A lot of bloggers were invited and the event is held in full scale. Introduction, presentation to inspiring share by famous Indonesian makeup artists are all here.

-*-

The launching product is a mascara, but of course when using makeup, it all takes some to make them work. Eyeliner, Eyeshadow and then the product of the day, mascara.

Max Factor has several type of mascara, eyeliners, and eyeshadow. Seems like the focus of the day is eye makeup.

-*-

And we get to play with them during the event, hooray!!

I think they brought most of the shades in their eyeshadow collection.

-*-

Which one is your favorite?

-*-

Three men who doesn't need further introduction sharing us how they would use the products and experiences with Max Factor.

After all, Max Factor is the makeup of makeup artist.

-*-

Since I have to leave early, I have to missed some of the presentation when the makeup artists on the stage.

Still, I get to share with you some of the products from Max Factor. 2 mascaras, 1 eyeliner and 2 eyeshadow palettes.

-*-

False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara, Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara, Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner,

The intense black, velvet formula glides on smoothly and dries quickly for chic sophistication or bold drama. The paddle-shaped tip gives you two glamorous looks in one: thick and dramatic, or fine and elegant, so you can dial up the drama to suit your look.

  • Switch from thick line to thin line in a flash
  • Intensity of a liquid eyeliner with the precision of a pencil
  • Two looks from one versatile and easy to use paddle tip
two Smokey Eye Drama Kit

-*-

First, I'm using the eyeshadow for that irresistible smokey look. I guess a smokey never goes wrong. It helps defining the eyes. For those with monolid like me, a tape would be useful. If not, the eyeshadow will pretty much hidden behind those lids  >.<.

-*-

A unique tip eyeliner is next. It was a felt tip, which reminds me a lot of those colorful marker we love to play when we were kids, the feeling of using it when it touches the skin is similar, but this time we're playing with eye makeup.

It is not a easy and as precision as I want it to, perhaps a bit of practice would help. The color is black and satisfying, but the tip is not fine. Kinda like a paddle.

-*-

The felt tip is suitable for using the eyeliner in dotting method instead of one straight line. It has that grip to the skin which is kind making drawing straight line not really smooth. But the grip, size and shape of the pen itself is pretty good. So I get a good control over the product.

-*-

TOP TIPS FOR HOW TO APPLY the mascara
  • 1
Push the fins deep into the roots.
  • 2
Wiggle at the roots to coat and lift lashes.
  • 3
Separate the lashes with the tip

The mascara has a large wand, too large for my lashes. It is not easy to grip the short lashes.

The formula comes in solid black color, water resistant, but doesn't really stand a change against mine. I have greasy eyelids, so I need a mascara that comes with sebum proof and sweat proof as well.

-*-

The eyeshadow has a relatively good solid color, there are some fallout, the texture is like a fine powder, easy to be used and the palette is suffice for several look.

Tips: Put some loose powder under the eyes to help remove the fallout. Use a big brush for powder afterwards to remove the loose powder and the fallout at the same time.

-*-

Since I have monolid, do excuse me, all of my pictures here would be me looking down >.<.

-*-

Conclusion:

a good mascara for anyone with long lashes as it pulls and made them have more volume for that false lash effect but kinda tricky to be used by those (like me) with short lashes. Resist water but doesn't have the power against sweat and sebum.

The eyeliner is unique, the tip is like a paddle and not pointy. Need practice on using it and water resistant (not sebum and sweat proof as well).
Easily create a bold eye lines with the solid dark color and formula. It took them seconds to dry on dry air.

Last but not least is the eyeshadow palette with 4 shade gradation from light to dark. Watch out for fallout, apart from that, it's all good.

Thank you Max Factor Indonesia.

Max Factor Lipstick

Hello everyone,

Some time ago I was invited by Max Factor to attend another beauty class. Like usual, when everyone is busy paying attention to Iwan Harun, beauty bloggers are busy swatchings and playing with the makeup set in front of them

How can we're not?! Max Factor provide us new items to be our 'tester' during the workshop so we are happily plays around putting them directly onto our skin..

-*-

The first thing that I played with is the matte lipstick, I swatches all 12 of them.

-*-

The colors varied from pink, red, orange, coral, nude, brown to even purple. They are pretty pigmented and easy to be used. Even thou the final finish is matte, when used, they are still pretty much comfortable.

-*-

Aside from the matte collection, here are the balms. A bit more sheer but still deliver pigment with more moisturizing effect, suitable for those who are looking
 lipstick that gives glossy finish.

-*-

There are 9 of them, pink, orange, coral, red, to nudes.

Check out my instagram account @carnellin to see their numbers, same goes with the matte lippies as well.

As seen below, these lip balms still carry some color.

-*-

Aside from the lippies, here are the blush on, I think I've shared them before on my previous posts.

-*-

The baked blush are also come in a pretty decent hue, since I love a pink rosy cheek, berry is my preference.

Fret not, nude, golden, mild coral and a hint of rosy cheek are still available for you to pick.

-*-

While playing, the makeup demo is finish with a simple day look.

-*-

Followed after the first makeup demo, is the evening glam look with a more serious do on the eyes.

-*-

She does look glam isn't she?!

-*-

And, since it will be Christmas soon, I guess I have to be kinder and bring those images here ^__^ Here are the swatches including the numbers too!!!

-*-

Above is the matte and below is the lip balm.

Which one do you prefer?

With these many options you could also make ombre lip color with different texture as well.

-*-

Thank you so much Max Factor Indonesia, I'll be sure to have a good time playing with the makeup.

-*-

See you again soon!!

Max Factor Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick and Colour Intensifying Lipbalm

Hello lovelies,

these are two babies from Max Factor that I got from the recent event (and read the full details as well), here.

-*-

Yes, this is Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick in Always Chic (lying down) and Colour Intensifying Lipbalm in Rich Chocolate (standing up).

-*-

The swatches, the top is Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick, looks pigmented red, so pretty and wait till you see how it goes on me.

-*-

Look at how the red ravishing on my lips, so vivid and the color is just pretty, I didn't use any lip liner, just the lipstick alone.

-*-

Fulfilling, covering, lightweight and doesn't run

-*-

It completed a look, like I'm ready for just about anything.

-*-

And below is the Colour Intensifying Lipbalm, yes it is a balm hence the swatch is rather sheer but what it does to the lips after lipstick or putting on a stain is superb, I love how it made red colored lipstick looks like wine.

-*-

Below is the look I made from using Always Chic and top it off with a bit of Rich Chocolate.

-*-

And below is when using the Rich Chocolate after a light hint of lip stain in red shade.

-*-

They both looks beautiful aren't they?!

-*-

So, what do you think? Do you prefer an intense colored lipstick like Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick that doesn't wear off easily and rarely made your lips goes nude even after drinking (but not after heavy meals), or a Colour Intensifying Lipbalm that gives color but more like a hint or sheer?

The Rich Chocolate is so forgiving and I can use it for that cool sophisticated look, the chocolate doesn't made me looks like I just ate a bar but more to the wine, especially when paired with red.

-*-

Or a uni tone red lips that deserve attention?

-*-

Either one looks and smell great too, like a fruity with a bit of floral, scented but not too much, covering and not overwhelming, stays on the lips as long as there's no contact and the vividness of the color stays bright for hours.

Thank you max Factor Indonesia.

Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation (and a bit of Creme Puff Blush)

Hello lovelies,

on my previous post (here) I was given by Max Factor several products from their event of House of Glamour. And at this post I'll be sharing about two items, Creme Puff Blush and Skin Luminizer Foundation.

-*-

Above is me wearing the Creme Puff Blush that surprisingly quite bold. I use just a swipe and the color is just there. And I do wish the gradation is more visible and after a few hours they do fade off.

-*-

Above image is freshly applied and below after around 4-5 hours.

-*-

And now, the review for Skin Luminizer, a foundation that can become an all in one product for base makeup.
You may read the details from the website and more information on my previous post (here).

-*-

The foundation, is like any other foundation, comes in several shades, 35 Pearl Beige is happen to be the fairest shade available.

-*-

Details of the ingredients is written clearly on the pump bottle. The swirl will become mixed up when pumped like shown below.

-*-

I'm using a dry sponge. The product itself is creamy and does feel rich on the skin. It blends easily and on my skin they do feel drying as in have a matte finish. Perhaps because the condition on my skin is currently very dry, but I think the product does suits those with normal to oily skin type for the mattefying effect. Like I'm using a powder or some sort when I'm clearly not.

-*-

These are the images of my skin after using the product. It unifies the skin tone, covers the pores, and hide imperfection, the coverage is not maximum, it's more to the medium.

-*-

The coverage can be build by using a concealer and powder afterwards.

-*-

For me, I'm just adding a bit of loose powder on the T-zone and leaves the rest of the area without powder since the foundation is matte enough for my dry skin.

-*-

The product reflects lights hence it does promote that 'dewy' finish when on the skin it is actually mattefying and suitable as a long wear foundie. You just need to touch up by adding some loose powder.

-*-

On the other hand, if you happen to have a combination of oily skin to oily, the foundation will melt after a few hours. Do use a mattefying powder to help them stay longer on the skin.

-*-

Below is the image after using them for 4 hours. They still look great but the signs of melting down is definitely seen.

-*-

Overall,

A light base with creamy formula and texture that can be used easily with a sponge. The foundation act as a second skin and improves the skin appearance by covering imperfection such as redness, large pores, fine lines, but does not hides major problems completely. So it's kinda like a light to medium coverage. The coverage itself is buildable by adding concealer, powder such as loose powder and compact powder. Those with oily skin will need to all a mattefying powder to kept them from melting. There's that lovely glow that this foundation gives which reminds me of a beautiful sunset.

Thank you so much Max Factor Indonesia for the product and see you soon.
