JPP Skin Laser Clinic with Avene

Hello lovelies,

yesterday, I went to JPP Skin Laser Clinic to try on one of their signature treatment. The location of the clinic is at Central Park Mall lower ground area.

The place is near every other beauty treatments on that same floor.

JPP itself has 5 clinics in Jakarta, from Emporium Mall, Kota Kasablanca, Lippo Mal Kemang, Mal Kelapa Gading, and here, Central Park Mall in west Jakarta.

The clinic has a white luxurious minimalist design, sleek and looks pretty with a dash of red.

On the right side near the entrance, there's a place specially reserved for Avene.

The treatment today will be Avene with non-invansive laser treatment for me. The name of the treatment is Laser & Light Skin Rejuvenation.

Laser & Light Skin Rejuvenation

As we age, collagen breaks down, causing lines and wrinkles. Sun exposure damages collagen too and can cause pigment problems (brown spots), uneven tone and rought or leathery texture.
JPP laser treatement helps to remove dirt, bacteria and fine dust particles on your skin surface and pores. The first thing need to be done before the treatment start is that the therapist ask me some questions and there's consultation time where they explained everything from how safe it is, no downtime, fast, and what I'll experience during the treatment. It was pretty clear and they explain everything well, hence anyone who come can rest assured that the staffs will deliberate all the necessary information regarding the treatment.

There are several treatment you can choose in the clinic, and they also have invasive treatment for those who have scar issues or other problems, so do consult with the doctors first before proceeding Appointment also needed to make sure the efficiency of everyone's time.

After all the details are passed, they let me in and I have my own bed. My skin was cleansed using products from Avene before the procedure is done. The therapist repeatedly commented on my acne, yes, that one acne that happen to emerge during my PMS and she made a huge deal out of it on how I needed the whole Avene Cleanance set for that one acne.

Friends, one acne during one time of a month doesn't meant you have acne prone skin, so if someone suggest or insist you have a certain type of skin when it is not your everyday problem, don't listen to them.

The way the therapist kept focusing on that one acne made me feel very uncomfortable, I hope they can improve on that part.

Nevertheless, the rest of the treatment went well, the doctor is very kind and gentle, she hears me when I said I can't really tolerate paint and she reduce the level for the laser, which made the laser
treatment comfortable.

The light treatment is done by that same therapist again and she still doesn't leave my acne alone. And even after I said my skin is really dry, she is focusing on that one single acne (frustrating, I know), and in the end when the light therapy is done, she only want to give me sunscreen, without any moisturizer, when I ask for a moisturizer, she asked the doctor first, when the doctor said yes, she then gave me some (oh dear).

I wish the therapist could be a bit more sensitive and observing, she can learn it from the doctor on how to deal with clients and how to appear more caring to their needs instead of ehm, selling the products.

Avene itself is a brand with products that doesn't really need to be advertise thanks to it's quality, linked to the treatment, Avene products calmed the skin immediately and the spray helps cools down the skin too.

Overall, was it a good experience, hmm, the laser and light treatment itself is good and the doctor is very nice, there are rooms for improvements for the therapist.

Laser treatment has become a huge trend in Jakarta and the world too, it give people faster results and visible too. So there's a lot of competition there and customers will surely choose the ones that best for them in terms of budget, quality and experience.

LLCS at PPP Laser Clinic

Hello everyone!!!

Finally, this is my final post for PPP Laser Clinic, what a ride I've been having for the past 7 days, from getting the first LLCS, Combo Treatment, the first and second one of the Special Treatment which consist of PPP Lift that I love to all the LLCS for around 7 times. It's done.

I'm going back and forth numerous time to PPP Laser Clinic at LIppo Puri Mall where I signed up for.

The place is still as mentioned on my first post (HERE) and my opinion on Combo Treatment is still the same (HERE).

So what are we going to discuss here? It's the conclusion of all those treatments and hopefully more.

Take note that this is the only place where the doctors are recommending the laser treatment as often as possible (like everyday) since it is non ablative as in doesn't burn the skin. It is fast and they said to be accurate and effective, and bla bla bla. Seriously, they do said a lot of things but I want results and I want them to be visible now.

Well, this is as far as I can go as the deal was to give me a 7 days treatments.

My favorite treatment is of course the Special Treatment where it slimming and firming to the areas treated, it helps break down fat deposits and since I think I have some more than slim people, two treatment wont really do much, so if I was ask which treatment would I prefer, it's the Special Treatment by far.

And it turns out that different doctors give different experience and really is dr.B is the worst (read my previous experience at the post for Combo) as she puts to the 'max'. Doesn't literally means the energy level, but the energy level which she thinks to be giving me maximum benefit pain. And when she is doin LLCS, other doctors never let the tool that provide lights to touch my skin while when she's doing it, 'it' kept bumping into my skin, what's wrong? I do not know as during the light therapy my eyes are securely closed.

Do I have problems with other doctors, no I'm not and the experience was very much enjoyable. I can even went 3 times in a day for LLCS and I feel fine. There are bearable pain but the doctor to reduce the energy when I said I'm in pain and in return, I have a pleasant experience.

When the energy is reduced wont I see dramatic results? Will my skin wont get much benefit like when I'm cringing? I don't think so. The acne still dries off fast and I can still see results.

If in PPP Laser Clinic the pain equals result, I don't think Laser is the kind of treatment I'm looking for.

What do I see as a final result for this 7 days journey? Radiance, smoother and softer skin texture, an even complexion (info: all of these photos doesn't involved editing in terms of facial condition nor using any makeup as the skin has to be completely cleaned during procedure), and one thing for sure, the bacterial activity on my skin is reduced, perhaps they all die from the pain.

Will I ever come back here again? Yes! Special Treatments and LLCS for sure, and Combo Treatment only if anesthetic cream is applied and not with dr. B.

Skincare does absorbed better, my skin do need far less makeup than usual, and look at the image below,

PPP Combo (Micro Laser + Warm Touch + LLCS)

Hi everybody,

after my first experience at PPP where they did a Special Treatment as in PPP Lift and LLCS, I'm back to PPP at Puri. This day it's another doctor, seems like they do have a lot of doctors since I met different doctor for all my visits.

I was happy when I get in and out with a very red skin and the unbearable pain. The doctor keep insisting on putting on "maximum effect'" for 'my benefit' when I repeatedly told her, I do not want anything but low energy since I have very sensitive skin and low tolerance of pain.

Yet, she is insisting on medium level, where I have to keep asking dr.B to stop as it was really painful.

So this treatment is divided into 3-4 parts. I can handle Warm Touch as it is hot, definitely not warm for me, but not to the point where I want to scream, Micro Laser is painful and it was really the one that made me upset. It feels sting all over, not just little tiny ant bites but more like angry amazonian ant bites.

The saddest part is where the doctor refuse to turn down the energy, or at least, give me anesthetic cream.

Followed by LLCS which is the 'usual laser' and light therapy. The skin was already super sensitive and in pain, yet, dr.B still insisted on medium level. I do hate her.

My skin was not pinkish, rosy dewy, but dry, red like a boiled lobster and it felt so hot.

I have to use my V 10 Plus Okinawa Deep Sea Water Mask for around 7 times where every time it becomes dry, I kept on reapply.

It was really not a pleasant moments for me. When they say that they don't have downtime, I guess this treatment is not included.

I'm so happy that I have Hypersensitive Kit from Avene, I used them as well, especially the spray, it helps me a lot. I kept using the thermal water, from Evian Brumisateur (for baby) as well, like it kept the skin hydrated and less painful. Yes, there are still pain.

My skin flakes off around 48 hours after the treatment and it made using makeup into a horror movie. I already told dr.B that I do have photoshoot on the next day and full events ahead, and still gave me 'maximum' effects.

Perhaps, if I don't have events as many as these days, perhaps, if they put on some anesthetic cream, perhaps if there's less pain involves, it would be better. But that's not what happen.

I do not like to see my skin in such pain, looks so red and flakes off. Those who knows me can see that my skin are fine. In the age of 35 my skin was calculated to be in the year 27 and I'm happy about it. I only have one acne during PMS, I have very few dark spots and a very few lines, especially laughing lines and I guess that's it.

Perhaps I don't really need this kind of treatment.

Would I hate this treatment forever and ever? I don't think so. Perhaps there are times where I need one, perhaps, not that I want to, or perhaps when I can use anesthetic cream 30 minutes before the treatment.

How's my skin condition now?

After a day of pampering using Avene, Evian, V 10 Plus and generous amount of Clinique's iconic moisturizer, it's healing.

The redness subsiding, the dryness goes away, the heat and pain or sting whenever I put on some moisturizer after the treatment is all gone within 2-3 days.

The dead skin that comes off also stop within 3-4 days and I can wear makeup again.

There are a few acne still emerging, this is not a common view on my face but they are healing fast since I went back a couple days later for LLCS.

Overall, all the 'side effects' after PPP Combo is gone completely around 6-7 days. Does my skin becomes better? Glowing? Hmm, I really can't say right now. Seems like they are just recovering from the non invasive treatment.

Did I look so different then and now?

Talking about a treatment that is definitely more expensive than other kind of peeling available at other beauty clinics with a fraction of their price, hmm, I think I need to dig dipper for this issue.. The time, cost, energy and effectiveness of the combo treatment that made cringe in pain. Is it because of the doctor? Or the procedure itself?

I've done this once, so there's no way I can compare with another doctor (in terms of PPP Combo) or other terms.

Perhaps we'll just see until I finished the whole treatments with the whole 7 days program with PPP Laser Clinic.

PPP Laser Clinic Special Treatment

this is my first post for PPP Laser Clinic. A place where all laser treatments and others are possible (all facial).

They are currently have many branches in Jakarta and one is at Lippo Puri Mall.

The design is clean, white and blue details. Everything is written clearly on their walls and we can ask some questions at the front desk staff.

They have several treatments and the ones I'm trying (and will be trying) are 2x Special Treatment, 7x Laser & Light Cleansing System (LLCS), and 1x PPP Combo (Micro Laser + Warm Touch + LLCS).

This post is for my first visit and trying their Special Treatment.

Everything looks fine in front but inside was kinda a bummer. They don't have rooms like most clinics that I've visited, between one client and another are curtains. The bed is in super single size and the space is tiny. We can literally reach the other person's hand when we reach out to each other. Or at least close enough.

The consultation is a 1-2 minutes brief but doesn't really listen or look at the patient's client's needs, I've told the doctor that my pain tolerance are pretty low and I don't need nor want instant result, and they still put the laser on medium instead of low like I asked her to. The doctors insisted on maximum impact.

It was definitely not not painful, so there are pain involved, like tiny ants biting on my skin, or tiny needles touching the skin. And the heat on some areas are really uncomfortable.

I've tried laser treatments at other clinics and has been doing this laser treatments for years since 2010 in Singapore, and so far, PPP Laser Clinic gave me the most pain. And talking about pain, on my next post I'll share about PPP Combo which hurt me the most and made my skin so red (read it on my next posts ya).

I though Special Treatment was quite unique. It is definitely not as painful as the Combo, but during LLCS it is. LLCS is given on each treatment. When the laser is 'shoot' on me, it was the one that I said has many needles touching the skin, or like ants biting on the skin.

There's heat as well, but during Special Treatment, a roller is massaged on the skin using a cream as the 'lubricant', this one is my favorite part as it helps slimming and firming my chin.

Above is me, when arrived at the clinic, still looking so naive, don't know what do I get myself into.

Below is me inside the 'curtain cells', first our skin is being cleaned from everything that might 'bother' the laser or the treatments.

When the skin is completely cleaned by using a cleansing cream and foaming facial wash, a white cream is applied with a roller like tool that breaks fat, tone and firming the area it touches. The white cream itself said to contain collagen.

I asked the staff to put attention on my chin are I hate to have double chin and wants a firmer jawline.

This treatment is comfortable and I have nothing against it.

Right after it, my eyes are closed for the laser treatment and Light Cleaning System where the red lights are bombarded (it involves no pain whatsoever but different doctor different method I suppose, the doctor during my first visit doesn't involve touching my skin at all during the Light Cleaning System while the second one kept 'bumping' the tool on my skin during the Light Cleansing System).

During LLCS since my eyes are closed, no photos could be taken, I told the staff to please help me took pictures, she said yes, and then disappear into thin air and no where to be seen. So sorry for no images where taken during LLCS.

How about my feeling during LLCS, when the laser is 'applied' it has pain and heat (not warm, heat) felt on the skin, but that's it. When the doctor is done, I don't feel pain anymore. No redness nor discomfort, except for a few bumbs on my forehead and chin area that disappear after a night. The doctor already warned me about this and she said it is alright and no special treatment is needed.

What made me feel odd is that, in other clinics, I was told to avoid sun light, warm water, exercise, or any other treatment, some even said to be for a full week after. In PPP, they don't put any 'warning' on after care. Just advice on using s good sunscreen and avoid night cream that promote exfoliating, and that's it.

Conclusion on PPP Laser Clinic Special Treatment:

A quick treatment that only involve 20-30 minutes of my time from cleansing to therapy. It was fast and definitely suitable for those looking for instant or immediate effects on their skin. At least it is far more faster than using skincare or other method that I know (non surgical). Clients can see result within days or even hours (depends on the skin's condition). Those who have low pain tolerance should insist on lowering the energy of the laser, especially those who have very sensitive and dry skin. Even though the laser treatment eventually help the skin's condition but the process of getting there should be convenience too. 

Tips from me, bring your own moisturizer, since the one given by them is only suitable for normal to oily skin type with low sunscreen (SPF 15), so do bring your own skincare from toner, serum and moisturizer that promote hydration, moisturizing mask will also be good to be used right after the treatment. And never forget to use a very good and high protection sunblocks every day whenever the time says morning, day and before sun rise. Remember that removing your dark spots is PAINFUL, so it is best to prevent one.

Will I come back here? Definitely, I want another Special Treatment please and still want to see how my skin will turn out after the whole process is done.

Derma Crystal at EUROSKINLAB®

a few days ago, I was invited by Euromedica to try on some of their signature treatments. Euromedica has Euroskinlab and ESC in shorts for European Slimming Centre. There are several branches in Indonesia, mainly in Jakarta Euroskinlab is focusing on the skin and and ESC as a slimming center for the body. Some branch has both Euroskinlab and ESC, while some only have either one.

And the first treatment I'm going to experience is called Derma Crystal Laser Treatment .

I was told that the treatment can only be done here since this branch has the laser for my treatment. I've tried laser treatment a few times, once in Singapore fora skin rejuvenation that cost around 700 SGD and I remember the smell of a burning skin (or perhaps fine hairs). An anesthetic cream is also put on 30-60 minutes before the treatment to numb the skin's upper layer.

I was mentally prepared for my laser treatment at Euroskinlab.

The waiting room is small but suffice. Everything is made under appointment so perhaps everything is under a complete orderly management, hence a big waiting room is not needed. My kids are having fun thanks to the internet connection and wait patiently during my treatment. The staffs are wonderful, they are very kind and never even once gave me 'that look' when my baby cries. They supported me since I came until I went back. The doctor also so nice, she insisted I look after my baby until she is calm and happy before proceeding to any procedure from consultation to treatment.

The doctor (Dr. Cynthia) explained to me about the procedure, from the beginning to the end, what will I feel, what needed to be done, what will be the effects and so on. It was fast and she assured me, nothing can go wrong with the treatment and we can just proceed.

And I went into another side now, this is ESC, in the same building with Euroskinlab but on 'the other side' of the door. Look how different here is. The room is dimmed, the ambiance is far more relaxed, calm and feels like home.

And I have to sign some documents from making sure I understand about the effects to clearance that I'm not pregnant at the moment.

The next step is cleaning my skin completely on the areas that the laser will 'touch'.

I told the staff (Ms. Ani if I wasn't mistaken) that my cheeks are very sensitive hence I need her to really be careful when she cleans the area, and she listen to me. The whole process of cleansing and afterwards, whenever she touches my skin, she done it gently.

Taking a before picture in every angle is needed.

My nose is slightly crooked, I broke mine when I'm still around 7 years old and it is not as straight as it used to be.

After taking images, the areas where there's hair is covered. My eyebrows are safe under those white tape.

And the laser begin. start with this tingling and slightly warm sensation. A bit like tiny needles touching my skin, some areas like the upper cheeks is felt a bit pain, but everything is still comfortable even thou' I must admit that I'm a little bit scared since no numbing cream has been applied. So the whole procedure is using no anesthesia whatsoever.

There's this burnt smell on areas 'touched' by the laser, this is exactly the same smell whenever a laser treatment is done to me. It's the microscopic wound that later heals and create beautiful layers.

All the lasers are done by the doctor. There are three tools, the first one is the one with burning smell and like tiny needles touching my skin, the second one is heat. Like that wonderful heat grazing on top of the skin.

For me, this is like my favorite part between the three, like the sun on a perfect summer day.

The third and last one is a tool that actually touching the skin. It's like the end of a rounded pen, it's circling around and I think the doctor is paying attention on areas such as acne.

And then it's done. The whole treatment last around 30-45 minutes. From cleansing, laser treatments, soothing mask, moisturizer and sun protection. It is crucial to always use sun protection. Always avoid sun exposure, especially during peak hours 10 AM - 2 PM for around a week, warm and hot water for shower or bath, and excessive exercise. Kinda like after a wax or IPL.

The after effect of the laser is visible around 1-2 days after treatment and there's no downtime.

So you pretty much can do daily activity like normal (except those advice above of avoiding excessive sun, etc).

I'm glad that the whole process doesn't involve pain and no numbing cream is needed.

The procedure also pretty fast and for me, I can see immediate result. My face appear fresher and the skin becomes clearer.

Above is me after treatment, still in the laser room, and below is around 2 hours after the treatment and under the bright light (from the window). No makeup at all. I look super clear :D

And below is me around 5 days after Derma Crystal, the skin appear super clear and flawless. Makeup easily put on and I think on day 3 there's an area on my upper cheek that was coming off, around 5 mm2. But it coming off cleanly and without any pain nor redness.

Oh I love my skin, it look so smooth, spotless, clear and irresistibly fair.
