Irwan Team Hair Design

Hello lovelies,

yesterday I went to newly opened branch of Irwan Team Hair Design in Lippo Mall Puri. The location is in the LG area, the same level where Hypermart and many restaurants as well. It was snugged inside the curve on the way to the parking lot.

The salon is big and can serve around 20-30 people at once.

Invited through Clozette Indonesia, me and some other bloggers get to try their service as we pick. I choose a ritual by Kerastase.

As usual, in the salon, there's a designated area for Kerastase service, it was on the upper side of the salon.

5-6 guests can be inside the room comfortably. We get to have our hair checked and then the diagnose will determine which products suits us best. My oily scalp gets to have a shampoo for oily scalp, the very damaged hair get to be pampered by their variants that help re-structured the hair follicles.

The treatment last around 90 minutes from wash, mask, massage (shoulder, feet and hands), steam or may I say fog since it doesn't feel hot, and then wash with conditioner on the tips of the hair. During wash, the chair are equipped with a massaging rotating thingy. It was so comfortable and I think that was almost the highlight of my ritual :D

After the whole treatment is finished, I changed back to my clothes and told to went down stair for hair drying and styling.

Since I want something new, I asks the staffs to give me some curls. Apparently, there's an addition to the price, it was kinda a confusing since I was told there wont be any additional fee, but during payment, there is. The staffs did not apologize, they are just insist that they said it wrong at first and additional fee existed. Hmm, perhaps other customer should ask numerous times to numerous staffs to make sure this thing doesn't happen again. It's just uncomfortable.

Since my hair have lacks of volume, the staff who did my hair did a great job in creating volume first and then curls them. I love the curls, they look like I was just having a perm.

A hairspray is added so the style can last a day. And my hair still smells so good from the ritual.

Overall,

It is a wonderful experience with the treatment, I wish the staff could have inform me the additional price and be consistent all the way to the end. Styling wise: Love it!! The space is big and the amenities is super fine. The room for Kerastase is beautiful and suitable for a relaxing day in the salon.

Hair Lounge by Ryoji Sakate

Hello lovelies,

As my hair goes weary with the blue green manic panic and hair manicure. And the outdated style which need major reconstruction, finally, I went to Hair Lounge by Ryoji Sakate. A place where Japanese hair stylists and trends meet.

The location is at Senopati and right above some restaurants. The place is decorated minimalism, it is a huge trend in Japan and many Japanese hair salon also embrace this idea hence they look kinda similar. I've been to a Japanese hair salon since 10 years ago when I was in Singapore.

Everything is made by appointment, so please do call them in advance and set up a date, plus information for what kind of service you're looking for as preparation will be made for efficiency and a better time management.

I was scheduled at 4 pm and went in when Takeshi is ready around 4.15 pm. I want a fresh cut, so a medium length bob is my choice. He cuts everything nicely and with the similar techniques done in Japan. The whole process took around 90 minutes, we keep consulting, he asked me what I want, Takeshi gaves input and so on, until the desired length and style is achieved.

Now, as the cut has been made, it's time to start with the next step of my makeover.

Coloring.

I want a lavender colored hair, as a fan of that particular flower, I want my hair to look like it, plus with a hint of pinks.

Since my hair is colored with many process and stuffs, Shierley decided to start with bleaching and the colored the hair in suing purple and pink in stripes.

The result was amazing, my hair looks like grape with peaches.

The process took around 3 hours but it just worth the time consumed making this lovely colors.

The bleach feels sharp at the nose and the color made the scalp feels hot. But it's bearable, and last only a while.

The studio is dimmed and the lighting is yellowish.

During the day light and outdoor the color is so fresh and young.

The curls are made using thongs that will definitely gone after the first wash. But the stye and color last, at least for the style. The color on the other hand, will last approximately 2-3 months.

I must say, up to this moment, Kerastase has the best ritual in Indonesia in terms of treatments. The massaging technique, products used and environment at the salon is simply addictive.

Fusio Dose is launched in 2011 and pretty much gain success since it show immediate results, and when used regularly the hair condition will improve.

My favorite is the orange one, similar to Oleo Relax, it made my hair calms and looks so good.

The event started pretty late, I arrived around 4.30 PM and the event finally started around 6.15 PM.

While waiting, all the guests can take pictures, read about the products and enjoy meals served by The Dharmawangsa, but I still wish the event could have started earlier so I can stay until the end.

There are areas made like in the salon, each guests with specific hair condition and needs are becoming the showcase.

Skin Rejuvenation TOUCH Beauty Asia

last week I was invited by TOUCH, a beauty clinic that offers services like hair removal, facial, and even underarm brightening.

According to the staffs, TOUCH is famous for their permanent hair removal and the skin rejuvenation. I went there for Skin Rejuvenation and Underarm Brightening services.

The location of TOUCH I visited is at Menteng Central, not really convenient in terms of accessibility but inside the TOUCH itself is pleasant and comfortable.

The room is nice and clean, it is basic without TV, but wifi is provided. Still, for the skin rejuvenation my eye would be closed as well.

The process of Skin Rejuvenantion is pretty fast, around 35 minutes or so and the therapist do listen to me when I mentioned that my cheeks are very sensitive. Most place would insist that they do it gently, when it is so not true. My cheeks always ends with redness and irritation, but at the TOUCH, the therapist avoid the cheeks and only scrubs, gently peels and focusing the lights on any other area than the cheeks. Thank you so much for listening to me.

The result is a clearer skin with softness and radiance that I love. Dead skin cells are removed and the cheeks are still happy. Skincare absorbed better afterwards and makeup also applied finer as well.

My tips would be, bring your own skincare after the process, since they only provide an anti inflammation liquid and sunscreen. Do bring your own moisturizer.

And above is my underarm condition before and after the treatment. The treatment itself is really fast, around 15 minutes. Which include cleansing, applying some kind of peeling liquid for around 5 minutes and that's it.

According to the therapist, I need around 5 times for a total brightness.

Deodorant, excessive exercise, sun exposure is not allowed for around 4 days after the treatment.

The feeling is a bit tingling to almost itchy, but overall comfortable and convenient.

Above is me after the treatments and I'm pretty happy with the treatments I received that day, the result is fast, the treatments are convenient plus fast too. Everyone could have it during lunch time and they are ready to go.

After the Skin Rejuvenation it is similar to underarm brightening, avoid excessive sunlight, always use sunscreen, don't scrub nor peel the skin for more than a week, and avoid warm water too for a few days ahead.

I went there a few days ago to get my hair done. It's been a while and my hair need a constant 'update' so I opted for a hair color and offered to get a hair cut as well. I want a long bob, but still in a range that is safe for my chubby face (hint for beauty clinics to offer me threadlift).

The hair color was done by Mira and the hair cut is by Babe. They are really good in what they do. Mira was experienced in hair coloring for sure, she knows what happen when she put light blonde to my burgundy colored hair and the process also convenient.

She already told me that this is the best result I can get without the need of using a bleach. She understand the chemicals of the products really well and explain it to me in a very comfortable way possible.

Little that many customer know, upon hair coloring, do pay attention on the hair condition before the coloring.
1. Is the hair strong enough to be colored or bleach?
2. When is the last time the hair went through a process and what kind is it?
3. For women it is always best to chemically process your hair when not in period or pms.
4. For anyone not to wash their hair at least 24 hours before chemical process.
and last but not least, take your time consulting with the stylist before making any decision, including possible allergic reaction to whether the particular style suits your needs and well for me, shape of my face (round aka chubby).

Around 2 hours, the hair is colored and cut nicely done. I love the final result. The cut is in decent length and the shape suits my frame.

Shiseido Hair Treatment at Apt Salon

Hello lovelies,

Last week I went to APT Salon at Central Park Mall. Located at UG level the salon is offering treatments using Shiseido Professional products.

Comes in several series according to the hair and scalp concerns accordingly.

Mine is oily scalp.

Using these products which directly applied to the scalp. The feeling is like a cool gel and the smell is fragrantly fresh. I do have the shampoo and conditioner as well from the same series.

It helps regulate the oils on the scalp so it wont be too oily and made the hair limp.

Oily scalp also make the hair doesn't grow as well as a normal scalp.

After applied evenly, I have to wait around 15 minutes before rinsing everything out, that 'cool gel' is also a shampoo.

After waiting, the hair is cleanse by adding a bit of water and let them lathered. Continued by a conditioner and I'm done.

The treatment is fast, it is done around 1 hour and cost Rp.300.000

This is my after look. The hair become so tidy and neat. The treatment cleaned the scalp well and the conditioner add shines to my hair.

The scalp area become fluffy now and not limp anymore.

I guess this treatment is suitable to be done once a week or according to the customer's need.

Wax Inc

Hi all,

have you ever try waxing? I think most of us have tried waxing or at least heard about it and think whether they should get one or not.

The thing is, there are hairs in places we wish they didn't grow. Like for ladies, the hair on their head is the most important part and the one at their armpit is their least ^^

According to many waxing salon, armpit in the no.1 location and bikini line is next.

So, after looking for waxing places near my home, I found Wax Inc at Pantai Indah Kapuk.

This is me, right before a wax is down, facing up. I use no makeup since well, this is not an event for it heehee. As seen, I have concerns and worries at my eyes, I'm scared of pain, and I'm getting a Brazilian wax here.

The place itself looks pretty and they are using the sugar wax, cold and hot. The cold one is pretty interesting, like thick sugar jelly and used only on areas that are a bit more painful when using hot, like in the middle part of a Brazilian wax (ouch!) as it pull out more and faster.

So they'll combine in both hot and cold in a treatment on different parts. I've tried both and they are both ... painful on certain areas.

In terms of technique, I think the staffs are actually quite good and they all get waxed from time to time so they can 'feel' the customers plus get practices. The place itself is never empty, there's always customers.

For me, I think I prefer to be waxed somewhere else since I know there's a place that offer less painful wax.

Since they are close, I still visited this place during 'emergency' moments ^^

Beside waxing, Wax Inc also offers nails service, massage (which is far beyond expectation), body scrub, and many more, please do take a look of their menu below.

Conclusion:

A place that offer sugar wax as their main service, located at Pantai Indah Kapuk area, slightly hidden from the main road. The place itself looks nice, but I think in terms of cleanliness and hygienic, they should improve. The waxing technique is okay and as painful as it can be, but bearable, it will sting for a while and you should bring your own after wax lotion/spray/ointment since they don't provide any.

I also dislike how they keep powdering the waxed area and wiping it off with tissue as it made everything more uncomfortable and the staff wipes from the back to the private part ( a huge no no).

The staffs also loves to chat between themselves and between rooms, which made customers also feel more uncomfortable.

I guess, there's a lot of room for improvements and potential to be better.

In term of price, they are in the reasonable area, they also have packages which means discounted price for more savings.
