L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Hello lovelies,

remember that some times ago Sociolla and L'Oreal Paris send me these babies?! I've shared with you their amazing lippies, blushes, contour kit and color corrector, now, it's their most famous foundation that have successfully made everyone with oily skin finally found a match.

I don't have oily skin, that's one fact I have to share with you, my t zone have occasional misbehaved that may lead to cracking and some products looked melting, especially on the nose area. I do want my makeup to last thou' and looking fresh has never been better thanks to L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation that was told to last 24 hours.

Making a makeup last 24 full hours may not be the case for me, but usually I need them to stay around 8 to 10 hours max.

First, let's see the product, L'Oreal have two foundation that may appear similar, but one with red details that said pro-matte and the other is in blue which said pro-glow. Clearly, if you want to have a dewy looking skin, choose the pro-glow, and if you want a fresh looking matte skin, choose pro-matte.

They both comes in a 12 shades series, in fact the Total Cover Foundation too, they all comes in 12 shades. So you can simply choose the finish that you like, glows, matte, or total coverage which I think to be the thickest of them all, can be used as a concealer too.

As seen, the texture of Pro Matte and Pro Glow slightly similar but I assure you that when used, they gave me a totally different finish. And Total Cover Foundation is the creamiest of them all, a promise of a maximum coverage (will be shared on different post).

I'm using these two babies on my post today, the highlight is for sure the Pro-Matte, look at the video below, start from a clean skin (after all the skincare) where it is so glowing and full of areas I want to cover to this fine fresh matte finish.

What do you think, the products made my skin looks fresh matte, right?! Like I have no sin oils whatsoever.

The powdery finish also helps makeup to last longer too, and I love the clean feeling, a long lasting clean feeling which I did share in my insta story how it really last the whole day. My skin feels so velvety smooth the whole day like I just put on my makeup.

I choose I 2, it is a very light color that I can use as a bit of a highlighter and/or concealer. And as seen, it was pretty dense, like a thick cream with heavy powder.

But when used on the skin it pretty much comfortable and light. It does turns into this powdery consistency when I used after a primer and Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid.

I don't use it all over the face, more like on acne marks, areas where concealer is needed, under the eyes and so on. Dab it on areas that need more coverage using a sponge.

I pretty much enjoyed using it when after a hydrating base or on a very moist skin when rich moisturizing skincare has been used.

But when I want a fresher finish with lighter coverage or perhaps a more natural finish, I usually skip the base, I use the foundation,  Soft(es) Pact and a loose powder to set the base.

The result is a matter skin, light and suitable for makeup on the go since it is faster. The powdery finish will become a sure winner for those with oily skin since it helps them to get that 'fresh' look.

SILKYGIRL Magic BB Oil-Control Pure Fresh Powder

This is a fresh product just arrived today at my mail and immediately went trough a test. Here are some of the benefits of the product:
1. Contain  SPF 45 / PA +++ is actually pretty good for daily use to help the skin survive under the sun.
2. Available in three shades, 01 Fair, 02 Natural, and 03 Rose Beige.
3. It is said to be No Shine, No Oil, No Fragrance, No Clog Pores and No Animal Testing.

And it contain a bunch of ingredients such as porous powder that absorb excessive oil, saw palmetto and rose fruit extract that visibly reduces pores vicinity, and hyaluronic filling spheres hydrates for a soft skin appearance all day long.

Selling price Rp. 55.000 which perhaps means budget friendly.

The compact itself is not big, but it has a relatively good mirror, sponge and the powder. I've tested the product on a damp slightly oily skin. So it's pretty messy. Usually, most powder will simply noodled and become very cakey. This one doesn't.

Since it is small and the price does made me underestimate the product. I forgot that during my college days, I used to wear cheap fake affordable products and since it's powder, I'm using it everyday and it's like the first thing that I run out. I forgot that 'these' kinds of product that people used to underestimate are the ones that truly works in a sense of makeup as it is.

The product may not infused with skincare as 'heavy' as the overpriced one, or inside a 22 carat gold packaging, plus perhaps not an Asahi Glass mirror, but in it's simplicity, it still deliver as it is.

The just right sun protection to the ability to absorb oil like dessert drinks water is just amazing. Those who have dry skin will definitely suffer and it is a product made for oily skin and all it's benefit from being oily. Did you know that oily skin get lines and wrinkles less than dry skin?! So stop complaining if you have oily skin, you'll love it in the end.

Back to the powder. I've tried it dry and I've tried it wet, using the same sponge the product just work. I love it better when it is wet since it can really act like a Magic BB. Since my skin is not oily, the result may not be as obvious as those who are, but I still can see some differences.

The skin tone is even, the skin appear brighter and I'm wearing number 02 which is natural. I think the product kinda like a Japanese powder which only share a few shades but do cater like all skin type which means the powder is somewhat transparent but have a good coverage. And as my skin is dry with normal to a bit oily on the tzone, I can feel the drought, it really taken all the oils. If you wear it for the whole day do drink plenty of water and during night time, enjoy a pampering watery sleeping mask that promote pure hydration on the skin. As oily means dehydration at times, drinking plenty of fluids and use watery sleeping mask never hurt.

Lancome Velours At Lancome Kelapa Gading

Last week I was invited by Lancome.

This time, it is for a semi private gathering with beauty bloggers. Lancome Indonesia has once again want to relived the dreams of the local beauty bloggers.

The event also took place in their new re-opening counter, a much more open layout and space for customers to try and play with their collection.

From skincare, perfume, and makeup.

The details brings out elegance and at the same time, welcoming as well. It's not like those kind of counter where customer are only as client that stood behind the table, this is more of an experience where we can actually 'play' around with the products.

Take note that most customer nowadays are smarter and much more informative than ever before. They know what they want and most of the time, coming to the counter only to pick shades which is never a thing we can choose from reading only.

Same goes with perfume and the texture of a skincare.

One thing that I really hope, someday, beauty adviser in Indonesia are starting to treat customer beyond selling points and more like clients that they need to treat better. Give them genuine advices on products they should and should not use. Recommending like real friends do.

In this opportunity, I also play around with Velours, ohh finally. I have a chance to try them. In fact, I've been looking for them in Singapore and found none, turns out that they only be available starting next month, and only a few countries in Asia will carry Velours. So, when you travel to countries like Japan or Korea, you wont be able to find them.

The pigmented semi matte liquid lipstick is amazing! The color comes out instantly and by the single swipe. At first they are wet, and on my lips somehow they took a while before the dry matte powder comes around. On other bloggers, the semi matte seems visible in seconds.

The colors are varies from bright pink to deep red, purple to orange, it's surreal, but I don't feel like I'm in Lancome. So fresh, fun and the vibe is just wonderful. We all love playing around with the colors, there's even cotton candy pink.

The team from Lancome ask me which one is my favorite, I scream all of them!! The red hue is gorgeous and so does the Salem, coral, peach, who could ever choose one?!

The formula is exactly like how every beauty enthusiast describe them to be, stays hydrating, smooth, soft and with the final matte finish. It's wonderful to be used for hours and hours.

These are the two products and here's my review.

The texture of the formula is light and like any other products from Skin Aqua, it is watery and comfortable to be used.

On the image above, I'm using the Perfect Matte and after 3-4 hours it is no longer able to 'contain' the shine on my t zone area. I do have a combination skin type, so only the t zone areas are considered greasy.

So I think the Perfect Matte has a mild mattefying ability.

In terms of coverage, both provide a light to medium coverage, I still use my foundation after the BB Cream and of course, before the BB Cream, a good skincare is always needed, from toner, serum, to moisturizer on a clean skin, wait around 15 minutes and then apply the BB Cream of your choice.

Even thou they look like 'tinted' on my it's pretty much sheer, so perhaps, one size fits all formula for any skin tone.

Above is the comparison between these two. Their shades is similar and at first glance look the same too, only on the final image where they are blended we can see that the matte are matter and the moist looks more radiant and has that moist glow on the skin.

They didn't last for 8 hours for sure, especially in Jakarta's climate. A loose powder afterwards is essential even thou a foundation is not used.

The price is budget friendly and suitable for the young, or those looking for a mild coverage with a good protection from the sun on a daily basis. The packaging and design is cute yet simple. The small size is perfect for traveling too.

Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick

this is Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick and mine is in Peony.

Available in 8 shades from pink like this one to coral and nudes. They don't carry red, just these and violets.

The stripey packaging of shiny and dove is luxurious.

Inside is the lipstick in hibiscus pink. Like said in the title, soft matte, so it is still matte but more like semi matte than completely matte.

The texture of the lipstick when used is velvety and comfortable. It doesn't create that drying effect even thou it's semi matte in the finish look. I fell immediately in love with peony since it has that bright pink shade without the gloss of many lipstick in the same shade. 

The other highlight is the quality that Clinique brings assure me that it is a safe product to be used daily. Their product is always under thorough research.

And of course, the result, the pigmented color that pops out. Perfect for spring and summer where colors are just everywhere. The lips become so fresh in the vibrant pink shade. The semi matte finish provide that lovely touch without being too much. It's a pink that everyone can use without looking too girly. It's a feminine pink for sure.

The lipstick able to covers all imperfection nicely and without fail making them look velvety smooth. The color also last quite long, it is still transferring but doesn't fade on its own.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick

these liquid lipsticks are still getting so much attention nowadays, well, why wouldn't?! They are adorable, last forever and gives instant gratification of the most vivid colors ever. One of the favorite brand on the market is Anastasia Beverly Hills, for me it's simply because of the shade collections they have.

First, let see the packaging, the exterior. A black box with white wording and golden brand of Anastasia Beverly Hills.

I got myself Retro Coral and Sweet Talker.

Retro Coral is a candy coral shade and the Sweet Talker is a watermelon pink shade. Both of them are from @Lumiere_corner (instagram).

Let's see the Retro Coral first.

I have a trouble in picking between Retro Coral and Sweet Talker, so I get both ^__^

Below is the swatch on my hand. The texture is creamy and velvety at the same time. It felt luxurious and rich too.

I didn't notice any distinctive scent of the product and the feeling on the lips when used is comfortable.

Look how it complement my skin tone.

Even though it's matte the liquid lipstick doesn't dries up like other liquid matte lipstick I've tried and it still transfer a bit. There's still a lot on the lips but it is definitely not kiss-proof.

How about the Sweet Talker?

This is actually my first choice, the color is super duper pretty and looks so sweet. It is after all sweet talker.

The color pays off beautifully, the Sweet Talker is a bit richer than Retro Coral, with Retro Coral I need a few swipe to get the consistency of color that I want, with Sweet Talker is less.

The product doesn't transfer as much as Retro Coral and dries up better as well.

Both of the shade is comfortable to be used and doesn't make my lips dry. I do have to clean them several time to get them completely off. Using cleansing oil, foaming facial wash and cleansing water. They all work but cleansing oil and cleansing water is the best. Start with a cleansing oil and after finish massaging and rinsing, dry those lips.

Use a cleansing water or micellar water to removed them completely (if there's still a leftover).

Both of them comes with a sleek wand and tip that is comfortable to be used.

The opening of the slim bottle is wide enough for a thick liquid to come out but fret not you can always put the excess on the rim of the opening.

Somehow it add some blush on me.

Sweet Talker does look super pretty isn't it?! I love how it enveloped the lips in that thin veil and hide everything under it. Same goes with Retro Coral too.

Below are the product shade for comparison and how they can be used together.

The rich formula allows us to have time to mixed and blend them together, they'll set dry longer than other matte liquid lipstick I've tried.

Overall,

A wonderful product that offer irresistible shades, perfect for daily use, I meant they don't sell those in blue nor green, so Anastasia Bevery Hills Liquid Lipstick varied from milky pinkish hue, red, orange, pink, nude pink and so on.

The texture of the liquid lipstick is creamy rich and velvety with a matte finish. Offer full coverage, lightweight feeling and non sticky to the touch. Still transfer even when I'm not yet eating. The liquid carries tons of pigment on each application. So even thou' it transfer little by little, there's still a lot on the lips. Feels like it stays forever. It probably does, if I don't eat nor drink.

Cleaning it need effort and made sure not making it worst by smudging them all over during massaging.

Do I interested in getting some more? Yes, I'm eyeing on Persimmon and Baby Pink.
