The Body Shop Superfood Mask

I just got back from an exciting event with The Body Shop Indonesia, where they finally launches their superfood mask consist of: Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask, Amazonian Acai Energizing Radiance Mask, Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask and Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask.

The name of the product not just emphasizing on the ingredients such as honey, acai, rose, etc, but where it came from. So in a way, The Body Shop is still proud and happy to explore their theme of "Enrich Our Products".

On the event, we can see fresh produce that embody the key elements, it was unique and looking at those ingredients does brings us back to nature. And no brand does it better than The Body Shop.

For those who are vegan, 3 out of 5 masks presented are 100% vegan, they are: Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask, and Amazonian Acai Energizing Radiance mask.

These 5 masks are made to be used alone, or best, as multi-masking. On one's face we can use several mask according to the are where the masks are applied. Mine for instance, I have dry cheeks, combination skin and oily on the t-zone.

So, I can use the honey and rose for my cheeks, clay or rice for my t zone and the rest are pampered by acai berry where it nourished the skin like superfood does.

Aside for being multi-masking, made from superfood, vegan*, it is also paraben, silicone, mineral oil, and paraffin free, hooray!!

During the event, we get to try all of the masks, we can choose just using 1, 3 or all 5 of them according to one's need. I'm trying all five. It was pretty unique as different area feels different sensation. My cheeks feels so hydrated and cool, the t zone are tingling and when the masks gets dry and dryer, it harden, the chin as well but doesn't have that tingling sensation. My forehead feels fresh and the smells of acai berry masks is just so fruity and lovely.

My skin is dry, body, face, they are all dry. I have Hydrabio for my face (also from Bioderma) and this product is made for the body.

It has that milky creamy formula, and as seen on the image on top of this post, I can use that much for my legs and arms. Add a bit more for the whole body.

It has a fine and silky texture, rich but comforting and even thou I was worry at first, it was sublime. It create an instant relieve and barrier for my skin and last for the whole day. It melts on the skin, taken, create a thin layer and then it stays velvety. This is a perfect formula for dry skin and sensitive too.

Mine is fragrance free, you can pick one that scented. But for me, I'm fine with this one and my whole family can also use it. We'll be going on a winter holiday soon and this is the perfect lotion I'll definitely bring.

I hate body butter as it stays on the skin, making them greasy and the oils could be too much. Body lotion is often too light, this creme is perfect and I think it is one of my highlight product for dry skin that actually can be used for the kids too.

Love the moist bouncy effect on the skin and it gives mine that subtle glow too, sign of a healthier skin, away from dryness.

B&Soap Pop Block Shampoo Bar

Welcome to a colorful world of B&Soap where natural ingredients are made into cute stuffs we can use everyday.

They have many toiletries from masks to shampoo bar. And this post is made for their pop and fun shampoo bar, and that's literally their names.

Comes in these blocks of red and orange-yellow clear solid bar that smells so good. The red one is Pop Block and the orange-yellow one is Fun Block. They both packaged inside a black box with colorful details. Wrapping them inside, cling plastic wrap, and that's it. Simple yet presentable.

I got mine from Althea, so for sure they are a fresh Korean products.

I'll be visiting Korea soon and hopefully can find stores that sells their products, I love them.

There aren't much details regarding their products on their official website, most of the information are in Korean, thank goodness that Althea provide all the necessary on their website.

So what makes this product so special, what made natural ingredients so good? Apparently based on their founding, dandruff, hair loss, to many other problems happen on the hair nowadays are caused by the everyday stuffs we use. Those shampoo that claims to help the hair shine and so soft with tons of lathers contains SLS which is short for sodium lauryl sulfate.

It irritates the scalp and hair as well.

So in Pop Block, the ones that smells like floral, I feel a bit of peppermint action, it cools my scalp a bit.

I don't really have problem with my scalp aside from being oily, but my hair do need tons of attention, clearly seen from the color. I bleached and constantly color my hair, it does takes its toll.

The result of using Pop Block is instant, the scalp feels clean and the hair does feels stiff like said on their details, which means my hair is really damaged. Hence I was recommended to use conditioner or vinegar if I want a more natural products with similar benefit.

The main focus of the shampoo is help eliminating the bad effects of using the wrong products from the pass. So it's like detoxing too.

So in a way, each of them is made for the skin condition as per written.

As unique as it is, both comes in many shades from light to dark skin tones to those in the middle. The coverage is buildable and comfortable to be used. On my case, since I have dry skin, it is made to last and doesn't crack all day long.

The skin remains dewy and looks moist.

Overall,

A liquid foundation that is made to be used alone or with the series for a maximum coverage (like their concealer). The product alone is perfect for a natural look with a finish that your skin has been looking for, dewy or matte. Dewy is more suitable for dry skin and matte for those with oily skin. Both come in a generous skin tone options and hygienic pump bottle.

Use it with a brush, fingers or sponges as you please as the liquid is fuss free, buildable and simply add a touch of loose powder to set them for good.

Light sun protection and lightweight too, the skin doesn't feel being covered like a heavy makeup do.

1. After shampoo, dry hair slightly
2. Wear the hair cap and put all hair inside
3. Fasten the cap with sticker and massage gently to absorb rich nutrition into your hair

The product comes inside this cap we can simply use on the head. The creamy formula are there. They smell flowery and soft.

When using the cap, it was pretty much warm and I can't use it longer than 25 minutes, I just feel uncomfortable using it for a long period, like it was too stuffy.

The orange cap is light but perhaps since it was filled with mask (not really abundantly, suffice and cover the hair just fine) and plastic, I feel like my head can't breathe. I don't know how that made sense, but it did.

Anyway, After 20 minutes I'm taking it off and feel the air is so cool.

I rinse it off with a tepid water and feel my hair become so soft. So does the floor in my bathroom, everything feels so slippery.

I can easily comb them and enjoy my hair being tame again. No dryness felt nor looking coarse, like they are normal again.

And as usual, these kind of result is not permanent, I have to regularly mask my hair to maintain it's condition. So my hair can look like hair again and shine.

1. Peel open each pack and put on mask on each finger
2. Leave on for 30 minutes to 1 hour
3. Massage remaining liquid from mask in the fingernail area onto fingernails and fingertips after removing mask from each finger

Next in line, is their nail pack. This is unique. Most products comes in a form of a tube, cuticle formula or well, hand cream. This one is in packs where each finger gets it's own home.

Inside the white lotion is waiting, to soften and made them feel comfortable.

15-20 minutes while watching TV fly by. Since I can't use them with my smartphone hence watching TV is my only option.

This is a unique experience for sure. The lemon citrus aroma is fresh and the lotion made the nails looks shiny too. I hope it nourish my nails as I color them often.

When I took it off, there's still some lotion left and I just distribute it evenly and wait for another 10 minutes or rinse it since I kinda need my fingers. Even after rinsing, the nails and fingers which are previously inside those pack still feel so soft and smooth. The aroma is definitely gone after rinsing but the effect is still there for the whole day.

Continue with a Hand Therapy Pack. Like it's name, it was made for the hand and yes, a glove is definitely included. The hair has it's cap, the nails has their own individual packs, and for sure, the hands also has theirs.

Open it up and inside the gloves are the lotion as well. Just put the hands and fingers on every section correctly and voila, wait for 20 minutes and enjoy the delightful scent. This one is pretty fragrant.

And yes, I can't play with my smartphone when using the gloves. TV is a good option or take a nap. Waking up, open the gloves, and there's still some white lotions lefts on the skin like the image below.

Simply massage the leftovers or rinse it when you need a squeaky clean hands like I do. The skin will remain soft and smooth even after rinsing and this treatment is suitable to be repeated once a week for hands that always soft and smooth.

Tony Moly Super Peeling Liquid

Hello lovelies,

this is a super peeling liquid by Tony Moly that was made for the feet. Yes, those feet where we put so much pressure every single day. To many abuses and neglect. I used to pamper my feet when I have the time, putting on generous body butter or petroleum jelly and socks, but I rarely have the time now.

Looking for something that instant and help those remove all those dead skin cells , I know there's a lot of similar products, and some are really good removing the upper layer of the skin and in about 2-3 weeks, new skin emerge. So soft and smooth.

Very easy to be used, just read everything on the packaging, it's a good thing that they do provide every little details in English.

Pretty much just clean the feet and let them dry thoroughly. Put the plastic cover and soaked the feet with the liquid provided. Usually (on other brand), one pack is made for single usage. Tony Moly gave two packages for a second application.

Here's what inside the product, a bag for each foot, the liquid and there's sachets of foot cream too.

Here's my feet before.

The heels are so dry and cracked everywhere.

They are no problems from above, but everything is clearly seen on the bottom part. The part that touches the ground every single day.

On the image below, you can clearly see the cracked heels.

What does cracked heels came from, dryness? Excessive dryness? Or perhaps other things? Some even says all of the above and the fact that they are touching water every now and then, frictions from movements and things that actually unavoidable. We can simply care for the feet by weekly scrubs and put more moisturizing agents such as body butter and so on, but it can be a bit of a problem as it made the feet super slippery. So do be careful.

After reading all the details, I put some of those acidic clear water like lotion into the foot bag and soak my feet. It felt cold and weird. Perfect for a hot day as a cool feet does made the whole body feels cooler.

Tied them up and leave it on for around 2 hours. Yes, 2 whole hours, it felt squishy, wet and I can still walk around, just be careful not to spill anything as it smells like vinegar and I don't want anyone in the family accidentally have to have a peeled skin due to products.

After the 'soaking' time over. Rinse the feet and wait for the magic to happen.

Around 5 days later, the dead skin starts to develop and things do looks like they are getting worse before eventually getting better.

No pain was involved in the whole process, from the beginning to the end. When does it ends?

On my feet is around 2 weeks. The skin does become softer, smoother and the cracked heels appear finer but not 100% gone. Other brand does it better and the exfoliating period is also worse. A huge dead skin everywhere, while this one is pretty mild, perhaps that's why they provide 2 package instead of one.

Overall,

a good product that removes dead skin cells on the feet in 2 weeks without any pain nor discomfort. For a very dry cracked heels a longer soaking time is needed or perhaps repeat the routine around at least a month later.

Easy to be used, just walk slowly when needed and don't let it spill as the liquid is pretty much like vinegar and doesn't smell nice.

Be patient during the process, just wear shoes to avoid being looked at, and reveal a smoother and softer feet after around 2 weeks. Don't pull the dead skin off, let them off by themselves.
