the sun can be unbearable at times in Jakarta, and even thou' we stayed indoor, the sun still pretty hard to avoid. Reflection is part of the thing right now where the ray are still affecting our skin. So using sun protection every day is crucial whether you're outdoor or indoor.

And for those who are still saying hey, it's raining, so there's no need to use sunscreen or when it is cloudy, oh hohohoho, you're so wrong, the sun ray are still there, even can 'bounce' from cloud to cloud, so when it is still day time, do use sun protection at all cost.

What does all those ingredients means?

Damask rose extract - Deeply hydrating and soothes irritations, leaving the skin feeling healthy

The texture in real life photo? At first, it was white cream, and when distribute it will be a bit white and then it will be so transparent and velvety feeling. After a minute or so it become powdery and loving it. Using it alone or with makeup is no problem, the final texture on the skin is just superb. I love and how it turns out.

Some sun protection remains greasy hence using it before makeup can make makeup appear oily and some even make it look awful with noodling and creating cakey base. But Petal Velvet Sunaway is just perfect as a makeup base too. I love how it made my skin feels, I can use it on my face anytime during the day and for touch ups too.

The packaging and container is looking so pretty with pink and white with matte duff that gives the skin that almost same experience only powderer.

The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence SPF 50 PA++++

ever wonder what your life might turn out if you choose things differently?

When I was a little girl, there's this book where we can choose how the story would end, so these Disney Princesses can perhaps have different endings according to the option we made. And since it's just a book, we can simply get back to the first page and fix everything we want to fix.

But life it's a one way street where we can't never get back, whatever option we have chosen in the past, sometimes, well, most of the time, it's can't be fixed. We have to live the consequences as it is. We're at the point of the road where we choose to regret our decision for the rest of our life in despair and negativity, or live our best no matter what.

The thing is, same goes with whatever we choose to use on our skin too. If you happen to be like me, rarely use sunscreen, or perhaps when staying on the beach for the whole day, using sunscreen only seen as necessary as the first deep and no reapply ever remembered, spots might comes up. And most of the time, redness and sensitivity occurs.

What can I do, live with it! And in the better future (like now) use a good sunscreen that protects the skin from the sun by all means.

There's so many sunscreen on the market nowadays and easy to find one anywhere. However there's only a few that really works, fine texture and feel undoubtedly comfortable.

I like the one that doesn't feel heavy nor rich yet give suffice protection to the skin.

And thanks to The Body Shop Indonesia, I just find out that, sunscreen are supposed to be reapplied after 4 hours no matter how high the SPF is since it gets removed either partially or the effectiveness reduced by far from sweating, wiping or just doesn't work as best as when it was first applied, more like worn off.

Top it off with the Skin Defence as it helps to become the skin's umbrella from the sun. Prevention is always better.

The milky texture of Skin Defence is said to be the winner and loved by the speakers during the event. It is milk-to-water hence we can all imagine the lightness and how it felt on the skin. Fresh and dewy without being sticky nor uncomfortable in any way.

Which reminds me of the texture from one of the products in Drops of Light collection that is also light and watery-like.

Skin Defence is not as light as the lotion (like toner) from Drops of Light, but it is as comfortable as it is.

Upon use it is white and like a lotion in texture, but when touched and blended, it will turn clear and yes, watery, so the tag milk-to-water is simply spot on. The skin feels like using none, soft, velvety, no white cast, smells really good and flowery, it hug the skin comfortably and protect from the sun with the highest PA there is at the moment ++++.

The shades are mild and doesn't really made a huge differences as it is light in coverage, so it is definitely not a foundation.

It become like a sheer or hint of shades. Reminds me of a tinted moisturizer which only give a subtle tone.

The differences that it made is that the CCCOver provide an ample sun protection SPF 50 PA ++++, and cover not just the UVA and UVB but the blue light I've mentioned above. It's like superb! Use this for an all day long protection from the sun, radiation and effects from the lights as well as heat we would like to avoid.

Imagine how many hours we spend on the phone, either calling, browsing or even playing.

I don't have time to play games nowadays but I used to be an avid player. So I love playing video games, sitting down for hours and now through iPad, I can do it just about anytime.

Not to forget my hours with social medias.

I stay in front of my laptop around 2-3 hours per day. During events, I have to go out and get exposed by the sun around 2-3 hours as well. The lights are often so bright on the makeup studios, plus the phone, the one that gives me the most radiation due to the 'closeness'. Imagine an 12-15 hours of exposure, the skin will surely suffer.

Start from being dry to allergic reaction like redness, swelling, and so on.

Lancome even made a research where the problems made by blue light is a larger dark spots in term of sizes compared to the ones caused by the sun, so don't get too excited using the high sunblocks yet it doesn't provide 'umbrella' from the blue light.

I personally using Fresh Rosy, it has a subtle pink tone that made my skin looks prettier. It blends really well and doesn't gave me noticeable white cast. It has a faint coverage but do gives the skin a mild soft focus effect. The high protection from the sun, man made lights and blue light by the electronic items is spot on.

Queeny Aura Bod Lotion SPF 50 PA +++

This is the last of Muku Group products sent to me from last year.

It's Queeny Aura, a body lotion that does so much more, with high SPF power and it's instant whitening effect.

With UVA and UVB Protection, the body lotion conceal wrinkles, spots and other imperfection on the body. One more thing, it is waterproof too, so it is usable when we go on swimming during the day. A lot of sun screen on the market are usually doesn't stand a change against the water, this one pretty tough.

Apply the pinkist white lotion all over the body around 15 minutes before exposing them to the sun, the lotion is kinda thick and creamy too but doesn't feels heavy. I need to time to apply it since it is thick but it's kinda like applying base makeup for the body, it felt powdery as well.

The scent is mild and the differences are seen instantly upon using the lotion.

As the image shown below, the skin appear fairer, poreless, and like using a pantyhose or edited with a soft focus. I think this lotion is a BB Cream for the body.

Aside from it's sun protecting ability, the lotion can be used prior to wedding or photo-shoot so you'll get that bride-like effortless beauty with a fair and smooth skin appearance. Just add some body powder for a much softer focus effect and velvet, silky, plus powdery look.

Biore UV Perfect Spray SPF 50+ PA++++

UV protection is on the rise lately and almost every brand of cosmetic produce a sun protection products. And one invention that I really love is the one in spray.

With SPF 50+ and PA++++ (maximum protection at this moment) Biore, a leading brand in Japan, has launched a UV Perfect Spray.

It comes in a light blue bottle. There's a metal ball that makes sound whenever I shake the bottle and one of the feature is we can continue spraying even thou it is upside down.

Here's what is written behind the paper, and below is the closer look.

So it  is suitable for daily wear, for scalp, hair and body, perfect for outdoor activity and hard to reach body area.

The spray produce a fine particles hence using them feels so lightweight and the transparency is just  wonderful. No more white streaks here and there.

And since it is in clear formula, we can confidently use on areas such as hair, face, and just about anywhere without looking like using tons of sunblocks.

Does it made the skin looks oily? Nope, more like a subtle radiant glow. And it feels so comfortable, as if I'm using none.

How about when used on the scalp and hair, likewise, it felt like nothing. I don't use a lot on the scalp and hair, more like after a mist of them covering the 'overall' top area of my being and I'm done.

It is better when I didn't want to use a hat nor umbrella and my hair clearly needs a sun protection as well when outdoors to keep them healthy and fresh.

Does it melt or causing the makeup to melt? No they don't.

The minute it was sprayed, on that same minute it was dried and I can apply it after skincare or after everything is done. If you're worry that the product wont go well with your makeup, then just use it afterwards. Somehow it help the makeup set as well.

Will I keep using it? Definitely!

It is a very convenient UV Spray that works really well, including those who have sensitive skin and can't stand of the sun, it help reducing the redness by far.

The UV Perfect Spray SPF 50+ PA++++ can be used anywhere and everywhere, suitable for daily lifestyle or when going to the beach due to the high SPF protection, but you'll need to reapply after going into the water even thou it is water and sweat resistant since usually they are not resistant against sea water nor after swimming.

The fragrance is subtle and very mild, doesn't have a sticky texture whatsoever. Overall, a great product not to be missed, those who are too lazy to use a sunscreen wont have a reason of not wearing them anymore.....or perhaps they do, since this particular product is not yet available in Indonesia. Hopefully Biore will soon bring it here.

As seen, when first applied the Protective BB Cream looks glossy and watery, but they'll settle down in a matter of minutes into this soft velvety and powdery finish.

Both are suitable to be used on my skin, the 01 gives me a fairer skin but calms down after a while like a second skin and the 02 settles instantly with it's natural tone.

Below are my images after using no 01.

After using skincare, apply the Protective BB Cream and that's it. I didn't add any foundation, powder or any other layers on the skin. The product does provide that velvety powdery finish and very comfortable, especially for those with normal to oily skin condition. Those who are oily can add a bit more mattefying powder and those who owns very dry skin may add a bit more hydrating skincare before usage.

As seen, the finish looks natural, like a second skin, a much better second skin.

Poreless, velvety, even skin tone, soft looking skin that doesn't feel and doesn't look like I'm using makeup. Like this is the perfect base for that no makeup makeup look.

And of course, the best part goes to the ability to protect the skin from the sun. The full coverage from UVA and UVB is just superb. SPF 50 means 50 times stronger than our own natural strength against the sun ray and PA ++++ means 4x the ability to stays on our skin. It literally means all day long.

The packaging itself is quite small, but a tube can last for more than a month for sure.

When used during tough times (like sweating, outdoor photoshoots, etc) we can easily touch up. Powder is not really needed, or you can simply ass loose powder only for that fresh look all over again.
