GlamGlow SuperMud Clearing Treatment and BrightMud Eye Treatment

Hello helloooo,

from my recent encounter with the people from GlamGlow, I'm getting excited to try their products again, as you may know or read from my post about GlamGlow YouthMud experience, I do blatantly said it sting, and I did as Glenn and Shannon (aksing for their responsibility >.~) and they reply by saying, don't stop! That's the sign of the product being working!

And a representative from GlamGlow Indonesia also told me the exact same thing, she does goes through that period of discomfort but get over it, revealing her better skin each time using the YouthMud.

So here I am, back with GlamGlow, this time I'm putting my trust on SuperMud and BrightMud.

Here are the products I have, please do mind the YouthMud, she also want to make an appearance on this post.

Let's start by using SuperMud since it took longer times, around 5-20minutes.

Here's the SuperMud, a mask that can be used daily when needed. Apply the mud on a cleaned and dry skin.

As suggested during the GlamGlow event in Jakarta some time ago, the mud can be used on several areas or all over the face. It can also be placed on the 'zits only' area too.

And yes, this mud is much more comfortable than my first time using the YouthMud.

Now, I'm continuing by using the BrightMud since it only need three minutes to work and then wipe it off.

The BrightMud is lighter in terms of texture and clearer compared to the YouthMud and SuperMud. Easily applied on the skin near the eyes, hmm, it is almost like a gel.

The feeling is comfortable and cooling. I did feel a temptation to leave it more than 3 minutes, but decided to obey the instruction.

I use it exactly 3 minutes.

And wipe it off. It is said on the video that the product is actually still working after being wipe off, for around 20 minutes.

And then, I continue to wait until 20 minutes for the SuperMud.

Knowing the fact I can wait until 20 minutes means the product doesn't sting on the skin, if it's sting or gives me burning sensation, I'll definitely rinse it off immediately.

After 20 minutes of enjoyable moment with SuperMud, a mud that has lighter texture and finer ingredients, I rinse everything off and below is my after condition.

The skin feels refreshed, the pores are tightens and no sebum visible.

Will I keep using it? I think so ^__^

Menard Lisciare Travel Kit Moist

Oh yes, you are pretty ^__~

I'm back with Menard as they've shared more travel kit products called Lisciare. Since it is only a travel kit, there's no way I can do an in depth review, hence, this post solely on experience of using the products .... while it last (max 4 days).

Here are the items, they are used 2 times a day (like any other skincare routine). It consist of Cleansing Cream, Washing Cream, Massage Cream, Lotion, Milk Lotion and Cream.

Lisciare

A skin care series that creates a firm and elastic skin texture that fills with moisture by increasing the water density of the skin.

The pinkish packaging is cute, very cute, okay, I'm a softy in terms of pastel packaging, they looks really interesting. Baby blue, milky pink, cloudy yellow and other pastel is just pretty.

Now, as most of high quality Japanese products, it always consist of more than 3 steps, so there are the double cleansing, massaging moment, pampering and hydrating.

All the products are in white. Different in texture of course, some are lighter, some are creamier, and some are oilier.

I'm starting the routine with a Cleansing Cream, made to help removing the makeup too.

The spatula provided is pretty neat, for girls with long nails the spatula helps getting the products. Then, gently massages the cream all over the skin in light circular movement. In Menard, there's no need to put pressure to the skin, any step are done in a light and gentle pressure.

After finished with the Cleansing Cream, gently removed them with lukewarm water or tissue, I prefer to rinse it off with water. Then continue with the Washing Cream. This product is best to be used with a foam net.

By adding water bits by bits the foam created will get more and more. The dense and fluffy foam is white and bouncy enough. How can you tell that the foam is ready? By putting it upside down and they are not falling.

Apply the 'mousse' on a wet face.

Again, gently move the foam all around the skin, make sure only the foam are touching the skin, not your fingers. So you're trying to move the foam here and there, like fluffy clouds gliding on the skin.

After finished playing with the clouds, it's time to rinse off (whyyyyyy?!)

And after rinsing off, appears a clear clean skin.

Continues with Massage Cream. Use an appropriate amount and gently massage so the circulation become better. Do a relaxing massage.

The skin should look oily like the image below. After finish before the lotion, rinse off the cream from the skin with lukewarm water or tissue off.

Continue with a lotion.

And then Milk Lotion.

Finished it off with the Cream. All the products used have this same pink flower delicate scent. It's lovely and mild.

The texture of the products are all wonderful and according to its function, the cleansing products does their job nicely, the foam, foamed up abundantly, the massage cream is slippery enough as a massaging cream, but don't over-massaged the skin as the product help to remove dead skin cells, the toner (lotion) is refreshing and the milky lotion pampers the skin making sure they are ready for the cream. Do you know it is always best to use moisturizer on a damp skin instead of a dry one.

Moist skin attracts moisturizer better.

Here it is, my after look of using Menard Lisciare from Cleansing cream all the way to the moisturizer. Clean, refreshed and feels moist.

Sebamed Anti-dry Derm-Soft Wash Emulsion

Hello sunshine,

yes, it's hot, post after post after post will be about me complaining the heat, I'm sorryyyy but I really dislike being in the heat and frankly turning on the air con 24/7 also not good for the skin and general health as the air doesn't really circulate. Plus we do more damage to the environment too, so hooray for fan (or going to the mall and enjoy free air con).

Now, what comes as a result between heat and me, equals sweat and need more showering. That's also the reasons why so many body cleanser are being review at my blog lately ^__^

Here's another one, the one that suits my needs just nice, Sebamed Anti-dry Derm-Soft Wash Emulsion.

One thing came into my mind when reading mild wash, anti-dry formula, emulsion, and smoothes the skin, somehow all I can think of is a lotion kinda texture, no bubbles and no cleanliness whatsoever. But not with Sebamed Derma-Soft Wash Emulsion. The product still lathers nicely and the bonus part for me is it can be used for face and body too.

The soap and alkali free product still lathers up nicely (not much, but enough), and the skin still get that clean feeling in the most comfortable way possible. Now as I'm pregnant, the skin on the tummy area stretches as far as needed. So on those stretches, the skin do become tight, need more moisture and cranky, so it's not just me who become cranky, my delicate skin as well, and we can only be satisfied by the best, not the most expensive, but the best in terms of function, usage and result.

As the skin stretches, sometime I do feel itchy and when usually not that dry, now become drier, and the heat also made me take showers more and longer, hence of course the skin become drier, but by using this particular product from Sebamed, even thou' I do frequent wash, the skin still stays happy, clean and happy to be exact. No signs of dryness. Highly recommended for those whose been suffering from a dry skin too, and as always, suitable for children's skin as well.

What does it looks like? A lovely clear gel with a mild fragrance. The aroma is soothing and just like the other products in the same range. A bit addictive for me right now since I've been using them for weeks. The gentle wash formula comforts the skin while cleaning, I don't use any loofah, sponges or anything to help build up the lather, just hands and pure happiness. it was said on the packaging to be used with 32-35 degree Celsius water (which is mild warm) to wash off the foam, but a cooler water in my case still do just fine.

As I do more experiment, I'm trying the emulsion on other skin type as well, my daughter's fine and delicate skin, and my husband's troubled, sensitive and easily irritated skin. In the end, they all feels the benefit of using Sebamed Anti-dry Derm-Soft Wash Emulsion, the fine and delicate skin stays moist and hydrated with softness felt. The sensitive, troubled and easily irritated skin become calmer hence less redness nor itchiness.

Matrix Sensoria Care (Refreshing Spa Cream Bath) in Fresh Mint

It's been hot or what?! I feel like 3x a day taking a shower is definitely not enough, it is so hooottt, I'm melting as I'm writing my post right now. And it took this heat as well for me to look for a minty products nicely tugged inside my bathroom, heehee, hi Matrix, how are you?! Yes, rainy season has finally over, no more chilly morning, more like throbbing sunshine.

The Fresh Mint moments has finally arrived. We've been using it for a week now, we? Everyone in my family want some minty action too.

As the product is only available at the salons with Matrix product and with an acupressure treatment of which I could not do it my self, this review is based only on the product and our personal massaging ability.

First, we cleaned the hair with shampoo, nothing different than other masking / creambath procedure. Toweled dry (no need to be too dry) then use the mask appropriately according to one's hair length and needs. The minty colored mask is no different in terms of texture with other creambath creamy cream, not too heavy, not too light, just right.

Then the pleasing aroma, the sensation on the scalp and like 5-10 minutes later, the mint will start kicking in, wow! I need this cooling freshness everyday. I tucked the hair in using a shower cap and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. It was really cold at this stage, only on the area applied. Then after waiting period is over and I feel alive again, I rinse it off with mildly warm water. The sensation on the head alone has cooled off the whole body. Bonus part, the hair become shinier, a bit more silkier and smells like Fresh Mint for the whole day.

Sebamed Multi Protect Sun Cream 50+

I'm back with Sebamed. They also carry a series known as Sun Care. Yes, Jakarta is very hot, yes, we live in a climate where involve the sun 'circulating around' us. At times I did think about the danger of too much sun, but I'm also thinking about spf products that also contain ingredients that aren't so beneficial to the skin.

Let's see what Sebamed has to offer.

There's a lot to take isn't it?! First, the UVA and UVB protection, what does it means?

UVA protection means, it protects the skin from aging due to the sun and UVB protection means, it protect the skin from pigmentation aka brown or dark spots.

The series comes in many many many varieties of SPFs, mine is in 50+, that's the highest they have. Multiple the number by 15 minutes and that's the time it provide for me under the sun being protected. Plus the intensive hydration and regeneration, water and swear resistant for up to 6 hours, and I read, it says, sand resistant too? Wow! It's time to go to the beach!!!

The formula also made for those with high sensitivity and sun intolerant. Sun intolerant? Yes, those which skin become so red like a boiled lobster within minutes under the sun. They need a good SPF 15-20 minutes before hitting the sun. So. always prep your skin indoor before going out ya as the lotion need to be settled first on the skin before doing their job.

The multi function product is suitable to be used on face and body. The lotion is white (like the image below), feels light on the skin, pH 5.5, free from harmful chemicals, easily applied and non greasy too.

For makeup user? The sun protection can be used under makeup, right after skincare. Now, I know it gives the skin a great protection under the sun, but for beauty enthusiast, I know your question, will it gives a white cast? Honestly, a bit yes. But since it can be used under makeup, a good powder should help ease it out.

Above is the image when first applied, and below after massaging them gently. As seen, the sun cream does sink in nicely, and the best thing as well, the product is suitable for kids too! The comfortable feeling is quite pleasant, even thou it contain high protection the product doesn't feel heavy and sticky on the skin. In fact, quite comfortable for daily usage. We do live in a tropical environment (South East Asia) so this product will definitely be beneficial. For daily usage I don't feel the need to touch up or reapply, I only reapply during swimming or baring the skin in a constant heat of the sun like at the beach.

Biore Body Foam Relaxing Aromatic

Hello lovelies,

this particular brand is actually my favorite brand, they are budget friendly, easy to be used and always comes in many different irresistible variant. Yes, Biore. So, when I'm looking at them at the store, I tend to buy them, but this time, I'm disappoint by the result -__-.

I love the scent so much but the drying effect is unbearable, within two days of using the soap, the skin starts to show signs of being too dry. White streaks when scratched and oh,  the skin feels itchy too because of the dry skin condition. Areas affected feels uncomfortable due to the dryness.  I must say, I really can't take it more than 2-3 days of using it. It does clean the skin (really clean) like mentioned on the packaging but I think it also stripped off the skin's natural moisture, is it just me being too sensitive?! I do not know, but I don't think this product works for me in terms of 'caring' the skin.

Pros: Abundant foam and delightful scent
Cons: Dries up my skin too much.

Sugar Pot in Pure Honey (for Waxing)

There's might be some unpleasant images here, don't say I didn't warned you.

Yup, it's about waxing and frankly speaking, waxing is no longer a new thing here, waxing places are sprouting everywhere in town. It is so different from 10 years ago where I think, I can only do a proper wax abroad. It's a very good thing that waxing become more 'approachable' >__<

Why do I like waxing?
First of all, the idea of pulling more hairs in one single striking movement than using epilator or worst plucking them one by one. Or the other common shaving method, usually cause more problems than solving, from the skin getting darker, irritations, to bumps and ouch!!! Ingrowns!! Arghh ... the horror.

I know waxing also have their own problem, from the unsanitized 'clinics' to the uneducated therapist. The thing is, now, it can be solved.

Sometime ago a representative from Sugar Pot gave me some of their products, 2 to be exact, and here they are:

How to Use Sugar Pot?
Sugar Pot dapat digunakan langsung tanpa dihangatkan namun dapat juga dihangatkan untuk kemudahan pengolesan.
1. Bersihkan bagian tubuh yang akan di sugar dan pastikan permukaan kulit kering. Taburkan bedak dan ratakan di permukaan kulit.
2. Oleskan pasta sugar menggunakan spatula ke daerah yang diinginkan mengikuti arah pertumbuhan rambut.
3. Tempelkan kain, tekan-tekan hingga kain menempel secara merata dengan pasta sugar seluruhnya.
4. Tarik kain berlawanan dengan arah pertumbuhan rambut secara CEPAT.
5. Setelah semua bagian yang diingini telah selesai di sugar, bersihkan bagian tersebut dengan air. Setelah itu bisa menggunakan baby cream untuk pencegahan iritasi lebih lanjut.

I starts with warming the pot in hot (not boiling) water. The honey melts in 5-10 minutes. I figure it will be much easier to do the process with a warm sugar since it will be easier to be applied and the warmth help open up the pores to 'loosen' the hair's root.

While waiting for the honey in the pot, here's is my model's armpit before the waxing action. In the direction, it is best for the hair to be at least 0.6cm long.

Ehm, heehee, trust me, it is best to leave the image slightly blurred and not so focused. This is the armpit hairs before, the hairs was around 0,7cm long.

And soon the Pure Honey melts and can be easily used now. Look how liquid it becomes.

And the smells, ooh yums! The Chocolate also smells like a liquid chocolate. Are they eatable? They are sugar, right? And made with pure honey and choco, right?

Maybe I just test it on ants first ^__^

Now, as the honey is ready, lightly dusted the area with powder, don't use too much and make sure the area is clean and dry too.

Put the honey lemon, hahaha ups! I'm thinking of a drink right now, I meant, put on the pure honey directly to the area. Use enough sugaring, don't put too little or too much as it will become messy. I must admit, on this area, a partner will be helpful.

Make sure all the hairy part got the honey, and then use the clothe given and pressed it onto the sugared part. Make it nice and firmly stick.

Wait around 10-15 seconds and then pull it away as quick as I can and we did it! The hairs are all plucked.

Does it hurt? In a minute, yes. After that the pain slowly reduced and reduced. If there's still hairs, apply the honey once again only on the area needed. Now, my tips is NOT to let one area be waxed more than 3 times during one session. It is actually an advice from an expert waxer. More than 3 waxes will irritate and damages the skin and longer healing time as well.

Wait around 3-4 days to do it again or perhaps just plucked it one by one since there aren't many anymore.

And one more thing.

Don't put too much powder on the area. This is what it will look like (image taken from the other armpit), the powder will stick themselves to the sugar and not on to the hair.

Conclusion,
it is a wonderful products from Sugar Pot that actually works! The sugar melts easily and also very easy to be used. The only downside is you kinda need someone else to help you with the application, not on areas such as legs or arms, more like bikini line and armpit. So far, there's no signs of irritation made because of Sugar Pot.

The price is really affordable and the clothes given also easily cleaned. I use the same warm water for the pot to then clean the used clothes.

The success rate of using the product will depends on the user as well, in the end, practice, practice and practice ^__^ But hey, if I can do it in one go, everyone can.
