Last week, Cetaphil invited medias and beauty bloggers for a day to remember and celebrate your skin.

Cetaphil itself has been part of my family for years and we love their products as it can be used by anyone in the family. Those who owns very sensitive skin can still enjoy the products without any worries or concerns.

The event was held in Avec Moi, a restaurant in the middle of Jakarta. Hosted by celebrity and dermatologist  who speaks about the importance of our skin and how to care for them on daily basis.

Representative from Cetaphil also speaks how Cetaphil works and what does it do on our skin.

Dr. Edwin Tanihaha, SpKK, shares that skin is our largest organ that have to go through many things on daily basis. From pollution, UV rays, germs, frictions, radiation, Air conditioner, heat, weather to anything that touches the skin. They protects us and at the same time, they need protection too.

This is where, products like Cetaphil comes in. Brand Manager Cetaphil Indonesia, Chaerun Nisa Putri explains about two products from Cetaphil that cleanses with care and gentleness while the other gives moisture and light protection from the sun.

Andien Aisyah, singer, has been using Cetaphil for three years now. She testify how Cetaphil took care her dry skin from makeup and harsh soaps. Based on my personal experience and a lot of people that I know, we choose soaps or body cleanser based on brand, aroma and price. Most of us even leave it to aroma alone, the one that smells the best, regarding the ingredients, are the one we picked. Even when sometime it made our skin suffers.  How does we know that our skin is suffering? When there's a squeaky cleanliness that we feel on our skin, when there's white strikes when we scratch, when we feel the constant itchiness, redness and visible dryness, those signs are crucial and we need to pay attention since they are screaming for help.

Stop using product that contain high fragrance, preservatives, chemicals and other unnecessary ingredients. Cetaphil use only what's important and keep it low key on the stuff they put inside their bottles for the skin to enjoy. Cleaning them with care and gentleness and protecting the skin with hydration.

I know many personal experiences from my friends too that they can only use Cetaphil. For me personally, I used to be able to use any products, but now, as I grew older and my skin is not as though as it used to be, I can only use Cetaphil. Don't wait until your skin can't take it anymore, start using only what's best from now for a better start and better skin in the future.

Koko Krunch Cereal Bars

Hello everybody,

breakfast is indeed has been found as the most important meal of the day. Still, we tend to occasionally forget and move on. Morning is always the busiest time during the day, we getting ready, especially with the kids and everything. Breakfast no longer become priority, getting ready is. And the traffic in Jakarta is no help too, forget about a bowl of our favorite cereal, we need food we can eat while we go and can't have anything that comes with a bowl and liquid, it's too hard to handle on the road.

Here's where Koko Krunch come in handy, they made one in a bar. It's still the same cereal, that choco one that we love and have, and with all the convenience for those in the rush, or perhaps in need of a sugar rush.

There are mini Koko Krunch cereal, so the shape is like the original Koko Krunch but they are smaller. Hugging each other to make a bar and the whites one on the bottom part is the milk, so in a way, it's still like eating the cereal with the milk like how we love when the time persist at home.

Overall, a handy cereal bar with the familiar chocolate flavour and crunchiness that we love and cherished from Koko Krunch with the simplicity and the easiness to carry it always in my purse. I wish they reduced the 7g sugar since it's too sweet and made the bar sinful, so I hope they do get the feedback and making them less sweet for a healthier choice.

Covermark Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid in Three Shades

using makeup nowadays could be a bit tricky and comes in so many texture. From powders, creams, lotions, hard powders, stick cream, gel, gel-cream, and everything that lies on the makeup world. Some might work when we combined them together, some doesn't. From crumbling, noodling, create mess to residue that is really not fun to be seen, there's always tricks we could do in shading, contouring, and highlighting.

By using three different shades of the same product, we can create that perfect contouring without worrying each texture wont be in sync. They' sing in perfect harmony by using it on areas that we want.

Highlights by using a shade that one or two level lighter than the skin tone, and contouring by using 2 shades darker than the skin.

Highlights are usually under the eyes, nose bridge, mid part of the chin and shading are on the sides of the nose for the illusion of a sharper nose, under the cheekbone for a slimmer face, on the bone structure of the jaw, outer sides of the forehead and so on.

And on the rest of the area, use the shade that matches the skin tone.

Use a sponge or your hand, but during application, somehow I prefer using a brush or spoon brush, it helps me getting those thin lines especially on the nose.

Using Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid I'm using MN00 for highlight and MN40 for shading. My skin tone is at MN10.

As seen below, the far left is MN00 which is the lightest, MN10 in between, and where the shade is not too far different than MN00.

And here's the result of using them altogether and after blending and color makeup. The foundation blends well one to another and doesn't have any problem with each other since they have same consistency. Hence the gradation made is mild and appear natural. For me this is the perfect merit between the shades which made my makeup appear three dimensional.

There's the ingredients too, from the first to the last, and see clearly, the bottom part of the details they also put the expired date clearly.

The product can be used using fingers, sponge, brush, or any makeup tools you have or feel comfortable with, but the key is on the skin. When using finger, it helps loosen the product with the warmth of our skin and create that kind of magic where the product is like spread elastically onto the skin, giving them a smooth surface for makeup to begin with.

There's this consistency that I like about the Clear Base, it is like rubbery, in a sense that it stretches. My skin become prepared with the water resisting ability that made makeup last. Matrix Biolage is here with hair care products worth trying for. Being bleached, colored and (stupidly) perm the hair recently, means my hair is not just overly processed big time but the dryness level is on the peak. I can't even keep a color last longer than a few weeks since it was too damaged. The first thing I've tried is the  conditioner. It's a white creamy like texture (like most other conditioner) with a pink floral scent that I like. I thought it is similar to any other conditioner on the market but this one has an upgrade. The longer I left it on the hair after shampooing, the more it does magic to my hair, made them soft and smooth once again. At least until the next wash.

The scent does last too, made my hair smells fragrant all day long.

Adding the serum right before hair drying also helps. It made my hair stays in better shape. Usually, my hair looks so dry and becomes more brittle after wash since the hair is cleaned and there's less moisture intact, clean for sure, but stripped as well.

Deep Smoothing Serum made my hair shines and even though it was oils, my hair doesn't become oily nor greasy. I use the product when my hair is still damp (after shower) around a quarter size. It penetrates into the hair making them smooth and frizz free.... for normal hair, for me, less frizz for sure.

For those who happens to suffer (made/causing/dig your own grave) very dry hair can also use it as a pre-care routine. Apply as many as you want onto the hair (avoiding the scalp by far) and leave them as long as possible on the hair. For me 1-2 hours does the trick. And then go to the shower and shampoo the hair like usual, use favorite conditioner and dry like usual using a bit of the serum again. The unbearable smoothness will be felt immediately, the shine and the fondness of keep playing with the hair. And of course, they'll smell so good too.

Ooh now the Mask, the one that I think made a bigger impact and better conditioned as it has thicker, creamier and heavier creams, it's like the concentrated version of the conditioner. I'm using this one for almost everything. I can use the product everyday or any time I want that extra smoothness and silkiness of the hair, smells so good, like the floral in the conditioner but intensify, the scent last until the next day, even when facing public transportation (in Singapore). The silkiness does last all day long too, they are not just coating but help bringing strength to the hair and vitality too. My hair looks dead on most days, but whenever I use these babies, they look alive and well, no one thinks that they are damaged enough.

On daily basis, or special occasions (means, when I have the time), I put on some mask right after shampooing, wrap them on a plastic wrap or shower cap and leave them as long as possible. Above 15 minutes is best even thou' it is said to be 3-5 minutes. I find them deeply penetrating into my hair and transforming them into live.

The colors look vibrant, the flexibility or elasticity of the hair increases, it becomes better and far less breakage. Everything is visible and noticeable, I guess when it comes to hair mask, this one is definitely good and worth purchasing.

The thick white cream is easy to be used, and I like using them before going for a dip too in the pool. The water in most swimming pool causing the hair (everything) dry, hence getting a pre-care is important for my oh-so-brittle hair. The perm really does it this time, I guess bleach and perm should not ever be done (again) on the hair.

After slathering some of the creams on my hair, focusing on the ends and avoiding the scalp. I leave them on for around 30 minutes before going into the water. The hair get the pre-nourishment it deserves to survive. After the swim and wash, my hair doesn't feel as dry as usual, it is still manageable and feels comfortable to be in.

I do clean by using the appropriate shampoo plus the conditioner by Matrix Biolage ColorLast, and when I have more time, I can simply add the mask again, and it seals the deal. The hair serum can be used as well before swimming and after.

One thing for sure, now that I'm using the trios, I'm not that worry about my lifestyle and daily activities. I can still color my hair and swim as much as I want and let Matrix Biolage ColorLast took care the rest. My hair stays smooth, softer, and silky, on some point, where I though it was no where near possible, they even shines.

They put the same tagline for all of their products, smile, it's simple! They don't put artificial perfume, colour, or other unnecessary ingredients. But the thing is, I'm still a bit doubtful on the words "of not putting unnecessary things" which perhaps if there's still a need for stuff that are necessary for the products to be made but kinda not really 100% good for the skin, they still put it in.

Nevertheless, they do seems better than most products here in Indonesia that said to be for babies and kids yet contain shocking ingredients that contain paraben, fragrance (main problem for sensitive skin), SLS (which is also in the product reviewed here) and many more.

So again, Simple Baby All in One Wash and their Moisturizing Shampoo isn't 100% free from surfactant.

Now, how is it? Are the products any good? Well, after using them for months, we don't really see major significant differences like when using our usual 'any other' products for kids and baby in the market. Her skin stays soft but for sure, I can't really use the shampoo for her scalp as it still made her scalp irritated. With dandruff like cradle cap thingy on her scalp. I can still have her use the All in One Wash as a body shower or bath tub bubbles but that's it.

Aroma? So far they smell like nothing. Like very faint or almost scent-less. I guess they don't put natural ingredients as much as I want them too, I know for sure chamomile and lavender in oils has a distinctive scent that noticeable.

Overall,

Still a so-so product that is in between. There are not that bad but not really good either. I will buy something else in the future (other brand I meant) like if you want to be bad, be bad, but if you want to be good, be real good, I guess it's still fixated to the price that still in mid range too.

Again, I wish they skipped Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in their ingredients list and it would made them better for sure.

For me, perfume is something that speaks personally. It has the ability to create a persona about someone, embodied, or fulfilling ones as an extension of their aura.

Let's start from the beautiful bottle.

As mentioned above, the shape that is unique, from the top all the way to the bottom. It looks exclusive, feminine, but have strength at the same time. Clear with golden rings never look so good with the soft pink transparent liquid inside. I felt the dynamical side of the perfume, it's current but in the same time it made history last.

Sprayed the Eau de Parfum directly to the skin where it made a great collaboration with myself.

There's a lot of theory lately on how and where to spray a perfume, is it on the skin or on to the clothing, for me it's personal options. Using a perfume on the skin directly means intensifying, as the body permeate heats, the perfume will work on that and you'll become one, like a walking diffuser that made everything surrounds you feel the aroma. But as we know, heat made the aroma evaporate faster then when sprayed on cool material like clothing. So again, it's personal, as for me, I prefer spraying them lightly on my skin after shower and on the clothing during touch ups.

As the perfume is EDP, it last around 4-6 hours.

At first spray, it gives an uplifting strong floral aroma. Notes for someone who is strong and vulnerable at the same time. It lingers, between each ingredients. Carla Lavender, Vanilla, Sambac Jasmine, Birch Essence and Leather where Guerlain made some personal journeys to those who presented the raw ingredients. Know and learn how they are grown or extracted. This perfume, with its rich history, has become a blend that developed in harmony. I feel my self being more and more comfortable with the scent, it's somehow encouraging me to stay up front, to face difficulties in life with grace and still being passionate enough to go though the emotions. Scent has never been 'just' a scent for me, it's an extension of my being.

Life is indeed a journey, something we're going up sometime we're going down, when I want to held my head up and become free with myself, this is a perfume I want to be with, a scent that embrace confident, triumph, deep thoughts and freedom to be a woman that believe in  oneself.

  There you go, seems like they are a very impressive pair isn't it, and they do.
  
  The unique gel cream formula is white (both) and feels so good on the skin.
  
  Let's start with the Day Cream which like a deep exotic white floral that some may like or dislike it at the same time. For me, it's a bit like medicinal in terms of scent but I'm not really worry about it since it goes away like 30 minutes or so, or perhaps I get used to it pretty fast.
  
  I'm focusing on the fact that it felt fresh and comfortable on the skin. During day time, we always look for that moisturizer that hydrates, firming, yet made the skin still feels light and comfortable all day long, well, for me, this is the moisturizer I've been looking for.
  
  It's hydrating enough and at the same time, provide that ample vitality on my skin, like they stay looking good. No dullness nor looking like I'm exhausted. It's been tough lately, and my skin stays perky, I think one of the reason in this awesome day cream.
  
  And the Night one is a biggy too. It has the similar scent but the texture might feels gel-ier (not even a word but you get what I meant). It has more bounciness than the day cream, feels sticky for like 2 seconds and it turns the skin instantly into this moist, supple, mochi-like skin that feels ultra soft and very comfortable. Using it like I've been using a hydro gel mask on my face all night long and the gel infiltrating my skin creating this gel barrier or a thin film that providing long lasting plumpness to my dry skin. And it does last, sleeping for the next 8 (or 10 hours when I'm lucky) I woke up feeling so good for my skin. Like I've done something right.
  
  I imagine the serum would be a total winner too, hopefully someday I can try the whole set.
  
  For now, let's just say I'm very happy in these babies, once again IOMA has made me feel ultra happy. My skin looking fine day and night with that added touch of regenerating so they'll stay young longer or better, getting younger everyday.
