in the wet makeup. Blending the formula really does feels easy, too easy and we don't really have to blend them too well or they'll disappear. Using a beauty blender would be nice.

-*-

It helps creating the 3D effect that still comes off natural. I can add or reduce as I please, easy to be erased, easy to blend and easy to apply and re-apply, even after powder.

-*-

The product is available at Althea and they always have promotions and discounts going on, as Althea is having their first birthday, the giveaway is massive.

See you there!

STUDIOMAKEUP Sun Touch

Hello lovelies,

This is a product from STUDIOMAKEUP, a sun touch.

-*-

The packaging, container and product all in black with clear lid. Mine is in STB-02 sun, so I think there's several other shades available.

These types of powder can be used not just as bronzing powder, but helps with contour, add a bit of depth to the skin as well.

-*-

The powder is soft and smooth, perfect for professional use or personal, easy to be blend on the skin and have that slight touch of glow, like a sun kiss.

-*-

I have a fair skin and the bronzer pretty much made me look like I've been spending a day under the sun, like summer time is here!!!

-*-

I love how the formula stays in place and can be used as an additional finishing touch or before finishing powder. I don't recommend them to be used after a wet formula like a liquid foundation or some-sort as they stick more than you need.

The powder is comfortable and help me achieve that healthy tan in an instant.

-*-

Thank you STUDIOMAKEUP Indonesia.

Canmake Color Stick

Hello lovelies,

these are Canmake Color Stick for highlighting and contouring. I got these babies from Jean, she went to Hong Kong and she gave me these babies, thank you Jean ^__^

Actually, there's 5 shades of the original Color Stick, but I want these two as it can be used as a highlighter and contouring, knowing that Japanese always do a very mild (to none) in contouring and highlighting, these could be a perfect product to be used daily.

-*-

Instantly covers flaws to give you a brighter-looking complexion! For skin that looks even more beautiful than bare skin.

Pigment-free, Unperfumed, paraben-free, contains conditioning agents
This is not only a concealer that will cover flaws in your complexion; it is a multi-purpose cosmetic stick in a range of colors that can be used to cheeks and as highlighters to provide luster, translucence and definition. Moderately hard, it clings tightly to your skin and can be spread thinly over your face for a natural-looking complexion that looks even more beautiful than bare skin.
Apply directly with the stick or apply to your fingers and spread thinly over areas that have flaws or that you want to look more attractive. This product is considerably more effective if applied thinly and then reapplied with a patting motion.

-*-

The one I'm using as a highlighter is in shade 08
color image

[08] yellow gold☆

Use to combat brownish rings around the eyes from pigmentation caused by UV rays. For a bright, natural-looking luster. Can also be used on your T-zone and cheekbones to provide natural highlights

And the contouring is in shade 06
color image
[06] beige ochre
Use to combat dark blemishes, spots and freckles for a natural finish. Use on your nose and for shading

-*-

Above are the swatches of both products, as seen the highlighter is not too bright or highlighting and the one for shading is not deep as well. And on my skin they do look a bit ashy. This is perhaps due to the Japanese under tone which is cool. Those who have warm undertone won't be happy using it as it can look greyish than dark brown (which is more suitable to their skin tone).

-*-

Above is my before look and below is when I'm applying the shading/contouring first (06) and then on the right is the highlights (08).

-*-

Like seen, the colors are not really as vivid as we usually see in the 'contouring and highlighting world' so if you prefer a mild contouring and highlighting, these are the one for you. For those with dark skin can focus more on highlighting and those with light skin concentrate on contouring.

The thing is, these babies are not really compatible with just any brand, I prefer to use it with another Japanese brand foundation as they can be a bit difficult to blend. Especially on large pores like on the nose bridge. The close to sticky formula lifts up the foundation under it when blended.

Try blend them bit by bit in a more tapping motion or use a fine foundation brush to help out.

-*-

These are the finish look. Above is after using both products, as seen the nose are more defined, the cheeks are contoured and same goes with the forehead and chin.

Below is after putting on the whole makeup.

-*-

I have to be careful when putting on the powder as well and use a round flat powder brush to help clean up the excess powders on the areas using Color Stick as they do really clings, not just to the skin but anything I put on top and under it as well.

Overall,

A wonderful product from Canmake that are pretty in terms of packaging and design. The rotate-able stick makes using it easy and practical, no need sharpening and just use it on the skin. On special areas like contouring the nose bridge a finer brush is still needed as the stick is too wide for that particular area.

The product does relatively glide on smoothly but the slightly thick formula may lifted up the foundation beneath and made powders stick more than the areas that doesn't use them.

-*-

The yellow gold (highlights) are not really shiny and glitz, so it is mild in terms of giving a radiance highlights. It does reflects lights slightly better than Color Stick for shading. And the 06 is a bit more matte as well.

Most of all, it is perfect for those with cool undertone.

The product has a medium staying power and not really a whole day product, especially in Jakarta's hot and humid climate.
