NYX The Curve

Hi all,

this item is not a spanking brand new item in the market, it's been around for months and get rave reviews for being so spot on in terms of fulfilling the needs of putting the precise eyeliners in set.

-*-

The innovative design is said to be ergonomic, which means made in the shape where it follows our human's form.

-*-

The pointy tip with fine sturdy brushes, delivers the black lines to enhance the eyes and the whole look.

-*-

The spec seems very impressive, let's put them on the test.

-*-

First, it's the ergonomic design, it does shaped like our fingers. Instead of a pen shaped liner, the curve does made application easier. But, how about the quality, let's see the before image all the way until finish.

-*-

Plain and haven't use anything and below is after the base is done and start drawing the lines.

-*-

Here's a close-up look where the lines is not as steady or as even as I want it to, not because of the ink, it does come out even but the brush is not as smooth nor slippery as I want too. It's like drawing with marker. Since the lid may crease, the marker-y liner will pull the lid.

-*-

So it wont be a straight defined line, but this problem can be tackled by pulling the eyelid outward direction from the outer side of the face by pulling near the eyes (temple). Pull the right temple outward direction away from the face when applying the right lid and pull the left temple outward direction away from the face when applying the left lid.

-*-

The ink also not instantly dry, it is considered quick but not instant. I have to wait about +/- 15 seconds (with a fan) before being comfortable in everything I do next. In the image above is when I immediately open the eyes and somehow it become a bit messy on the top of the lid and when I try to clean it, the stain move down haha! But don't worry it is again a quick dry, not instantly dry so I can immediately fix it before it sets.

-*-

These are the results from many angles.

-*-

Bottom line oh wait should I say upper line ^__--

The ink does resist water once set but not waterproof. Stays on the place for hours and hours without smudging. But when rubbed it will crumble.  The shape of the curve does help in terms of application especially for those whose having problems with conventional shape and creating a perfect line. The firm tip can make a fine thin line or sharp thick line in a matter of pressure.

Practice does make perfect and with the Curve I do have faster time being an apprentice.
