Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief

I've been wanting to share everyone about these babies for a while now, as I've been using it for months and really enjoy the product which I think to be one of the best skincare there is.

As a fan of Origins and their holy grail products (which is never one or two) their mega mushrooms are one of my favorite. And they keep improving their formula to a better solution, adding more ingredients and mixture to create a one of a kind skincare that really works.

Here are Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Treatment Lotion and Serum.

One of the reason why Origins are up there is since they are pricey alright. I'm not going to sugar coated my words since every bottle cost around 2 to 3 Dior lipstick, so I'm going to share the product as it is.

They cost as they worth, they really do, they are like the best, you can simply come to their counter and ask them for a skin check or skin routine that fits you best, I can't really comment of the staffs, whether they did a good job or not in providing an ample information or suggesting the right skincare, since I never had that experience, but if you happens to know what your skin need, either hydration, acne care, aging, or like me, sensitivity issue that leads to redness, I'm getting myself a Mega Mushroom Skin Relief that made specifically for redness.

Redness itself doesn't just come as a discoloration, but a problem that occurs on sensitive skin due to many cause from allergy, irritation to even many more. The skin needs proper nutrition, care and solution that calms, protect and nourish while building strength to the cells.

Like said, both of them works together to soothe, calm, and protect the skin. In the end, the skin will tone down and relaxed, of course, feels very comfortable.

Use the watery treatment lotion first on a cleaned skin. The smell is kinda herbal, an earthy raw mushroom like herbs. It was pleasant and very easy to be used. I'm using it with my hands, cotton pad or a paper mask. It has a unique effect which I instantly feel, kinda rejuvenating. I expect it was something that soothing or calming, but it was pretty energizing, somehow my skin looks like they are suddenly wide awake, fresh and perks up.

Continues with the serum, a slightly milky creamy gel formula that has a similar scent. But this time it was different too, more calming, soothing and hydrating without forgetting the rejuvenating effect that gives a boost. The skin appear youthful, I see noticeable improvements as well in terms of color, the redness is disappearing, making my skin appear fairer and no uneven skin tone.

The synergy between these two are great, I wish I have the full collection from daily moisturizer and mask too. I just found out they have changed the name of the product into Skin Relief & Resilience, apparently the product also add the skin flexibility and ability to 'survive'.

The range are created with a collaboration with Dr. Weil, a famous physician and holistic medicine. The principle of using the mega mushroom is this.

Dr. Weil believes that the root of all skin problem is irritation, so by calming, soothe and protecting the skin, it has helps the skin in so many ways.

I love the product, the packaging, the sizes that was just right and the powerful ability in it.

Btw, this treatment lotion can also be used as a face mist, I've been carrying a small bottle of face mist everywhere (can be bought in Miniso or Muji). Spray the lotion anytime for a quick pick me up and the skin will thank you.

For the serum itself I think it's enough to be used twice daily for AM and PM before a moisturizer. I enjoy using it too and even taking all other anti aging serum as it works even better than them. It has replaced my vit c serum, oils serum and firming ones haha! I turn into an addict using the mega mushroom.

Overall,

clearly the best skincare set I've used and I will continue using them get some more Origins goodies, it would be like a treat for myself heehee.

Origins Out of Trouble

this is the final mask out of three, I've reviewed the one for hydration (sleeping mask), deep pore cleansing (with charcoal), and now, the one that people with acne-prone skin would love to use, Out of Trouble.

Which one is it? The one in the white tube.
Same size, same chubbiness, and later you'll see, they are all in the same high quality ingredients that speaks effectiveness.

Drink Up - Intensive is for dry skin or any skin that love hydration, Clear Improvements with charcoal that deep cleans and detoxing the skin, and now Out Of Trouble that I've been using to diminish my acne during that special time during a month where my zits are emerging with anger.

Some time they are tiny and easy to be forgotten, but sometime, they are raging with ooze and pain, it's undeniably annoying.

Like all of their products, everything is written clearly on the packaging, providing ample information like ingredients and how to use to make it effective.

This is probably the most suitable mask for oily skin too.

Suggested Usage:
-Layer over clean face and throat.

The color of the thick cream is white and immediately, I've notices the richness of the texture, yet still very smooth and soft, like they were blend very well.

The smell of salicylic acid is so obvious and noticeable alongside with other herbs commonly use for anti acne product, it was like they are using the best ingredients since it is so powerful.

Look at the image below, the acne that I've been talking about, the one that making me cringe.

This is the only mask out of the three that I've been using only on the area affected by oiliness and acne. So I don't use it all over. Since my skin is more to the dry side.

Still, this is by far the most comfortable anti acne, anti oil, purifying mask I've tried. Usually, they'll sting, irritate, and make me feel very uncomfortable with the dryness, but Out of Trouble have been purely gentle without neglecting their effectiveness. Which make it, again, probably the best mask I've tried for acne and oil care.

I can combine using the mask with others like the charcoal that deep cleans. Usually after using the mask, acne will disappear in 1-2 days without leaving a mark. This is what I find to be amazing, I know some people may have more problematic acne, so using it more often can help shorten the healing time, so the acne will become less raging. Sebum, greasy skin, are no longer felt, the skin will experience the cleanliness like never before and the skin stays matte longer without the side effect of dryness nor dehydration.

These three is definitely a must have collection for everyone, we all need a deep cleanse, nourishing and hydration, plus once in a while skin SOS with Out of Trouble. I'm definitely recommending the masks for everyone I love.

In this collection I'll share with you the Clear Improvement made for acne and oil control. Still, this product is made suitable for all skin type from dry, normal to oily, amazing isn't it?! So, those who have dry skin with acne, or normal skin with acne, or dehydrated skin with greasy oily, can all use this product.

What's so special about Clear Improvement? It's the active charcoal inside.

The thing about living in a tropical country where it is hot and humid (even when the rain season is here) is we sweat a lot and the pores tend to opened up due to the condition, hence we do attract dirt more than during dry or cold condition. That's why we need to take a shower twice a day and keeping ourselves clean more often.

Same goes with the face, it becomes oilier, stickier and for sure, attract more germs (hiks, cry out loud).

This is after cleansing, so there's no makeup whatsoever, the pores are visible since dirt are trapped, the nose especially, there's blackheads and acne on the side of the chin.

Above is the texture of the mask, not as dense nor thick like other charcoal mask I know, this is easier to distribute and dried up to making the skin feels pulled.

There's no sting, redness or allergic reaction to irritation, everything is pure comfort using Clear Improvement. I love it as sometime I feel concerned using products that cause tingling sensation on the skin.

I've been using the mask numerous time and always have a good time, I can use it with the other mask for acne (also from Origins) or alone all over my face for that 'detoxing' ability.

Use a brush for mask or your finger, it really doesn't matter.

The product has no distinct scent whatsoever, so it is perhaps unscented too, so the smell is pretty much like nothing (typical of charcoal).

Those with oily skin or acne prone or problems with smelly pores (due to being clogged) charcoal can cleanse everything well and absorb the smell too.

I love how they make this product as it is so gentle even to sensitive dry skin like mine, yet so effective even to my husband oily and acne prone skin. It's like my holy grail now, I can't never feel the same or looking for another product, I can see (ehm feel) why Origins become so famous (and pricey, hiks).

Enough with the feelings of using it, trust me it's so good, but you want to see result, right?! See the image below, the before after is so obvious.

Check out the pores on the upper cheeks and look at the amazing differences on my nose, the blackheads reduces by far and the skin appear in better mood thanks to the smaller pores. Like all the dirt have been sucked away by the mask, they are no longer have things that clogging. It is so good that the mask show significant improvement within single usage, this is why I keep using them and can't seem to get enough.

I'm using it on weekly basis to make the skin even more flawless. And of course, from cleaner and healthier skin comes better collaboration when using makeup.

I'm back with another mask for dry skin as I love these kind of masks, they are a sleep-in kinda mask where you can simply close your eyes and doze off without the need to rinse off or taking it off.

I've known Origins since around 2009 and been loving it ever since. They are definitely not in the budget friendly category, more like luxury items but for me, they worth the price. The ingredients, quality and effectiveness is well known.

I can go on and on about Origins and I remember that the first products that I used is from their mega mushroom collection.

After reading the details, wow, it seems like the ingredients are top notch. It helps slowing down aging and I want to wake up where my skin looks refreshed, supple and moist.

The yellowish rich cream feels light and the smell, of it is so good, reminds me a lot of one of Kiehl's product that use Apricot Kernel Oils as well. A sweet nutty fruity notes that boost my mood as well. Somehow, it smells fun.

Below, is the texture of the product and I'm often using it like a night cream, so it is not really as thick as mask during application but the effect is like a weekly mask. Even thou' I'm using it like twice a week since I'm addicted to the effect and smell, oh the smell is just so good, like it was freshly yums.

You might think, oh perhaps this one is only good for dry skin, in fact, once in a while we will suffer dryness, either it is conditional or something happen to our body, hence this mask will surely do to even an oily skin. Normal skin can also (for sure) enjoys and I can honestly says that sensitive skin can also enjoy the mask in peace.

Scent-wise, it was fragrant alright thanks to Apricot Kernel Oil but it's not that synthetic scent that bothering for the whole night, it will subside over time and peaceful sleep is for sure possible.

Waking up, my skin feels soft, delicate and I really like that bouncy moist effect. It equal to the price :D and the unbeatable healthy shine? Ohh, they made me look like I own this skin everyday.

Overall,
probably the best sleeping mask....ever.

Best scent, convenient without oily nor greasy nor oily feeling and unlike gel that usually kinda sticky, this one is pleasurably silky, so my pillow doesn't have to suffer. Absorbed fast too and leaves the skin with just enough moist that last until I woke up, even when I sleep sideways.
