Last week as I run out another bottle of body lotion I stumbled upon Sukin, I have been eye-ing on this product for months actually. Intrigue by the word natural skincare

Wow, a lot of copy paste job here seriously, all the data are from their website, so? Why is it important?

As many debate now regarding organic vs conventional product, or natural vs chemical, how long or bad the effect, etc. We are indeed in the search of of how to bring out the best natural product using the highest technology possible.

So that's why I turn to Sukin, as simple as I'm a family-woman, that hanging around with kids, and eventually all the products stuck on the surface of my skin WILL ended up in their too! So I got to find a product that beneficial for my skin and in the same time safe for the rest of the family. Really? Have to? Well, I've used those firming and slimming lotions before, and yes, a lot of them give a heat sensation to me and those I hug, touch, or just even accidentally bumped.

Okay nouf' said, here is my review:
First I'm a bit disappoint when I use it there's some white lines when massaging, I used to have a bad product like that, keep on massaging and the white lines are there forever created by the lotions, but hey! Wait a minute, after 2 minutes of massaging it did absorbed and leaving my skin soft. Not sticky at all, nor oily nor annoying.

Other brand that I used always have that thin film effect and when I'm working with my blog on top of my glass table it always leaves oily marks on my glass surface, which with Sukin, it doesn't. It completely absorbed.

So point for absorption: 5 out of 5
Hydrating: 5 out of 5 with non sticky nor oily effect
Scent: 3 out of 5, I don't like the scent I must say. It's a good thing it only last like an hour or so. It was like a sweet leafy scent. Not sweet flowery nor sweet fruity, like a sweet leafy scent. Weird a bit I must say.

Conclusion: A very good lotion for the whole family, but if other brand have the same quality and effect with better scent, I'll make my move on that one!

My Skin Time with Clarins

Being a chubby face, I must say I hate my double chin and wish for a more contoured cheeks. So today after making an appointment like 2 weeks ago, I finally be able to enjoy this consultation and get a free samples on the items.

I thought I only went there for a simple Q&As, give me some samples and that's all, I'm wrong! So wrong in a good way! I get a mini facial and coming with a makeup on meant I can also try their makeup remover. Take note I only have their Cleansing Gel and Truly Mate Range, which I just found out that I actually bought the wrong products for my skin type. The lady that assist me see that my skin is actually dry and only oily in the nose area, not completely oily just the pores are bigger hence sebum on the area are move actively seen -.-.

First she cleanse my face with One-Step Facial Cleanser, it is so easy to use and yet able to clean my foundations, powder, blush. Oh yeah, before this she clean my eye area using a special cleanser for the eyes.

Then she let me try Water Comfort, doesn't meant I need double cleansing it's just she said this is her favorite product so she thought I would love it too.....I DO!

The burst of peach is just superb, it's just lovely and bring freshness to any boring day. The best thing is my skin feels fresh and soft. Other one step cleanser usually either too oily or too dry. This one is just perfect. I'm not using makeup every single day, I like my skin to breathe and enjoy a fresh air, Water Comfort is perfect for me. And during traveling is just so right to bring it, hassle free and help calms my skin too.

After that is Scrub, a light gentle movement will do. I ask about the difference between scrub and peeling, she said actually none beside application.

Next is toning and after that is the mask. The lady applied a generous amount of HydraQuench Cream Mask, first since the texture seems heavy I'm a bit skeptical, she even applied it on my eyes and lips, I thought, really? Wouldn't be too heavy? It didn't! When she clean them with a wipes all the mask are taken away leaving my skin fresh and well....quenched ^0^....so good...

Her advice: better to use at evening when user is more relaxed.

This is the toner that was used for me.

"Toning Lotion With Camomile "

An alcohol-free floral distillation in lemon yellow which refreshes, soothes, softens and moisturises.

Next is Shapping Facial Lift, with special direction on how to use it, please do learn from the pro, since I never have this kind of technique before to do at home. The white gel-cream is easily absorbed, the moment I spread it on my palm it become watery and light. I doesn't have an immediate tightening effect like other firming product I use, it's definitely interesting.

Now is moisturizing time, a Whitening Moisture Day Emulsion, that also so easy to absorb and feels light. Complete with SPF 20.

Last but not least is the sun protection, that so unique, it also help protect our skin from radiation like during usage of cell phone, computer, etc. The texture is surprisingly light, doesn't give me white-ish effect, light but high in coverage. Nice!

UNIQLO HEATTECH

I'm going to Europe for a winter holiday and I'm preparing myself for a cold winter. I've been to West Coast USA, that is my first winter and I found them cool, not cold, just cool. Then a year after that I went to Beijing and have a -9 degree Celsius that freezes me, leaving me look like a snow man, bundled up in anything I can get my hands on, thick jacket, sweaters, gloves and ninja hat (it covers up everything in my face). Each picture can be like anyone since my face is unseen, no need to look for a curve, a pin from bowling alley look so curvy compared to me.


Then New Zealand and went to Mt Rotorua a year after erupting, it was cold and freezing and I didn't have enough 'protection' as I left my coat in the hotel room. Even if I bring it on I still think it's not enough.


So why do I ramble here? I need the right items for my winter holiday this time, no more freezing, no more looking like a snow man, but gives me enough movement, comfort and warmness. I found UNIQLO!

Which is so soft to the touch and I feel in love the minute I saw the....price. SGD59.90 is sooooo not expensive and come on! It's so soft and I just can't resist this wonderful coat. For me the length also so alluring, I hate when my tummy got cold, so normal jacket will not do for me.

The Mouton Fleece comes in 3 color, Black, Beige (mine) and dark chocolate... I meant brown. And do you know it comes in 2 zipper, so when you pulled both zipper in the middle it can look like you put on a button in the middle for more stylish look and adjusted coverage, smart isn't it?! 

Suggestion from me: Since the shape is not fit to my body (or maybe yours too), get a pretty belt that will accentuate your look and better fit, it does help with the windiness too. My tummy are warmer now ^_^

Do you noticed the head warmer I used? It's Uniqlo too and can be used as a head or neck warmer....comfy! Inside I use the heat tech clothing and leggings.

Next is my old item which I bought a year ago, tried and tested for it's warmest and efficiency to fight against cold.

 

It's:

A technology so great that I think it need a post on it's own, non other than UNIQLO heat tech.

Now, based on my experience using heat tech which is so hot in Singapore should be sufficient in freezing weather.

Other than heat tech shirts, what available here in Singapore is leggings (which is a must have for me), tops, camisole, etc.

And btw did you see the picture above there, where Ms. Charlize is the model, yup, their  ultra light jacket is so light and thin you can actually fold it until so small, an umbrella casing (sort of) is provided, yes, you can fold it until that small, they really defined the word traveling LIGHT.


So winter? Bundle down, please!

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Wash

I bought the product a week ago, finding a daily cleanser in Singapore can be tricky, I'm not looking for make up cleanser, whitening, anti acne, nor anti aging. I'm looking for a simple daily cleanser which I use daily whenever I'm not on makeup, which is often too.

So I bought Hada Labo's foaming facial wash which foamed abundantly, seriously a small pea size can lathered up real good and clean up the whole face from daily dirt. I do double wash whenever using sunblock product. For waterproof makeup I still recommend using a waterproof makeup remover first before cleans everything with this product.

What I like about Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Wash is their not scented, no gimmicks, just pure cleansing wash that help to clean your face without all the fuss I didn't need. I cleans without striping away the moisture, no squeaky skin, suitable for morning wash, and for me anytime. It's a simple cleansing wash that work out well. My skin is a combination of dry cheeks and oily t-zone, but both of the areas are satisfy using this product.

A Big apology

Hi all,

yup yup I know, I am being vacant/MIA/hiatus/awol, whatever it called, these days have been super busy for me. I'll be moving to Jakarta in the coming months and I'll be more busy with boxes and all my stuffed are moved.

There are some products that need to be reviewed ASAP and I try my best to blog them all. My appointment also jam packed and really feel blessed by all the trust these wonderful companies put in me.

Please do bear with me for a while until I get my life back on track.
