a few days ago I was invited by Guerlain, a very famous brand in France for their new launch perfume called, La Petite Robe Noire, the little black dress.

Dress code? Definitely that little black dress.

The event is held in Krakatau Room of Hotel Grand Hyatt, luxurious and grand.

I'm so eager to go in. The door was closely shut until the time to starts.

The MC greet us when we are seated, finally, it's starting.

Followed by Mr. Raja Bhojwani, the Director of P.T Aura Essence with his speech of how it all began in Indonesia.

Then Ms. Caroline Leuseur, Guerlain Asia Pacific Marketing Manager formally introduce us to . . . La Petite Robe Noire.

From the perfumer (Thierry Wasser), the concept (of the little black dress, universal and must have item of every women),

which create a loud 'bang' in Europe.





And worldwide.

I love the design of the bottle. The crafted curves and the black dress, the captivating scent. It's not easy for me at first, but I have to admit, the scent is addicting. Strong at first, oh wait, really strong at first with the hint of sweetness, then stays for hours and hours without being disturbed, settles down in sweetness and calms in the most wonderful white musk. Funny, I found it to be very funny, usually it starts with sweetness and being so easy, then comes floral and ended with something overpowering. La Petite Robe Noire is in the world of her own.

Expect the unexpected. Guerlain is here to make it's mark, again and again.

Collectibles, suitable for daily use and never get bored, next time I'll try the Violet and Lasting Kiss (light pink). They come in so many different shades, it's easy to play around. I don't need to use lip balm before and/or after and no lip gloss as well. Brilliance color? Definitely!

Lancome Blush Subtil Rose 30 Rose Melba

Hi everyone!

It's weekend!! TGIF! It's time to go on a date, special gathering, a night out, etc, it's that special time, and for me, definitely a time for a blush on. Nothing beats a fresh rosy cheeks. Take pictures and looking good is just a must ^__^

Lancome Blush Subtil Rose 30 in Rose Melba has been around since the last quarter of 2011. So they are not new. But the 4 distinctively unique shade, from the rose, peach, white and a bit reddish.

I got mine from Lancome Indonesia some time ago, but haven't got a chance to review, it seems like blush on last a long time, I'm using them for sure . . . maybe my cheeks are too small ^0^

Now, let's see my video, I'm using the Peach Rose Melba for the first time and amazed by how smooth the texture is.





Soft, delicate and natural. I thought it's gonna be so peachy, it turns out, the color become rosy and lovely as well.





Tips:

Use a smaller brush if you want to use the shade portion by portion, added the color gradually, For me I like it better by using the whole shades and provide a gradation of colors. The highlighter definitely can be used alone for the nose line and right below the brows.

Lancome Blush Subtil Rose comes in 4 different palettes from the rosiest rose to the darker warmth, get the one you like by trying first at Lancome counter. Me? I think I'm going to stick with my Rose Melba ^__^

And I'm sceptical, haha! I rarely have mascara that really waterproof as described. Some of them even dare to clumped and ruin everything. Mascara usually used at the last step of the eyes, and if the mascara blot, smudges and creates dark lumps, it literally destroy the whole makeup done in the eyes. I'm really fussy about mascara, will Hypnose Doll Eyes fulfilled my needs?

They do!

No clumps whatsoever, the smooth sailing black liquid is a total breeze to be used and when set, it stays there. No smudges, no dark circles like panda, just pure longer lashes in an instant.

I do have to wait for around 2 minutes before the mascara to completely dry (in humid room), but after they are left with no fluid and desiccate, they are ready for action. I see the instant lengthening effect, volume too. but not in curling.

The mascara do give me a perfect hold, resistant to sweat, sebum and tears (woohoo, thank you!!!) and for the scent ❀  . . . hmm, rose and it's mild, so I won't comment much about it, since after it is set, I can't hardly smell it anymore. 





Would I keep using it?

Definitely!

For the dark glossy fiber look, lengthening, water proof, sweat-sebum-tears proof, smooth operator during application and no clumps whatsoever. Light yet vividly visible effect, for that comfort all day long.

Clean it with eye makeup remover and don't be surprise to see dark hair-like lines, it's the mascara, not your lashes.

Anna Sui Eye Shadow Palette

Hello beauties!

Anna Sui Eye Shadow Palette in 201 (lighter purple), 201 (deep purple), 851 (gold creme) is here to entertain you all with the most beautiful colors.

This is the box and inside there's a casing for 3 eye shadows of your choice. You can simply mix and match to you delight. Please read it HERE for more details including price.

Just detach them one by one and on the bottom part there's a small double tape (glue) to stick the palette conveniently. They'll snug in and feels like home. Mine is exactly the shades used for the promotion of Autumn 2012 Collection. The smell of tea rose is ah-may-zing, loooove it!

Inside there's a tiny brush/sponge, unlike other eye shadows which only gives us the spongy edges, this one there's some brush action, due to the various texture, creamy and powder.

As mention the MUA from Anna Sui told me to use the creamy texture first, then followed by the powder. Usually use the color that's darker then lighter (for the powder). The eye shadows (powder) also can be used as liners for the eyes.

I love the gold cream as t glides so easily on the lid (skin), and it gives me instant radiance effect, glows and stays that way. Then the deep purple, bold and brave, reminds me of the 50's, the era of freedom, best trends and seductive too.

The lighter purple is demure, calming and soothing. It's the bridge between the golden dust and daring purple.

The colors stays with me almost all day long (no rubbing, please) and I love the staying power of the scent as well. Use it with the whole range of Anna Sui Cosmetics and you'll be the Queen of Tea Rose, scentational!

Kanebo Pressed Powder 01 (Media) - Bright Up Powder

This is one of the item I get from traveling in Japan, the Bright Up Powder from Kanebo, I guess I was lured by the multicolored powder.

Below is me using the pressed powder after using Even Better Makeup by Clinique. So the pressed powder is used after foundation/BB cream, I'm not recommending it to be used solo.

I love the instant brightening effect and the skin become soft and smooth. It's not exactly mattefying but definitely keep the sebum away, so the skin appears velvety powdered. For me no.1 suits my skin well for giving a fair look without being pale, no.2 gives the skin a more natural look with more beige.

The powder last for 2-3 hours and need another touch up when I'm outdoor, but if the air is dry or in air-conditioned room, it can last for 4-6 hours (my skin type is combination dry).

The Even Better Makeup with SPF 15/PA++ Evens and Corrects. Evens means it help the complexion to soften and the tone seems unified. Corrects in terms of diminishing age spots, lines and some sorts.

In total Clinique have 30 shades (WOW) and no.1 in terms of foundation being sought after. Amazing isn't it?!

I use Even Better after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.

Even better somewhat like a BB Cream, it is light, gives the skin a smoother look, finer pores and less lines in a go without being too dramatic. Soft, natural and suitable for daily use. As mentioned in the video, I'll use my SPF before Even Better and put on loose powder afterwards to set the base.

Remember to clean the Even Better thoroughly with a makeup remover after use and routine scrubbing (like once a week) promote better glow and radiance, plus no flaky skin or dead skin that usually crumbles when foundation is put on.

This medium coverage base also good for night time and/or day time, just use a mattefying loose powder if I want to look matter and normal loose powder for radiance and moist finish.

Overall, Even Better Makeup SPF 15/PA++ Evens and Corrects the skin so they'll look flawless, healthy and less problematic.
