Baby Bo by belif

Ooohhh these are super duper cute.

I went to belif's counter today and found these cuties ^__^

The belif's Baby Bo collection has arrived. Still in their passion on creating products fuss free and purely effective plus safe too, the team from belif assured me Baby Bo can be used for newborns as well.

A total of 4 products are now in the market and ready to be purchased by mommies for their beloved babies. Hair and body gentle wash, face and body emulsion, massage oil, to soothing cream. I've managed to try two out of 4 items there. 

Soothing Cream

This cream is softly absorbed into baby skin and retains moisture for a long time. It is effective for calming itching dryness by providing moisture protection. An excellent moisturizing element Oriza peptide provides dry and sensitive skin with this rich-moisturizing protection.

No mineral oil, no synthetic fragrances, no synthetic colors, no synthetic preservatives, no animal-origin ingredients , no alcohol and no TEA(no seven additives)

Apply a proper amount on the dry spot and softly massage into the skin whenever you feel dry after taking shower or washing your face.

When my daughter is still a baby, finding a great product for babies is not easy in Jakarta, most of them are simply basic and didn't provide much choice for me. belif provide safe products with natural ingredients that fills in a lot of needs from babies. This Soothing Cream is one of them. Able to give a rash a calming effect and feels good on my skin too. Truth be said I haven't try any of Baby Bo products on a baby before, but I'm hoping soon I can try on mine ^__^

Cross-Terrain "Dry Run" Foot Cream

Hi everyone!

It's rainy season here in Jakarta and I love the cool breeze in the morning, it keep the sweats away as most days here is humid and so hot.

Humidity + heat equals sweats, sweats and sweats everywhere!

Deo for armpits? Check!
Body powder? Check!
Feet? Powders and deo wont do, I know I've tried many things before, until . . . 

Kiehl's Cross-Terrain "Dry Run" Foot Cream.

My say:

First of all, in MEN section?! I'm protesting! It should be in universal area. My husband feet are perfectly rarely sweats like I do, I am a major in sweaty feet (God knows why), I mean it! It's like, my feet even sweats when wearing flip flops. And sweats equal to . . .  smell, euuhhhhhhhh  ⊙０⊙ .. ⊙︿⊙ .. ⊙ω⊙ .. ⊙﹏⊙ .. ⊙△⊙

Deo will make the feet so slippery and rarely really work, powders like talc will give white residue everywhere and made my feet seems infected by fungus or something and will lose the battle against the sweat as well.

So when Kiehl's handed me this item (without knowing my problem whatsoever . . . or did they?) I kept being skeptical and put it on the shelve for weeks months. I don't want to try it at first. Why? One, it is on the MEN section, two it is not in the universal section, three IT IS in the MEN section even on their website, and last but not least, they say it is for men, haha! Yes, I'll make a big deal out of it.

Until, around 2-3 weeks ago, I'm trying it on my feet for the first time after so much hesitation and struggles (hyperbolic? Yes!). And the results are:

 I love it. It was amazing! Those who suffers sweaty feet like I do will definitely understand the feelings I get from having a smooth, soft, dry, comfortable feet, far from smelly and sweaty. The product is meant for those (men) who have a very active lifestyle, like sports (etc) or for those (men) with the feet that's active on their own while the owner just sitting down in a couch watching TV. 

Now, I'm one of those who have active feet (on their own) when maybe most people wont have it. The white slightly yellowish lotion is light and smells good too,  kinda like a mixed between herbs and cooling agents. It gives the skin an instant cooling for a while and dry effect for a day. It's like the lotion is tightening the pores so the sweats doesn't come out as furious as before. Leaving the skin feels so good and velvety.

When I move my toes after the lotion is put on, like they have these 'grip' now. Before, it was slippery, sticky and unpleasant. The effect also last for hours and hours but at the end of the day when I'm taking a shower and the surface of the skin touches the water, it will become slippery, so careful when rinsing the feet, make sure the floor is not wet and clean them well with soap.

Overall, a very good, even great, product, for active feet which gives them a soft, smooth, velvety, dry, and very comfortable result instantly for those in sport shoes or stilettos!

SilkyGirl Fragrance (Sugar, and Ice for Men)

Hello everyone!!

I'm back with SilkyGirl and they also carries some fragrances. I have two, one for men and one for me.

Both fragrance are light and last for around 2 hours max.

A 'man' scent :D fresh, a bit citrus, woody and musk. I like the Ice better than Sugar. It add more freshness to the body. Reminds me a bit of Eternity (for men) and the consistency of the scent is quite okay. But both offer a 'common' scents.

The packaging are cute (both Ice and Sugar), simple but a bit unfocused heehee. I think an Ice should be in blue or white and Sugar should shape more like ... sugar or candy. 

Smells really sweet, like a candy, pink candy ^__^ but after around 10-15 minutes it will lose it's characteristic and smells like any other cologne or 'cheap' body splash out there. So I'm really not a fan of this one.

Overall,

both products are fun, easy on the nose and brings out that familiar scent. Last for 1-2 hours and not heavy (at all). Suitable for those looking for a light fragrance which they can carry in their bag. Friendly on the wallet and suitable for the young.

Lips Sticker

Hello everyone!!!

I'm trying the lips stickers now and get myself a bundle of these cute stickers ^__^

I used one for my sister for New Year's Party Look (HERE) and now, you may see many other designs.

There are irresistible!!! It is near impossible to create these look on lips with a mere brush and lip color, possible thou' but will took a whole lotta effort than just wet them and place these on the lips. And yes, eye's stickers are also available these days.

I'm so interested in them since I saw Kim K using it. For me they look so cool and the secret is just a water away.





This is the product I'm using, and behind the lips there's these lines to cut accordingly, do not cut them too small, so always begin with a bigger shape and try to map the lips accordingly.

Then peel the plastic cover and wet them over. It's like those sticker tattoo used during childhood (the one that comes in a bonus from gums).

And press the sticker gently on the lips and wait for a while, slide the paper slowly (like snail slow) and if there's a fold, fixed is asap when it still wet, again, gently. And after completely removing the paper, check whether there's changes need to be made. Always do it when the surface have no wrinkle (say aaaaaaahhh).




And ta da! It's done. Use a lip gloss to 'seal in' the lips or for a glossier look.

The stickers looks better after lip gloss but careful not to be too wet. Drink with straws and gently when eating. The stickers will easily cleaned with water alone and rubbing movements. Let's just say easy come, easy go.

Look of The Day with Maybelline Indonesia (incl Long Extreme Double Stretch) and SilkyGirl

Hi girls!

I'm making a LOTD with SilkyGirl and Maybelline. It's going to be simple and suitable for daily use, with a hint of green, it add some freshness to my newly colored hair.

I love how nowadays colors seems inhibited anymore, without being too bold Maybelline able to add green without being so heavy.

The eyeshadows is from Maybelline Hyper Diamonds GN-1 and SilkyGirl in EverGreen for the eyeliner.

Both products works well in creating a smooth gradation of green for the lids.

Now, mascara is definitely needed, I'm using Long Extreme Double Stretch that comes as a two in one mascara.

1 is in white, as a base coat for longer and more obvious lashes in an instant.

Where after a while the whites will dries out and become clearer. I coated it with no.2 which is the black mascara.

So easy to be used and the process may be repeated for a longer and heavier lashes.
The mascara is waterproof and smudge-proof too. Suitable for going on a date and watch a sad movie.

I wish the brush have smaller ends so it can help picking up shorter lashes.

This is the result when the eyes are closed. Instantly longer and more dramatic than before. I only coat them once with each step. Remember the steps can be repeated several time to create longer and fuller lashes but 3 times is max or the 'extension' will break.

Using a lash curler will help the lashes to curl up and open the eyes bigger.

Then, the final touch is a SilkyGirl Magic Pink Lip Balm which I think perfect to create a sultry light pinkish lips.

For me the look is perfect for a lunch date with hubby ^__^ fresh, simple and he doesn't have to wait too long for me getting ready haha!

Hair Texturizing and Semi Di Lino Diamante Color Protection (Shampoo & Conditioner)

after changing the hair color last week (HERE), I'm back in the studio for a hair texturizing, so the color gradation pops out better.

how to use 

after shampoo, distribute the conditioner onto wet hair and leave in for 3 minutes. Comb the hair and rinse carefully.

It turns out that salt and sulphate causes the hair 'pores' to open up and the color wont last long. So these goodies are made to keep the hair maintaining it's cosmetic colors. The scent is flowery, mild, and like a perfume. Plus, the soft feeling after each wash is just wonderful.

The conditioner may be used on scalp but need a thorough rinsing so there's no leftover on the scalp. Leave a bit conditioner on the hair ends to keep them protected from dryness.

The trainer also reminds me not to wash my hair every day, once every two days is enough or the scalp will get 'used-to' being washed daily and the sebum will kept being activate. But I don't think I can get used to it now ^__^ I love washing my hair everyday.

My Melody Oil Free Moisturizing and Whitening 3D Fitting Mask

From left to the ride side. On the images I'm using the My Melody Oil Free Moisturizing 3D Fitting Mask and the texture of the mask is lovely. Soft and cottony. Very juicy, and inside the packaging there are more liquid, I can even share this mask with one more person heehee, or after massaging the liquid for the neck and decollete.

The mask is indeed moisturizing and comforting too. The skin clearly love it and no sign of irritation whatsoever. The mask does feels better than other paper mask I've used for being chubbier and thicker ^__^

Fashion Color with Alfa Hair Lounge

Hi there!

Last week, on Friday to be exact, I went to Alfa Hair Lounge for a hair coloring process including bleaching. I thought it's going to be a simple root touch up, but Mr. Eddy has something else prepared for me, a Fashion Color transformation. Ooohhh!!!

I am aware Alfa Hair Lounge have this bleaching creme that made organically and said to be better for the hair. Nourished with Argan Oil, Olive Butter and minus the ammonia fumes.

Below is my hair transformation from before, after bleaching process and after coloring. It took me 3 hours and it was quite fast, since usually I will have to stay almost the whole day. The colors comes out great too. Deeper and vibrant. But it all comes in a price. A painful one.

The bleaching is quite painful and since the scalp already irritated from the bleaching process, coloring become a very difficult procedure I have to bear. It was really painful, I give it 10 out of 10 in terms of pain. The scalp feels burning hot and when I get back at night it seems all over the scalp have bumps and blisters. Around 10 bumps and blisters (yes, I counted them). And since this is not the first time bleaching my hair and coloring, it seems like this unfortunate event can be avoided, by:

1.
Ladies, don't bleach and color the hair when you're in PMS or during menstrual period .... like I did. I discussed this matter with a doctor, trainer at Alfa Hair Lounge, hair stylist, and googled too. It seems like during those times the scalp (and all over the body) is far more sensitive, easily irritated (not just mood swings) and can't hardly take pain as normal person in a normal body condition.

2.
If you happen to have a sensitive scalp, don't bleach and colored the hair until the sensitivity is cured.

3.
Separate the day of bleaching and coloring at least 2 days or 48 hours so the scalp have time to 'rest' and regain strength.

4.
Do not wash your hair prior to bleaching and/or coloring at least 2 days before. The natural oils (and dirt too) will actually protect your scalp from irritation.

5.
Don't bleach and colored your hair when you're not feeling well. Some bleach may 'attack' you physically, causing headache, nausea, and so on. So you need your body to be in tip top condition. And never on empty stomach too. The process can take a while and you need your strength.

6.
Last but not least, consult the stylish on the exact color you want to appear on the hair, and ask numerous question including how long it takes, how to take care the hair, how to maintain the hair, and so on.

Above is the cream used as the colorant on my hair after bleaching. It have a minty feeling that on irritated scalp will feels like burning. Again, all of these can be avoided with those tips (1-5).

After the painful procedure I love the result, haha! I really really do, it's literally after the storm comes a rainbow. The trainer on Alfa Hair Lounge also so kind and they did remind me to never do these again when I'm in my period, it's not recommended by them (they knew I was in my period after the bleaching is done, so it's kinda my bad not to mentioned it .... I don't know it would affect me....so bad). They keep fanning my scalp so the burning feels ... less burning. I even shivered. It was really really painful.

They also the one who told me, next time we need to put bleaching on one day and coloring in another day, so the scalp have time to recover.

Now I'm on day 4 after the bleach and coloring. The scalp is indeed recovering, some bumps are still there but smaller in size and number, the blisters are all dried up, so I'm happy the damage wasn't permanent ^0^ super relieved to be honest.

I'm taking care of my scalp by keeping them clean daily and washes them with shampoo from Alfaparf (from the Keratin Treatment, HERE) followed by the conditioner too for the hair.

Mr. Eddy also gave me a bottle of Precious Oil for the hair.





The honey colored oil have a texture like honey too, so thick yet when touched by the palm it starts melting and become lighter.

HOW TO USE

I use it accordingly and the detangle the hair just fine. At first the oil feels so sticky but as the hair keep being massage gently and dried the oils can't hardly felt again. Leaving the hair so soft, shines and no more tangles. Far away from dry, instead, the hair seems nourished.

Oh yes, I forgot to add, usually after bleaching and coloring the hair (especially on the ends) becomes really dry and breaks out. Mine is not. Yes the scalp is suffering perhaps due to the sensitivity but the hair strands is completely fine. I guess this shown that the products used for bleaching and coloring is really good for the hair. Next time, I'll definitely stays clear from all the problems (not during PMS, period, bleach and coloring in separate days, etc) and will give you another review for the scalp experience using the exact same products (if the chance does come).

I wont have the exact some colors like now thou' (orange, deep violet, and deep blue), maybe I'll have pastels =^0^=
