The details sounds so impressive and astonishing isn't it?! But imagine of using sticky, slimy eggs on to the skin (or hair), the smell and texture itself my put some off for a while. Again, due to aging or one of the thing that said to be aging is larger pores, it's just the way it is. The skin wasn't able to retain moisture as it is and loose it flexibility in keeping them tight, so the skin stays after enlarging. So the pores are like breathing things where they can become large or shrink, like when we were hot they will open up and when we are cold like after an ice mask, the pores are definitely shrinking.

Now, to keep the pores small, things need to be done in regular basis, and keeping them clean also one of the way, if they were clogged, they'll stay open. So cleanliness also one of the key, why don't we start with the cleanser then.

The product lathers well when added with water, but there's this tartness, like when you are touching white eggs that started to dry up, there's this sensation or feeling of rigid, I'm not saying it as a good or bad thing, more like describing as it is. The face feels weirdly clean thou, since there's this tart feeling. So, it kinda feels like there's some leftovers on the skin, it's a good thing that the other thing I have is their Cleansing Water.

A no-rinse cleansing water that immediately shrinks visible pores and leaves a refreshing finish without stickiness.

Directions

Sufficiently moisten a cotton pad with the product and lightly wipe your entire face. You can leave it on stubborn makeup to absorb for easier removal. Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water and finish with cold water.What?? So we need to rinse it or not??

Funny thing, the details said to use it on a cotton pad and it cleans the skin (kinda like micellar water) but then after that, they said to rinse it off (all the details are from The Face Shop official website), so it's a bit confusing for me to use it like toner or rinse it off. But I feel better with rinsing it off since again, there's this tartness or taut or tight feeling afterwards. Those who owns oily skin perhaps will enjoy this matte like feeling. But the sides of my nose feels a bit pain, like being too dry and irritated. Still, the rest of the face is fine, so perhaps I just keep on focusing on the upper cheeks near below the eyes area where the pores are visibly large and not anywhere else.

Those are seems to response well and appear shrunk. I like it.

Overall,

a relatively good daily cleanser (not makeup remover) that focusing on large pores, making them appear smaller like when using egg whites without the stickiness or slimy feeling of an egg, and not the gamy and smells too, so they smells pretty good. Those with oily skin will enjoy this product even more while those with combination to dry perhaps using the products on some areas that need the effects.

SkinFood Aqua Grape Bounce

Skin Food is one of my favorite brand from Korea thanks to their philosophy. I've collected some of their products and inspired by how they keep adding new series, one of the newest skincare are Aqua Grape Bounce (like the name could go any better).

I'm thinking of getting the full collection, but looking at my stocks at home, I think I'll take the serum and moisturizer first, they also handed me the rest of the series in travel size. Shopping in Korea will make you feel loved, they like giving so many freebies, it's a rewarding experience. I remember shopping in Olive Young and the staff just randomly pick out some full size goods from the counter and said, "this is for you" while putting it inside my plastic bag, I'm super duper happy :D

How to use

How to use

Cream:

What else made me happy, these skincare! It's ambushed with hydration, mineral waters and the texture is sooooooo good.The mist and the lotion is light and very much comfortable, creating this perfect ambiance on my skin, damp and supple so the next item can be taken easily, it's the serum. The one that comes in jelly like consistency and create the bouncy effect on the skin, a moist mochy like and dewy.

They all smells so refreshingly good, like a fresh grape like fruits. Slightly sweet in scent and aqua. It's delightful and addicting at the same time. I can see why Korean love their skincare, they plays a lot with texture, scent, and of course, the effect of using them. There's this lovely glow and the skin appear happier.

The moisturizing energy of 20% sea grape extract and 40% deep sea water from Ulleungdo. Dense moisture and antioxidant firming energy found in the sea immediately moisturize dry skin without vitality and keep it healthy and firm.​

Dispense Bubble Serum on your palms. Gently cover your face with your hands to apply the product. Lightly pat for 10 seconds or more to burst bubbles and let them absorb into skin.

And do I love those bubbles.

My skin is considerably dry, but anyone can use the serum and the moisturizer too since they don't have any greasy nor oily after effect, after being nicely absorbed the skin feels soft and not sticky.

The serum is smeared on the image above and the moisturizer on the image below. One is a clear gel and the other is a creamy white gel cream moisturizer. Both works together creating hydrating harmony for my skin to enjoy throughout the day.

To maximize the cooling sensation, it's recommended to use the product with Silicone Pack Brush, to avoid heating the product unnecessarily with your hands.

So I do recommend putting them inside the fridge for that extra cooling and gives the cream a safe place to stay since cool is the key in preserving the products.

Every day, I spent most of my time indoor under aircon, so my skin is facing dry air continuously. Since my skin is already dry, it need protection and these product give it to me in a right dosage. Firm, elasticity and vitality is visible when using them from the first usage and all the way routinely day by day. When the skin is properly hydrated, they look fresh and alive. And I'm definitely comfortable too.

I would surely continue using them on my daily basis, perfect as a day time skincare as they keep me looking freshly hydrated without looking oily. The radiance and dewy skin is spot on, I feel confident and calm as Aqua Grape Bounce kept my skin healthily moist.

living in Jakarta with it's super hot and humid weather could make us feel uncomfortable from time to time. Yes, we do have aircon, but using it non stop also not really good for the skin and body in general. Just simply use the product directly to the scalp, this is a pre shampoo or post shampoo treatment, I find them works well either way. The key is to apply them on the scalp and leave it there for 5 minutes. As each minute pass, the mints are definitely felt all over, it's awakening for sure and refreshing in so many ways. Like I was reminded of how when scalp is affected, the whole body feels the sensation too, like when your head is hot and sticky, this cooling and minty sensation also felt to the whole body and makes me invigorated.

Actually, I felt the sensation way before 5 minutes, so they works pretty fast and activate anything up there and energizing too. The cooling sensation last pretty long, when I wash my hair with a shampoo and condition, rinse everything off, I can still feel the minty-ness linger.

Like every time a wind blows it become a chilly breeze on my head and it cools me off all over, so it's like a top to toe experience in the end.

The mask is perfect for dry scalp, sensitive (but not open wound), it relieves minor itch too, and for those who perhaps suffering from dandruff due to the dry scalp can try using the mask as well.

As said before, Peppermint Fresh Scalp Cooling Mask can be used after or before shampooing, just don't forget to rinse everything off so there's no leftovers. It's never a good thing to leave a mask when it should be rinses out well.

This product may be made for dry scalp, but oily scalp like mine can still use it, simply masked the scalp as a pre shampoo, so after using the mask, rinse it off and use our regular shampoo to cleanses everything well so there's no leftovers on the scalp. So you'll get the chill without the oils.

It's Lip and Cheek time!!! This little baby is adorable, look at the color.

The texture is creamy and comfortable, the product smells like berry. I'm dabbing it some on my cheeks.

And gently blend it using fingers. The formula is perfect to be used after the 'wet' base (like liquid foundie, BB Cream, etc) and before loose powder as it sets and 'dries' everything up.
