it's been a very long time (2 weeks) since my last review post. There's been grieving news lately and I'm sick too, hence I don't really have the time, energy, nor mood to do one thing that I really like. Blogging. So now, finally, I'm back.

So, how do I get this product? Well, hubby bought it on his trip to Singapore, we're both a huge fan of Neutrogena for years, they have amazing products that can be used by both male and female. Kids too.

One thing that we all can found in common is the need of hydration. But most product in the market doesn't just give hydration, a lot (especially in Indonesia) are 'bundled' with brightening, anti aging (whatever it is), firming and other 'bonus' benefit. Still, the one and only key to a healthy and beautiful skin is still hydration.

There's so many theories regarding hydrating the skin. A lot says it is about exfoliating, so the skin can be 'opened' and there's nothing that create barriers and the moisturizer can be 'accepted' by the skin. It is half true, but not all skin need exfoliating, in fact, a lot of problems happens due to over exfoliating.

Healthy skin exfoliate them self every 28 days, 'forcing' it to exfoliate before time might expose the 'young' skin cells that might look pretty and bright at first but then will become more dull than before the skin is not ready yet to be expose.

So, if it's not needed, like when your skin is not super duper dull to the level where you rarely clean your face on daily basis (more like once a month), exfoliation is not needed.

Back to moisturizing, basic hydration, which is often understated, was actually the key for a good looking skin. This item is one of my utmost favorite, alongside with Kiehl's UFC, this gel is wonderful. It made my skin moist without being greasy. It has a light texture but enough for a dry and sensitive skin like mine.

The packaging is super cute with light clear blue, even thou it comes in a pot (the least hygienic packaging ever) still, those milky light blue gel looks so good.

With a hint of cool gel, it becomes almost watery on the skin, I can simply use any serum before hand and top it off with also anything I want, from UV protection, makeup base, and just about anything and it made the skin feels supple, happy and with the right amount of dewiness. For me, this is the never go wrong moisturizer.

Definitely recommended for anyone.

Kemarin sore, saat seperti biasa iseng buka-buka grup chat komunitas Blogger Ceria, ada salah seorang beauty blogger yang share berita media online. Karena kebetulan media tersebut memiliki kredibilitas yang 'agak miring' ditambah dengan gaya bahasa yang kurang sopan, kami semua berpikir itu hoax.

Kurang lebih begini beritanya, "Seorang perempuan ditemukan tewas tanpa busana saat sedang mandi di kos-kosan", ada juga yang memberitakan dirumah saudaranya, ada lagi yang menambahkan kata 'mesum'.  Kejanggalan, ketidaksesuaian atau hiperbola serta penekanan pada detail yang tidak seharusnya, amat kami sesalkan.

Reaksi pertama saya adalah langsung menghubungi yang bersangkutan via chat Line, tapi tidak dibalas-balas juga bahkan tidak di read. Semakin ketar-ketir ternyata beberapa teman di komunitas lain juga saling membenarkan insiden tersebut. Kami semua terkejut dan banyak simpati serta kata-kata belansungkawa disampaikan.

Rini telah tiada.

Beauty blogger di Jakarta yang sering datang ke event pastinya kerap bertemu dengan Rini, dia ramah, mudah diajak ngobrol, sopan, memiliki etos kerja yang sangat baik, dan termasuk salah seorang beauty blogger yang cukup sukses. Kecantikannya bisa dikatakan luar dalam, tidak heran jika hampir semua ungakapan belasungkawa di social media mengatakan betapa baiknya Rini dan merasakan kesulitan melepas kepergian dia yang terlalu dini. Sayapun setuju. Rini memang baik, ramah, cantik dan selalu sopan. Meski cukup terkenal dan sukses, dia tidak pernah sombong. 4 tahun mengenal Rini rasanya belum cukup.

Oleh karena itu, banyak dari kami tidak rela saat pemberitaan di media online menulis dengan kata-kata yang tidak baik atau jika ada yang mempublish foto Rini diluar batas kode etis dan moral. Kekompakan teman-teman beauty blogger amat sangat saya hargai dan akui saat ini. Bombardir email, message dan sms ke redaktur media yang bersangkutan dan permohonan kepada Dewan Pers agar berita-berita tersebut dapat kembali ke aturan yang disepakati bersama atau paling tidak, kembalilah ke hati nurani masing-masing.

Mungkin sudah letih jika kami katakan untuk membayangkan jika korban adalah kakak, adik, atau sodara kalian sendiri, tapi apakah perlu sampai ke tindakan hukum? Kami tentu ingin menghindari hal tersebut mengingat keluarga yang sedang berduka. Kami sadar kami tidak akan bisa mewakili keluarga korban, tapi sebagai teman, sahabat, kawan komunitas, kami ingin memberikan hadiah terakhir untuk Rini, pemberitaan yang layak. She deserves it.

Rini meninggal di Bali, dugaan kuat yang ada, dia meninggal karena kesetrum aliran listrik saat mandi. Saat meninggal korban dikatakan sedang memegang shower, dan ada bekas luka bakar selang shower di bagian atas perut.

Itu saja, berita seharusnya hanya mengemukakan informasi sesuai apa adanya, memang dibanding 'berita lain' kesannya kurang bumbu. Tapi untuk orang-orang yang mengenal Rini, berita ini sudah amat sangat menyakitkan tanpa perlu embel-embel yang merendahkan.

Dan setahu saya, karena meninggal didalam rumah (bukan di rumah sakit atau balai kesehatan pada umumnya) maka diperlukan surat kepolisian. Kami berharap prosesnya berjalan dengan baik, dan keluarga Rini bisa membawa jenazah kembali ke rumah. Saat ini, kami hanya bisa berdoa, agar keluarga yang ditinggalkan bisa kuat, tabah, dan mereka tau bahwa Rini dicintai, dihargai dan memiliki teman-teman yang menyayangi dia. Teman-teman yang sangat kehilangan dia dan mengharapkan yang terbaik.

So, as for me, the sensitivity begins from redness, itchy feeling, to extreme dryness, blistery like that feels itchy and pain at the same time. This is for me, is the last straw, it's really uncomfortable and it even disturbed my sleep.

The light white creams is rich and a bit filmy, it moisten the skin instantly and made the redness and irritation subsides. The itchy feeling disappear but for hard core problems like blisters, I have to keep on using the cream for days, until they fully recover. Meanwhile, the aggressor has to be stopped. So when using the Soothing Cream anything that might cause the skin to be sensitive has to be completely stopped so the skin doesn't get worse.

I use the cream on every part of the body where the skin is irritated, not just facial skin. So instead of spreading it like lotion or moisturizer, I only dab it on the affected area. for the face, after the cream, I, then use the moisturizer.

It's indeed sensual, but still light and doesn't smell heavy, I guess Thailand, like the rest of the Asia, prefer a fresh notes compared to the rich and heavy notes.

Like my previous post, the scent on the same variant is the same, only the texture of the lotion and cream that made the difference. Those who prefer lightness may choose the lotion. And as the texture goes, the richer it is the longer the scent last too.

So if you prefer lotion but longer aroma, do bring the lotion and easily top it off as needed or as often as you prefer.

Hello everybody,

Oh well, I've been naughty again, trying lotions with perfume, mineral oils and paraben inside. It created horrible blister like conditions scattered from my legs, arms and body. It was itchy and have that kind of cracked like really dry.

There was a point where my husband even repeatedly recommend me to see a dermatologist, I just didn't have the time.

Slowly but sure, the itchiness was the first things that was gone, and then those awful cracked dry blistery like skin, they are healing one by one, making my skin smooth, lightly moist, and definitely appear healthy once again, it was a relieve. Neutrogena deep clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil

Hello lovelies,

lately I've been using a lot of cleansing oils, since it was part of my daily routine inside the shower room, from dirty and dry skin to the cleanliness that removes everything including tough makeup, cleansing oil seems like a must as it was a habit and I also enjoy the fresh clean feeling since it involves water.

A lot of people use a foaming facial wash after cleansing oil since they dislike the 'oily' feeling afterwards, it's ambiguity of the sensation, doesn't really means that it was oily, but there's this filmy leftovers that made the skin silky like.

Cleansing oils are infused with skincare ingredients (in most high end brands), so it was made to care for the skin as not just cleaning it. So there's no urgency to use foaming facial wash after cleansing oil. However, it was a personal option.

There's not much of information I can get online, seems like this is not their new product (for sure), they already have cleansing oil to foam (which will be reviewed on my upcoming posts too), so the details are mostly on the images where the product is.

First, let's open the plastic and the cucumber sticker. Definitely, there's a connection between the cucumber and the product, and the answer is it's said to be one of the ingredient, and the smell of the product is definitely cucumber too, hydrating fresh cucumber.

As usual, I do some swatches of my favorite waterproof makeups from mascara, lippies, eyeliners and so on.

Let them sit for a while and sets real good before Neutrogena could do some action on them.

And then, after an appropriate amount of time, I apply some of the oils on the swatches. Let them play for a bit before I massage them a bit and splash some water to emulsify.

There's a very tough lippies and they are not letting go on the first round. A tips for me, use a cleansing cloth (dry and clean), put some cleansing oil on the cleansing cloth and gently rub the skin with the oiled clothed. All of the makeup will be gone. This is suitable when using very waterproof makeup.

When used on areas such as eyes, do close it real tight so the oils wont get into the eyes. There will be a cloudiness when opened afterwards after emulsifying and rinsing.

But the result is definitely worth, it's so clean and comfortable too. Fresh, hydrating as it doesn't made my skin dry, and no leftovers no residue. I don't need a double cleanser when using Neutrogena deep clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil.

Now, my clean skin is ready for some skincare.

Another tips: do massage the skin, lashes, lips, with the oils longer than 2 minutes. It gives the oils enough time to clean everything, including all the sebums in the pores.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

How are you? I hope you are all well.

I've been pretty busy lately with personal matters, hence there's not much time to attend events. But I'm grateful that some brand still sends me invitation, someday I'll come to all of the events when the time is right. As at the moment, only a few I can come. Still, Garnier, with their wonderful news of their new items, send me this lovely box consist of Micellar Cleansing Water for sensitive skin and the other one, in blue, for oily and acne prone skin (Pure Active).

It was not long ago that Indonesia is introduced with Micellar Water and it was a big hit. The technology itself of putting it on the cotton and then they'll 'transform' into a magnetic force that takes everything off that doesn't belong to the skin.

Makeup, daily debris, sweat, oils, residue and some even say, it cleans the pores too.

It is the perfect cleanser to be used when waking up in the morning, mid day, to after the day is done. Before going to sleep, just swipe it off, and the skin is cleaned. It's the simplicity and effectiveness that people adore.

Here's a bit of test I've made. Swatch some waterproof lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, bb cream, inner liner, and everything in between that sometime just sticks on the skin and doesn't want to let go.

I gave them a bit of time, so they'll dry and sets.

Drops some of the Micellar Water on the cotton pad and on the first swipe, it already show a remarkable effects.

Let the cotton pad sits on some parts that really waterproof and after a few swipe, they are all gone.

Nothing was left behind and the best part of using Micellar Water is no residue on the skin. Unlike when using cleansing oil, bi phase oil and water cleanser, cleansing milk, gel, or other makeup remover. It was a one step cleanser that doesn't need rinsing, foaming facial wash afterwards or other form of 'cleansing' to remove the residue.

Between the one for sensitive skin and Pure Active, the difference is felt for those with oily skin. There's a sense of 'dry' or matte feeling afterwards. Since I have sensitive skin, pink is definitely my choice.

Going home, all of us are getting a package from L'Oreal. I picked the lightest shade there is 6.45. So the higher the number, the lighter the shade is, so if there's 4.45 and 6.45, 6.45 is the lightest shade compared to 4.45, which means 4.45 is closer to our natural hair color (dark brown or black) compared to 6.45.

Of course, the result vary from virgin to processed hair as well. Mine is considered (over) processed, hence, light shades could easily 'infused' into my hair than those who haven't dyed their hair before.

Gradually, if continued to be colored with the same shade, the hair will 'increase' it's acceptability to the color. In the same time, care is becoming more and more important, hence intense mask, daily hair care made for color hair, and even monthly basis in the professional salon.
