Althea Makeup Sunrise & Moonrise, Watercolor Cream Tint, and Flawless Creamy Concealers

Hello lovelies,

after about a month or two trying their makeup set, here they are, the reviews of the products. I did made a youtube video (here) where I'm using all of their products, including an acne gel and sparkly gel eyeliner.

On the photos here, I'm using the makeup too from Althea. From Eyeshadow, concealers, liquid lips and glittery eyes. My theme was a Glistening Red Valentine Makeup with Althea. The skin itself looks flawlessly glistening, perhaps thanks to all the concealers applied and cover all imperfections. The products are easy to be used and simple as it is. Their pigments also not bad, pretty much bold and daring.

I know the red lips can be intimidating, but they also have the coral too, don't worry, since the theme is red valentine, I just had to use the red one and I love it, it's perfect for red lovers.

The eyeshadow itself is pretty creamy and easy to be blend, when doing makeup for indoor photoshoot I can imagine myself adding some vaseline for a watery lids and how charming it would be.

Okay, let's start again from the base, from the concealers creams, they are creamy alright and comes in 4 shades. I know that they are pretty mild and bright in terms of shade, no visible darkness here, just vanilla, ginger, honey, and mocha. I can't even use the darkest one as contouring but they work like a charm in hiding imperfections.

Dab, dab, dab on the area needed, doesn't have to be the whole face, but you can if you want, and then blend it using a brush or sponge, or even finger. It will stay, puff it out with a bit of powder to set the concealing power.

And these are the eyeshadows, the one that can be used as highlights on any part of the face and body too. My cheeks are using them on the top part, hence you can see the glistening, it just add a sparkly dimension on the face. There are some fall outs but it was bearable, do some baking before applying eyeshadow for a cleaner finish.

Plum, strawberry, peach and marron, they are all so gorgeous and staining too, so your lips wont ever be naked when using the cream tint, there's always a flush, and I'm using it for my cheeks too on these photos.

The product smells like berry, not really heavily scented but it was noticeable. The creamy formula is comfortable and pleasant, kinda slippery and wet, and it does stays wet for a long time, you can simply dab a bit with tissue to ease the 'wet' sensation so they'll become more comfortable. But if you prefer a wet glass lips, just leave it on. The cream tint also easy to be reapply as it wont be noodling.

Spotlight Eye Glitter

Last but not least, the glistening on the inner corner of my eyes are the spotlight eye glitter and the swatches are below the lippies on the picture above. There's one in gold and pink, we can use it as a glitters for the mid of the lids, or inner corner of the eyes, or waterlines, or even on other places the body.

The product does last and have a good staying power, but not really rub proof. It resist water too but not completely as in it will gradually lessen and lessen as in it will fall off little by little.

So, what do you think about these babies, I still think that they worth having. On the image below, did you noticed that the lips is different? That's when the product has been lifted off using facial tissue, so the stained lips look itself is pretty amazing and suitable for daily use, in the end, it is pretty kiss-proof for a romantic valentine night.

The are a lot of interesting products that catches my eyes, and I'm so intrigue to try them. The thing about cosmetic is that how the color could stay true and 'stick' on our skin. You must rememvber how frustrating it is to use a makeup, like perhaps blush on or eyeshadow and when you apply it on your face, the color like doesn't want to come out no matter how many layers you've put.

So doesn't matter about the price tag or how other raves about it, you want that convenience for yourselves and prove it.

Nude Eyeshadow Palette, Banana Powder, and Auto Brow Pencil (mine happen to be in brown).

The first thing we'll see is their Banana Powder.

Highlight, set and colour correct with this three-in-one wonder powder! BYS Loose Banana Powders yellow toned, mattifying pigment helps to brighten under eye circles and set areas of the face where you would use to conceal.

The powder is like a loose powder but a bit thicker in terms of ability to cover. And I'm using it for baking where then after blending it helps 'to clean' everything so my skin receive that fresh, flawless look.

Banana Powder is famous nowadays, it acts like a finishing powder too but have better setting power than the 'normal' loose powder we know. The particle is still considerately fine yet dense.

This is their eyebrow pencil crayon aka Auto Brow Pencil. Their name could be pencil but as said, it have the texture of crayon, it's rich and thick, do apply by pressing very gently to avoid brows that was too thick.

Brows are the hottest trend right now and yours will look fabulous with these easy to use tools from BYS Cosmetics. The brush is also unique since it was made for the wax-crayon like formula. It's like a rubbery thingy that helps blending the product so the brows looks like bushy stripy hairs and not powdery. So if you are looking for an eyebrow pencil that coated the hair and made your eyebrow appear fuller, thicker and like it was hairs, this is the thing for you. I actually like the finish as it appear like they are my brow not a drawn object.

This brows also become water resistant too, I have to use an oil-based makeup remover to easily cleans it over. So when I was sweating or drenched in rain, I'll still have brow thanks to Auto Brow Pencil.

If you prefer something darker or lighter, no worries, they come in several different shades.

Next, it's their Nude Eyeshadow Palette, hooray!!!

In the picture above, I'm using it as a soft and natural as daily makeup, but as seen on their container, they are definitely not made for the nude only, bright and deep colours are available.

I was surprised on how well they stick on my eyelids without any eye primer. I know most eyeshadow works like a charm after eye primer is applied, but this one doesn't need any. You may apply your eye base but I assure you, the look below, doesn't use any base on the lids.

The colors are gorgeous and true. Adding a primer would made them even pop or perhaps some soft colors but hey, it was there for a reason.

The mirror is huge like shown in the image above, and there's some basic applicators too.

The container might be a bit tacky but the product works like a charm.

as said, I will review them one by one and I can't resist my self not to touch the eyeshadow palette among the first to be devoured.

It kinda having it all, from purest white, beige nudes, black, to bluish and purplish hue.

So I kinda get romantic night, smokey eyes, cocktail nights, to daily makeup without a sweat. They all there, ready to be used, with the same consistency, thickness and pigments that are so spot on.

Here they are in swatches, they look awesome. It's like playing with super pigmented chalk when I was a kid. I love drawing on our garage floor, they are beautiful and these are a friendly reminder of my colorful childhood. Reminds me to play more with colors too for my look. These shadows are perfect for the eyes and anywhere. Mixed it up with petroleum jelly, glitter gel, or just about anything according to your imagination, or as it is, perfect matte.

Playing between the tones can obviously show 3D effects, like a rounded eyelids or something that more sophisticated or even dark. They are my current hobby thanks to Make Up For Ever.

Getting the eyes fixed needs a lot of technique and I'm intrigue since a good product also helps, this one sure do. They don't easily crumbled, fall out or dusty. The powder is loose yet stick just right on the right place. Using any brush or even finger will definitely do and I love seeing the result as every swipe means setting it in and never wears off.

As mentioned on the website, all of the shadows are in matte finish. 9 matte shadows that represent endless combination. Not that the brand is shy with the tones or lack of options, in fact, Make Up For Ever is one of the brand with the most hue in the business and we love them for that.

Here are the 16 swatches, some looks so faint but it's so not, especially with the movement, they capture lights so beautifully.

Below, I'm using what we may see as the faintest shade but it create that 3D appearance on my lids. I think the image words more than any description I can give you :D

This is perhaps the softest look I've created using the bar, and it goes beyond explanation that the shadows can be used anywhere else than just the eyes, like shading or contouring to even highlights.

The pigments are gorgeous, deep and so soft plus smooth, like this is eyeshadow should feel like. The texture is just spot on. So fine, velvety, like a merit between cream and powder that ends with happy ending. So when I run my fingers across the palette, the buttery quality is hard to beat. Like I can't go back to any other brand now, I want all mine to be Too Faced.

So whether I'm in the mood for something dark and deep shadows I have it here or something light airy, pure colorful or simple yet exquisite, simply change the combination of the colors, shade, intensity and voila, I'm a happy customer.

The Body Shop New Brand Ambassador

around two weeks ago The Body Shop invited medias and bloggers to introduce their new brand ambassador.

The event was held in at Senayan area and it was lush-full. Greens and The Body Shop just blends in like it was meant to be.

The first thing that greeted me, is their body butters in many different variants, and then there's tables for cosmetics, skincare and everything in between we could play on.

The variants at The Body Shop is always irresistible, they keep adding new variants that looks pretty and delightful. Fresh is always the key. Plus, they keep changing new packaging too, I can't seem to take my eyes from their new bottles.

A responsible brand that always keep up with the trend, but today, it's all about the new brand ambassador that seems to be in sync with The Body Shop philosophy, you've probably seen her on the store lately.

The event itself is an intimate gathering where we met the new brand ambassador in person and listen as she shares her favorites from The Body Shop.

Cinta Laura looking lovely that afternoon with a floral dress. Yes, she is the new brand ambassador. I've seen her at the shop before for the British Rose collection and she does appear as lovely as a British Rose should be.

On the event, we also given products that are coming from the brand ambassador special collection from the collaboration with The Body Shop Indonesia.

The palette itself is ready for customers at The Body Shop and it can be bought as mono or singles. These palettes are crafted together named as Down to Earth.

There's Down to Earth Smoky Gold, Prune, Black and mine is Smoky Grey.
