Argan Oil by Green Esthetics

Hello lovelies,

as a beauty enthusiast, you've probably used or at least heard about Argan Oil. For the past few years, Argan Oil is known as liquid gold. A precious oil that has many benefits on our skin (face and body) hair and even nails too.

Around a month ago Green Esthetics offer me some of their products to be reviewed, one of the product is Argan Oil.

Benefits for skin:

Reduces wrinkles and lines by stimulating skin cell renewal, increases skin hydration and elasticity, and combats free radicals. Also used to treat burns, acne and to reduce scaring and stretch marks.

Benefits for hair:

Hydrates hair adding shine and reducing frizziness and split ends. Also contains antioxidants to repair the hair and scalp on a cellular level and reduce dandruff.

Benefits for Finger Nails and Cuticles:

Fortifies fingernails making them stronger while softening the cuticles giving a radiant look. The argan oil treatment for your nails is easy. Simply dip your fingertips in a solution of 50% argan oil and 50% lemon juice.

They shipped the oils directly from Morocco, at their website, you could see they are 'collecting' certificates from ecocert, Bio cert, GMO free, animal cruelty free, USDA Organic, and Natural Ingredients Pledge.

Everything seems so good but one thing that always made the difference is, is it effective? That's the only question that would decide a customer into purchasing or not.

I'm not impress with the packaging and the design,  I think it could be better, much better.

The container itself works just fine and the pump works well, the oil comes out beautifully and hmm, I can't seem to find the ingredients list here and there.

I've tried many argan oils in the market, I'm not an expert but I know that it has been used in many ways, from body lotion, body creme, as a shampoo, hair serum, hair mask, and this is the first time I received an argan oil for top to toe. Usually, it's already mixed inside a product as mentioned.

Argan Oil from Green Esthetics is fragrant, perhaps it is mixed with fragrance, since I can't find the ingredients list, I can confirmed.

On the nails, it help them shines and appear stronger, since I do occasionally have chipped nails, I think I have to keep on using it for a longer period of time to see the results.

Beside the nails, I've used it on my hair and it has to be really in small amount, like 2-3 drops for my medium length hair. More than that, it feels too oily, I find it best as a pre-shampoo treatment. Massage the scalp and hair with around 4 full pumps of Argan Oil. Leave them around 30 minutes - 1 hour or as long as you can stand them being greasy. And then wash the hair with shampoo, rinse well, add 2-3 drops of Argan Oil onto your favorite conditioner and put them on the mid length of your hair all the way to the ends. Leave them around 5 minutes and rinse everything off.

Dry and style as usual and I'm noticing my hair shines even better and without the greasy residue.

I didn't use it on my face since I can't really tolerate oily matters on the skin. Jakarta itself already very humid and I always prefer a water based skincare for the face. If I had to, an emulsion where water become mixed with oils is the maximum level of thickness I can take, moisturizing creams also feels too much.

Still, I can use it as a mask, mixed around 2 pumps with 2 spoon of honey, applied on a cleaned skin and let it rest for around 10-15 minutes, rinse and cleaned well the skin will appear more hydrated, healthy and have that radiant glow.

On the body, I'm mixing it with my body lotion, during each application I add 1 pump to the 1 dose of lotion I'm using, and it is only for night time since it become too oily during the day. Perhaps if I live in a dryer climate the Argan Oil would be more usable on daily basis. When used at night time, the oil will stay on the skin for 8 hours and waking up with a softer and supple skin. It feels good, like I just put on a sleeping mask on my body.

Utama Spice Aromatherapy and Argan Oil

these are products freshly sent to me by Utama Spice. They are Argan Oil, Bergamont and Rosemary aromatherapy essential oils. And yes, they are the newest babies from Utama Spice.

Argan Oil is known as a liquid gold that pampers the skin and hair. It nourishes and moisturizes everything it touches. It promoted healing on the skin as well.

Even thou it is oil, Argan Oil from Utama Spice is not oily at all when used, in fact, it is pretty satisfying and comfortable on the skin. Like they just sunk deep into the skin and making them supple again. I wont say hydrated but more like doesn't look dry anymore. My hands are pretty much dry from the constant doing the chores at home and flakes of dead skin are visible. Using the Argan Oil on the facial skin and hair means using them by dropping a few drops on my palm first before applying and it nourish everything it touches, from the hands to the facial skin and hair. The fact that it is not greasy made so lovable.

Most hair product on the market that says contain Argan Oil usually add some more oils, those combination successfully made the product oily and greasy. Utama Spice's Argan Oil is comfortable to be used and again, not greasy.

When using on the face, it's like using a serum, on a cleaned and toned skin. Right before moisturizer.

Bergamot Essential Oil
Bergamot itself is famous for the aroma, it is citrus and refreshingly good for the mind and body too. Bergamot also drinkable (in the right doses) and can help our digestive system. Bergamot also may act as an antibacterial benefit.

I love Bergamot. Many fragrances and skincare, also toiletries are using Bergamot nowadays, perhaps it is due to the antibacterial benefit, but most of all, it's for the aroma. It is a citrus scent, unlike lemon which can be a bit sour to the smell too, and orange for too sweet at times, Bergamot is a classy and sophisticated citrus. You'll notice the 'expensive' freshness right away.

Beside using it as an aromatherapy at home, I mixed it a bit in my shower gel, it created a different layer of clean feeling on the skin and as a shower experience, yes, the citrus aroma.

1 drop on my body lotion could make a difference too, a fresher lotion for sure.

Rosemary Essential Oil
When I first thought about rosemary, all I can think of is rosemary chicken, yes, rosemary has been used in the culinary world and known as well for it's benefits. There's more, from prevent baldness, as a disinfecting mouthwash, and on skincare, it helps reduce eczema, dermatitis, oily skin, acne and last but not least stress reliever.

This is new for me, before Utama Spice sent me one, I have never use Rosemary other than cooking. Now, I'm beginning to try it as a mouthwash, just a few drops mixed with water.

And I want my hair to grow more or at least prevent hair fall, I use it on my scalp as well. The texture is oily alright, hence I'm using it 1-2 drops only and undiluted, no worries the oily feeling gradually disappear. The sensation on the skin is also unique, like a bit of warmth and the aroma is amazing. It's not as sharp like cajeput, a bit medicinal, and like that famous talc lotion used when allergies occur, I guess they are using Rosemary as one of the key ingredients. It's therapeutic alright.

Since I just starting using it on my scalp, I can't tell whether it's working or not, hopefully they do, I'll keep you updated on my instagram page @carnellin.

WISHtrend First Package For Me

I bet by this point almost all beauty bloggers out there knows about WishTrend and their relationship with beauty bloggers. I'm pleased to be one of those beauty blogger and received a pack of products directly from Korea.

My review:

This clear light oil is easy to penetrate into the hair without causing the hair to be limp or weighted down. The first thing I see is my hair become shinier. Since I have oily scalp and knowing for sure the oil is made for the hair not scalp, I avoided the scalp area at least from the middle part of the hair. It is important to use the oil little by little and not to overdo it. I use it on a towel dry hair, right before blow drying. The oil helps the hair to look healthier and on the parts where it is dry and brittle become less dry and less brittle ^_______^

Overall, it is a very easy-to-be-used product which gives the hair instant result and when used daily will give the hair a long term effect as well. The hair will become stronger, healthier, silkier and glossier day by day.

The tangles will disappears and protect the hair from the heats too. Especially for those who love to style their hair with 'hot' tools daily. It helps the hair to become stronger and less angry due to the constant heat applied. Angry? Yup, my hair can become super frizzy and look like a bunch of angry mobs there, like they have been electrocuted.

The oil will tame those fly-aways so the hair become tidier as well.
