Mine is in Blackest Black and Dark Brown. The Big Eye Smokey Eyeliner definitely have an eye catching name. It promises a bigger eye in a smokey look.

Here are the swatches, the Blackest Black is clearly seen to be smoother than the Dark Brown, on the skin or on paper. It was softer in texture compared to Dark Brown.

As clearly written on the pencil, these babies are waterproof, but really, I've tried many so called waterproof product, only a few prevail, and these are amongst those few. It is really waterproof and it sets pretty fast, like the fastest one I've tried, I'm taking picture right after swatches and they are dried. Unable to smudge them in a matter of 60 seconds.

So I made another line and immediately smudges the line and it works. But when the smudging is done when they are set the smudger has become an eraser. So I really have to do it as soon as possible, A.S.A.P.

Here's my first trial on the eyes.

It is really difficult to do in within seconds, so I kept on trying until I get the right formula.So I'm using a primer that gives the skin a moist effect to compete with the instant dry formula.

Below are the results, in two style of eyeliner. These are so far my best result in using this super waterproof eyeliner.

But I'm not giving up just yet, I'll keep finding and figuring out how to stay ahead before it sets.

Overall,

A perfect pencil-crayon eyeliner that sets almost instantly. When used the product will stay on the most oily, greasy and sweaty eyelids without fail for hours and hours. The only problem I have is the smudging, I have to be really fast and still figuring out the way to do it to make a perfect smudges.

On my mind right now is adding a bit of moisturizer, like dab a bit, or perhaps an eye cream right before usage so I can buy a bit more time before it set. Or I can gradually build up the smokey look with thin line and smudges layer per layer. Once set the smudger will become like an eraser where it lifted up the products from the skin and eraser-like-residue starts coming off.

soap & Glory Girligo Body Moisturizing Mist

it's been quite a week, I went through vertigo and for the rest of us there's a lot of drama regarding the presidential election process and what happen between Palestine and Israel. Well, let's just keep of praying and hope for the best shall we?! By not getting ourselves dwells in the black campaigns, rumors, or provocation, let's get the facts before sounding our opinions.

We all want peace, kindness and happiness. I can't say much about peace and kindness for you, but this one item may add a bit of happiness in your world.

It's a Body Moisturizing Mist by Soap & Glory that smells so good. It's a mixture of sweet fruits and lovely floral. Tempting, delicious, not overly sweet, a hint of citrus, a bit of musk, still fresh and very very juicy.

I use the product after every shower and all over the body, the skin gets that perfect lovely and smitten due to the scent and moisturizing effect from the light yet adequate supple effect on the skin. It even moist enough for the dry skin to be happy.

Unfortunately, this product still contain paraben (boooooooo), I hope they make one soon without paraben.

Overall, I really like the idea of a spray body lotion, it makes daily routine feels more fun. The amazingly addictive scent smells sublime, like I'm in the middle of a fruit and floral garden in the late spring coming to summer. It made me feel good in wrapping myself in this scent... thinking of getting myself a perfume like this.

Make Over Enchanting Nude

Hello everyone,

as promised on my previous posts, I'll make a look using Enchanting Nude, but since my sister is at home, I'm asking her to be a model since she wants to go out as well heehee.

Enchanting Nude is perfect as a daily look or when you want to create something bold, the soft and sultry hues are perfect for that innocent enchantment. Actually, we can create several look using the trios, on this look I made for my sister, the brown shade is used more than the other two. The white as a highlighter below the brows and the dark brown plays as a smudged eyeliner.

Prefer something that is bold? Look at the makeup below, just by adding liquid eyeliner, falsies and bold lipstick a more daring look is created.

Overall,

it is a simple yet amazing products from Make Over that feels smooth and easily used without a mess. The powders are pretty pigmented and I can use it more than just eyeshadow, the white one can be used as a highlighter for the nose or other part of the face while by adding a bit of brown on the cheek bone and the sides of the nose they has officially converted into shading material. It is one of the must have colors and collection in my makeup stash. Multifunctional and beautiful result.

Btw, do you know that the darker shade from Enchanting Nude can be used near the hairline, from the forehead to the ears, by blending it gently and without overdoing it, it help create a more egg-shaped facial contour.

Biore Daily Color Clear and Double Scrub Bright

I hope you're all fine! I've been really busy lately but I still have so many items to be reviewed, these are amongst those items.

Biore has been cleaning faces all around the world for more than a decade, now more and more variants are coming, I'm still waiting for every single variant like in Japan to make it to Indonesia, in the meantime, here's Daily Color Clear and Double Scrub Bright.

Start with Daily Color Clear, a makeup remover that are made to clean makeup, but not waterproof makeups. So it can clean makeup base like foundations, powders, concealers, and color makeup like lipsticks, blush on, eyeliner (non waterproof type).

It contain Hyaluronic Acid and Royal Jelly, one for moisture and the other for vitality.

If you're using waterproof makeup, remove them first before using Biore Daily Color Clear.

The white milky gel is a signature form of Biore Cleansing Foam, it's been like this as long as I can remember, from the original formula to other variant. It's like a liquid jelly.

The product easily lathered with a little water, to make a good foam I need a net foam but still, it can not produce that perfect foam even after a while.

The scent is similar to one of the Biore cleansing wash (for the body) variant, I think it's the one with micro powder, I don't think the product still available now since the last time I'm using it is around 10 years ago.

I really like the refreshing floral fruity scent.

The result is a clean feeling face and still plump as it doesn't make the skin feels dry.  But since it doesn't make that perfect foam, I kinda doubt how it able to clean the pores within.

The second item has been around for a while as well, it is still considered new thou'. The Double Scrub Bright with Black Micro Scrub.

The black scrub is really tiny and it feels mild on the skin, the product also lathers on the skin just nice. The scent is kinda masculine, perhaps this product is made more for the men?!

Overall,

The Double Scrub Bright with tiny bouncy micro scrub clean the skin well enough, but those who wore makeup or sun protection wont be satisfy using it as it can't clean them thoroughly. The micro scrub is so tiny, bouncy and soft that made me wonder does it really work?! And regarding it's claiming ability to absorb excess oil, hmm, it works mildly.

Conclusion,

both products clean the skin mildly as in, they don't really do a good job, but they don't stripe off the skin's natural moisture. So I guess there's a minus and plus points in it. As for me, hmm, I think I prefer using other variant from Biore.

The dark blue packaging with silver tops looks sophisticated, contrast with the white and clear products inside.

Unfortunately one of the packaging is faulty. I wont be able to try on the Day Cream since it can not be pumped out.

In a glance, all of them have a light texture, making them comfortable to be used on the skin.

All the details on the box is suffice, from how to use to ingredients is provided well.

Their main focus on whitening is to comfort the skin so the irritation level is decreased hence the dark spots become less and less in the future, so they are not erasing the current spots, more like preventing the future one.

To understand how it works we have to understand our skin, skin that are 'stained' with dark spots are actually caused by months or even years of exposed to irritants such as UVB, allergies to other form of skin problem. They are starting as redness on the skin, gradually, it'll become dark spots on the layers of skin affected, so dark skin never occur instantly. And as the skin keep on replacing itself every 28 days those dark spots that happen inside will come out to the surface, which is the result of a visible dark spots.

It is very hard to remove them, what we can do is to wait until the skin kept on repairing itself by preventing the future spots on the deeper epidermis. So, most whitening/brightening products that are safe to be used are using this kind of method, calming the skin so there's less irritation occur and keep the future dark spots at bay.

Forcing the skin to exfoliate before their time may seems to be a good idea since the dark spots on the outer epidermis seems to be shed off, but the skin inside, the young unexposed skin, are 'forced' to be ready and face the world. It can lead to more dark spots as 'young skin' usually more fragile and become easily irritated, in the long run, more dark spots may appear.

Household product may be good for the product intended, but like most dish washing liquid, it is not so friendly to the hands. Signs of dryness may start from feeling tight, the skin looks rough and there are white strikes visible, itching, to the severe dryness where the skin start breaking and causing wounds.

Let's just start using hand cream before the pain comes, a hand cream may be used daily, like after every shower or after doing the chores and/or after each time washing the hands. For maintaining the hand cream may also be used only at night time, right before bed time, so the cream have longer time on the skin.

The thick white gel cream is fragrant and feels comfortable on the skin. Immediately the skin looks refreshed and healthier. The open pores looks smaller due to the hydrating effect. The lines also reduced when the skin is moisturized. There's no leftover nor residue felt on the skin, the gel cream penetrated nicely and doesn't make the hands feels slippery nor greasy. This is a suitable product to be used here in Jakarta.

L'Oreal Professionnel Expert Serie Pro-Keratin Refill

Finally. I get to try the Pro-Keratin Refill from L'Oreal Professionnel.

By this point I think we all know about what keratin does to our hair, as one of the main ingredient on hair strands keratin is of course, needed. As we love to torture our hair in the name of trend, those keratin are flaking away. We need to replenish them by proper diet and using the right products.

They do have some items to be used at salon only and some for at home usage.

The products to be used at home are the shampoo, conditioner and masque. All packed in a lovely blue green colored bottle, tube and pot.

The design of the packaging is the same like the other Expert Series from L'Oreal Paris. I'm so keen in trying them since I'm tired looking at my hair keep on breaking on the areas where I used to highlighted, colored and perm. Now as the hair has regrowth it looks kinda like kinda cool with yhe gradation but the breaking part makes it look weird, like the hair is not falling off from the root (which is a good thing) but from the middle part. 

Since that part is fragile, I need products like Pro-Keratin Refill to help strengthen the hair strand from within, by doing so my hair should be stronger and maintaining the length. This is also suitable for those who wants a lustrous thick long hair from root to the ends.

All of them are white inside, the shampoo is a creamy white gel, easily lathered on and cleaning the hair nicely without that striking dryness. The aroma is fresh and delightful. I do have an oily scalp and dry ends, Pro-Keratin Refill Shampoo clean the scalp and hair well without making the scalp oily while still comforting the dry ends.

The conditioner is a white creamy lotion, making the hair strands feel soft and no more tangled. The light moisturizing effect is perfect for normal to dry hair, while the pro-keratin ingredients help build keratin in places where the hair needs, like placing a puzzle pieces together one by one, and of course since the conditioner is made for the hair, avoid the scalp so they wont clogged.

And as usual, the treatment masque from the Expert Serie is always one of the highlight of the range, since it always contain more potent ingredients and show faster result.

The thick white paste cream, I find it the thickest in terms of texture compared to all other masque in the Expert Serie collection. I only apply it at the hair ends where it needed the most. The part where the hair feels so fragile and coarse, thinnest and looks incomplete compared to the one near the roots where it is still healthy, shiny, and full.

After using the masque the hair appears fuller and those hair ends looks thicker, shinier and smoother. By keep using them the hair will gradually keep getting stronger, healthier and fuller from the root to the ends.

Overall,

it's another great products from L'Oreal Professionnel Expert Serie collection to be used at home. The Pro-Keratin Refill is an answer for a fuller, thicker and stronger hair due to chemical process and other form of hair abuse that stripe off it's natural keratin.

Tips:
*When using the conditioner and masque, avoid the scalp area as the hair near the scalp/root doesn't need it.
*When using masque, you may apply it liberally at the ends and cover the hair with a shower cap so the masque will stay where it supposed to be and let the ingredients sips into the hair follicle.
*Use the conditioner daily and the masque 1-2x a week or as needed. The masque can be used as a maintenance of a healthy hair as well.
*Read the instruction carefully before using each product and don't forget to consult with a hair expert at the salon before purchasing them.

Max Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder, Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara, and Excess Intensity Longwear Eyeliner

Max Factor has just launched some of their newest makeup collection. The New Excess Volume Intensified. It comes with two products, the mascara and eyeliner.

Max Factor Indonesia not just gave me those two, a pressed powder is included as well.

I think one of the highlight is the mascara and it's brushes, and it comes in a duo function, number 1. Extreme Volume and 2. Dark Lacquer. The two items comes in different shaped of the brush.

First it's the Creme Puff Pressed Powder that has been around since 1953, the compact is neat, but the puff is to thin for me. Mine is in 41 Medium Beige, a bit too dark for me but suitable for my sister. It gives her a matte finish and light coverage. The powder have a good staying power too.

The result is a natural finish and flawless look (after using foundation and concealer). So far it can be used with other cosmetic brands.

And now, let's see the new products shall we?!

Here's the eyeliner, mine is in Excessive Aqua. It is a bright blue, the eyeliner is a bit rough on the eyelid. The color pays off and it can even colored the lashes. Look at my sister below.

What do I like about this product? The bright color and waterproof ability. It stays on her till night time.

And the mascara, the one that made the highlight today. The chubby packaging really stands out than other mascara I have, it made them look tiny.

But what's inside that matter, why? Read it below.

It made the lashes volumed up and looks intensely black. We do use both no.1 and 2. Below is my below after of using it.

On the last image is the example when the mascara haven't dried yet, but when it does, it stays waterproof and last the whole day.

Overall review,

we kinda dislike the brush, not because they are not effective but they kinda sharp on the skin. Right after applying they feel so sticky, but once dried they are comfortable again.
Perhaps this is just according to the famous quotes, 'no pain no gain'?! Once you bear the sharpy brushes and stickiness, you'll get lashes full of volume and intensely dark.
