The yellow colored creamy lotion is easily used on the skin without the feeling of greasy nor oily. Usually, I avoided products with AHA as sometime it does irritated my skin, apparently Mario Badescu put just enough amount of AHA that wont irritate my sensitive skin. I uses the moisturizer once a day (night time only) since I prefer a more hydrating moisturizer on day time, yes, this product may be used with other range, brand and so far I've been using it with various items as well. Suitable for any skin type but those with dull skin or heavily pigmented skin will feel the benefits the most as the cream will reveal and revive the layers of skin underneath and help by gently exfoliate the skin.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Chemical Peels
Alpha hydroxy acids in various concentrations are used in chemical peels. The concentration determines who can use it. Alpha hydroxy acid products sold to consumers must have a concentration of less than 10%. Trained cosmetologists can use alpha hydroxy acid products that have a concentration of 20% to 30%. These chemical peels give results that are similar to microdermabrasion - erasing fine lines and giving the skin a smoother appearance with 1 to 3 applications. However, these treatments must be repeated every 3 to 6 months to maintain this skin appearance. Doctors can use alpha hydroxy acid products that have a concentration of 50% to 70%. These treatments also erase fine wrinkles and remove surface scars, but the effects last longer - up to 2 to 5 years. The higher the alpha hydroxy acid concentration used in a chemical peel, the more skin irritation occurs. At the 50% to 70% concentration, a person could expect to have severe redness, flaking, and oozing skin that can last for 1 to 4 weeks.

Ceramides are one of three types of lipids, or fats, that help keep moisture in the skin. Ceramide-containing moisturizers are a new breed of moisturizers that contain the same balance of lipids as your skin. Studies show that they help treat eczema, but they can be used by anyone with dry skin. Because I only want to recommend products that have been proven to be effective, I have included in my review whether good published data is available for each product.

And as in the moisturizer also contains ceramide that beneficial for those suffering from dry skin, ehm, like me. Maybe that's why a combination of these two ingredients in a bottle create a harmony for my skin.
Will I continues to use the product? Not everyday, perhaps I will rotate this moisturizer with others and use it once a week or fortnightly.

As the product do help the skin exfoliate, I suggest to never forget using a sun protection everyday to help protecting the 'new skin' from the sun. Be careful not to over exfoliate the skin and check the ingredients on your other skincare, and let your skin rest once in a while and observe your skin's needs, timetable and regenerating process.

End of Year Party Look for IBB MUC Dec 2012

These are some of the stuffs I used for transforming my sister heehee, yes, my sister will be my model once again.

Thank you my dear sister ^^

First, on a cleaned moisturized skin, I applied a concealer (Shiseido) on the area affected with acne marks, redness and uneven skin tone, including the bags under the eyes. Followed by foundation from Shiseido to even out all the skin tones and set the base with loose powder from Coverderm.

The concealer is a bit darker than her original skin tone so I applied as if it was shading as well to enhance her cheek bones.

As for Coverderm Finishing Powder, the fine particles easily blend and create a natural matte finish look. May be applied right after foundation or at the end of the overall makeup to 'set' everything's up.

As usual after the base, I always more to the eye's zone, start with the brows. As she like her natural brow, trimming with a tool from Panasonic is my answer. Then draw a bit lines using Revlon and brushes the brow with mascara from Lancome.

But I recommend a tidier brow for a more 'Party Look'. For me the brow could make a big difference in one's look.

Next, is the liner. I'm trying this stickers for eyeliner, just open the packaging and stick them on the lids. Of course it's a bit tricky especially when ones doesn't have an even eyelids, like my sister, her right eyes appears bigger than the left thanks to the uneven lids.

A scotch tape may be applied before the eyeliners stickers so the eyes become even, then after sticking the stickers, use a liquid eyeliner with the same color as the stickers.

I've used Shiseido, a creamy eyeliner to help even out the sticker, there's a tiny bling on the edges of the stickers. Next time, I'll choose a bigger one.

This time, I want the eyes to be sharp and let the eyeliners get a spotlight, so no eye shadows are used.

Followed by Benefit's Duster as a highlighter only on the nose line.

A bronzer by The Body Shop and blush on by Anna Sui for her cheeks area, one for the cheek bone, and one to add a touch of rose so she wont look pale and dull.

Last? A lips sticker!

I'm so excited about this next item as it can create a difficult look which will be super duper tough using a normal lipstick and brush.

K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner (Regular Black) VS K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner 24h (Waterproof SuperBlack)

I've been using K-Palette's for years now and really like the product, when I thought that the Regular Black is wonderful, the Waterproof SuperBlack is even better.

Here's my review on the Regular Black: Click me! And below is the comparison.

Waterproof SuperBlack is the lines than below, the ones that darker. On the image of two lines the lower line is SuperBlack. On the images of 6 lines, 3 lines below is SuperBlack.

Now here's the results of my tests:
 Against skin rubbing: the line that smudging is the SuperBlack.
Poured by water: SuperBlack remains undisturbed while Regular Black dissolved a bit
Put cream/lotion: Regular Black stains on the skin, while SuperBlack easily removed by lotion without a trace.
Both gives a subtle constant lines when stroke. A light pressure means fines lines and stronger pressure means thicker lines created.

When ones uses an eye cream/gel, make sure there's no leftover, the cream/gel is fully absorbed. Greasy eye lids like me? Probably have to skip the eye gel/cream on the lids where the eyeliner is going to be used, or ... use eye primer ^__^

Sana Namerakahonpo UV Makueup Base

Another product I've got from swapping with Stephanie ^__^

Immediately I've tried them on, here is my first thoughts

at first whitish and a bit glowy and shiny then. The stickiness will fade gradually but not completely. No fragrance is added.

And after using it again and again and keep observing, comparing with the details given:

The Sana Nameraka Honpo Soy Milk UV Foundation Base (40g) is a makeup base, I surely thought it was just a simple sun screen since the white lotion just glide on the skin an create this shining film like most sun protection do. It does helps protect from harmful UV rays and also moisturizers skin with the ingredients in it: Isoflavone from soybeans, but hmm as a makeup base I think it's not what I expected to be. I like a makeup base that gives the skin a gentle natural glow, refrain from sebums so the makeup on top may glide easily and doesn't look greasy like sunblock. This one looks greasy like sunblock . The SPF19 PA++ is actually light enough and suitable for daily use (again as a sun screen) but the function as a makeup base for me? Is not quite right. 

Biotherm BB White D-TOX

Many BB Cream hits the market this year, including BB White D-TOX from Biotherm. It's been a while I know, but I only managed to review it now. I've used them before sometime ago and few times I get a complain since my skin is so fair, the review won't be easily applicable to most skin tones. So this time, I ask my sister for the photos instead of me. She is slightly darker than me.

There's her photos, heehee, as seen the cream does look fairer on her. By using the product gradually also helps to build up the skin tone a level by a level, so don't use too much. Those with medium to dark will see a significant fairer skin in an instant, careful thou' it might look unnatural, so spread the bb cream as well to the neck and areas exposed. 

The coverage is light to medium, so don't expect it to made all those scars, acne, dark spots, and other imperfections to be completely gone. A foundation or concealers are still needed, followed by a loose powder.

The cream is light and wonderful to be used, as always Biotherm brings high quality products to the market, however, I wish it comes in a more natural tone or at least a variety of tones so all of us with different skin tones may uses it as it was so wonderful. Perfect for those whose looking for protection, skincare and light coverage, all at once.

The bb cream is definitely oil-free, it felt like liquid powder, giving the skin a matte fair effect. For my skin that often invaded by redness this bb cream is perfect, so the tone will matches my neck. The light coverage also enough for me for my daily look. Add some loose powder and the base is done. It last for 4-6 hours depends on the severity of my activity that day, but overall it's a very good bb cream that gives me sun protection  ☼  , oil free base and light to medium coverage.

The 100 ml bottle looks pretty, simple and attractive. The color of the lotion is a bit light green with green dots on it, which is said to be Vit E beads. The beads on the skin feels a bit rough but able to be pressed and the beads with mushed into a green particles that easily blend to the lotion.

The first thing I've noticed is the scent, it is too much, and I dislike it. It was like using a perfume but unfortunately the perfume smell like mosquito repellents/pesticides. There are a bit sensitivity to the skin right after usage, I don't know why but I guess I wont be using it anymore, or maybe not on the hands, perhaps on the legs only.

The lotion is not sticky but not easily fully absorbed as well, so it's somewhat in the middle. A bit rich but not buttery rich, it's like a rich lotion. It does moisturized the skin but again the fragrance is overwhelming. If only it comes in a more softer scent which gives the lotion a chance to be proud of the vit e as the main focus above all ingredients.

Kose Softymo Enamel Remover Sheet

Hi all!

From my last trip to Tokyo, I bought this nail remover as I was waiting alone in the Airport and thinking of doing a solo manicure. Liquid is limited in the aircraft, so this thing comes to me as a very handy nail polish remover.





The acetone free nail color remover comes in 10 individual sheets. All the details is in Japanese, since it's an easy instruction, it's can be done easily. But I've found some details from my favorite Japan Online Shop http://www.jshoppers.com:

Nail polish remover sheets in a handy small size. With just one you can remove layered enamel and even stubborn sparkling polishes. A large size you can use on both hands! Contains German chamomile and other ingredients that keep your nails strong. Its faint scent comes from the natural aroma of the orange oil. ●Contains propylene carbonate,​ ethanol,​ orange oil,​ chamomile extract,​ BG,​ others
●Instructions: Wipe nail with a gentle pushing motion.
●Use 1 pack each time.

A lavender colored packaging, cute isn't it?!

This is it, the white sheet that cleans my nail colors. It was so moist, well, wet to be precise and oily.

For me one sheet is enough for 10 fingers, no more. I have to use 2 sheets for the hand and feet. After 10 nails usually the sheets already so full of nail colors, leaving a greasy after effect. The scent compared to the ones with acetone is definitely milder. Regular nail color remover (with acetone) also drying and evaporate pretty fast, this one is the contrary. Sometime I need another sheet of clean cotton since there's still some liquid left on the nails.

The nail polish is easily clean with the liquid alone but I think I like it more if the sheet is thicker, the wide and length is enough, just wishing it was thicker since it feels so thin on the nails and if it is thicker it would be able to 'get' more nail colors all at once.

Overall, I like the simplicity to be able to clean my nail polish anywhere anytime without the need of separate cotton and a bottle of acetone, the scent is way milder than acetone and doesn't make the nail nor fingers dry. But I dislike the 'oiliness' (which actually later can be cleaned with soap and water) and the sheet is too thin.

Score? 7,5 out of 10, so it's still a wonderful product for me ^__^

Shu Uemura Red:Juvenus Vitalizing Refining Lotion

Hello lovelies,

this is one of my favorite lotion from Shu Uemura collection of skincare. From the wonderful refreshing flowery and fresh berries scent to the sensation created on the skin.

Details from Shu Uemura:

A light, refreshing gel-like lotion to replenish skin intensively for radiant skin that feels energized and revitalized. Immediately skin looks radiant and feels more elastic. Within one week skin looks younger & rejuvenated.

I'm not commenting anything about within one week skin looks younger, but it does give me an instant rejuvenating effect that's so wonderful and oh those feelings I get every time using the lotion is just addictive. Perhaps that's because of the amalaki, pomegranate, and lycopene capsule 2x in the ingredients list.

Like the skin is drinking a powerful, fresh, and juicy berries and feels alive again. Chipper and exuberant too. The clear toner is simply succulent and tempting. Now, who said toner or lotion supposed to be boring and dull?

Put  in a spray bottle and into the fridge for anytime the skin need to be boosted up, just spritz' em and be thankful for whatever inside it ^__^

Dove Essential Nourishment Body Lotion

I love all Dove Body Lotions including this one. Since Jakarta is so hot and humid I uses this one at night or during a flight or traveling only. Or perhaps when the skin feels really dry. The lotions feels rich, smells comforting (like a bit flowery, a bit milky and creamy) and so luxurious with DeepCare Complex where penetrates deeper into the skin and provide longer moisture or hydration to the skin.




Unlike the Fresh one, Essential Nourishment definitely feels richer on the skin with silky effect too. As see when the product applied and gradually melt on the skin, massaged and absorbed, it will leave a glistening effect on the skin for being so creamy. Those suffering with dry skin will enjoy this lotion the most since even thou it gives high level of moisture the lotion still feels comfortable without being too much.

Suitable to be used in long term (like above 18 hours) and in dry air conditioner room. Normal - oily skin may uses it night time only or when needed, while dry skin may uses it day and night.
