Guerlain Parure Gold Radiance Powder Foundation

As always, when I have the best things I tend to wait for awhile before reviewing it. I will breathe next to them, look at them like teenage girl looking at their crush, slowly but sure. Keep playing with them, making sure they are safe and sound, opening and closing the compartment, but without touching the powders. And when I finally do, it's magical.

These are my babies from Guerlain cosmetics. The one I'm reviewing in this post is the powder foundation, sprinkled with gold.

Guerlain Parure Gold compact foundation, with its precious dual-faceted pigments combined with a collagen-boosting* active ingredient, bathes your face in a rejuvenating light. Somewhere in between a foundation and a pressed powder, this unusual and sensory compact texture is designed to give both comfort and lasting hold. Its softness and incomparable glide-on quality embrace the skin with a light touch and without emphasizing lines. Naturally smooth and even, the complexion is illuminated and glowing.

Parure Gold has a distinctive and delicate floral scent. The first peach note blended with an accord of vegetal notes is fresh and sparkling. The rose, raspberry and jasmine heart is enriched with a powdery base of balsamic, benzoin and white musk.

To use as a foundation, apply with a sponge, blending in the same way from the wings of the nose to the outside of the face. To use as a pressed powder, apply with a brush all over the face for an even more velvety result.

Elegant and easy to carry around in its luxurious black case, it can also be used to touch up your make-up at any time.

Available in shades from transparent, fair, pale, beige to intense.

The container is luxurious, beautiful and made with care. The material is thick, curved and molded just right, it feels heavy, like nicely weighted.

Opening and closing is smooth, and when opened all the way back, it reveal the secret compartment below, the black sponge. An applicator that certainly made to be used with the product and suitable in every angle. It grasp the powder well and deliver the finest as a foundation, covering everything need to be covered from medium to maximum (by adding concealer prior usage).

I can also use a liquid foundation before and add the powder by using the brush. It helps the particle to disintegrate, transferring the particles to the skin surface, making them looks soft, delicate and feels ultra light too. It covers without the weight. The golden dust gives the skin that radiance glow, like a sunset in Bali.

Another thing that becomes the highlight, is the big square mirror, it is satisfying in so many ways.
