The Body Shop has a wide range of skincare products and selections according to your skin type and need. Vitamin E is one of the range which is said suitable for any skin type, but for me it's more to the dry skin type with less other problem.
I'm trying the Cream Cleanser and Hydrating Toner now, here's a bit of info from thebodyshop.com.sg:
Vitamin E - Is a naturally powerful and one of the best antioxidants that help protect the skin against damaging environmental elements, such as the sun, pollution and cigarette smoke. · helps to neutralise free radicals which are destructive molecules that attack cell
Wheat germ oil - Moisturises, nourishes and helps to condition the skin. · is the richest natural source of vitamin e and provides additional antioxidant protection and moisturisation.
organic soya oil - Is very rich in essential fatty acids that help to repair the skin's moisture barrier, thus helping to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness.
Cream Cleanser
A light and creamy cleanser. It gently lifts dirt, make-up and impurities to leave the skin feeling soft, supple and smooth.
Hydrating Toner
A hydrating toner that removes traces of cleanser, dirt and make-up without drying the skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple and refreshed. It leaves a velvety feel on the skin.
My say:
The Cream Cleanser is thick, white and creamy with a distinctive scent like the rest of Vit E range of The Body Shop, I put it on my dirty dry skin and spread it on. While massaging I can't help but notice a smell like ammonia there, uncomfortable alright, is it just me?
The skin then become like slippery and a bit oily, I use the cotton to clean it up and it does takes the daily dirt of and some makeup but I do not recommend this product to be used near the eyes. Eyes wise always use the products that said ophthalmologist tested and clearly says safe to use on eye's zone.
Then the toner. The fluid feels a bit thick, like a thick clear water that smells like . . . the rest of vitamin E of The Body Shop haha! Like a subtle musk. And it helps clears up the Cream Cleanser but doesn't make the skin dry which reminds me of lotions from Japan and/or Korea where they use lotion instead of toner. I beg the differ and this Vitamin E toner should be called Lotion instead of Toner.
Overall, a suitable product for those suffering from dry skin, but still I do recommend to use a gentle foaming facial wash after the cleanser if you want to follow with the rest of the Vitamin E range which is the lotion ups I meant the toner, moisturizer, etc.
They do have a calming effect on my skin, I remember using it during traveling and those cold dry days these Vitamin E range by The Body Shop does soothe my skin in a jiffy. But if let say your skin is still in the normal, or combination or worse oily zone, you might want to use it sparingly.

ReplyDeleteVit E products from TBS may be use for all skin type, however the Tea Tree Oil range are made specifically for the acne prone skin, you might want to consider your option :)
