YSL Google Glass Experience

Hello everyone,

Yves Saint Laurent Beaute has just share one of the most unique experience in the makeup industry, using a Google Glass to help customer understand and see plus learn how to do a makeup like a professional makeup artist.

Through the Google Glass, the process of a makeup application will be recorded and then shared with them through email. By watching the detailed process, we can later re create the makeup and technique used.

The event itself in Indonesia is held at Pondok Indah Mall 2. Located at the atrium near the SOGO, VIP customers and media gets a chance to see the whole process.

First, as usual, they share the audience arrays of products from YSL Beaute in the museum.

From the famous lipsticks, touche eclat, to their latest foundation are all here.

It's a world of uncompromising beauty with our own rule.

I also get to try the Google Glass during the event, it was a futuristic moment for me. The Google Glass itself feels like a normal glass, with a bit of weight on the right side where the camera is.

Soon, the event began with Ms. Sylvia Yohana welcoming all the guests.

The event is held from 25-31st of May 2015. During the weekend, which is 29-31st of May 2015, Francis Lim, a national makeup artist for Global YSL Beaute is there. Since the media are invited on the 29th, we get to meet him and see him doing a live makeup demo.

After getting ready and gets a seat, Francis Lim started his art works on a model.

The makeup went on smoothly and if you want, you can check out my instagram account @carnellin where I post some live updates including videos as well.

It was pretty fast and here are the models after the makeup do.

She is using the new product which is Fusion Ink Foundation that gives the skin a semi matte finish. It is light but gives ample coverage on her skin. No powder is applied so we can see how the foundation stays on its place without the need of powders.

YSL Volupte Tint in Oil

When hearing about oil, all of us are thinking about greasy, and well, oily. So, I have little expectation when I first try it.

When see the packaging, it is in gold and looks fabulous, the product as well, so beautifully made and designed (as always from Yves Saint Laurent). The color of the middle part where YSL is engraved shown the shade of the product. It comes in several shade and Coral is one of them. Please do visit YSL Beauty counter near you for further details regarding the available color selections.

The wand is shaped like a curvy lips with an opening in the middle so you'll never use it too much. The tip is cushioned and soft to the lips. The aroma of the product is amazingly juicy and fragrant. And the texture, is like a very light oil, but I think the name of the Tint in Oil is to the remarkable shine it produces. Without the greasy effect for sure. After all, this is Yves Saint Laurent's.

The products may come in several options of shades but on the lips, it miraculously follow our natural lip color, like the one shown above is YSL representative (Ms. Enny) she's wearing the one with Gold and nothing else on her lips. Look how pink her lips are.

And below is me using the one in Coral, the essential oils used are so comfortable and gives the lips an instant healing, rejuvenating and softening effect like no other. The lips become smooth and deliciously shines.

The color on me is so soft and delicate. I can use it alone, on top of a lippie, under, and like a base and top coat for a more delightful effects.

Will I keep using the products? For sure!

YSL Youth Liberator Y-Shape

here are two babies from Yves Saint Laurent beauty collection (#YSLBeauty) the Y Shape Concentrate and Cream from the Youth Liberator collection.

I can only find information about the cream from the site. So the concentrate is pretty much the essence of the cream with other details (such as ingredients and detailed information on the pamphlet inside) available on the packaging.

This post is solely based on the experience of using the travel size product that last around 1-2 weeks.

Start from the concentrate, the light serum become my instant favorite, it is so luxurious, rich and light at the same time. The aroma of YSL Beauty products is just as always, wonderfully scented. The concentrate penetrate easily on my skin, leaving a soft and velvety feeling, ready for the cream.

The cream feels thick at first like a creamy gel, but when applied on the skin, like it's melting and so pretty.

I also enjoy the aroma and the cream just moisturizes the skin instantly with a slight tight feeling, perhaps the combination of both activated and gives the skin a slight firming effect. It's not major, but like a gentle lift.

I could not say there's a significant effect in using these minis but from the texture and experience of using them for 1-2 weeks, I don't mind trying the full size for the hydration, sense of firmness and aroma

YSL Vernis A Levres No.33

this is not a new item, nor something that need introduction as the glossy stain has been very, very famous around the world. I've personally has been a fan for years, it is very pretty, luxurious and just wonderful from the first time.

Without further ado. This is number 33. The shade is like a deep red with purple hue, somewhat mysterious, but definitely gorgeous in every angle.

The brush is one of the highlight for sure. It is like so soft, caressing the lips and making sure every bit of the lips covered in this bloody shade.

I can use it lightly and get a hint of the deep rose or layered it up for a maximum drip of color.

The result and feeling is of course, like a thin film enveloping the lips, hugging them tight with the airy feeling possible.

A color so powerful yet able to embodied the lips and overall look into something that I would like to call, mesmerizing.

This is a really comfortable glossy stain I've tried.

And if you're still curious, look at the swatch below when it firs applied. So wet and the color is super duper pretty.

And does it really staining the skin?

Yes it does, even after wiping it off with a cotton damped by micellar water.

YSL Forever Light Creator CC Cream in Apricot

here's a new product from Yves Saint Laurent Beauty department, a CC Cream that comes in three variant shades, Rose, Lavender, and mine Apricot.

The packaging is similar to any Forever Light Creator product, in glossy purple, beautiful and elegant. The CC Cream comes in a pearly pink and purple tube, ready to be used when the cap is open.

This is apricot, the one that look mostly like our natural skin tone. The cream is wonderfully light and smells so fragrant, another signature sign of a YSL Beauty products. The scent is like one of their fragrance.

The CC Cream is used on a clean skin after skincare routine is done. I'm using a sponge but found fingers and brush are equivalent since the texture of the cream is very forgiving and highly usable.

Then top it off with a BB Loose Powder, or I can use another foundation, BB Cream, or just a loose powder for a different finish. From maximum coverage to natural look is all possible.

Below are me using the CC Cream and top it off with a BB Loose Powder before coloring.

The CC cream hides large pores, fine lines, uneven skin tone, mild blemishes and add that touch of glow to the skin without looking too much. On my normal to dry skin, this is my favorite CC Cream at the moment. I'm loving it and get the credit on many events of my flawless looking skin thanks to this CC Cream.

How about the durability? The 'melting' hours? Well, on me and perhaps since I'm using a quite powerful BB Loose Powder, they can last all day, but if you happen to have oily skin, do touch up using a good loose powder every 3 hours.

YSL Beauty also share the Blush Lumieres, the shade spectrum are Rosewood, Fuschia, Pink and Coral, Orange, and Sand. A total of 9 shade where each of them cost IDR 680.000.

It is best to consult with the beauty advisor at the counter on tips in how to use the product. Shades mixed together or applied separately.

YSL Beauty also introduce the Forever Youth Liberator Y Shape (hooray!!). Made to help the ideal Y-shape for face contours, neck and decolette.

Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator Serum

recently, I've been using this wonderful serum from Yves Saint Laurent called Forever Light Creator, a serum that helps correcting the skin tone.

Somehow during the video the serum smells so good, but now, it seems like the scent is fading away, either faded or I'm already get used to it. Either way, the serum feels really good and comfortable on the skin, it does made the skin looks more luminous from the first usage.

I hate my redness more than dark spots, since the spots are less visible, but the redness are there, under the nose and some other area, made my skin looks irritated and angry. It frustrates me how it goes on and off.

Forever Light Creator Serum not just helping the dark spots but the redness are fading as well, is is suitable for my sensitive skin.

The large pores are still there, reduced but still there after 1-2 weeks using the product, the redness are far less, the spots are starting to breaks apart, the skin looks plump and younger thanks to the hydrating ability and far more relaxed so the lines doesn't stressed.

This is a very good serum that I would like to recommend for those with the same issues as I am.
