This is a post dedicated for my sensitive scalp :)
Wait, sensitive? Usually people will talk about hair loss, oily scalp, dandruff, etc. Problems that usually occurred on scalp, sensitive? Pffft! It's not even a problem, or is it?
According to Ms. Muthia Pratiwy, a PR from Kerastase Indonesia, all scalp problem start from a sensitive scalp, then become oily or too dry, which result in hair loss or dandruff. So scalp problem start from . . . sensitive scalp. And treatment for problematic scalp starts from? Tackling the sensitivity and Kerastase has develop 2 items from the Kerastase Specifique. Bain Vital Dermo-Calm and Soin Haute-Tolerance.
Bain Vital Dermo-Calm:
A cleansing Bath for normal to combination hair and sensitive, stressed scalps.
• Hair is soft, supple, light and revitalised.
• Scalp is soothed.
Apply a hazelnut-sized amount of Bain Vital Dermo-Calm to wet hair. Massage into scalp and hair. Rinse and repeat application. Leave in for 2-3 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly.
• Callophylium oil to cool, calm and soothe irritation.
• Glycerol to moisturise the scalp.
• Piroctone Olamine, an anti-bacterial agent to stop itching.
and Soin Haute-Tolerance as a scalp tonic with Hydra Stress Complex to take care and keep the scalp soft and smooth. A gentle treatment for scalp with a subtle scent and colorless.
Use after shampooing, apply it over the scalp evenly, massage well and leave it on 1-2 minutes. Add a bit water to emulsify and rinse it well. May be use continually.
I've said 2 products correct? And what is Bain Prevention. It's a shampoo for my next step of hair growing system with Kerastase once the sensitivity is gone.
The problem that I have right now is oily scalp, and everything I did a scalp check in a salon or hair clinic, the machine can tell that I have a very active oil glands and some redness on the scalp. That's sensitivity.
I'll review 2 items now, the Bain Vital Dermo-Calm and Soin Haute-Tolerance. Bain Prevention will be review on the next posts (here's it just a glimpse/sneak peek).
These are the products. I love blue shampoo heehee, the color of clear blue in shampoo is always represent the product that's comforting and yes, calming.
The Soin Haute-Tolerance is a white lotion. A bit creamy but more to the lotion side.
Bain Vital Dermo-Calm is soothing and I really love the fresh aquatic scent. The effect on the hair is very lovely, at once the tresses relaxes and touch ably smooth and softer than before. On the scalp, the feeling is invigorating, calming and clean at the same time. It's different and something that everyone should try. Since the scalp feels calmer somehow when usually within a day my scalp already feels to oily gradually the oiliness reduces. There was a time where I have to wash my hair 2x daily, now it becomes 5 times a week, which for me it's a very good sign of a more resting scalp.
The shampoo doesn't work instantly reducing the oils. At first, I still have to wash my hair daily, then after a week or so, I noticed my scalp feels clean all day long, when in the past it feels oily after 6 hours. I'm still using this product now.
Soin Haute Tolerance, the white scalp tonic lotion. The lotion feels tingling on the scalp after 2 minutes or so, and then if leave on too long will be a bit itchy. So use it accordingly, which is clean the hair and scalp with shampoo, I'm using it as a pair with Bain Vital Dermo-Calm and then after shampooing and rinsing, applied the lotion (which is a bit runny when wet) on the scalp after dividing my hair per section and apply thin layer on the scalp. Massage them well to make sure an even distribution. Leave it on for 1-2 minutes only. Add a bit of water and emulsify before rinsing everything off.
Continue with my usual conditioner for colored hair on the tresses only.
The scalp feels soothe and calm. I use it 1-2 times week.
These two products (Bain Vital Dermo Calm and Soin Haute Tolerance) work side by side calming the scalp and later on I'll try to do a scalp diagnostic at saloons such as Anna Wijaya, Irwan Team and other Kerastase representative.
