Beauty Story Holiday Collection

Beauty Story has launched their holiday collection in December 2016. Since I was away on a holiday hence could not make it, this post will focusing on the review and share about the gifts without the event report.

Above is a pouch where "Eye Like This" is written clearly, as witty as it is the pouch contain products for the eyes. From eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow pencil, and eyeshadow.

The size of the pen is just right, the 'blackness' is deep and satisfying, but it's not as smooth as I want it to be, a bit tugging, hence I do recommend using it as short connected lines instead of one stroke for a better finish.

The product is convenient to be used, I don't have any allergic reaction nor irritation upon usage. The formula does have a good staying power but definitely can't stand against my greasy eyelid (oh well, not many does) but since it was waterbased, it cleanses easily with foaming facial wash. The good news is, it simply doesn't smudge. The formula crumble and fall but never smudge.

For me, this is a perfect go to eyeliner to put inside my purse. I normally use eyeliner during special occasion, like right before an event. A hot and humid weather made eye makeup doesn't really last, if you wonder that many beauty advisor inside department stores has really good eye makeup without ever seeing them smudge nor has panda eyes, one of the reason beside products is that. they are using it when they are already arrived at the mall. Hence the air conditioner has worked and it is cool and dry. They can apply makeup better without the delays from the humidity as the makeup set.

Line Up dries pretty fast and sets as dark as I want it too, as long as I was kept indoor with the air conditioner on, the eyeliner will stays beautiful.

It was so slim, in fact for me, it was a bit too slim. I wish the pencil would be chubbier for an easier grip. However, since the pencil is slim, the tip as well, therefor we can easily create fine lines for eye brows or even make fine stripes like the eyebrow has been embroided.

The product itself is not waterproof nor water resistant. It does has staying power, but not against wiping. Hence, when the rain come, cover them well.

Unlike High Brow, Romantic Eye Pencil, aka the eyeshadow and eyeliner in one is actually resist to water better and a waterproof too. It was superb.

It was really easy to be used and the  color is soft to bold, we can easily blend it before it set, use it as eyeliner or I prefer it as eyeshadow due to the shade. But the romantic feeling is there without fail. Use a firm brush right after application to help smudge them, and it will set in a matter of seconds.

And the product will stay on beautifully. Really love the staying power, I wish they come with more shades to pick.

The shape is just unique, and the size of the brush is big, really big. Those who have short lashes, like me, may have difficulty using the product.

Since I have eyelash extension and mascara is not suggested to be used, my sister gladly demonstrate and use the product for review purpose.

Look how big the mascara wand is, it is almost as the size of her eye.

And below is the result of her using the mascara.

The mascara unable to grasp the lashes from the root, only a halfway through. It help defining the lashes into a darker shade, longer and better in volume.

Since the wand is quite big, using it is a bit of a challenge itself, mistakes easily happens, do have a cotton bud around for a bit of mess.

Once used, the mascara is pretty good in terms of waterproof, staying power, smudge and mess proof. But we would prefer it with small brush and smaller wand too to help those in shorts.

Next is the collection that comes with mascara, eyeliner, lip balm, cc cream, and a blusher.

Some of them are already shared here and some other are on my previous posts some time ago.

The CC Cream and blusher, a cream wonderful blusher which now I have in rose, my favorite shade.

Fruity Tinted Sweety Lip Balm.

It was really convenient like a lip balm should be, hydrating and comfortable. Love the fruity notes and the fresh strawberry shade. It is tinted just enough, like the kind of tinted that gives a sheer hint for daily use, teens who wants to look natural and fresh without looking like using makeup should definitely try the lip balm. It has goodness that help protects dry lips as well.

And this is the blusher, the cream cheek in rose.

The product is usable for lip and cheek.

A great multi-tasking cream color that perfectly blushing your cheek and even your lips too! It's in a mirrored flip-top compact for on-the-spot application. The silky and creamy texture makes it easy to blend on the apples of your cheeks for a dewy look. Blot it on your lips for a soft, stained finish.

The lip and cheek is blendable, perfect to be used before loose powder or finishing powder.

It is buildable as well, use a few strokes for a natural look or adding it some more layer by layer for a bolder finish.

And this is Sweet Lip and Cheek in close up, it look super cute and the big rounded mirror is pretty handy too.

Overall, I still think that Beauty Story are a brand that deliver good product with the price that doesn't hurt. Their prices are still around Rp. 50.000 and most of them doesn't contain known harmful chemicals nor ingredients. It is also rather soft and natural in finish, perfect for those who doesn't really like 'fake' finish.

These are some of the products from Beauty Story that I've been using for the past few days.

The Magical CC Cream, Romantic Eye Pencil and Sweet Lip and Cheek.

Magical CC Cream. A correction for complexion with a hint of pink fresh dewy look that comes in a tube.

It is said that the product gives illuminating coverage, skin tone correction, moist and lighweight, brightening, with UVA and UVB protection of SPF 30 PA++.

The cream can be used as a base after skincare or primer before applying other product such as foundation or directly to compact powder.

Like almost all of the packaging from Beauty Story, it's a faint salmon pink.

Look at the cream below, looks pretty isn't it?!

Well, at first I kinda underestimate the product, why? 1. It's new. 2. the texture is light and like a lotion. 3. I couldn't find much details since they haven't have many reviews. So here's more information from the website:

I can use my finger, brush or sponge when using the cream, it really doesn't matter as it blends well anyway.

The feeling on the skin is quite comfortable. Almost like using a moisturizer, a creamy moisturizer.

The CC Cream which cost Rp.95.000 makes the skin instantly glows and looks super pretty. Somehow their products reminds me of a K-Pop look, dewy, pinkish, lovable and made the user appears younger.

This is Romantic Eye Pencil.

I'm using it as a smudged eyeliner.
It blends really well on the eyelids and creating this cloudy effect. Oh wait, the shade is in Cloudy. Beside Cloudy, Beauty Story also carries Mist, Petal, and Rose Leaf.

I can use it as an eyeliner and eyeshadow. The creamy formula feels comfortable on the eyelids, I love how they care for the user with no parabens, sulphates and phthalates in the ingredients.

The last item I'm trying is their Lip and Cheek in Sweet Pea.

A great multi-tasking cream color that perfectly blushing your cheek and even your lips too! It's in a mirrored flip-top compact for on-the-spot application. The silky and creamy texture makes it easy to blend on the apples of your cheeks for a dewy look. Blot it on your lips for a soft, stained finish.

The product which comes in two shades only (this and Rose) are so cute. At first, looking at Sweet Pea as in not very happy with the orange tone, I'm certain that it will look weird on me, and again, I'm so wrong.

Above image, on my right cheek I'm using none and the left one using Sweet Pea, it looks so pretty.

Like a delightful hint of coral on the cheeks. And below after adding a lipstick. A complete look.

The creamy and glossy formula of the Lip and Cheek is appealing. It snugged comfortably on the cheeks or lips (I didn't use it on the lips for the image above). They can appear with shine when used after powder or matte when used before powder. So the finish can be determined by the order of usage.

As seen on the finished look, the CC Cream helps to even out the skin tone but doesn't cover major imperfection like my erupting acne. It helps the skin to appears much more healthier, dewy, blooming and bright.

Cloudy eye pencil is so easy to be used and blend on the lids, so does the Lip and Cheek Cream. The Sweet Pea is so sweet and satisfying. The color is dainty and surprisingly endearing.

Definitely a collection that deserves a chance to be recognize. Budget friendly and in terms of quality, they are quite good as well, plus, they contain no parabens and other known harmful chemicals.

Grand Launching of Beauty Story

Hello beauty lovers!!!

Have you heard a brand called Beauty Story? No? Haven't, or perhaps a little?! Maybe it's because they just launch their brand recently so not many people are aware.

This, Indonesian made brand is here to fill in the gaps that need to be fulfilled, a line of cosmetics with drizzled with everything pink and girly.

I was dreadfully late during the event and these are the products lying on the table. They looks so cute and pretty. Dressed in blush, with flowers and golden words engraved: Beauty Story.

Their shades and colors are vividly dashing with bubble gum, taffy, magenta, coral, to rosewood.

Aren't they dainty?!
