Lancome Hypnose Star 24H Waterproof.

this is an item from the recent event with Lancome Indonesia (click HERE) and right now this particular item has gotten a buzz in the sns, especially facebook for their contest of finding this mascara and win one. Have you participated?

The starry packaging which reminds me of the beautiful milky way in the dark skies, it does resemble the precedent product from the Hypnose series but with a less bushy and slightly smaller brush.

Here's a close up look and since my Hypnose Doll is in water resistant mode, I'm happy to know that the Hypnose Star is in waterproof level, woo hoo! No more smudges, flakes or panda eyes. Hello stay on gorgeousness all day long. Here's a few of my before after look.

The mascara add length, volume and help separate the lashes into thicker looking lashes which help defining the eyes to look more stunning. I'm sorry if the liners and eyeshadows are covering the original look, let's see below for a more reflective image.

The feeling on using the mascara is comfortable, not sticky yet not too overly dry like other waterproof mascara I know. It resist water but keep the shine on the lashes and lustrous too. Cleaning  the mascara with the cleansing oil is easy and hardly left anything behind. Suitable for a long term usage like all day long.

The mascara also build-able for thicker and far more bushy lashes. Apply around 3-4 times and wait until dry, repeat the process of applying 3-4 coatings, wait until dry again. The lashes will appears thicker and fuller. I think a booster may be used before this mascara to add more volume to each lashes.

Lunasol Modeling Glossy Eyes in Mauve Pink

What a lovely morning we have today that suddenly changed into a cloudy one. In this sort of long weekend I'm trying new items as well as using a new tools for my beauty blog heehee. The Samsung S3. It does help me taking a clearer photos with better contrast and colors.

The Lunasol Modeling Glossy Eyes does deserves a camera that helps to capture their wonderful and beautifully glossy colors. Since years ago Japanese products keep adding sparkles into the eye shadows. I love them, they do make the eyes looks more attractive.

A bronze packaging, big mirror, looks great and pretty too. This is my first time trying Lunasol product and I've heard many good reviews about the brand. For me somehow it does reminds me of Kate.

This is the product, a 4 blocks of 6 different shades where one is a creamy pearly white while the rest is powder. All of them got sparkles, some iridescent, some golden dots and it was lovely. Just by looking at them somehow makes me happy, they are gorgeous and I even want my blog to have these shades :D

And unlike most cosmetics where the tools kinda .... sucks unusable. This one is totally usable and user friendly, I don't have to use another brush for application. Here's one of the look created look, the cream as the base and the rest as the decoration. Instead of a normal smokey, I'm want some winged action.

The product is easily blend on the lids and the base itself helps the powder to stay intact all day long. It gives the lids a glowing effect without being too much. I think I can make several other look with this palette. From the most natural and subtle to a more smokey look.

TSUYA Skin UV Under Base by Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura has launched their TSUYA collection sometime ago, I'm in love with their pre-serum hence with since then, I've been waiting for my chance to try on the UV Under Base from the TSUYA as well.

Finally, I have my hands one one, yippie!! Thank you Shu Uemura Indonesia.

This is my before look, after cleaned, toned, serum-ed, and moisturized. I used no makeup at all at this stage and UV Under Base is next as my base and sun protection in one.

I always love the mousse texture since it is so light and friendly to the skin, with the wide variety of the mousse I can go from beige to pinkish, matte to glowing looking skin, TSUYA is in Peach color and add rosy glow to my skin.

Look how fluff the mousse is. Just press the lid around 0,1 second and you'll get around a marble size substance at first where it will somehow grow into an aired mousse around a (regular) fish ball size. Apply them first on the face and add some more if needed.

I put the product in 5 different places and noticed the zzzzzz sounds as tiny bubbles pops or like when I put an effervescent in a glass of water.

There are methods recommended by Shu Uemura on their website on application:

start on the top of the cheek bones, where the skin is the thickest, and move outwards.

apply a sheer amount from the outside toward the lips.

it is also important to protect the neck from UV rays.

This is how it's looks like on my face before I blend them well on the skin and setting in. If I use too much (for pressing the cap more than 0.1 second) I dab a tissue along the hairlines since usually there where they are the most.

The texture is slightly heavier than the other mousse I have (also from shu uemura) and feels richer on the skin too.

Here's after the mousse blended well on the skin. It added a glow on my skin and looks healthy. I choose not to top it off with foundation but only with a light loose powder so the glow wont be covered and fade away.

After the loose powder I added some colors and voila, the looks stay with me almost the whole day, Radiant, natural and looks lovely.

Overall,

A perfect base for those who are looking for a touch of rosy glow, natural, healthy and radiant look. Give the skin an adequate sun protection suitable for daily use, super easy and simple in terms of application and travel friendly as well for the skin to feel and look good with minimum touch up. Light on the skin, as if I'm using none, sheer coverage and help enhance the skin natural condition.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Duo in Amethyst

Here's an item I got from the recent event with Estee Lauder. The Pure Eyeshadow Duo in Amethyst. There are 8 shades in total and to be honest, I want them all. The Raisins, Shells, Clouds, Khakis, they all look so pretty, but my choice is on the Amethyst, somehow it speaks to me the loudest heehee.

As always Estee Lauder has this sophisticated and luxurious looking packaging which made them a wonderful item for a gift. My mom have hampers and hampers of Estee Lauder which she treasured.

Here's the product and oh yikes, I hate an unfocused image, so sorry, they (the cameras) were like super annoying these days, maybe they are broken (both of my cameras). Oh well, here's my best shot. I'm so sorry if the images aren't describing how pretty the product actually is.

As usual the tool/applicator is given but I still prefer my own brush. The mirror is adequate and the design of the package is spotless. The product in it? Let's see the swatch on my hand.

Unlike the previous collection, Estee Lauder now has come with bolder and better in terms of pigmented. Still thou' in their realm of natural look, so we wont see any contemporary colors.

Without delaying, let's see how it goes on me.

I'm trying the products as a faint smokey with a bit of winged shadow.

Blend it on altogether with a brush, I didn't use any primer before. The eyeshadow is so soft in terms of texture and all powder. I know that creamy eyeshadow is IN right now but this soft powder texture also not bad and still lovable for daily use. It does stays with me all day long and I have a tips for those who are looking for a creamier effect, add a petroleum jelly, mixed the eyeshadow with it and blend it well before apply it on the lids. I love the glistening effect, perfect for summer look!

Laneige Volume Setting Mascara

Holaaaa,

how are you everyone? I hope you're all well since recently the weather seems to have a mind on their own, in a day, it can be super hot, then from nowhere there comes the rain. Not just a friendly drizzle, but a windy cats and dogs.

Wow! It seems like the product gives the lashes a wonderful effect, perfect coating, without being difficult to be removed. Let's do reality check, shall we?!

I applied the mascara as recommended by the mua from Laneige, gently, slowly, without any zigzag movement, just apply as if I'm brushing the lashes in slow motion. The texture of the liquid is perfect for a coating, the black film does add volume to the lashes and define. For the curls, I think it added a bit but I still prefer using an eyelash curler before for a maximum impact. The mascara doesn't give me as much volume as I want, more like lengthening than volume.

It does separate the lashes nicely and the coating is adequate, especially after 3-4 times application. However I do recommend anyone to use it in a cool dry aired room as it helps the coating to sets better on the lashes. If not, every time it blinked dots of black mascara will be under the eyes. When they do, wait until they are dry before using a dry cotton bud to remove the harden mascara without any smudging.

Here's the final result,

the mascara does repeatable for 3-4 times coating, but I've tried more like 7-8 which ends up their being too heavy and breaking ups. I do love thick coating, there are only a few mascara able to do that and this one is not one of them.

The mascara stays on me for almost the whole day when the air is dry, but when it is very humid and I'm sweating there are some flakes coming off.

Cleaning wise? Easy, like mention in their details above a makeup remover is not needed and won't do, a warm water will, and if it is a bit tough sometime maybe there's eyeshadow/powders involved, use a good cleansing facial foam will do. There will be flakes looking like the lashes, but it's not, there are just the mascara coming off.

Make Over Ultra Cover Liquid Matt Foundation in Ochre 01

I'm back with one more item from Make Over. This time it's the foundation.

Lolabox send me Ultra Cover Liquid Matt Foundation in Ochre 01, suits my skin tone perfectly, but how about the texture, feeling on the skin, staying power, and bottom of it all, do I love it?

Let's start dissecting the product shall we?! Start from the packaging, the black plain box is okay, but I think the paper could be thicker for a sturdier look. The bottle is wonderful, I really like the design and would never complain on a pump bottle as it keep what's inside hygienic. Nobody wants additional germs on their face, right?!

Then the liquid, the main star of this item.

The smooth glowing liquid feels soft on the skin and easily distributed on a moist skin after skincare usage. I noticed that the product dries pretty fast, so I hurried down and blend it all on my skin.

I've tried mixing the product with a serum I have and the result is not good, the product is better to be used with a damp sponge.

The foundation after setting, add powders and colors. The foundation made the skin looks matte, covers in medium level, made the loose powder sets easier since the surface are soft and dry, and on me the foundation last around 4 hours before start melting or needs touching up.

Conclusion, a liquid foundation that is suitable for my skin tone, blend easily with a damp sponge, gives the skin a matte finish but not as a natural looking skin. The product doesn't adapt to the natural skin tone but visible as a layer of makeup. Covers large pores, very fine lines, and some discoloration too. I think this is a budget friendly makeup which gives the skin a plain makeup with minimum addition to the skin as a skincare. For around Rp.119.000 the foundie will function as it is, a simple foundation, with no 'special effect'.

MAKE OVER Ultra Shine Lipstick No.10 Down To Brown.

lately I've been hearing about Make Over and it seems like they have created quite a buzz out there. The tag is #Cheap #Indonesian #MadeInIndonesia #ItWorks. Those who've tried them must have understand what I meant. They are affordable, suitable for end users and makeup artist and work well as a makeup.

Make Over has opened a lot of counters throughout Jakarta (in the malls) and seems like keep getting good raves from customers, and finally, this month, thanks to Lolabox, I manage to try one of their item. The lipstick. The Ultra Shine Lipstick No 10 which is Down to Brown. Personally I have no expectation to this product as I think it is a simple makeup item which does what it does best, decorating the face.

The texture of the lipstick is okay, quite firm, not hard, but in the middle of firm and not easily break like those high moisturizing lipstick which easily melts and mussy. But at the same time this lippy doesn't give the lips hydrating effect but not overly drying as well. If I have to put them into a score it will be:

Do I like the color? Not really, I think it is suitable for those working in the office where seriousness is the key in their daily life, like showing they meant it ^^ or when ones want to look natural in an earthy kinda way.

Overall, it is a good lipstick that does what it does, without any additional effect (like skincare infused makeup), or at least in the minimum level of skincare, worth the value in terms of the lipstick itself is NOT expensive, and I can see why so many people are raving it. It's a simple product that works just as it is!

I get mine a few months ago and let's face it, this is a high quality product that has won awards for all the right reasons.

The packaging, sleek design that many has tried to copy (yet failed), the cute emblems that sometime attached to it (mon shu girl) or sometime a bit twist (the golden version). And mine, the original, the one that started it all.

Easy to be used, made with precision and some even swore it last for years and years to come. I've tried some other brand and well truth need to be said, this is the only brand for eyelash curler. Those fakes or perhaps the not-so-sophisticated has hurt my lids, broke my lashes, tweak my lashes in an unnatural way, bend the lashes forcefully and other unfortunate events. So, for me a great eyelash curler is a very important matter. Tips from the makeup artist, curl the lashes in three point, near the roots (never exactly at the roots as they might easily plucked the lashes, middle part and at the ends. Around 10 seconds in each point and on upward direction and there it is a curled up lashes ready for mascara. Add some liners too and bigger and far more attractive eyes instantly.

Sometime I use false lashes too and the curler helps the lashes to stay close to the falsies.
