Kerastase has just launch and celebrate a new collection for very damage hair. Answering the calling of those who love torturing their hair for the sake of trend and beauty (my hands are raised) also for the urge to reveal the true self through texture and colors of their hair.

I love experimenting, trying new shades, new style, new possibilities, and that also means putting my hair on the risk of breakage, total damage to severe dryness.

These simple steps constitute a targeted, in-salon treatment which establishes a ritual haircare routine that women can do in-home with Kérastase products.

There are uniqueness in this series, start from the primer, we've heard and using primer for our makeup (face) and this is the primer made for the hair.

And after that, the shampoo itself comes in a balm formula, like a thick gel, smells really fragrant and lathers well.

And the list goes on, so let's start digesting one by one.

The texture is like a cream, the aroma of the collection is all similar, a bit like oceanic musk, almost like conditioner, used on wet hair and only for the hair (avoiding scalp). Rinse well after 1-3 minutes. Mine is for severely damaged hair (3-4) since I constantly bleached and processed my hair (sorry).

Step 2, after rinsing the primer off the hair. Use the Balm in Shampoo for the scalp and hair. On wet hair, apply the gel (after being lathered on the palm with a bit of water) on the scalp and hair. Massage everything well and enjoy the soft and gentle lather on the hair and scalp. The primer already protecting the hair, so the hair feels soft and protected from the friction made during lathering.

I find it best to comb the hair before going into the shower and turns out that it helps the hair a lot. During shampooing usually the hair becomes a mess, taut and easily break. Using the primer does helps a lot, it made the hair tangle free and I can feel their become stronger and especially more flexible during shampooing.

Since the shampoo comes in a balm consistency, it took me around half of the normal size (of other shampoo). They lather really well and the scalp and hair feels clean without that squeaky dryness that actually bad for the hair.

Since I have oily scalp, I need to wash the hair on daily basis. Using the balm in shampoo is perfect for my hair, but my scalp need one that tackle the oiliness, so sometime, I use a shampoo for oily scalp on my scalp only and clean the rest of the hair using Kerastase Resistance Therapiste Balm in Shampoo.

The tube is similar to the primer, the difference is the primer comes in a slightly matte and this one is shiny teal.

After cleaning the scalp and hair and of course enjoying the ocean breeze scents, it's mask time. A time to fully pamper the hair and see the instant result from the series. A good mask always deliver faster remedy, and this one is definitely categorized as a good mask.

• • Apply a quarter-size amount to wet hair (mid-lengths and ends)
  • Massage through. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

The product comes in a pot (like any other masks from Kerastase, and each pot has their own home made out of boxes. The box is filled with details on each side, do read before usage.

Open and see the inside, the pot has a lid to help them stays inside and doesn't spill.

The cream is white and dense, perhaps this is one of the most dense mask from Kerastase.

It's thick and satisfying, I can use it on my wet damp hair (after shampooing) and see that the mask actually sticks on the part of the hair that being damaged. It stays there for the whole 5 minutes and when rinsed, I can feel that each strand of hair becomes fuller, like the coarse part has been sealed with goodness. The volume, body and strength of the hair kinda like brand new, like touching a virgin hair that hasn't been damaged by anything.

Thick, full of life and so soft.

After the hair being pampered by the mask, where the hair strands deeply restored, now, a conditioner is used. Ciment Anti Usure is not a new product, actually it is from the previous collection. For me, it help seal the deal, the last layer, the one that completed my routine so the hair not just being taken care of within, but outside as well. From external daily aggressor such as hot tools, sun, wind and anything that we do on daily basis.

The conditioner help strengthen the hair follicle too and beside the conditioner, there's a leave in conditioner too that smells so fruity fresh, different from the Resistance Therapiste that speaks musk, oceanic breeze and deep scents from the sea.

The hair doesn't look so coarse and 'thin' anymore, like literally pampered and fills with goodness, the differences is obvious, the hair feels elastic again, seriously plumped, doesn't feel dry like before and away from being fragile. I even gain confident to bleach my hair once again (haha!).

I'll definitely continue using these babies and help my hair getting it's core strength more and more each day, and of course become healthily strong once again.
